Quality assurance.

JSC UTA pays great attention to technical improvement and quality control of roofing films, membranes, vapor barrier films. Films and membranes are manufactured in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality management system. Quality is controlled in our own laboratory, as well as in independent domestic and foreign testing centers.

Application:

Protective under-roofing layer of corrugated coating, large profiled coatings in inclined roof structures Protective layer in roofing, wall, floor structures. Protective under-roof waterproofing layer in two- and three-frame sloped roof structures Vapor-tight protection in sloped and flat roof structures (roof waterproofing, roof waterproofing) Vapor-tight protection in wall and floor structures Reflective vapor-tight protection

Main functions.

Using correct design structure and the combination of an under roof waterproofing layer, a vapor barrier and a suitable thermal insulation layer, can be provided on long time optimal properties roofing and wall structures. This applies mainly to the required parameters of the diffusion balance, conservation thermal resistance structures, ensuring the watertightness of the structure. At correct application underlaying films, due to their properties, ensure the waterproofness of the structure - both during the installation of the roofing, and as a waterproofing layer throughout the entire life of the roofing. The materials also ensure the release of water vapor into the outer space of the object. Thus, the melted snow, blown by the wind, rainwater or condensate will not disappear from the roof for inner material designs. At correct installation thanks to vapor-tight films, there is no moistening of the heat-insulating layers, which would lead to a significant increase in thermal conductivity. Therefore, the materials ensure a long service life of thermal insulation and prevent the occurrence of condensation in roof and wall structures, since water vapor does not penetrate into the dew point area in the thermal insulation space. In addition, the structure is air-tight and heat leakage is prevented. For connection of vapor-proof films, connecting self-adhesive tapes YUTAFOL SP 1 and YUTAFOL SP AL are supplied.

Material Handling and Transport

Transportation is carried out in clean vehicles. Despite the fact that each film and membrane is packed in polyethylene to avoid contamination, care must be taken during loading and other types of work so that mechanical damage and rupture of the film or membrane does not occur. Products are stored in a room where UV radiation does not reach. The materials can be used in structures where the temperature range in the material placement area is from -40 o C to +80 o C. It is recommended to connect vapor-tight and roofing films, membranes with a tape at a temperature above +5 o C.

Utacon waterproofing film with double-sided lamination protects the roof structure and creates reliable protection from the penetration of moisture from the outside (snow, rain, hail) and pollution present in the air (dust, soot, other fine particles). The second function of the Yutacon diffusion membrane is to prevent the condensation of condensed moisture in a building or structure.

Roof insulation Yutakon - four-layer. Propylene fabric, being one of the outer linings, absorbs water vapor. Lamination prevents corrosion from exposure to external moisture and is responsible for waterproofing the roof.

Application

The polymer network creates high strength material. Stability to ultraviolet radiation makes it possible to maintain the roof structure covered with Yutacon waterproofing film without damage throughout the year, repair work in full.

Utacon waterproofing film is used for all types of sloping roofs with a vent. Yutakon waterproofing is applied to buildings with roofs covered with metal tiles or galvanized sheet.

When conducting roofing works Roof waterproofing must not be laid directly on the formwork or other flooring to avoid subsequent destruction of the walls and roof when the formwork elements are removed.

Yutacon waterproofing is installed on load-bearing elements roofs. The distance between the rafters is allowed no more than 1.2 m.

Underroofing anti-condensate film Utacon is rolled up in such a way that the coating for draining condensing water vapor can fully perform its functions.

When installing roof waterproofing, it is forbidden to arbitrarily reduce the amount of overlap of the film sheets, as well as allow it to come into contact with thermal insulation.

How to install the Yutacon membrane

The instructions indicate that the waterproofing of the roof with Yutakon film is carried out first along the perimeter of the building, and then continues towards the ridge. Fastening is carried out with counter rails measuring 30 * 50mm. The gap for ventilation of the pitched roof system is 10 cm or more.

4.1. TECHNOLOGY OF INSTALLATION OF VAPOR INSULATION FILMS

4.1.1 . Vapor barrier films are laid face up, along long side buildings, from the central axis to the walls.

