Means for electric stoves with ceramic coating. We take care of the stove with a glass-ceramic surface. Limescale, streaks

induction hob, as a rule, has a glass-ceramic coating. It looks aesthetically pleasing and stylish, it is not difficult to care for it. The main thing is to choose the right means and keep a few simple recommendations for cleaning glass ceramics.

Induction cooker care products

If you purchased a glass-ceramic cooking hob, then you need to take care of the fixtures and cleaning products. You will need:

  • Scraper. It can be plastic, rubber or more durable - steel with a removable blade.
  • Special cleaners for glass ceramics. They do not scratch the surface, effectively cope even with stubborn dirt. A nice bonus - after using such products, a thin silicone film forms on the glass-ceramic panel. It will protect the delicate material from damage, and will also facilitate the cleaning process in the future.

Well-known manufacturers of household chemicals for the care of glass ceramics are Top House, Domax, Selena-extra. To remove greasy, stubborn stains, the following products can be recommended: KENOLUX GRILL, Adriel, Bagi Shumanit grease remover.

  • Soft sponge, microfiber cloth.
  • Melamine sponge.
  • Wipe the hob after each use, immediately eliminate any dirt that has appeared.
  • Do not use hard brushes, metal sponges, abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents. They leave scratches, cracks, which in the future will cause damage to the entire coating.
  • Select your own, separate, sponges and napkins for cleaning glass ceramics. They can't wash dishes. This will prevent grease from getting onto the surface of the panel, as well as small particles food, which during the subsequent operation of the plate will not only burn out, but will lead to discoloration of the coating.
  • Apply the cleaning agent to a damp sponge, not to the hob itself.
  • Refuse to use oven care products - they are not suitable for glass ceramics in composition. By the way, it’s better not to take a cleaning agent for dishes - after it there are stains and stains of a bluish tint. Sometimes you can use glass cleaner.
  • Finish cleaning the stove by wiping the surface dry. This will avoid ugly divorces, and metal elements protect against rust.

How to properly clean glass ceramic hob

The stove will always look clean if you wipe the surface after each cooking. Fresh traces, stains are much easier and faster to remove.

The technology of conventional cleaning is as follows:

  1. Moisten a soft sponge in a soapy solution or apply a special agent for washing glass ceramics on it.
    Wipe the hob thoroughly.
  2. Use a damp sponge to pick up any remaining detergent.
  3. Wipe the surface with a dry cloth or polish with a paper towel.
  4. If necessary, the surface can be treated again with a detergent, leaving it to act for 30 minutes, and then rinse.

Note: it will be possible to remove stains if a solution of ammonia then thoroughly wipe the surface dry.

Removal of various contaminants

Consider the most common types of stains that leave the following substances:

Sugar

The melted sugar mass should be removed before it has cooled. To do this, use a scraper, acting slowly, without much pressure. If the sugar has cooled down, spray hot water on the stain before cleaning the panel. After that, the heated mass is collected with a scraper. When all the sugar has been removed, the surface is washed with glass ceramic care product.

burnt food

Apply hot water to the burn and start gently scraping it off with a scraper. Remove the remains of burnt products gradually, in layers, constantly wetting the surface with water or wiping with a damp sponge.

A melamine sponge will also help remove carbon deposits, which will erase dirt like an eraser.

What to do if plastic, aluminum foil melted, a rag burned? You should try to immediately remove the contamination with a scraper. In the case when the molten material has had time to cool down, hot water is applied to the stain and only then the burn is scraped off. Finish cleaning the stove in the usual way.

Another option for cleaning soot is to use vegetable oil, and it will cope even with a dried stain. The contaminated surface is treated with oil, left for 30 minutes. After this time, the burn is easily removed with a scraper. It remains to rinse the panel, and the stove is clean again.

Fat

sustainable greasy traces can be removed with baking soda. It should be diluted with water until a thick slurry is formed. Apply this mixture to a damp sponge and then treat the stains. You can briefly leave the substance to act, but just do not allow it to dry out. At the end, it remains to collect soda gruel, which will absorb fat, and wipe the surface.

Limescale, streaks

Stripes from water, stains after cleaning are removed with vinegar solution. Vinegar is mixed with water in equal proportions. For convenience, the prepared mixture is poured into a spray bottle. The substance is applied to the surface of the plate, left for 3 minutes. Remove the remnants of the substance first with a damp sponge, and then wipe with a dry cloth.

