ARMING WITH A RADIO KEY FOB

  1. Press and release transmitter button 1 (left button).
    • The red LED indicator (LED) of the system will flash slowly.
    • The engine will be blocked.
    • Note: If the siren sounds 3 additional chirps and the turn signals flash 3 more times after arming, the hood, trunk, or doors are not closed, or one of these circuits is faulty. The LED will then flash 2 or 3 times with a pause for 30 seconds, indicating a faulty and bypassed circuit. 3 seconds after this circuit will work normally again, the system will automatically turn it on in the protection circuit.

Note: If feature #10 ("Siren Warning Signals with Door Open") is disabled, which is required when the system is installed on certain vehicle models, the system will only emit standard confirmation tones (1 siren and 1 flash of direction indicators) when armed, even if at the moment of arming, one of the car doors is open. However, if the car door was open at the time of arming and remained open, then 3 seconds after the bypassed circuit ceases to be active, the system will automatically re-arm it.

SILENT ARMING

  1. Switch off the ignition, exit the vehicle and close all doors, hood and trunk.
  2. Press and release transmitter button 2 (right button).
    • The engine will be blocked.
    • The direction indicators will flash once.
    • The siren will not sound.

Note: If the siren beeps 3 times and the turn signals flash 3 more times after arming, the hood, trunk or doors are not closed or one of these circuits is faulty. The LED will then flash 2 or 3 times with a pause for 30 seconds, indicating a faulty and bypassed circuit. 3 seconds after this circuit will work normally again, the system will automatically turn it on in the protection circuit.

    • The doors will lock (if electric locks are installed).
    • If the appropriate connections and programming have been made during installation, the system will automatically close the car windows as well.

ARMING WITH SHOCK DISABLED

  1. Switch off the ignition, exit the vehicle and close all doors, hood and trunk.
  2. Press and release transmitter button 1 to arm the system (or button 2 for silent arming).
    • The system's red LED will flash slowly.
    • The engine will be blocked.
    • The direction indicators will flash 1 time.
    • The siren will sound 1 chirp (when arming silently or if feature #6 is disabled, this siren will not chirp)
    • The doors will lock (if electric locks are installed).
  3. Within 5 seconds, press and release button 2. The shock sensor will be disabled until the next arming of the system.
    • The direction indicators will flash 1 more time.

AUTOMATIC (PASSIVE) ARMING

Attention! This function is programmable and can be disabled at the request of the owner. You can also program the system so that when it is automatically armed, the system will also lock the vehicle doors.

  1. Switch off the ignition, exit the vehicle and close all doors, hood and trunk.
    • As soon as the last door is closed, the red LED will flash rapidly to indicate that the 30 second countdown has begun before auto-arming.
  2. Opening any door, hood or trunk during the 30 second pre-arming countdown will immediately stop the countdown and the LED will turn off. As soon as all doors, hood and trunk are closed again, the 30 second countdown will start again and the LED will flash rapidly again. At the end of the 30 second countdown, the following will happen:
    • The red system LED will flash slowly.
    • The engine will be blocked.
    • The direction indicators will flash once.
    • The siren will sound 1 beep (if feature #6 is enabled).
    • The doors will lock (if power locks are installed and programmable feature #2 is enabled)

Note: If, after the confirmation signals of arming, the siren gives 3 more signals and the direction indicators flash 3 times, this means that the input of the shock sensor is active or faulty.

IMMOBILIZER MODE

In the event that you do not want to use the automatic arming function after turning off the ignition and closing all doors, you can use the programmable immobilizer mode (feature # 7). In this case, 30 seconds after the ignition is turned off, the system will only automatically turn on the engine block, and will not be further triggered by opening the doors, hood or trunk, or from the shock sensor.

You can also use this programmable function in addition to the automatic arming function, but in this case, the immobilizer mode will be activated only when the automatic arming function cannot be started for one reason or another (for example, if one of the doors is left open).

  1. Turn off the ignition and get out of the car.
  2. 30 seconds after turning off the ignition:
    • The system's red LED will start flashing 2 times slower than in normal armed mode.
    • The engine lock will turn on.
  3. If the ignition was turned on when the immobilizer mode was on:
    • The siren will sound warning signals for 10 seconds (during this time you can disarm the system using the transmitter without triggering the system by pressing button 1 on the transmitter) and then, if the system has not yet been disarmed during this time, the alarm mode will turn on - the direction indicators and interior lighting will flash (if this option is enabled), the siren will sound constantly and the pager output will turn on (if the appropriate connections and programming were made during installation).
    • If the ignition is turned off before 10 seconds have elapsed, the warning signals will turn off and the system will remain in immobilizer mode (engine will remain blocked).
    • If the ignition is turned off again after the alarm is turned on, the alarm mode will turn off after a 30-second cycle, and the system will again switch to the immobilizer mode (the engine will remain blocked).
    • If the ignition remains on, the alarm will continue as long as the ignition remains on, but no more than 3 minutes. Then the alarm will turn off, but the engine will remain blocked.
  4. For blackouts immobilizer mode:
    • Press button 1 on the transmitter to arm the system (the siren will beep once, the direction indicators will flash once, etc.).
    • Press button 1 of the transmitter again to disarm the system (the siren will sound 2 times, the direction indicators will flash 2 times, etc.)
    • In the event that the transmitter is lost or not functioning, you can also disable the immobilizer mode using the Valet pushbutton switch.