4.1.2 . The amount of overlap along the roll is indicated on the films by a dotted line. In the absence of a line, the overlap is assumed to be 100 - 120 mm. The amount of overlap across the roll is 140 - 160 mm.

4.1.3 . On all vertical surfaces, the films are wound up to the design height of the insulation.

4.1.4 . The films are connected to each other with Yutafol SP 1 tape. In the places where the films adjoin vertical surfaces, the joint between the film and the base is sealed with Yutafol TP 15 tape.

4.1.5 . Work on laying vapor barrier films is carried out in the following sequence:

The first canvas is laid in the design position along the central axis;

Near walls or protruding structures, an overlap is measured - to the height of the insulation. The film is temporarily attached to vertical surfaces with Yutafol TP 15 tape (2-3 pieces 20-25 mm long).

The upper web in the transverse joint (if any) is turned away; tape Yutafol SP 1 is glued on the bottom sheet; remove the protective layer from the top side of the tape andthe top sheet is applied again, after which the joint is rolled with a manual roller;

At a distance of 50 - 60 mm from the edge of the roll, the Yutafol SP 1 tape is glued. The protective layer from the upper side of the tape is not removed;

The second canvas is laid with a design overlap. The ends of the roll are wound onto vertical surfaces and temporarily fixed;

The edge of the second web is lifted and the protective layer is removed from the upper side of the Yutafol SP 1 tape, which lies along the roll on the lower web. From above, the joint is rolled with a manual roller.

The operations are repeated until the films are laid on the entire surface of the base.

4.1.6 . After the completion of the laying of the films, the joints to the vertical surfaces are sealed. The edge of the film is marked with chalk. The temporary fastening is removed from pieces of Yutafol TP 15 and the film is folded down. Tape Yutafol TP 15 is glued to the wall 15 - 20 mm below the chalk mark. Between themselves, the tape is joined end-to-end. A film is applied to the tape and fixed with a rail.

4.2. TECHNOLOGY OF LAYING UNDER-ROOF WATERPROOFING FILMS

4.2.1 . Roofing waterproofing films are laid face up (for films Yutafol D Silver and Yutavek - the dark side; for Yutafol DBT Standard - the polyethylene side; for Yutacon - the smooth side; for Yutafol D Standard and Special with a bright colored strip), across the roof slope, starting from eaves (lower point of the slope).

4.2.2 . The amount of overlap along the roll is taken depending on the slope of the roof: up to 21° - 190 - 210 mm; from 22° to 30° - 140 - 160 mm; more than 31° - 90 - 110 mm. The amount of overlap across the roll is 90 - 110 mm.

4.2.3 . When laying films on truss structures, the panels are laid with a deflection of 15 - 20 mm. In these cases, the film Yutafol D Standard is used; Yutafol D Special; Yutafol D Silver or Yutacon.

4.2.4 . When laying films on a wooden crate, Yutafol DTB Standard is used; for insulation - Yutavek.

4.2.5 . In places of passage through the films of ventilation shafts and technological pipelines, an additional layer is laid from above along the slope with the introduction of material on the slope by 300 mm, onto a vertical surface by 100 mm and fixed there with Yutafol SP 1 tape.

4.2.6 . Underlayment workwaterproofing films on roof structures are performed in the following sequence:

The measured sheet of film is installed on the first rafter and the lower end is fixed;

The canvas is unwound along the entire length and is laid parallel to the cornice;

The edge of the film on the first rafter is fixed along the entire length;

Between the first and second rafters, a template rail is applied over the film to create a deflection, and the film is fixed on the second rafter;

The operations are repeated until the film is fixed along the entire length;

The next canvas is installed on the first rafter and the lower end is fixed;

The canvas is unwound along its entire length and is laid parallel to the edge of the first canvas with a given overlap;

The deflections of the film between the rafters are carried out along the first canvas, and the film is fixed on all rafters;

The film laying operations are repeated until the entire roof surface is covered.

4.2.7 . In the ridge area, the film is laid in such a way that the design gap remains between the edges of the film panels coming from different slopes.

4.2.8 . After laying the film, the counter rails and rails provided for by the project are installed and the main waterproofing carpet is laid.

