How to install correctly?

In accordance with the installation manual, the installation of Panther systems is carried out on vehicles with the on-board network turned off, so the battery must be disconnected. You can also connect all alarm elements to a 12-volt power source in advance to make sure that it works.

Tips for the location and installation of alarm elements:

  1. The control unit is installed in the car, in the most hidden place. For additional protection module from water and vibrations during movement, the device can be wrapped with cellophane and foam rubber. The block is placed with the block down to prevent dripping of condensate drops along the wires to the board. It is recommended to install the module behind the device combination in order to ensure the minimum length of conductors when connecting.
  2. The transceiver with an antenna and a built-in temperature sensor is mounted on the car window. For installation, you need to use the rear glass, if there is a windshield protective film, the latter can cause a screening effect. The surface on which the transceiver is installed is pre-cleaned and degreased. It is not allowed to mount the antenna near electronic equipment and metal devices, as this will cause a decrease in the range.
  3. The siren is located under the hood. The device must not be mounted near the cylinder head or metal surfaces adjacent to it. The siren should be placed with the horn facing down to prevent moisture from accumulating inside.
  4. The shock sensor is mounted in the vehicle interior, it is recommended to place it in the central part of the body. During installation, it is necessary to provide free access to the adjusting elements of the controller.
  5. Additional regulators are mounted in accordance with the recommendations specified in the service manual.
  6. The button for entering the service mode is located in the passenger compartment. It needs to be hidden.
  7. Limit switches are mounted on moving elements of the body. Installation of triggers is not allowed in drains and places where moisture accumulates.

Key fob programming

For the CLK 355 model, the communicator is bound as follows:

  1. Vehicle security is disabled.
  2. During the next five seconds, the ignition is switched on.
  3. During the next 5 s, the user presses the button to enter the service mode three times.
  4. Then you need to wait until the siren works once.
  5. The ignition system is switched on. Two sound pulses should work - one is longer, the second is short. This will cause the LED light to blink.
  6. During the next 10 s, any button is pressed on the assigned communicator. Upon successful programming, the siren will play one long beep.

In the LX-320 model, binding is done differently:

  1. The ignition is activated.
  2. The service mode button is pressed and held. It can be released after the siren has sounded 4 times.
  3. The first button on the communicator is pressed (with the closed lock indicator). If it binds additional keychain, uses a similar control.
  4. The same actions are performed for programming the remaining key fobs. The time between pairing devices should be no more than five seconds, otherwise the alarm will exit the setup menu.
  5. The car's ignition is switched off. External lighting fixtures must blink five times.
Video: Panther keychain binding

The channel "In the Garage" in its video demonstrated in detail how to set up a communicator from the Pantera security system.

Enabling and disabling security modes

The security function is activated by pressing the button with an indicator in the form of a closed lock. Pressing should be short-term, and in confirmation the system will give one sound and one light signal. If you want to enable silent security, the indicator on the keyfob display must be moved to the position of the corresponding indicator and the second button should be pressed. I mean key II.

The protection of a car with a running engine can be enabled as follows:

  1. The parking brake is raised in the car.
  2. On a car with a running power unit, button I is pressed. It must be held for several seconds until the communicator emits a melodic signal and the external lights blink.
  3. The car's ignition is switched off. The key must be removed from the lock. The motor must remain running.
  4. Then the user must exit the car and lock all doors. The key with the closed padlock icon is pressed. After that, the alarm should block the operation of the engine and other components.

Activation of the protective function without using a key fob is performed as follows:

  1. The car turns on the ignition, but the engine does not start.
  2. The button for entering the service mode is pressed eight times.
  3. The ignition is deactivated. The siren and external lights should work once each.
  4. In the next twenty seconds, the user must leave the car and lock all door locks with a key. After 20 seconds, the protection mode will be activated.

It is important to know

Disabling the normal security mode is done by briefly pressing the key with the key fob open. Similarly, protection is deactivated on a car with a running engine.

The emergency shutdown of the security function is performed as follows:

  1. The vehicle door is opened with a key. The system siren will sound.
  2. The ignition is activated, but the engine does not start.
  3. During the next twenty seconds, the service mode button is pressed four times.
  4. The ignition is turned off. When disabling the security mode, external lighting devices will work twice.

