Roofing film material used under any roofing, preventing the formation of condensate under the roof and on its inner part.

Roofing anti-condensation film

AT modern construction Roofing anti-condensate film is increasingly being used, which reliably protects the roof from sudden temperature changes. This material prevents damage to the roof, and also contributes to its insulation and protects the room from blowing.

The manufacture of a roofing anti-condensate film in accordance with GOST is very important, because the reliability of housing will depend on its quality.

A roof with an anti-condensation film under it has a higher wear resistance than one without it.

Underroofing anti-condensate waterproofing film

Roofing is an important component of construction, because how well it is made, the more stable the finishing plan of the object.

The production of anti-condensate waterproofing under-roofing film takes place only on modern equipment using innovative technologies. Using it during the construction of the house, you can be 100% sure that moisture will not seep under the roof of your house, and its insulation will be carried out on highest level. Using such construction material as a waterproofing polypropylene material, facade view your object will always look great.

Underroofing film anti-condensation characteristic

Today you can buy roofing material in virtually any hardware store where a specialist working in it will help you with its choice. The price of such a film coating directly depends on the density, size, thickness, tear strength and a number of other characteristics of the anti-condensate roofing film, which should be taken into account based on your capabilities and needs. The stronger and thicker the material you bought is, the more reliable the wind protection, resistance to moisture and temperature changes of the roof will be, which will bring you complete satisfaction from the construction work carried out.

Roofing anti-condensation film technical characteristics

Moscow is famous wide choice anti-condensation film roofing products, often used in construction as roof insulation. After all, such a product is famous for its ability to ensure the wear resistance of the roof, depending on its density and quality, as well as to prevent premature destruction of the roof.

The technical characteristics of the anti-condensation roof underlay film should include diffusion thickness, rupture strength when struck by a hammer, thickness and vapor barrier effect. But it should be remembered that each manufacturer indicates the characteristics in their own way.

Underroofing anti-condensate waterproofing film characteristics

waterproofing polyethylene material not only good insulation, but also provides the roof with durability, due to the fact that it does not allow moisture to pass through and protects the roof from wind blowing. When characterizing a waterproofing anti-condensate roofing film, special attention should be paid to its thickness and tear strength, because the sound insulation of the room, as well as its windproof effect, will depend on these parameters. If a person is poorly versed in films, then professional advice in this matter can help him.

2.4 . Films can be operated at temperatures up to minus 40 °C outside air.

2.5 . To connect the films to each other, a double-sided self-adhesive connecting tape Yutafol SP 1 is used.

2.6 . To seal the junctions of vapor barrier films to vertical structures, a one-sided self-adhesive tape Yutafol TP 15 is used.

3. PREPARATORY WORK

3.1 . The basis for vapor barrier films are concrete, reinforced concrete, cement-sand or asphalt concrete screed, wooden crate, profiled steel sheets.

3.2 . Roofing waterproofing films are laid on a wooden crate, insulation or based on roof structures.

3.3 . The grades of the applied films are checked for compliance with the project; the quality of the films - the necessary mechanisms, tools and inventory are prepared for compliance with the standards.

3.4 . The laying of lining films is started after the preparation and signing of the act for hidden work.

3.5 . The base and the junction of vapor barrier films to vertical surfaces are cleaned of debris, dried, and dust-free. In concrete, reinforced concrete, cement-sand and asphalt concrete bases seams and cracks are sealed.

4. TECHNOLOGY OF FILM LAYING

4.1. TECHNOLOGY OF INSTALLATION OF VAPOR INSULATION FILMS

4.1.1 . Vapor barrier films are laid face up, along long side buildings, from the central axis to the walls.

4.1.2 . The amount of overlap along the roll is indicated on the films by a dotted line. In the absence of a line, the overlap is assumed to be 100 - 120 mm. The amount of overlap across the roll is 140 - 160 mm.

4.1.3 . On all vertical surfaces, the films are wound up to the design height of the insulation.

4.1.4 . The films are connected to each other with Yutafol SP 1 tape. In the places where the films adjoin vertical surfaces, the joint between the film and the base is sealed with Yutafol TP 15 tape.