Roofing anti-condensation film UTACON is a material to protect against the penetration of moisture from the outside (rain and snow) into internal structure object, as well as from soot and dust in ventilated pitched roof systems. At the same time, it prevents the condensed water vapor from running off onto the applied thermal insulation due to the use of a moisture-absorbing non-woven material (viscose).

Specification:

Film UTACON is a four-layer polypropylene UV-stabilized fabric laminated on both sides, with a special moisture-absorbing material attached to one side. nonwoven fabric. At the same time, the upper and lower layer of the laminate provides waterproofing properties and vapor permeability of the material. The polypropylene fabric provides high strength, and the moisture-absorbing non-woven material located on the underside of the film absorbs water vapor and prevents condensation from water vapor rising from the internal volumes of the object. Thanks to high-quality raw materials, the film has a high durability, no less than the durability of roofing materials. UTACON has dimensions of 1.3x50 m. The film is not subject to rotting, mold and pests. Products are certified.

Mounting:

  • Film UTACON it is fixed directly on the plane of rafters, logs or other building elements of the roof in such a way that the distance between them when attaching the film does not exceed 1.2 m.
  • The film must not be laid directly on the formwork, other flooring and allowed to come into contact with thermal insulation.
  • The minimum gap under the film should be 4 cm.
  • Installation begins with the roof edging and continues towards the ridge. It must be reinforced on the supporting structure of the roof with counter rails.
  • There is a black stripe on the edge of the film to indicate the recommended width of the horizontal overlap with the subsequent film web.
  • After installing the film on load-bearing structure its roof should be reinforced with counter-battens. In all cases, the fit of the film in the lower area of the roof and in the area of the ridge must comply with the conditions necessary for the obligatory air flow, and in the area of the ridge a gap of at least 10 cm must be left for ventilation.

Peculiarities

In the conditions of our climate during the construction and operation of houses with insulated roofs great importance acquires the fight against condensate. Builders' mistakes are costly to homeowners. Improper installation of vapor and thermal insulation leads to the fact that the moisture contained in the form of vapor in the air warm room due to convection and diffusion, it penetrates into the insulation and the roof structure. The thermal conductivity of the insulation increases, resulting in the release of condensate, the formation of mold, moistening of the rafters and battens, freezing of the roof and damage interior decoration- a sad result of unprofessionalism and ignorance modern technologies roof structures.

AT roofing systems provides for the creation of ventilation gaps and installation waterproofing film to remove both internal and external moisture that has penetrated under the roof from the atmosphere, which ensures a long service life of the roof and the entire building. Through ventilation roofing material will not be heated from the side of the building, and the snow lying on the roof will melt evenly from the sun or heat, which solves the problem of ice formation and destruction of overhead gutters and gutters.

JUTA waterproofing

For correct and quality device roof waterproofing, there are several types of polymer films:

  • Diffuse with microperforation, designed for all types of roofs (Ondulin, Katepal, etc.) and siding, does not let moisture into the room from the outside and at the same time ensures that condensate escapes from the insulation to the outside due to microperforation. This type includes: UTAFOL D Standard, UTAFOL D Special, UTAFOL DTB Standard, UTAFOL D Silver;
  • Super diffuse membrane UTAVEC, due to high water vapor permeability (1000 g/m 2 /24h.) significantly increases the weathering of water vapor from the interior space of the object. UTAVEK is used in construction with any type of thermal insulation for all types of roofing and wall structures;
  • Anti-condensate UTACON with a moisture-absorbing non-woven material that can absorb all the resulting condensate. In the air flow, the moisture-absorbing nonwoven material dries quickly. It is recommended to use for all types of metal tiles.

Vapor barrier JUTA

Vapor barrier films are placed between the insulation and the ceiling or wall decoration and prevent the penetration of water vapor from the interior of the object into the thermal insulation, which leads to a significant reduction in water condensation in the insulation layers.

  • Vapor barriers UTAFOL N Standard, UTAFOL N Special, UTAFOL N Silver;
  • Vapor barrier with aluminum reflective layer UTAFOL N AL, which has an increased vapor barrier and reflects part of the thermal radiation back into the interior of the object.