Autorun settings

There are several ways to start the engine:

  1. By temperature. To activate the option, the cursor on the key fob screen is moved to the indicator with a thermometer and the inscription "Start", after which the II key is pressed. An icon with an indicator in the form of a thermometer will appear on the remote control display. Disabling the option is done in the same way.
  2. By timer. The principle of setting and disabling the option is identical. Only now the user must select an icon on the key fob screen with the inscription "Start" and an indicator in the form of a dial.

If you want to start the power unit on command, you need to hold down the I button on the remote control. This element is held for three seconds, after which the engine should start.

Restoring factory settings

If one of the functions does not work or does not function correctly, you can try to solve the problem by resetting the parameters.

To do this, you must perform the following steps:

  1. The vehicle's ignition system is switched on.
  2. The service mode entry button is pressed ten times.
  3. The ignition in the car is deactivated. If the siren then beeps ten times, this indicates that the reset menu has been entered.
  4. The service button is pressed once. The siren will sound.
  5. On the communicator, a control with a closed lock is pressed. Upon successful reset of the parameters, one beep will sound.
  6. To leave the menu, the ignition is activated.

Advantages and disadvantages of Panther systems with autorun

List of benefits:

  1. Large selection of different models that differ in characteristics and functionality. On sale you can find both cheap systems with automatic start, and more expensive options.
  2. The ability to control the system using mobile device. This allows you to implement only modern versions of Panther.
  3. Versatility. This allows you to use the Panther alarm on any car that matches its parameters. The system can be installed on diesel and gasoline engines, as well as vehicles with mechanical and automatic boxes gears.

In accordance with consumer reviews, the disadvantages of such alarms are as follows:

  1. Quick discharge of the battery in the key fob. The presence of a power saving mode does not allow solving this problem, especially during the initial setup of the system. The average battery life is about three months.
  2. Dynamic signal encryption technology is an outdated encoding option. this technology is used on some modern models. It should be taken into account that a professional criminal can easily bypass such an encoding.

Video: setting up autorun

The Sigmax69 channel, using the example of the Panther 625 model, showed the process of setting up an automatic engine start.

There is one quality that distinguishes the Pantera alarm from many competing solutions. For building systems with autorun equipment Pantera fit better than anything else. Let's say automatic start is temporarily not needed. Then, you can not connect the 6-pin connector installed on the main module. You can retrofit the system with autostart at any time by simply connecting 2-3 wires. The wiring diagram is provided by the manufacturer.

What is "Panther"

Perhaps you have experience in installing car alarms, including those equipped with auto start. Then you know that the main module is powered through a connector containing 6 separate pins. For Pantera security systems, everything will be different:

Files and site pantera.ru

The Pantera alarm of the model considered here does not work without the equipment supplied with it. The kit contains a set of the following devices:

  • The main module of the car alarm Panther SLK;
  • A set of key fobs: one main remote, one additional;
  • Molex terminal block with 16-pin wiring;
  • Molex terminal block for connection to the central locking module or directly to the actuators according to the "two relay" scheme;
  • shock sensor;
  • Power terminal block, used only in the autostart circuit;
  • Siren module;
  • Radio module with two-way communication;
  • Thermistor;
  • Light-emitting diode;
  • Pushbutton switch Valet;
  • Manual, the text of which repeats the contents of the files that can be downloaded.

The photo shows the packaging in which the set is placed.

Branded packaging

The thermistor looks like an "ear" attached to the casing. Connectors for connecting all modules are located on the main unit.

Analyzing the reviews, you can understand that the owners themselves are not always satisfied with the quality of the connectors. There are also cases when the firmware "flew". You can't download her image, though.

Security features of the SLK-868RS system

Using a security complex endowed with feedback, you can control the engine temperature, battery charge, etc. Pantera alarms, including the SLK-868 model, also belong to such systems. But with its help, the owner will only know internal combustion engine temperature. On the other hand, many options in it are activated remotely, and it will be possible to put the car on guard even in the absence of key fobs. Autostart control, including extending engine operation, can also be carried out at a distance.

Main unit SLK-868RS

At a great distance from the car, the key fob can only receive messages, but not give commands. In such cases, the remote control buttons cannot be pressed many times (more than 50), otherwise synchronization is lost. This property typical for systems that use dynamic code instead of dialog. To correct the error, press the "Close" or "Open" key twice, being at a short distance from the car. Note that the advice is only suitable for Pantera alarms.

There is one important circumstance. Stable feedback, that is, the ability to receive messages, the remote control will have even in the absence of synchronization. There's not much to worry about here.