CAR PROTECTION WHEN ARMED

  • When the outer zone of the shock sensor is triggered (caused by a slight push or hit on the glass or car body), the warning mode will turn on and the siren will give 3 short beeps.
  • Any strong impact or impact on the glass or body of the vehicle will immediately trigger a full 30 second alarm cycle.
  • Opening any door, hood or trunk will immediately sound the siren. The siren will sound for 30 seconds, then turn off and the system will re-arm. If the hijacker left the door, hood or trunk open, the siren will sound for 6 cycles of 30 seconds (if you do not disable the alarm mode using the transmitter earlier) and then arm, bypassing only the circuit that caused the alarm.
  • When the system is activated, the direction indicators will flash for 30 seconds to draw visual attention to the vehicle.
  • If this function is enabled, when the alarm is triggered, the interior lighting will flash during the entire 30-second alarm mode cycle.
  • If the appropriate connections and programming have been made during installation, when the system is triggered, the output to an additional pager will automatically turn on.
  • When armed, the starter interlock and an additional engine blocking circuit (if an additional relay is installed) are enabled, preventing unauthorized starting of the engine.
  • The red LED flashes slowly when armed. This is a visual warning to a potential hijacker. The current consumed by the LED indicator is very small and practically does not drain the battery even over a long period of time. After the system is triggered, the LED will flash in series of flashes after a pause, indicating the zone that triggered.

DYNAMIC ALARM OFF

  1. If the system has been triggered and the alarm mode is activated (siren sounds, direction indicators and interior lighting flash (if this option is enabled), pressing and releasing button 1 of the transmitter once will only turn off the alarm mode (the siren will turn off, etc.). this will remain in guard mode:
    • The siren will give 1 signal.
    • The car doors will be re-locked (if electric locks are installed).

Note: If at the moment the alarm mode is turned off any of the security zones remains active (the door, hood or trunk is open), then 3 seconds after the alarm mode is turned off, the siren will give 3 more signals, the direction indicators will flash 3 times and the LED will flash 2 or 3 times after a pause for 30 seconds, showing the bypassed guard circuit.

  2. To disarm the system, press and release transmitter button 1 again.
    • The siren will give 4 beeps.
    • The direction indicators will flash 4 times.

DISARMING THE SYSTEM

  1. Press and release transmitter button 1 while approaching the vehicle.
    • The red system LED will turn off.

Note: If Programmable Feature #5 is enabled, the LED will flash rapidly to indicate the start of the 30 second countdown before auto-rearming (see below).

    • The siren will sound 2 times (if feature #6 is enabled).

    Note:

      • pressing the transmitter button 1 for the first time will unlock only the driver's door, pressing the transmitter button 1 again within 3 seconds will unlock all doors

SILENT DISARMING

  1. Press and release transmitter button 2 while approaching the vehicle.
    • The red system LED will turn off.

Note: If programmable feature #5 is enabled, the LED will flash rapidly to indicate the start of the 30 second countdown before auto-rearming (see below)

    • The engine will be unlocked.
    • The direction indicators will flash 2 times.
    • The siren will not sound.

Note: If the siren beeps 4 or 5 times and the direction indicators flash 4 times when the system is disarmed, it means that the system was armed in your absence. Before turning on the ignition, determine the zone or trigger that caused the system to operate by the blinking LED (see the Intrusion Warning Signals section below).

    • The doors will be unlocked (if electric locks are installed).
    • If additional relays are installed and the corresponding connections are made:
      • The "polite lighting" of the passenger compartment will turn on for 30 seconds (or until the ignition is turned on).
      • pressing transmitter button 1 for the first time will unlock only the driver's door, pressing transmitter button 1 again within 3 seconds will unlock all doors.

AUTO REARMING

  1. If the automatic re-arming function (feature # 5) is enabled, after disarming the system using the transmitter:
    • The system LED will flash rapidly to indicate the start of the 30 second countdown before auto-rearming.
    • Opening any of the doors, hood or trunk will cancel the countdown. However, if the programmable passive arming feature is enabled, then after all doors are closed again, a 30-second countdown will begin before passive arming.
  2. If the door, hood or trunk of the car was not opened, then 30 seconds after disarming the system, the system will re-arm and:
    • The system LED will flash slowly.
    • The engine will be blocked.
    • The direction indicators will flash once.
    • The siren will sound 1 beep (if feature #6 is enabled).
    • The doors will lock (if electric locks are installed).

INTRUSION WARNING SIGNALS

The system will inform you if there were attempts to break into the car during your absence. If the system worked, then when disarming, the siren will give 4 beeps and the direction indicators will flash 4 times. The LED will then flash a certain number of times with a pause until the ignition is turned on, indicating the zone or trigger that caused the system to last operate. Sit in the vehicle and count the number of LED flashes.

Note: If the main zone of one of the system's sensors or the hood/trunk trigger caused 3 system activations and this zone was disabled by the system's protection against false alarms, then when the system is disarmed, the siren will sound 5 signals and the direction indicators will flash 4 times.

  • If the LED flashes 2 times after a pause, then the operation was caused by an attempt to open the car door or an attempt to turn on the ignition.
  • If the LED flashes 3 times after a pause, etc., then the operation was caused by a shock sensor or an additional sensor connected to this system connector.
  • If the LED flashes 4 times after a pause, etc., then the operation was caused by an attempt to open the hood or trunk.

Note: The activation of the warning zone of the shock sensor is not indicated by the LED.

Information about the zone that triggered the operation is stored in the system memory and is erased at the moment the ignition is turned on or when the system is armed using a transmitter.

TEMPORARY DISABLED AUTO-ARMING FUNCTION

If the auto-arming function is enabled, but you want to disable it temporarily (when refueling the vehicle, at a service station, etc.), use the following procedure:

  1. Turn off the ignition, but do not open the car door.
  2. Within 5 seconds after turning off the ignition, press and hold button 1 and button 2 of the transmitter simultaneously for 1 second.
    • The siren will sound 1 chirp, confirming that the auto-arming function has been disabled until next inclusion ignition or until the system is armed using the transmitter.

Note: this procedure can also be used to temporarily disable the immobilizer mode.

AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKING WHEN IGNITION ON / AUTOMATIC DOOR UNLOCKING WHEN IGNITION OFF

If electric locks are installed and programmable functions #3 and #4 of the system are enabled:

  • The system will automatically lock the car doors 3 seconds after the ignition is turned on, if at that moment all the car doors are closed;
  • The system will automatically unlock the car doors immediately after the ignition is turned off, if all the car doors are closed at that moment.

DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK CONTROL WHILE THE VEHICLE IS DRIVING

If electric locks are installed - with the ignition on, pressing any button on the transmitter will sequentially lock and unlock the car doors.

VALET MODE

  1. Button Valet switch will allow you to turn on the service mode "Valet" (i.e. temporarily disable all security functions of the system), if, for example, you need to leave the car at the station Maintenance. At the same time, the possibility remains remote control Panic mode and door locks.

    For inclusion service mode Valet:

    1. Get into the car and turn on the ignition (the system must be disarmed).
      • The system LED will turn solid, indicating that the system is in Valet mode.

Note: When the system is in Valet mode, each time the ignition is turned off, the siren will give 2 short warning beeps.

    For shutdown service mode Valet:

    1. Turn on the ignition.
    2. Press and hold the Valet button switch for 2 seconds.
      • The system LED will turn off, indicating that Valet mode is disabled.

Note: Don't forget to turn off Valet mode when you no longer need it. This guarantees the constant protection of the car.

  2. Valet switch can also be used to disable the security mode if you have lost the transmitter or if it is defective. In this case:
    1. Open the door with the key. The system will work, the siren will turn on, the direction indicators and interior lighting will flash (if this option is enabled).
    2. Turn on the ignition.
    3. Within 15 seconds, press and release the Valet push button switch.
      • The system LED will turn off.
      • The alarm will turn off, the system will disarm and the engine will be unlocked.

Attention! Please note that the system will not be in Valet mode. This means that if the passive arming feature is enabled, the next time the ignition is turned off and all doors, hood and trunk of the vehicle are closed, a 30 second countdown will begin before passive arming.

PERSONAL SYSTEM DISCONNECT CODE

If programmable feature #9 is programmed accordingly, disarming without the aid of a transmitter, as well as disarming anti-hijack mode will only be possible with your programmed personal code. To program your personal system shutdown code, refer to the "Programmable System Features" section of the Installation Instructions. To disable the system using a personal code:

  1. Open the car door with the key.
    • The system will immediately work, the siren will turn on, the direction indicators will start flashing.
  2. Turn on the ignition.
  3. Within 15 seconds, press and release the Valet pushbutton a number of times equal to your personal code (from 2 to 9), then pause.
    • If the correct code was entered, then after a few seconds the alarm mode (siren and direction indicators) will turn off.
    • The system LED will turn off.
    • The engine will be unlocked.

Note: If the armed mode does not disarm after entering your personal code, the 15-second time interval may have been exceeded or an incorrect code has been entered. In this case, switch off the ignition and enter your personal system deactivation code again.

Attention!

REMOTE PANIC MODE

Remote mode "Panic" is activated by pressing button 1 and button 2 of the transmitter with the ignition off, when the system is armed or disarmed:

  1. At off ignition press and release button 1 and button 2 of the transmitter at the same time. The system siren will sound immediately.
  2. To turn off the panic mode, press and release button 1 and button 2 of the transmitter at the same time. The siren will stop working and the system will return to the state in which it was before the activation of the "Panic" mode.

Remote Panic can also be enabled while the system is in Valet mode. In this case, after the end of the "Panic" mode, the system will again switch to the "Valet" mode.

REMOTE ANTI-HIJACK

This system allows you to turn on the Anti-HiJack (anti-robbery function) using the transmitter.

Remote activation of the Anti-HiJack mode using the transmitter is performed by simultaneously pressing and holding button 1 and button 2 of the system transmitter for 3 seconds with the ignition on. After that, the Anti-HiJack mode will work as follows:

Stage 1: 40*** seconds after turning on the Anti-HiJack function, the siren will sound short warning signals for 5 seconds.

Note ***: Note that the Anti-HiJack timer counts down to stage 2 only when the ignition is on. If at any time before the start of stage 2 the ignition was turned off, the timing of the corresponding stage will pause (the system can even be armed), but will immediately resume as soon as the ignition is turned back on.

Stage 2: 45 seconds after turning on the Anti-HiJack function, the siren will sound, and the direction indicators and interior lighting of the car will flash (if this option is enabled). If the vehicle's ignition is turned off during this time, the system will immediately engage the starter lock.

Stage 3: 30 seconds after the siren is turned on (i.e. 75 seconds after the activation of the Anti-HiJack function), the starter lock will turn on. Siren and direction indicators will continue to work regardless of the position of the ignition key for 3 minutes.

If after these 3 minutes the ignition is turned off, the alarm will be canceled, but the engine will remain blocked. Any subsequent activation of the ignition will restart the 3 minute alarm cycle.

Thus, this algorithm allows you to enable the Anti-HiJack mode in advance, for example, immediately before parking the car. After that, you can turn off the ignition and arm the system. In this case, if you are attacked and your car keys and key fob transmitter of the system are taken from you, the Anti-HiJack mode timer will start immediately after the system is disarmed and the ignition is turned on. It will no longer be possible to disable this mode using the remote transmitter of the system.

Disabling Anti-HiJack Mode:

Once the Anti-HiJack mode has been enabled, it can no longer be disabled with the transmitter, although you can still arm the system with the transmitter when the ignition is off. The method for disabling Anti-HiJack enabled with the transmitter depends on the status of Programmable Feature #9.

  1. Disabling the Anti-HiJack function before the start of stage 2 (i.e. until the siren and turn indicators turn on) is done at any time by pressing the Valet pushbutton switch once (if function # 9 is enabled) or by entering a personal code (if function # 9 is disabled) when ignition on.
  2. To disable the Anti-HiJack mode from the moment the siren and direction indicators are turned on, you will need to turn off and turn on the ignition, and within 15 seconds press and release the Valet button switch (if function # 9 is enabled) or enter your personal code (if function # 9 off).

Attention! If the wrong code was entered 3 times in a row, the system will stop responding to further attempts to enter the code for a while to exclude the possibility of selecting the system shutdown code.