4.1.5 . Work on laying vapor barrier films is carried out in the following sequence:

The first canvas is laid in the design position along the central axis;

Near walls or protruding structures, an overlap is measured - to the height of the insulation. The film is temporarily attached to vertical surfaces with Yutafol TP 15 tape (2-3 pieces 20-25 mm long).

The upper web in the transverse joint (if any) is turned away; tape Yutafol SP 1 is glued on the bottom sheet; remove the protective layer from the top side of the tape andthe top sheet is applied again, after which the joint is rolled with a manual roller;

At a distance of 50 - 60 mm from the edge of the roll, the Yutafol SP 1 tape is glued. The protective layer from the upper side of the tape is not removed;

The second canvas is laid with a design overlap. The ends of the roll are wound onto vertical surfaces and temporarily fixed;

The edge of the second web is lifted and the protective layer is removed from the upper side of the Yutafol SP 1 tape, which lies along the roll on the lower web. From above, the joint is rolled with a manual roller.

The operations are repeated until the films are laid on the entire surface of the base.

4.1.6 . After the completion of the laying of the films, the joints to the vertical surfaces are sealed. The edge of the film is marked with chalk. The temporary fastening is removed from pieces of Yutafol TP 15 and the film is folded down. Tape Yutafol TP 15 is glued to the wall 15 - 20 mm below the chalk mark. Between themselves, the tape is joined end-to-end. A film is applied to the tape and fixed with a rail.

4.2. TECHNOLOGY OF LAYING UNDER-ROOF WATERPROOFING FILMS

4.2.1 . Roofing waterproofing films are laid face up (for films Yutafol D Silver and Yutavek - the dark side; for Yutafol DBT Standard - the polyethylene side; for Yutacon - the smooth side; for Yutafol D Standard and Special with a bright colored strip), across the roof slope, starting from eaves (lower point of the slope).

4.2.2 . The amount of overlap along the roll is taken depending on the slope of the roof: up to 21° - 190 - 210 mm; from 22° to 30° - 140 - 160 mm; more than 31° - 90 - 110 mm. The amount of overlap across the roll is 90 - 110 mm.

4.2.3 . When laying films on truss structures, the panels are laid with a deflection of 15 - 20 mm. In these cases, the film Yutafol D Standard is used; Yutafol D Special; Yutafol D Silver or Yutacon.

4.2.4 . When laying films on a wooden crate, Yutafol DTB Standard is used; for insulation - Yutavek.

4.2.5 . In places of passage through the films of ventilation shafts and technological pipelines, an additional layer is laid from above along the slope with the introduction of material on the slope by 300 mm, onto a vertical surface by 100 mm and fixed there with Yutafol SP 1 tape.

4.2.6 . Underlayment workwaterproofing films on roof structures are performed in the following sequence:

The measured sheet of film is installed on the first rafter and the lower end is fixed;

The canvas is unwound along the entire length and is laid parallel to the cornice;

The edge of the film on the first rafter is fixed along the entire length;

Between the first and second rafters, a template rail is applied over the film to create a deflection, and the film is fixed on the second rafter;

The operations are repeated until the film is fixed along the entire length;

The next canvas is installed on the first rafter and the lower end is fixed;

The canvas is unwound along its entire length and is laid parallel to the edge of the first canvas with a given overlap;

The deflections of the film between the rafters are carried out along the first canvas, and the film is fixed on all rafters;

The film laying operations are repeated until the entire roof surface is covered.

4.2.7 . In the ridge area, the film is laid in such a way that the design gap remains between the edges of the film panels coming from different slopes.

4.2.8 . After laying the film, the counter rails and rails provided for by the project are installed and the main waterproofing carpet is laid.

5. QUALITY CONTROL

5.1 . The quality control of the used lining films is assigned to the construction laboratory, the production of works - to the foreman or foreman.

Vapor barrier film UTAFOL N and UTAFOL N AL are multilayer polypropylene films, reinforced with reinforcing mesh, the film marked AL has a reflective aluminum layer. The optimal price determines a wide range of types and options of the above films for use in various designs oblique and flat roofs, as well as in wall and floor structures.

Main specifications and the degree of impermeability of materials can be found in the relevant tables. Characteristic features of these products are - UV-stabilization, resistance to chemical and biological effects.