Lyrical digression

It was said above that for Pantera alarms of the model in question, you can download everything except firmware. In fact, the firmware image is stored in the EEPROM memory, and the user parameters are written in its last bytes. Errors may occur at the time of recording, and then the values are stored incorrectly. Individual firms undertake to solve the problem.

Restoring the firmware image

In theory, no manufacturer will allow you to download the microcode for alarms. And only “hackers” offer to download the key fob firmware. In it, by the way, are the values of the "keys". A new key fob can be registered in the signaling unit, while the “keys” are transmitted to it via the radio channel. Inside the key fob, they are written by the manufacturer and are secret.

SLK-868RS Alarm Wiring Diagrams

If you do not need to equip the motor with autostart, connect only the main connector (16 PIN). Its "red" (PIN 2), as well as the "red-white" cord is powered. In general, you need to implement the scheme:

How to connect power

The purpose of other wires is described further.

Low current signaling connectors

Unsoldering the main terminal block

The "green-black" cord is connected to the hood limit switch, but a thermistor can be connected in parallel. And through the “purple-yellow” wire, the system determines whether there is “12 Volt” on the starter. Connect the cord to terminal "50" of the lock.

The purpose of some wires will have to be programmed. For Pantera signaling, the instruction is suitable:

  1. If the "purple-white" cord is connected to the tachometer, then the function "9" is assigned the value "2" (default is "3");
  2. For the "yellow-black" wire to control the crawler, options "13" are set to "2";
  3. The purpose of the "brown-white" cord is set by option "12". For a car with a manual gearbox, set the value to "2" (first set to "1").

Suppose a mic on a “brown-white” cable is endowed with a connection to “ground”, that is, a reverse (negative) polarity signal is used. Then, be sure to follow point "3". The manual also provides explanatory diagrams.

How to connect low current circuits

The "brown" cord can be connected to the actuator's mic (option "2-2"). Then this cable should not have a connection with the door mics. A short to ground will cause the central lock to unlock.

CZ connector pinout

Connecting the power connector

To implement an autostart circuit, connect a 6-pin "power" terminal block:

Connector 6 pins, connection

There is no “+12 Volts” on the IGN2 contact when starting the starter. If the lock has an IGN3 contact that switches the reverse polarity voltage, a relay is connected. But reading the reviews, you can understand that such an option is undesirable.

The signaling has a connection with the contact "50" thanks to a low-current cord. And the current to the starter is supplied through the "purple" wire. You can mount in the reverse order, restoring the break circuit. Then you get a system without autorun.

We program the signaling ourselves

A list of all options and values can be found in the installer's manual:

The table was compiled by the equipment manufacturer Pantera, and it is suitable for one model - SLK-868RS. You can download the image and scale it. The font is readable.

The control mode is turned on when the car is disarmed:

  1. The key is moved along the ON-ACC-ON marks;
  2. They press Valet, the key is transferred to ACC, to ON, they press Valet again;
  3. Press Valet three times;
  4. After the signal - the key on the ACC;
  5. After a long signal - to ON;
  6. Hold Valet for 3 seconds;
  7. Pressing the Valet button selects the option number.

It makes no difference whether a remote control is used with feedback or an additional one. Value 1 is set by the "Close" key, value 2 - "Open". And 3 and 4 - double and triple click "Open".

If you need a system with auto start and this option will really be used, connect a tachometer to the signaling. Reading the reviews, you will realize that other options are unreliable.

What the car owner should know before starting work on installing an alarm

As a rule, the Pantera alarm connection diagram is included with the device. Some car owners are anxious about it, however, in fact, everything is quite simple. If you want high quality and reliable installation this device on your vehicle, be extremely careful and do everything according to the requirements.

If you are installing a Pantera car alarm on a manual transmission vehicle and the model you have selected is a remote start device, you must install a magnetic switch. Otherwise, you may well have problems with the remote alarm start option.

You need to know which interlocks are used in your car and what color wire you need to connect to interact with car alarm options. You also need to know how to wire the relay for the vehicle door lock option.

Panther alarm installation, step-by-step progress

The siren must be installed in the engine compartment in an inaccessible place. Make sure it is located away from moving or combustible parts of the motor.

Mount the switch contacts in the hood and trunk. It is necessary to choose a grounded place in which water cannot affect their performance. Switches must be installed in such a way that they do not interfere with opening or closing the hood.

The LED should be installed on the instrument panel or in the line of sight to provide a deterrent. The light must be perfectly visible from the outside of the vehicle and from the driver's seat. The antenna must be installed under the instrument panel line belt for better reception.