Attention! By turning on the Anti-HiJack anti-theft function, you assume responsibility for possible consequences caused by the possible violent shutdown of the car engine while driving, especially in the case of using engine locks other than those recommended.

FALSE ALARM PROTECTION FUNCTION

In order to avoid, as far as possible, possible frequent false alarms of the system caused by a faulty limit switch, thunder, etc. this system uses an advanced anti-false positive function that works as follows.

  • If the system is triggered 3 times within 60 minutes by a system shock sensor or a hood/trunk trigger (which are the most common cause of false alarms), that sensor or trigger (or also any additional sensors only connected to the same security zone) will be disabled for 60 minutes, or until it is triggered by any other trigger or sensor (connected to another zone), or until the system is disarmed using a transmitter. This will prevent possible subsequent false positives of the system.

Attention! The operation of this function does not apply to door limit switch triggers and, therefore, the number of activations of this protection zone cannot be limited.

  • If the system shock sensor or hood/trunk trigger caused 3 or more activations of the system and was temporarily disabled by the anti-false alarm function, when the system is disarmed, the siren will sound 5 warning signals and the direction indicators will turn on 4 times.

Note: This feature is programmable and can be disabled at the request of the system owner. In this case, the number of possible system activations from any security zone will not be limited.

REMOTE CONTROL OF AUXILIARY DEVICES (ADDITIONAL CHANNEL OUTPUT)

  1. This system has an additional radio-controlled channel that allows you to control various additional devices, first of all, the electric trunk lid lock (an additional relay is required).

To operate the electric trunk lid lock, press button 2 (right button) on the transmitter for at least 3 seconds with the ignition off.

Note: If the auxiliary channel output was turned on while the system is armed, the system will simultaneously disable the shock sensor and the hood / trunk trigger for a while so that opening the trunk does not trigger the system. 3 seconds after the trunk is closed, the system will automatically arm this circuit again.

  2. In addition to the remote trunk lid release function described above, the system's auxiliary channel output can also be used to:
    • Remote turn on car headlights
    • Remote closing of windows and / or sunroof of the car
    • Office additional module remote engine start
    • Controls optional garage door opener interface

To do this, the system's auxiliary channel output type can be programmed at installation as:

    • "pulse" signal, i.e. activated for 1 second or for as long as the button 2 of the transmitter is held down, but not more than 25 seconds;
    • "permanent" signal, i.e. activated by pressing the button 2 of the transmitter for 3 seconds and working until the next press and holding the button 2 of the transmitter for 3 seconds.

If you are using any auxiliary device connected to the system's auxiliary channel output, contact your installer for assistance with remote control of that device.

SAVING THE SYSTEM STATE WHEN THE POWER IS OFF

The system will return to the same state (armed, disarmed, Valet mode, Anti-HiJack mode) in which it was before the power was turned off. In the event that the power was turned off while the system was armed, after connecting the power or trying to start the engine, the alarm mode will immediately turn on.

PROGRAMMING OPTIONAL TRANSMITTERS

TRANSMITTER BUTTON FUNCTIONS

The transmitters included with the system are programmed at the factory as follows:

PROGRAMMING TRANSMITTERS

Up to 4 transmitters can be programmed into the system memory. When trying to program the 5th transmitter, the code of the first transmitter will be "wiped out" from the system's memory, when trying to program the 6th transmitter, the code of the second transmitter will be "wiped" out of the system's memory, etc.

Attention! Remember that each operation must be completed within 15 seconds of the previous operation. If the 15 second interval is exceeded, the system will automatically exit the programming mode, which will be confirmed by one short and one long siren beep. If during programming turned off ignition, the system will also exit programming mode immediately and you will hear one short and one long siren beep.

  1. Disarm the system, get into the car and turn on the ignition.
  2. Press the Valet button 3 times. You will hear 1 siren tone after a pause, after which the LED will begin to flash, confirming that the system is ready to program a new transmitter.
  3. Press and hold any transmitter button until you hear a long siren beep to confirm that the new transmitter has been programmed. The LED will then stop flashing and remain lit.
  4. To exit programming mode:
    • turn off the ignition or
    • press the Valet button again, or
    • wait 15 seconds without doing anything.

You will hear one short and one long chirp to confirm that the system has exited programming mode.

SYNCHRONIZATION OF TRANSMITTERS

Since the system transmitters use a constantly changing (dynamic) code, in certain, albeit rather rare situations (for example, when pressing the key fob buttons more than 50 times away from the car), desynchronization of the key fob codes and the security system may occur. In this case - go to the car and quickly press the transmitter button twice. Synchronization will be restored and the key fob will again be able to control the system.

TRANSMITTER LOW BATTERY WARNING / REPLACE THE BATTERIES IN THE SYSTEM TRANSMITTER

A small LED is installed in the transmitter housing, which confirms the pressing of the transmitter buttons and also shows the battery status. As the battery discharges, you may notice a decrease in the range of the transmitter and, accordingly, a weakening of the LED.

To replace the battery:

  1. Open the cover by unscrewing the small screw reverse side transmitter housing.
  2. Remove the dead battery and remember the polarity of its installation.
  3. Install a new battery (type 23A), make sure the polarity is correct.
  4. Carefully install the cover without damaging the LED or switches on the circuit board.

How to install correctly?

In accordance with the installation manual, the installation of Panther systems is carried out on vehicles with the on-board network turned off, so the battery must be disconnected. You can also connect all alarm elements to a 12-volt power source in advance to make sure that it works.