All manufacturers recommend cleaning glass-ceramic hob only with soap solutions or special products for glass-ceramics (in the form of creams, pastes or sprays). The latter are good in that they not only clean the surface of the plate, but also leave a dirt-repellent film on it and add shine.

But what to do if a special cleaner is not at hand or it simply cannot wash off stubborn dirt? In this case, funds from your first aid kit or kitchen cabinet, as well as our tips for choosing more effective products for glass ceramics.

Method 1. How to care for a glass-ceramic stove every day

This method is the only one that is officially allowed to be used by all manufacturers of glass-ceramic stoves for daily cleaning.

Instruction:

  1. After cooking (or in the process), while the stove is still hot, carefully remove burnt liquids and food residues with a scraper.
  1. When the stove has cooled down (!), treat the dirty places soapy water(e.g. dishwashing liquid) and rub them with a sponge that is not too hard. You can also wash the stove with a wet sponge and laundry soap.

  1. Remove stubborn stains with a special paste or cream for glass ceramics.
  2. Wipe the stove clean and dry, removing the remains of the product itself.
  • Soap solution or foam cap from it can be left on the stove for 20-40 minutes. The main thing is that the liquid does not leak outside the plate.
  • The main tool for cleaning a glass-ceramic hob is a glass scraper. How to use it? Position the scraper at an acute angle to the surface of the plate and simply move it back and forth.

Method 2. How to clean a glass-ceramic stove with soda

We want to warn you right away: all manufacturers prohibit the use of soda for washing glass ceramics because of its abrasive properties (micro-scratches remain on the surface, because of which the shine is somewhat lost). However, as practice shows, significant harm soda does not bring, and most users use it to wash glass ceramics regularly. If your stove is very dirty and you don't have anything handy, you can try this cleaning method.

Due to its alkaline properties, it copes well with old soot, dirt and grease

Instruction:

  1. Sprinkle baking soda all over the stovetop.
  2. Prepare the solution in a small bowl hot water and dishwashing liquids.
  3. Wet a towel thoroughly with soapy water and completely cover the stove with it as shown in the photo.

  1. Leave the towel on for 15-30 minutes to loosen dirt.
  2. Rub the surface of the plate with the same towel, using the remaining soda as a household item against soot and dirt.
  3. Rinse thoroughly and wipe the glass ceramics clean and dry. If desired, use 9% vinegar to remove baking soda residue more quickly.
  • Instead of one large towel, you can use two small ones.
  • The towel should be wet enough to dissolve the baking soda and wet the surface, but not so wet that puddles form and water runs off the stove.
  • This method of cleaning can be used immediately after method No. 3 (see below) - this will make cleaning even more effective.
  • Particularly stubborn dirt can be removed with soda paste (soda + water in a ratio of 1:1). In this video you can see how to clean a glass ceramic hob with baking soda paste.

Method 3. How to wash a glass-ceramic stove with 9% vinegar

Vinegar is an excellent cleaner for cleaning limescale and grease on glass-ceramic stovetops. Yes, it is no more effective than dishwashing liquid or a regular spray for cleaning glass ceramics, but it is always at hand and inexpensive.

  1. When the stove is cool, spray or soak the dirt with 9% table vinegar, wipe the stove with a damp cloth to remove the dirt.
  2. Wipe the hob clean and dry.

Method 4. How to clean a glass-ceramic stove with toothpaste

Whitening toothpastes contain fine and delicate abrasive particles that can remove burn, dirt and grease. Just apply the paste to the dirty areas, rub them with a sponge and rinse thoroughly to remove any remaining toothpaste.

Method 5. Cleaning the stove with a glass cleaner

An ammonia-based glass cleaner removes grease and dirt from the glass-ceramic hob well, and also restores its shine.

Instruction:

  1. Spray glass cleaner on the stove and wipe with a cloth or a moderately hard sponge.
  2. Wipe the hob with a damp microfiber cloth.

Method 6. Removing difficult stains with a melamine sponge

A melamine sponge can easily and quickly clean glass ceramics, but it must be used carefully. Before using it, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the contraindications and properties of the product.

Instruction:

  1. Spray the stove with soapy water or glass cleaner.
  2. Wipe local dirt with a melamine sponge.
  3. Thoroughly rinse off the remaining melamine sponge, wash the entire surface of the plate with soapy water.

Method 7. How to restore the shine of glass ceramic and protect it from future contamination

For this purpose, there are special products for restoring glass ceramics, but you can use Vaseline or ordinary baby oil instead.

Instruction:

Apply to a clean, washed surface. thin layer oil or vaseline and rub it in with small circular motions soft cloth.