Mount the control switch and manual switch in an accessible place. This place can be the glove compartment or the lower section of the panel.

Mount the relay in the place where the ignition switch solenoid wire starts. It must be secured with a cable around the relay wires.

Test the performance of all functions using the supplied instructions.

Keychain Panther, if the keychain is broken or lost, how to connect a new keychain to the alarm, step by step instructions

If any part of the system is broken, you can hold an event such as flashing a Pantera car alarm. In other words, it is necessary to replace the broken element with a new one by connecting it to the system. You can do it yourself.

If you broke or lost the key fob, buy a new one and connect it to the car alarm, for which open the old key fob and see what type is included with the device. There are two types of keychains:

  1. The signal transmission frequency is 308 MHz.
  2. The signal transmission frequency is 434 MHz.

You can open the key fob with a screwdriver, inside of which you will find a crystal oscillator. On it you will see the number of the signal transmission frequency.

When the necessary kit is purchased, proceed to the firmware of the car alarm. Under the steering wheel of the vehicle, you will see the clutch pedal, the hood opening lever and the safety unit located there.

To install a new key fob, you need to find the switch, which is located in the front section of the safety block. Put it in the "Install" position. Next, press any button on one key fob, then on the second. Then change the position of the switch to the "Off" position. The Panther alarm firmware will enable the new key fob to connect to the system.

The Pantera car alarm is presented on the market with a mass of different types that can satisfy the security requirements of even the most capricious car owners. Some of them are quite simple devices that can only emit an alarm sound during unauthorized opening of the trunk or doors.

More complex options are characterized by a unique warning signal that is easy to identify in case of danger. Through several sensors that are connected to the central computer, the car alarm is triggered by stimuli, such as the sound of breaking glass or suspicious activity that occurs in the immediate vicinity.

Buying a new vehicle is a big investment, so it makes sense to think about its safety. The mass of options for Panther car alarm models provides great opportunities both for your budget and for personal preferences.

ARMING WITH A RADIO KEY FOB

Switch off the ignition, exit the vehicle and close all doors, hood and trunk. Press and release transmitter button 1 (upper large button).
    Red led indicator(LED) will flash slowly. The marker lights will flash once. The siren will give 1 signal.

SILENT ARMING

Switch off the ignition, exit the vehicle and close all doors, hood and trunk. Press and release transmitter button 2 (small bottom button).
    The red LED will start flashing slowly. The marker lights will flash once.

Note: If the siren beeps 3 times when arming, it means that the hood, trunk or doors are not closed or one of these circuits is faulty. The LED will then flash 2 or 3 times with a pause for 30 seconds, indicating a faulty and bypassed circuit. As soon as this circuit will work normally again, the system will automatically include it in the protection circuit.

    The doors will be locked (if electric locks are installed). If an additional relay is installed, the system will also block the engine.

ARMING WITH SHOCK DISABLED

Switch off the ignition, exit the vehicle and close all doors, hood and trunk. Press and release button 1 of the transmitter to arm the system (the siren will beep once) and then press button 1 and button 2 simultaneously within 5 seconds.
    The red LED will start flashing slowly. The marker lights will flash once. The siren will give another 1 long beep. The doors will be locked (if electric locks are installed). If an additional relay is installed, the system will also block the engine.
The system will arm, but the shock sensor will be disabled until the next arming. All other security circuits (doors, hood and trunk) will work as usual.

AUTOMATIC (PASSIVE) ARMING

ATTENTION: This feature is programmable and can be disabled at the request of the owner. You can also program the system so that when it is automatically armed, the system will also lock the vehicle doors.

Switch off the ignition, exit the vehicle and close all doors, hood and trunk.

    As soon as the last door is closed, the red LED will flash rapidly to indicate that the 30 second countdown has begun before auto-arming.
Opening any door, hood or trunk during the 30 second pre-arming countdown will immediately stop the countdown and the LED will turn off. As soon as all doors, hood and trunk are closed again, the 30 second countdown will start again and the LED will flash rapidly again. At the end of the 30 second countdown, the following will happen:
    The red LED will flash slowly. The marker lights will flash once. The siren will give 1 signal.

Note: If the siren does not sound when armed, it means that they have been turned off. See "System Programmable Features" in the installation instructions.

    If programmable function # 1 is also enabled, the car doors will be locked (if electric locks are installed). If an additional relay is installed, the system will also block the engine.