Tips for the location and installation of alarm elements:

  1. The control unit is installed in the car, in the most hidden place. For additional protection module from water and vibrations during movement, the device can be wrapped with cellophane and foam rubber. The block is placed with the block down to prevent dripping of condensate drops along the wires to the board. It is recommended to install the module behind the device combination in order to ensure the minimum length of conductors when connecting.
  2. The transceiver with an antenna and a built-in temperature sensor is mounted on the car window. For installation, you need to use the rear window, if there is a protective film on the windshield, the latter can cause a shielding effect. The surface on which the transceiver is installed is pre-cleaned and degreased. Do not mount the antenna near electronic equipment and metal devices, this will cause the range to be reduced.
  3. The siren is located under the hood. The device must not be mounted next to the cylinder head or metal surfaces adjacent to it. The siren should be placed with the horn facing down to prevent moisture from accumulating inside.
  4. The shock sensor is mounted in the vehicle interior, it is recommended to place it in the central part of the body. During installation, it is necessary to provide free access to the adjusting elements of the controller.
  5. Additional regulators are mounted in accordance with the recommendations specified in the service manual.
  6. The button for entering the service mode is located in the passenger compartment. It needs to be hidden.
  7. Limit switches are mounted on moving elements of the body. Installation of triggers is not allowed in drains and places where moisture accumulates.

Key fob programming

For the CLK 355 model, the communicator is bound as follows:

  1. Vehicle security is disabled.
  2. During the next five seconds, the ignition is switched on.
  3. During the next 5 s, the user presses the button to enter the service mode three times.
  4. Then you need to wait until the siren works once.
  5. The ignition system is switched on. Two sound pulses should work - one is longer, the second is short. This will cause the LED light to blink.
  6. During the next 10 s, any button is pressed on the assigned communicator. Upon successful programming, the siren will play one long beep.

In the LX-320 model, binding is done differently:

  1. The ignition is activated.
  2. The service mode button is pressed and held. It can be released after the siren has sounded 4 times.
  3. The first button on the communicator is pressed (with the closed lock indicator). If it binds additional keychain, uses a similar control.
  4. The same actions are performed for programming the remaining key fobs. The time between pairing devices should be no more than five seconds, otherwise the alarm will exit the setup menu.
  5. The car's ignition is switched off. External lighting fixtures must blink five times.
Video: Panther keychain binding

The channel "In the garage" in its video demonstrated in detail how to set up a communicator from a security Pantera systems.

Enabling and disabling security modes

The security function is activated by pressing the button with an indicator in the form of a closed lock. Pressing should be short-term, and in confirmation the system will give one sound and light signals. If you want to enable silent security, the indicator on the keyfob display must be moved to the position of the corresponding indicator and the second button should be pressed. I mean key II.

The protection of a car with a running engine can be enabled as follows:

  1. The parking brake is raised in the car.
  2. On a car with a running power unit, button I is pressed. It must be held for several seconds until the communicator emits a melodic signal and the external lights blink.
  3. The car's ignition is switched off. The key must be removed from the lock. The motor must remain running.
  4. Then the user must exit the car and lock all doors. The key with the closed padlock icon is pressed. After that, the alarm should block the operation of the engine and other components.

Activation of the protective function without using a key fob is performed as follows:

  1. The car turns on the ignition, but the engine does not start.
  2. The button for entering the service mode is pressed eight times.
  3. The ignition is deactivated. The siren and external lights should work once each.
  4. In the next twenty seconds, the user must leave the car and lock all door locks with a key. After 20 seconds, the protection mode will be activated.

It is important to know

Disabling the normal security mode is done by briefly pressing the key with open lock key fob. Similarly, protection is deactivated on a car with a running engine.

The emergency shutdown of the security function is performed as follows:

  1. The vehicle door is opened with a key. The system siren will sound.
  2. The ignition is activated, but the engine does not start.
  3. During the next twenty seconds, the service mode button is pressed four times.
  4. The ignition is turned off. When disabling the security mode, external lighting devices will work twice.

Autorun settings

There are several ways to start the engine:

  1. By temperature. To activate the option, the cursor on the key fob screen is moved to the indicator with a thermometer and the inscription "Start", after which the II key is pressed. An icon with an indicator in the form of a thermometer will appear on the remote control display. Disabling the option is done in the same way.
  2. By timer. The principle of setting and disabling the option is identical. Only now the user must select an icon on the key fob screen with the inscription "Start" and an indicator in the form of a dial.

If you want to start the power unit on command, you need to hold down the I button on the remote control. This element is held for three seconds, after which the engine should start.

Restoring factory settings

If one of the functions does not work or does not function correctly, you can try to solve the problem by resetting the parameters.

To do this, you must perform the following steps:

  1. The vehicle's ignition system is switched on.
  2. The service mode entry button is pressed ten times.
  3. The ignition in the car is deactivated. If the siren then beeps ten times, this indicates that the reset menu has been entered.
  4. The service button is pressed once. The siren will sound.
  5. On the communicator, a control with a closed lock is pressed. Upon successful reset of the parameters, one sound signal.
  6. To leave the menu, the ignition is activated.

Advantages and disadvantages of Panther systems with autorun

List of benefits:

  1. Large selection of different models that differ in characteristics and functionality. On sale you can find both cheap systems with automatic start, and more expensive options.
  2. The ability to control the system using mobile device. This allows you to implement only modern versions of Panther.
  3. Versatility. This allows you to use the Panther alarm on any car that matches its parameters. Installation of the system is possible on diesel and gasoline engines, as well as on vehicles with mechanical and automatic boxes gears.

In accordance with consumer reviews, the disadvantages of such alarms are as follows:

  1. Quick discharge of the battery in the key fob. The presence of a power saving mode does not allow solving this problem, especially during the initial setup of the system. The average battery life is about three months.
  2. Dynamic signal encryption technology is an outdated encoding option. This technology is used in some modern models. It should be taken into account that a professional criminal can easily bypass such an encoding.

Video: setting up autorun

Channel "Sigmax69" on the example of the model Panther 625 showed the tuning process auto start engine.

The device with which the control is carried out is a key fob. It has five buttons with which you can give commands. Communication is two-way. For issuance necessary information The key fob is equipped with a small LCD display.

In addition to the main key fob, the set also includes an additional key fob with four buttons. The radius at which two-way communication is provided is one thousand meters. If we talk about the distance at which an information signal can be transmitted, then we are talking about two thousand meters.

Main functions

The Panther keychain has a number of important functions for car security, but the functionality is not limited to them. In order to specifically imagine the possibilities, we will tell you in more detail about its functionality.