Quality assurance

UTA JSC pays great attention to technical improvement and quality control roofing films, membranes, vapor barrier films. Films and membranes are manufactured in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality management system. Quality is controlled in our own laboratory, as well as in independent domestic and foreign testing centers.

Application:

Protective roofing layer of corrugated roofing, large profiled roofing in inclined roof structures- Protective layer in roofing, wall, floor structures. Protective under-roof waterproofing layer in two- and three-frame sloping roof structures - Vapor-tight protection in sloped and flat roof structures (roof waterproofing, roof waterproofing) - Vapor-tight protection in wall and floor structures - Reflective vapor-tight protection

Main functions

Using correct design structure and the combination of an under roof waterproofing layer, a vapor barrier and a suitable thermal insulation layer, can be provided on long time optimal properties roofing and wall structures. This applies mainly to the required parameters of the diffusion balance, conservation thermal resistance structures, ensuring the watertightness of the structure. At correct application Roofing foils, due to their properties, ensure the waterproofness of the structure - just like during installation roofing, and as a waterproofing layer during the entire life of the roofing. The materials also ensure the release of water vapor into the outer space of the object. Thus, the melted snow, blown by the wind, rainwater or condensate will not disappear from the roof for inner material designs. At correct installation thanks to vapor-tight films, there is no moistening of the heat-insulating layers, which would lead to a significant increase in thermal conductivity. Therefore, the materials ensure a long service life of thermal insulation and prevent the occurrence of condensation in roof and wall structures, since water vapor does not penetrate into the dew point area in the thermal insulation space. In addition, the structure is air-tight and heat leakage is prevented. For connecting vapor barrier films, connectors are supplied. self-adhesive tapes UTAFOL SP 1 and UTAFOL SP AL.

Material Handling and Transport

Transportation is carried out in clean vehicles. Despite the fact that each film and membrane is packed in polyethylene to avoid contamination, care must be taken during loading and other types of work so that mechanical damage and rupture of the film or membrane does not occur. Products are stored in a room where UV radiation does not reach. The materials can be used in structures where the temperature range in the area where the material is placed is from -40oC to +80oC. It is recommended to connect vapor-tight and underlaying films, membranes with tape at a temperature above +5oC.

Purpose:

Roofing anti-condensation film UTACON is a material to protect against the penetration of moisture from the outside (rain and snow) into internal structure object, as well as from soot and dust in ventilated systems sloping roofs. At the same time, it prevents the condensed water vapor from running off onto the applied thermal insulation due to the use of a moisture-absorbing non-woven material (viscose).

Specification:

Film UTACON is a four-layer polypropylene UV-stabilized fabric laminated on both sides, with a special moisture-absorbing material attached to one side. nonwoven fabric. At the same time, the upper and lower layer of the laminate provides waterproofing properties and vapor permeability of the material. Polypropylene fabric provides high strength, and a moisture-absorbing non-woven material located on the underside of the film absorbs water vapor and prevents condensation of droplet moisture from water vapor rising from the internal volumes of the object. Thanks to high-quality raw materials, the film has a high durability, no less than the durability of roofing materials. UTACON has dimensions of 1.3x50 m. The film is not subject to rotting, mold and pests. Products are certified.

Mounting:

  • Film UTACON it is fixed directly on the plane of rafters, logs or other building elements of the roof in such a way that the distance between them when attaching the film does not exceed 1.2 m.
  • The film must not be laid directly on the formwork, other flooring and allowed to come into contact with thermal insulation.
  • The minimum gap under the film should be 4 cm.
  • Installation begins with the roof edging and continues towards the ridge. It must be reinforced on the supporting structure of the roof with counter rails.
  • There is a black stripe on the edge of the film to indicate the recommended width of the horizontal overlap with the subsequent film web.
  • After installing the film on load-bearing structure its roof should be reinforced with counter-battens. In all cases, the fit of the film in the lower area of the roof and in the area of the ridge must comply with the conditions necessary for the obligatory air flow, and in the area of the ridge a gap of at least 10 cm must be left for ventilation.
  • advantage UTACON is its strength and high UV resistance (12 months), which means that the roof can be left uncovered after filming long time unlike other roofing films.
  • Other installation rules are similar to those for film UTAFOL.