Note: Enabling the auto-arming feature also enables the auto-rearming feature 30 seconds after the system is disarmed

IMMOBILIZER MODE

In the event that you do not want to use the automatic arming function after turning off the ignition and closing all doors, you can use the programmable immobilizer mode (function # 5). In this case, 60 seconds after the ignition is turned off, the system will only automatically turn on the engine block, and will not be further triggered by opening the doors, hood or trunk, or from the shock sensor.

You can also use this programmable function in addition to the automatic arming function, but in this case, the immobilizer mode will be activated only when the automatic arming function cannot be started for one reason or another (for example, if one of the doors is left open).

Turn off the ignition and get out of the car. 60 seconds after turning off the ignition:

    The red LED will flash slowly. AND The engine lock will turn on (installation of an additional relay is required)
If the ignition was turned on when the immobilizer mode was on:
    The siren will give warning signals for 10 seconds and then turn on the alarm mode. If the ignition is turned off again, the siren will turn off and the system will switch back to the immobilizer mode (the engine will remain blocked). If the ignition is left on, the siren will continue to sound for 6 cycles of 30 seconds and then turn off, but the engine will remain blocked.
To disable immobilizer mode:
    Press button 1 on the transmitter to arm the system (the siren will sound once, the parking lights will flash once, etc.). Press button 1 of the transmitter to disarm the system (the siren will sound 2 times, the parking lights will flash 2 times, etc.) In case the transmitter is lost or does not function, you can also disable the immobilizer mode using the Valet pushbutton switch.

CAR PROTECTION WHEN ARMED

    When the outer zone of the shock sensor is triggered (caused by a slight push or hit on the glass or car body), the warning mode will turn on and the siren will give 5 short beeps. Any strong impact or impact on the glass or body of the vehicle will immediately trigger a full 30 second alarm cycle. Opening any door, hood or trunk will immediately sound the siren. The siren will sound for 30 seconds, then turn off and the system will re-arm. If the hijacker left the door, hood or trunk open, the siren will sound for 6 cycles of 30 seconds (if you do not disable the alarm mode using the transmitter earlier) and then arm, bypassing only the circuit that caused the alarm. When the security is activated, the parking lights will flash for 30 seconds, drawing visual attention to the car. If a given function connected - when the alarm is triggered, the interior lighting will flash for the entire 30-second alarm mode cycle. The red LED flashes slowly when armed. This is a visual warning to a potential hijacker. The current consumed by the LED indicator is very small and practically does not drain the battery even over a long period of time.

DYNAMIC ALARM OFF

    If the system has been triggered and the alarm mode is activated, by pressing and releasing button 1 of the transmitter, you will only turn off the alarm mode (the siren will turn off and the parking lights and interior lighting will stop flashing). The system will remain in armed mode. To disarm the system, press and release transmitter button 1 again.

DISARMING THE SYSTEM

Press and release transmitter button 1 while approaching the vehicle.
    Red LED turns off Side lights flash 2 times. The siren will give 2 beeps.

Note: If the siren does not sound when the system is disarmed, it means that they have been turned off. See "System Programmable Features" in the installation instructions.

AUTO REARMING

If the auto-arming feature (feature #2) is enabled, after disarming the system using the transmitter:
    The LED will flash rapidly to indicate the start of the 30 second countdown before auto-rearming. Opening any of the doors, hood or trunk will pause the countdown. As soon as all the hood or trunk doors are opened again, the 30-second countdown will start again. The auto-rearm feature will only be canceled by turning the ignition on.
If the ignition is not turned on, then 30 seconds after the system is disarmed (or 30 seconds after the interior lighting is turned off, if this function is enabled), the system will re-arm and:
    The red LED indicator (LED) will flash slowly. The marker lights will flash once. The siren will give 1 signal. The doors will be locked (if electric locks are installed). If an additional relay is installed, the system will also block the engine.

SILENT DISARMING

Press and release transmitter button 2 while approaching the vehicle.
    The red LED will turn off

Note: If the auto-arm feature is enabled, the LED will flash rapidly to indicate the start of the 30 second countdown before auto-rearm (see above)

    The marker lights will flash 2 times. The siren will not sound.

Note: If the siren sounds 4 times and the side lights flash 3 times when the system is disarmed, it means that the system was armed while you were away. Before turning on the ignition, determine the zone or trigger that caused the system to operate by the blinking LED (see the Intrusion Warning Signals section below).