  • Hours provided. Of course, in our time this does not surprise anyone, but we note that this function is supplemented by the presence of an alarm clock, as well as a countdown timer.
  • The code provides protection against scanning and interception. As is known, modern technologies in some cases, they allow unauthorized access to the system, but in this case, a dynamic modification of the program code is provided, which provides an increased level of protection in such situations.
  • Arming function with disabled signaling to the main key fob. Defence from false positive. On the one hand, this can somewhat reduce the degree of protection of the car when trying to steal it. On the other hand, there are cases of accidental operation from the weather ( heavy rain) or other similar effects on the vehicle. In any case, the driver can use it if he sees fit.
  • The ability to transfer a call from inside the car to the owner's key fob. This may be important in the event that a passenger remains in the car and he wants to remind the driver of himself.
  • Remote engine start. There are several different use cases here. There is a start on command. It also provides periodic start with shutdown. A regular interval of time after which the engine is started can be specified. It is possible to start depending on temperature changes.
  • Some other features.

Contents of delivery

This system consists of several parts. After purchase, they must be carefully installed. If the driver has some skills in working with such equipment, then he can easily install it. If this seems too difficult, then it makes sense to contact the appropriate specialist. We list the main devices that make up the Panther.

  • Main electronic unit.
  • A keychain with a display and five control buttons.
  • Additional keychain. There is no display on it and there are only three control buttons.
  • The shock sensor is two-level.
  • Siren for giving a loud sound signal.
  • A relay that is designed to block the engine at the command of the security system.
  • A special block with wires designed to install a blocking relay.
  • LED indicator, along with its cable.
  • Pushbutton switch for Valet operating mode. Sometimes the question may arise as to what this mode is intended for. The point here is to turn off some protective functions when it is necessary for the driver. Such a situation, for example, may arise during the washing of the car.
  • The scope of delivery includes a limit switch.
  • Wire kit.
  • Instruction.
  • Package.
As an example, we can say about the possibility of installing GPS sensors. Such additions will increase the level of safety for the car.

How the key fob works

Once upon a time, in the very first models it was used static code. Due to the fact that it constantly retained its value, there was a high probability of hacking and, as a result, the ability to turn off the alarm when stolen. This level of security was clearly insufficient.

In the future, the creators began to use much more secure dynamic code. The principle of its operation is that with each command given by the key fob, the access codes of both the key fob and the entire security system change.

Since this approach uses a different code each time, the likelihood of hacking has dropped dramatically. However, such a possibility still exists.

In modern models, the principle of operation of the key fob has been improved again. The dialogue model of code change is taken as a basis here. It is said that its formation occurs in three stages.

  1. The key fob communicates with the security system.
  2. Based on the received data, a special signal is sent to the key fob.
  3. Taking into account the received information, the key fob makes changes in the codes of the security system.

This security system makes it virtually impossible to crack the system's access codes.

User manual

In order for everything to work correctly, you need to competent installation and programming. The accompanying instructions should serve as the basis for this. Let's talk about it briefly.

The first section of the document briefly lists the main features. Then there is a list of functions that will need to be programmed. Here are some of them.

  1. Automatic arming.
  2. Locking doors when arming.
  3. Locking the doors when the ignition is turned on.
  4. Unlocking the doors in the same situation.
  5. immobilizer mode.
  6. False alarm protection.
  7. Restarting the system in automatic mode.
  8. A thirty-second delay to turn on the guard (we are talking about the fact that if you start the engine without turning off protective mode, then the siren will be turned on after the specified time).
  9. And also some other features.

The following section describes how to give certain commands using various key fob button presses.

  • Unlocking or locking doors.
  • Turning on or off protection.
  • Complete or partial shutdown of the shock sensor.
  • Silent activation of the security system.
  • Temporary cancellation of passive arming of the car.
  • Enable or disable Panic mode. We are talking here about the short-term inclusion of chaotic sound and light signals for a short period of time.

The second part of the manual is followed by a detailed description with explanations for each issue discussed.

The programmable functions are considered in detail and it is described in detail how to configure them.

Ends instruction detailed description security system devices and the process of its installation.

What to do in case of malfunctions

As in any technical device sometimes malfunctions may occur. Let's consider several possible situations of this kind.

The range of the key fob is very important for the safety of the car. If it starts to decrease rapidly, then something needs to be done about it. In this case, the most likely cause is a dead battery. This is a possible, but not the only reason.

In order for the security system to recognize the key fob, it needs to “remember” about it, remember its data. To correct this, it is necessary to carry out the key fob data initialization procedure, which is described in the instruction manual.

If the key fob stopped working with a discharged car battery, with a possible sudden exposure to an electromagnetic field or due to a very low temperature, its operation may change unpredictably, some attempts must first be made to correct this situation. To do this, it is necessary to carry out an emergency shutdown and, having driven a certain distance, check the operation of the system. Sometimes repeated pressing of the key fob buttons can help.

If the malfunction continues to occur, then the next step is to disassemble the key fob. It needs to be untwisted and checked for dust and dirt and for the integrity of the contacts. It is also possible for liquid to enter the key fob. You need to clean it and check the health of the system.

If this kind of measures did not help, then it makes sense to contact a service workshop.

Security system programming

In order to properly configure the security functions of the system, it is necessary to program some of its functions. When buying a Panther, there are pre-set parameters described in the instruction manual. Perhaps this will suit you. If not, then you will need to enter the programming mode. Let's briefly describe how to do this.

  • Initially, you need to turn off the security system and get into the car.
  • Using the Valet button, additionally make sure that the security system is disabled.
  • Enter your personal code to access programming mode. It is issued upon purchase of the system and can be entered only once.
  • Start the car, turn off the ignition and press the Valet button as many times as the first digit of the security code. Try to keep within the allotted time. If the code consists of several digits, then you need to enter them, not forgetting the need to comply with a strict time schedule.
  • After entering the program, you need to press the Valet button three times. After that, a beep should sound and the system indicator light should start flashing.
  • After that, you need to turn on the ignition or do nothing for a while until a signal sounds (one short and one long beep). After that, the system will go into security mode.