In the household chemicals department of any store you can find cleaning products for glass ceramics like Cilit Bang, Sanita, Shumanit and others. They are good because they are sold everywhere and are inexpensive (relatively), but they are much less effective than professional glass ceramic cleaners. However, they are still useful to have in your arsenal - for daily cleaning and removal of light pollution.

However, if you want to make maintaining your glass ceramic hob as easy as possible or to clean a very worn glass ceramic hob, then we recommend purchasing professional tool from the manufacturer (not necessarily the manufacturer of your stove). The price of any professional cleaner is high (from 500 rubles), but if you try to clean the stove with it at least once, you will not be able to refuse it.

  • So, for example, very effective means produce Electrolux, Indesit, Miele, Korting.

You can buy glass ceramic cleaners in hypermarkets and online stores household appliances(M.Video, MediaMarkt, etc.).

In the video you can see an overview of the Electrolux glass ceramic cleaner.

  • Sprays are convenient to use to remove grease and dirt from the entire surface of the glass-ceramic stove, and pastes and creams come to the rescue when you need to remove especially persistent local dirt around the burners.
  • Products containing glycerin or silicone can restore the shine of the glass ceramic hob and make future cleaning easier.
  • Try to clean the hob immediately after each use: first with a scraper while the hob is hot, then wash with the product after the surface has completely cooled down. Particularly quick to remove: melted plastic, polyethylene film, products containing sugar, such as jam or caramel.

To remove hardened melted plastic, it must be melted again and collected with a scraper.

  • Do not use harsh cleaners such as oven cleaner, bleach, clog cleaner, etc. From them, blue spots may appear on the stove, which are unlikely to be eliminated.
  • Always use pots and pans with clean bottoms.
  • It is undesirable to use utensils made of aluminum and copper, as well as enameled utensils, as they leave marks that are difficult, and sometimes simply impossible, to remove.
  • Do not use abrasive products, hard brushes or sponges.
  • Keep in mind that the scraper blade needs to be changed periodically. One blade is enough for 8-12 months.
  • Do not use table knives or any other sharp objects in place of the special glass scraper. What can temporarily replace the scraper? For removing fresh pollution A silicone spatula works great.
  • After washing the glass-ceramic hob, wipe it dry to prevent limescale and streaks from appearing on it.

How to care for a glass ceramic hob?

  1. Clean regularly with products for glass ceramics, do not leave dirt overnight, do not spill salt and sugar on the hot surface (Pockets will remain).
  2. SHUMANIT for glass ceramics. GREAT!
  3. feed 3 times a day and water more often)
  4. I can say for sure about glass ceramics, I have been using it for several years (I have not tried induction at work, I only looked in the store). you in without fail you will need a scraper (it is included in the set of new plates, but then you have to update it - my Samsung staff was enough for about 1.5 years), abrasive milk such as Frosch or Sif, sponge, soft rag, milk with silicone for glass ceramics (sold in good supermarkets or in mvideo) and paper towels. First, we apply an abrasive milk and wipe off stains and stains with a sponge. If something is burnt, feel free to use three scrapers. Then wash off the milk with a soft cloth, wipe dry with a paper towel. We apply milk with silicone and smear it with a paper towel without washing it off, it will protect the stove until the next thorough washing (the milk is white, but during the application it changes color to black - I don’t know why). Everything, as a result you have a shining plate! And the whole process takes 3 minutes. In this sense, glass-ceramic is much more practical than gas with cast-iron grates.
  5. I have had such a thing in my life for 5 years already, dishes with a flat bottom, and I clean with an ordinary cleaning cream - such as Cif, Pemolux, the composition is the same except for the smell, that special products for glass ceramics, that ordinary cleaning creams, the difference is only in price