    The doors will be unlocked (if electric locks are installed). If additional relays are installed:
      the engine will be unlocked, the "polite interior lighting" will turn on for 30 seconds (or until the ignition is turned on)

INTRUSION WARNING SIGNALS

The system will inform you if there were attempts to break into the car during your absence. If the system worked, then when disarming, the siren will give 4 signals, and the parking lights will flash 3 times. In this case, the LED will flash a certain number of times after a pause until the ignition is turned on, indicating the specific zone or trigger that caused the system to work:

If the LED flashes 1 time after a pause, etc., then the operation was caused by a shock sensor or an additional sensor connected to this system connector (ZONE 1). If the LED flashes 2 times after a pause, etc., then the operation was caused by an attempt to open the hood or trunk (ZONE 2). If the LED flashes 3 times with a pause, then the trip was caused by an attempt to open the car door (ZONE 3).

Information about system operation is erased when the ignition is switched on.

AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKING WHEN IGNITION ON / AUTOMATIC DOOR UNLOCKING WHEN IGNITION OFF

If these programmable features (features #3 and #4) are enabled:

    the system will automatically lock the car doors 4 seconds after the ignition is turned on, if at that moment all the car doors are closed; the system will automatically unlock the car doors immediately after the ignition is turned off.

VALET SWITCH

Button Valet switch will allow you to temporarily disable all security functions system, if, for example, you need to leave the car at the station Maintenance. At the same time, the possibility of remote control of the "Panic" mode and door locks remains. To enable Valet service mode:

Get into the car and turn on the ignition (the system must be disarmed). Press and release the Valet push button switch. The LED will turn solid to indicate that the system is in Valet mode. To return to normal mode, press and release the Valet push button switch once with the ignition on. The LED will turn off.

The Valet switch can also be used to disarm if you have lost the transmitter or if it has malfunctioned. In this case:

Open the door with the key. The system will work, the siren will turn on, the parking lights and interior lighting will start flashing. Turn on the ignition. Within 15 seconds, press and release the Valet push button switch. The alarm will turn off, the engine will be unlocked and the system LED will turn off.

Note: Don't forget to turn off Valet mode when you no longer need it. This guarantees the constant protection of the car.

REMOTE PANIC MODE

Button 1 of the transmitter also serves to remotely activate the "Panic" mode. To enable this mode:

Press the arm/disarm button for 3 seconds. or more. The siren will turn on for 30 seconds, side lights and interior lighting will start flashing (if this function is enabled). After the end of the 30-second "Panic" mode, the system will switch to armed mode again (the siren will give one signal, the marker lights will flash once). To turn off the "Panic" mode before the end of the 30-second cycle, press button 1 again for 3 seconds. or more. Panic mode will turn off and the system will disarm. If the auto-arming function is enabled, then 30 seconds after the panic mode is disabled, the system will arm itself.

REMOTE ANTI-HIJACK

This system allows you to turn on the Anti-HiJack (anti-robbery function) using the transmitter, if the corresponding programmable function of the system (feature # 8) is turned on.

Remote activation of the Anti-HiJack mode using the transmitter is carried out by simultaneously pressing and holding button 1 and button 2 of the system transmitter for 3 seconds with the ignition on. After that, the Anti-HiJack mode will work as follows:

Stage 1: 50 seconds*** after turning on the Anti-HiJack function, the siren will sound for 10 seconds.

Stage 2: 60 seconds after the Anti-HiJack function is activated, the siren will sound, the side lights will flash, and the interior lighting of the car (if this function is enabled).

Note: Please note that the Anti-HiJack timer in steps 1 and 2 only occurs when the ignition is on. If at any time before the start of stage 3 the ignition was turned off (the system can even be armed), the timing of the corresponding stage will pause, but will immediately resume as soon as the ignition is turned back on.

Stage 3: 30 seconds after the siren is turned on (i.e. 90 seconds after the Anti-HiJack function is activated), the engine lock will also turn on (if this function is enabled). The siren, side lights and interior lights (if enabled) will continue to operate regardless of the ignition key position and the engine will remain disabled until the vehicle battery is completely discharged.

Thus, this algorithm allows you to enable the Anti-HiJack mode in advance, for example, immediately before parking the car. After that, you can turn off the ignition and arm the system. In this case, if you are attacked and your car keys and key fob transmitter of the system are taken away from you, the Anti-HiJack mode timer will begin immediately after the system is disarmed and the ignition is turned on.

Disabling Anti-HiJack Mode

Once the Anti-HiJack mode has been enabled, it can no longer be disabled with the transmitter, although you can still arm the system with the transmitter when the ignition is off.