Types and models

Consider the most popular models of car alarms that can be found on sale today. Photos of such devices can be found in the article.

  1. Pantera SLK 625RS with two key fobs is one of the most popular anti-theft systems among our car enthusiasts. The SLK 625RS model is equipped with an auto-start option. According to the data in the instruction manual, the operating range is 1 km, if the alert mode is activated, then the range can be up to 2 km. Of course, in fact, this figure will be lower, since such a range is relevant for open areas, without building structures.
  2. SLK 675RS ver.2. Also, our motorists often choose model SLK 675RS ver.2. The SLK 675RS ver.2 is also equipped with an auto start function, thanks to which the motorist can always set a specific time at which the engine should start.
  3. Car alarm models with two key fobs Pantera SLK 20SC, SLK 35SC have a wide range of functionality. You can find out from the instruction manual that the SLK 35SC is equipped with a remote door and trunk opening function. One of the features of the SLK 35SC is the "polite" lighting option, which requires an additional relay to connect.
  4. Models Pantera XS-1500 and XS-1000 with two key fobs are equipped with options for protection against false inclusions. Also, the Pantera XS-1500 and XS-1000 devices have a Panic mode, which has been improved by the manufacturer's engineers. Pantera XS-1500 and XS-1000 allow you to automatically arm the car, and these systems are also equipped with an immobilizer. If necessary, the Pantera XS-1500 and XS-1000 allow you to configure the system so that the doors automatically close after the ignition is turned on.
  5. Pantera QX 270. One of distinctive features Pantera QX 270 with two key fobs is the ability to program a personal code that will allow you to turn off the system. If the QX 270 car enters a potentially dangerous area, for example, with electromagnetic waves, then a corresponding message will be displayed on the key fob. In addition, there, on the QX 270 keychain, the nearest safe zone to leave the car.
  6. QX 44. As for the QX 44 model, it also has some features. For example, as stated in the operating instructions, System 44 is equipped with a loud and very powerful six-tone siren and six independent security zones in the car.

Instructions for use

If you decide to purchase an alarm of this brand with two key fobs, then it will be useful for you to read the instruction manual. What is the connection diagram, how to properly configure and disable? You will find answers to these questions below.

How to connect?

To properly connect the anti-theft system to the vehicle, use the wiring diagram below. The scheme is given in accordance with the instruction manual.

How to setup?

To properly connect and configure the system, refer to the instruction manual. As you understand, there are a lot of types of such car alarms, respectively, the instructions for setting up and operating will be different for all types. With regard to general settings, one point should be noted. If the system works even if simple movement next to a vehicle, the sensitivity function needs to be reset.

In most cases, as indicated in the instructions for use, there can be two reasons for increased sensitivity:

  • if the system sensitivity level is set to the highest level;
  • if the shock sensor is installed incorrectly or loosely fastened.

To reduce the sensitivity level of the anti-theft system, you must use the instruction manual. As stated in service manual, it is necessary to adjust the regulator installed directly on the shock sensor.

Experts recommend setting the fifth level on the scale, but here everything is usually individual. You need to set one or another level, then lightly tap on windshield or vehicle body. So you can choose the right level. To enable or disable the alarm, simply use the appropriate buttons on the key fob (video by Auto Azart).

Possible malfunctions

As practice shows, in general, the Pantera car signaling is a reliable anti-theft system.

But as the reviews show, there are certain malfunctions that are typical for such alarms:

  1. The remote refuses to work. In this case, there may be several solutions to the problem. First of all, it is necessary to check the performance of the battery in the key fob, as practice shows, most often the problem lies precisely in it. If low-quality batteries are used regularly, there is a chance that they will release a corrosive liquid, which can be harmful if it gets on the board. If replacing the battery does not help, then you can try to synchronize the key fob with the anti-theft system in accordance with the instructions.
  2. Failure of the system block itself. The system unit itself usually rarely breaks down, but despite this, some car owners also face the problem of failure. As a rule, the unit can fail when moisture gets on it, this often happens in domestic cars that get water during rain. If the unit is installed under the hood cable in the cabin, then please note that when you try to open the hood, water can enter the cabin through the cable. And if the device is installed directly below it, then the probability that sooner or later the block will close is very high.
  3. Burnout indicator light. With long-term operation of the signaling, it is likely that the indicator light will burn out over time. This will not affect the operation of the anti-theft system in any way, but the driver will not be able to find out whether he has put the car on the signaling or not. The problem is solved by opening the indicator and replacing the light bulb with a new one.

Pros and cons of the anti-theft system

First the benefits:

  • the car will always be under reliable protection;
  • if necessary, the signaling can be configured so that it is the most sensitive and even reacts to touching the car;
  • functions normally even at critically low temperatures;
  • the autostart function will allow you to drive a car that has already been warmed up in extreme cold.

Disadvantages:

  • the price does not always correspond to the quality;
  • in the absence of experience, it can be problematic to install the anti-theft system yourself;
  • in practice, remotes often fail;
  • prices for quality Pantera options are quite high.

Video "How to synchronize the remote with the signaling"

The signaling brand Panther is presented on Russian market almost since its inception. And the alarms of this brand have gained well-deserved popularity. First of all, of course, we are talking about the reliability of security systems, presented in a wide range and offered at affordable price. But from the point of view of the installer, the Panther brand is not the best way. Installation of these alarms requires a certain skill. Consider typical mistakes allowed when installing one of these systems - namely, Pantera SLK 625RS ver 3. Enjoy reading.

Problems with the implementation of autorun

AT in large numbers you can find reviews that say the following: they connected the alarm, and everything works except autorun. Also, in order to make autorun work, on a car with a manual gearbox, you have to use the wrong setting option, that is, “AKP”. And most often you can’t even find errors - everything is connected correctly, but the system behaves incomprehensibly. Why this is so, let's take a closer look.