  6. Damage to the hob can be caused by grains of sand that have fallen on the hob, for example, when peeling vegetables.
Make sure that the surface of the burners is always dry, as salty water or wet pot bottoms can damage it.
  7. Everything large quantity people buy plates with glass ceramic coating hob. But not everyone knows how to care for this coating.
Glass ceramics do not like sugar, aluminum and plastic.
It cannot be cleaned with iron washcloths, a knife, a brush.
The use of abrasive products is not recommended.
Together with a stove or hob, you need to buy a scraper for cleaning glass ceramics and a special detergent. All this is sold in household appliances stores, less often in household ones. The funds are often issued by the plate manufacturing companies themselves. In some cases, these items are included with the stove, i.e. their cost is already included in the price of the stove or panel, sometimes they need to be purchased separately.
The scraper may be plastic. In this case, its service life is not great. But steel scrapers with removable blades are more common and last longer. They are somewhat similar to razors. A scraper along with blades is expensive compared to sponges, washcloths and dishwashing detergents.
For example, an Electrolux glass-ceramic scraper will cost you 140,160 rubles, a set of ten replacement blades will cost you 150,170 rubles.
Special products for washing glass-ceramics are also expensive - 129,300 rubles. True, they last for a long time, because the consumption is small, and the capacity of the bubbles is usually large, on average 500 ml.
In any case, you will have to buy glass ceramic cleaner, because it makes it much easier to keep the surface clean and well-groomed. Special cleaners not only remove grease stains, food residues and limescale. After cleaning with such a product, a thin silicone film remains on the glass ceramics, which prevents the build-up of fat and food residues. Therefore, in the future, the surface will be cleaned faster. In addition, the film serves additional protection against damage to glass ceramics if you accidentally spill liquid with a high sugar content on the surface.
AEG's recommendations: First remove food residues with a scraper. When the surface is completely cool, apply glass ceramic cleaner and rub it with a paper towel or a clean, soft cloth. Then wipe with a wet and then a dry towel.
Burnt sugar, melted plastic aluminum foil and other fusible materials, remove immediately, while they are still hot, with a scraper. Then clean the cooled cooking zone in the usual way. If the burner with melted materials has already cooled down, heat it up again before cleaning.
Never wipe the surface with a dish sponge as it may leave traces of grease or detergent that will burn off when next inclusion and lead to discoloration of the surface. Clean the glass ceramics around the burners with soapy water and a soft cloth.
Lime and water marks, grease splashes and discolored metallic stains can be removed with conventional ceramic cleaners or stainless steel cleaners. Detergents must not come into contact with the hot glass-ceramic hob! Everything detergents must be removed after cleaning with sufficient clean water, as they can be corrosive when heated afterwards.
The use of dishwashing detergents when cleaning glass ceramics can cause bluish stains. They are difficult to remove even with special tools, but do not affect the operation of the panel. Lime residues can be removed with vinegar.
It is not recommended to clean glass ceramics with oven spray or stain removers.
Clean glass ceramics with glass cleaner.
Damage to the hob can be caused by grains of sand that have fallen on the hob, for example when cleaning
  8. there are products for glass ceramics, sold in m-video, toprens from electrolux, does its job perfectly,
  9. can be washed conventional means glass cleaner or buy a special product for such hobs (they can be sold in shops that sell such hobs or in any other specialized stores) . The main thing is not to wash with abrasive products, after which scratches may remain.
    As well as:
Glass ceramics are afraid of sugar and bulk solids. So if you spilled salt, sugar or some kind of cereal on the surface of a glass-ceramic stove, do not be too lazy to immediately remove it. Otherwise, hard particles (when a pot or pan is placed on them) will scratch the surface. Sugar is harmful to glass ceramics in any form: granulated sugar, jam or jam. Sugar fuses with glass ceramics, changing its surface structure and forming whitish abrasions that cannot be cleaned. In addition, it is not recommended to use cookware with a copper or aluminum bottom. Over time, it leaves a thin layer of metal (erased from the bottom of the dish) on the surface of the glass-ceramic, which is almost impossible to clean off. Depending on which of the precautions you have neglected, scratches, stains and even discoloration may appear on the glass-ceramic surface. It is very insulting and annoying to look at such damage, but they do not affect the functionality of the panel. Here if on working surface there is a crack (from impact or overheating) or you notice a malfunction in the operation of the control panel, you should immediately contact the service. It is dangerous to use such a surface.
    And here's more:
    Care of glass ceramics

Food that has fallen on the stove should be removed from the hot zone as quickly as possible, and its remains should be removed using a scraper that is attached to the hob. After you have removed the food residues with a scraper, you should use a special tool (indicated in the instructions) to clean the surface. Two or three drops of product applied to a damp sponge allow you to completely clean the panel of dirt. After that, the panel should be wiped dry and processed (preferably) special means to protect the glass-ceramic surface. Applying this product will simplify the cleaning procedure next time, because it will create protective film, which protects the plate in case of contact with spilled liquid or food that has fallen on it.

  10. give more flowers
  11. Avoid spilling on non-substances different kind, but if it did happen. Try to remove dirt from the surface as soon as possible.
  12. Regularly
  13. it was necessary to take induction, it does not heat the glass, and therefore nothing burns. And finally .. you can lay it under the pan paper towel and the stove is always clean.