Disabling the Anti-HiJack mode before the start of stage 2 (i.e. before the siren is turned on, parking lights and interior lighting) is performed by pressing the Valet button once with the ignition on. To disable the Anti-HiJack mode from the moment the siren, side lights and interior lighting are turned on, turn off and turn on the ignition again, and press the Valet button switch within 5 seconds.

REMOTE CONTROL OF AUXILIARY DEVICES (ADDITIONAL CHANNEL OUTPUT)

This system has an additional radio-controlled channel that allows you to control various additional devices. The most common ones are:

    Electric Trunk Lock Remote Engine Start Module Power Window Control Module

To activate an additional channel of the system, press and hold button 2 of the radio transmitter for 3 seconds:

    when the protection is disarmed and the ignition is off when the ignition is on, if one of the doors is open at the same time

Note: If the auxiliary channel output was turned on while the system is armed, the system will simultaneously disable the shock sensor and the hood / trunk trigger for a while so that opening the trunk does not trigger the system. After the trunk is closed, the system will automatically arm this circuit again.

TRANSMITTER BUTTON FUNCTIONS

The transmitters included with the system are programmed at the factory as follows:

PROGRAMMING OPTIONAL TRANSMITTERS

Up to 4 transmitters can be programmed into the system memory. If you try to program the 5th transmitter, the code of the first transmitter will be "wiped out" from the system's memory, if you try to program the 6th transmitter, the code of the second transmitter will be "wiped" out of the system's memory, etc.

To prevent unauthorized programming of additional transmitter codes, it is recommended (when using 2 transmitters) to program each transmitter 2 times, or one transmitter 3 times, and the other 1 time.

Attention: Remember that each operation must be completed within 15 seconds of the previous operation. If the 15 second interval is exceeded, the system will automatically exit the programming mode, which will be confirmed by one short and one long siren beep.

If the ignition was turned on during programming, the system will also immediately exit the programming mode and you will hear one short and one long siren chirps.

Disarm the system, get into the car and turn on the ignition. Press the Valet button 3 times. You will hear 1 siren tone and the LED will turn solid and then flash to confirm that the system is ready to program a new transmitter. You can choose to control Channel 1 of the system (arming and disarming the system, activating the Panic mode and remote control door locks): any of the transmitter buttons (button 1 or button 2). Press and hold the transmitter button of your choice until you hear a long siren tone confirming that Channel 1 programming has been completed. The LED will then stop flashing and remain lit. The rest of the transmitter buttons will be programmed automatically. So, for example, if you have programmed button 2 of the transmitter to arm/disarm the system, enable the "Panic" mode, etc., then button 1 of the transmitter will be automatically programmed to silently arm/disarm the system, control the output of an additional system channel etc. In any case, remote activation of the Anti-HiJack mode will be carried out by simultaneously pressing button 1 and button 2 of the transmitter with the ignition on. To exit programming mode:

    turn on the ignition, press the Valet button again, wait 15 seconds without doing anything.

You will hear one short and one long siren tone to confirm that the system has exited programming mode.

SYNCHRONIZATION OF TRANSMITTERS

Since the system transmitters use a constantly changing (dynamic) code, in certain, albeit rather rare situations (for example, when pressing the key fob buttons more than 50 times away from the car), desynchronization of the key fob codes and the security system may occur. In this case - go to the car and quickly press the transmitter button twice. Synchronization will be restored and the key fob will again be able to control the system.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

A small red LED is installed in the transmitter housing, which confirms the pressing of the transmitter buttons and also indicates the battery status. As the battery discharges, you may notice a decrease in the range of the transmitter and, accordingly, a weakening of the LED.

To replace the battery:

Open the cover by unscrewing the small screw reverse side transmitter housing. Remove the dead battery, remember the polarity of its installation and dispose of it properly. Install a new battery (type GP23A), make sure the polarity is correct. Install the cover carefully without damaging the LED or switches on the circuit board.

Advantages and disadvantages

What are the advantages of the complex:

  1. Large selection of different systems. Consumers are offered a choice different types alarms with different set options. If you have a limited budget, you can choose a model that can afford, which will have no less effective functions.
  2. Management of almost all functions, including setting the security mode and remote start of the internal combustion engine, is possible using a pager.
  3. Stable impulse transmission channel. Thanks to modern technologies encryption channels are securely protected from data interception.