The subtleties of connecting the handbrake control

It would seem that it is difficult to connect one wire to the handbrake limit switch. This wire itself, coming from the signaling, will be shorted to ground. A diode can also be added to the circuit to protect the “regular” circuits:

Standard handbrake connection

At the diode terminals, if it is not a Schottky diode, the voltage drop exceeds 0.5 volts. What is not taken into account.

When the contacts of the microbutton are closed, the control wire is connected to the ground. But this is not enough. When the handbrake is not activated, the potential at the test point should be 12 volts. For the signaling of the model in question, this is important!

Sometimes the connection is made without a diode, as the instruction recommends:

It seems that if there are no extra details, there will be no problems. But, nothing of the sort! Part of the voltage drops control lamp. The voltage at the signaling input, when the contacts are open, should not be much less than 12 volts. Check.

It is clear that it all depends on the resistance of the lamp - if it is too large, the signaling does not work correctly. The solution can be considered the installation of a second microbutton. Instead of a lamp, a resistor (1000 ohms) is then connected. Everything said in this chapter is related to cars with manual transmission.

Autostart wires

First, let's see what the power 6-pin connector looks like:

Power cable connection diagram

Both red cords are connected to the 30th terminal of the lock. The purple cord will power the starter. The pink cable must be connected to the 15th terminal. Well, the pink and white cord actually duplicates the pink. This fact is confirmed by reviews.

The main alarm connector does not contain a single wire, the purpose of which can be changed. What applies to all versions of the signaling, including ver 3. And in models that do not belong to the 625th family, there is one “programmable” power wire.

The voltage on the orange wire disappears when the starter is running. Maybe you connect this cord to terminal 15/2 - it all depends on the design of the car. The signal connector also has cables, which will be important to connect:

Wiring diagram of the main connector

The violet-yellow cord, as stated in the instructions, should receive a positive potential at the time of starting “from the key”. The red and white cord is the signaling power supply. A purple-white cable is also desirable to connect, and connect it to the tachometer.

It turns out that the purple power and purple-white signal cords are included in the break in the cable that feeds the starter.

The yellow-black wire is the crawler control. The wire closes to ground, and the crawler works. By default, the response time is equal to the engine running time. Another option is to turn on for 1 second to emulate pedaling.

Lock with terminal 15/2

Is it difficult to control the motor?

It is desirable that the alarm receive information about whether the engine is currently running. To security functions Engine control has nothing to do with it. In general, if you are connecting without autostart, you can skip this chapter. Immediately, we note that it is better to connect the control cord to the tachometer.

The best option for engine control

In this case, a resistor and a capacitor are added to the circuit.

Analyzing the reviews, you will find out that the ratings should be as indicated in the diagram: 1 microfarad (50 Volts), 680 kOhm. The check was carried out on signaling versions ver 2, and it is unlikely that something has changed with the upgrade to "version 3".

Of course, another option is possible. The cord is connected to the terminal, which receives the potential "+12" at startup. In this case, a resistor with a capacitor is not needed! The settings table, in turn, contains three options:

Table of autorun options

Default settings are in Bold font.

Implementing control by tachometer, you will need to perform "learning":

Idle learning procedure

Let's list all the steps:

  1. Turn on the ignition, start the engine;
  2. Not later than 5 seconds after turning the key to the START label, press the Valet button connected to the main unit;
  3. When the LED, which is also connected to the main unit, starts to burn constantly, the button is released;
  4. Light indication, if connected, will work 1 time.

The picture posted above is copied from the instructions for the signaling 625RS ver 3. If something does not work, look for another connection point or use a different control method.

The motor cannot be controlled by the voltage of the onboard network. As a last resort, if autorun does not work, you can try turning off control (value 1 for option 2.9). How to do programming, consider now.

Setting procedure

Consider the sequence that allows you to start programming the system:

  1. The ignition is turned on and the Valet button is pressed 3 times within 15 seconds;
  2. The siren will sound, then the ignition is immediately turned off;
  3. Two beeps will sound, the ignition is turned on again;
  4. To adjust the options listed in the second table (see above), the Valet button is pressed and held for 3 seconds;
  5. Single clicks on the Valet button select the option number;
  6. Value 1 is selected by pressing the "Close" key on the key fob;
  7. The value 2 and the following correspond to the "Open" key, which is pressed 1 or more times.

For programming, you can use both the main and additional key fobs:

Additional key fob Pantera SLK

By the way, in steps 6-7, you can simultaneously press and hold the following two buttons: “trunk”, “AUX”. Then in 3 seconds the settings are reset to "initial".

If a personal code has been set, its value must be entered before "step 1". In this case, the Valet button is used. You need to turn the ignition on, turn it off and on again, and then enter the first digit. The ignition is turned off and on, then the second digit is entered.

Before "step 1" the ignition must be turned off. For all signaling versions, including ver 3, the factory code value is two units.

Why are diodes needed?

Main signaling unit with transition to latest version began to be produced on a new element base.

Retail Kit 625RS

Let's compare three different versions:

  • Ver 2 - differences from signaling released in "version 1" can only be found in the firmware;
  • The latest (third) version - a new one has appeared element base, but the circuit solutions have changed little.

To the signaling, released in previous versions, the turn signals were connected through diodes:

Connection option from the instructions

With the transition to a new generation, the situation has not changed. When connecting turn signal lamps, use two diodes.

Side lights, unlike turn signals, are connected directly to the block connector. Diodes are not required.

The following shows what the control cord (brown) is connected to when it comes to installation in a VAZ car:

Pantera signaling connected to BUS

Schottky diodes are used here, rated for 1 Ampere. In the first case, when connecting the lamps, you need to choose a different value. And also, remember that the power diode heats up during operation.

Maybe someday there will be a signaling in version ver 4, and power diodes will be built into it. And you can’t get away from connecting signal, that is, low-current diodes. In some cars, the block is connected to one limit switch, in others - to four. The use of external signal diodes is optimal.