In accordance with the reviews, we highlight the following shortcomings:

  1. Despite the fact that the signaling practically does not discharge the battery, the battery in the pager runs out quickly enough. Reviews show that car owners have to change it on average once every three months.
  2. Many Panther systems use dynamic code to transmit signals. Today it is outdated and not as effective as the interactive one.

User Ilya Voitov showed how the Panther 625 complex works on the VAZ 2109.

How to install?

Installation of a security complex is possible in garage conditions.

The action algorithm is as follows:

  1. Open the hood of the car, the ignition must be off. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery by first loosening the clamp with a wrench.
  2. The first step is the installation central block management. The device is the "brain" of the security complex, with its help all functions are performed. System installers often place devices under the center console, near the driver's feet, next to the hood release lever. This place is not safe, because attackers check it first when hacking. It is not safe to install the unit under the driver's seat. It is better to mount the device in a free space behind the dashboard or glove box. To do this, dismantle the steering column trim and part of the center console. Fix the device in place of landing with self-tapping screws. dashboard dismantle carefully so as not to damage its constituent elements. Disconnect all connectors with wires from the device.
  3. Choose a location to install the siren under the hood. It is recommended to mount the device so that it cannot be found by an intruder. When choosing a location, remember that exposure to high temperatures from the engine can disable the siren, so place it away from the cylinder block. Fix the device so that it does not vibrate while driving.
  4. Perform the installation of the transceiver, this element must be placed in the passenger compartment as high as possible. This arrangement will ensure high-quality signal reception and transmission. Usually the antenna is placed on windshield, but the presence of metal objects near the device will cause signal interference. Therefore, metal should not be within a radius of 4-5 centimeters from the adapter.
  5. If the security complex has the function of autostart by temperature, then the package will include a temperature sensor. The controller should be installed under the hood of the car. The device crashes into the cooling system line, and its wires are brought out. The sensor must be securely fixed in the pipe so that it is not washed away by the coolant. It is recommended to install the device away from the collector, because high temperatures it will be destroyed.
  6. If there is a blocking relay in the kit, the device is placed in the area of \u200b\u200bthe ignition switch and is connected to its power circuit.
  7. The sensitivity controller is mounted on the car body. In order for the sensor to respond to any impact on the body, it is recommended to install it in the central part. A good option for installation would be a partition separating the passenger compartment and the engine compartment. The sensor is screwed to the car body with self-tapping screws. between device and metal surface there should be no plastic or rubber linings. Plastic increases vibration, while rubber reduces it, so the controller may not work correctly.
  8. Limit switches must be installed on the hood, tailgate, and all doors. The package includes only one limit switch, so the rest of the devices will have to be purchased. To mount the part on the doors and trunk, it is necessary to dismantle the lining. Devices are securely fixed in the seats.
  9. At the last stage, it is necessary to connect all the components of the security complex with the control unit and battery. For connection, use the diagram that is included in the manual.

1. Installation of the central unit 2. Fixing the siren under the hood 3. Antenna adapter on glass 4. Sensitivity controller

Why is the alarm not working and how to fix it?

Failures in the operation of the complex can occur for the following reasons:

  1. The battery in the pager is dead. The problem is solved by replacing the dead battery with a new one.
  2. The key fob fell into the water and no longer transmits signals. Try drying your pager by putting it in a warm place, near a radiator or stove, but not in close proximity to them. If it does not help, disassemble the remote control and leave it in this state for a day. If the problem persists, the device will need to be repaired or replaced with a new one.
  3. Not all doors close. The reason should be sought in damage to the wiring. Diagnosis of electrical circuits is carried out using a multimeter. If you do not know how to check the wiring, contact an electrician.
  4. Antenna adapter connection wire is damaged. If the transceiver is not working, the transmission of pulses will be impossible. Diagnostics of electrical circuits is performed. Damaged wires are replaced with new ones or repaired, depending on the nature of the damage.
  5. The contacts on the control unit are oxidized. Such a problem may occur as a result of exposure to moisture on the device. It will be necessary to dismantle the module and clean the contacts from contamination and oxidation. Check the connectors themselves, oxidation may be on them.
  6. The control unit has failed. At home, it is difficult to solve such a problem. Detailed diagnostics of the device will be required. You can try to solve the problem by flashing the module. If water gets on it, you can try to dry the device.
  7. The siren goes off for no reason. You need to check the sensitivity sensor. The reason is usually due to improper adjustment of the controller. Adjusting the sensor will solve the problem.