Subroofing superdiffusion membrane UTAVEK

Functions. UTAVEK is used as a vapor-permeable under-roof waterproofing to protect under-roof structures, thermal insulation and attic space from moisture caused by rain and snow, as well as from dust, soot and adverse wind effects. Due to the high vapor permeability, UTAVEK increases the weathering of water vapor from the interior of the object. UTAVEK can be used in construction with any type of thermal insulation and for all types of roofing and wall structures.

Specification . UTAVEK is a three-layer polypropylene material consisting of two outer layers (black and white) for strength and an inner layer for waterproofing. This material has a high vapor permeability (1000 g/m 2 /24h). The roll has dimensions of 1.5 x 50m and a density of 150 g/m 2 .

Usage . UTAVEK is mounted directly on the thermal insulation or other base covering the supporting structure of the roof, where the membrane comes into contact with its lower white side with the thermal insulation. This material can also be used for external insulation of the vertical walls of the object. UTAVEK membrane is recommended for all types of coatings. UTAVEK should be stored indoors away from ultraviolet (UV) rays.

Roofing anti-condensate film YUTAKON

Functions. Underroofing anti-condensate film YUTAKON is a material for protection against penetration of moisture from the outside into the internal structure of an object, as well as against soot and dust in ventilated systems of sloping roofs. At the same time, it prevents the condensing water vapor from running off onto the applied thermal insulation due to the use of a moisture-absorbing non-woven material (viscose).

Specification . Four-layer film UTACON - UV-resistant polypropylene fabric, laminated on both sides with a polypropylene film, one side of which is attached to a moisture-absorbing non-woven material. Top and bottom lamination provides waterproofing properties and vapor impermeability of this film. The polypropylene fabric provides high strength, while the non-woven material absorbs water vapor generated in the interior of the object. Once the condensation conditions are gone, the nonwoven fabric dries quickly in the air stream. YUTAKON has a width of 1.3 and 1.5 m with a length of 50 m and a density of 130, 140 g/m2. The film, thanks to the raw materials included in its composition, has a long service life, no less than the roofing used. In addition, it is not subject to rotting, mold, does not lend itself to pests, and does not adversely affect health.

Usage . The advantage of UTACON is its strength and high UV resistance (12 months), which means that the roof after coating with the film can be uncovered for a long time, unlike other roofing films. It can be used to protect roof structures during preparatory work prior to installation of roofing, as well as to temporarily protect thermal insulation from weathering. Due to the fact that this film is vapor-tight and does not allow water vapor to penetrate from the interior of the object into the roofing, it reduces the possibility of condensation of water vapor on the applied roofing. Although UTACON film can be used for all ventilated pitched roofs, it is recommended to use it mainly for profiled roofing (metal tiles).

Roofing waterproofing film UTAFOL D

Functions. Serves as a vapor-permeable roofing film to protect roofing spaces from dust, soot and moisture resulting from rain and snow, and in attic spaces protects thermal insulation from external moisture and at the same time creates the possibility, thanks to microperforation, to ventilate water vapor. The film is intended only for ventilated pitched roof systems, and as a waterproofing of wall structures when the film is installed between the main load-bearing wall and siding.

Specification . Films UTAFOL D Standard, UTAFOL D Special consist of three layers: the main one is a reinforcing mesh made of polyethylene strips; and two external, made of polyethylene film. The reinforcing mesh gives strength to the material, double-sided lamination provides waterproofing properties, and the microperforation made creates the possibility of vapor permeability. In addition, this group includes UTAPHOL D Silver film. On the surface of some films, approximately 12 cm from the edge, there is a colored stripe, indicating a vapor-permeable version of the film. In addition, the color bar determines the recommended horizontal surface overlap with the subsequent film web. More detailed information regarding overlap is given in the table.

The film is wound on a roll in such a way that it can be easily rolled out over the roof. UTAFOL D Silver film has a width of 1.4 and 1.5 meters with a length of 50 m and different densities - from 96 to 220 g/m2. The film, thanks to the raw materials included in its composition, has a long service life. In addition, it is not subject to rotting, mold, does not lend itself to pests and does not adversely affect health.

Usage . These films can be used on all types of pitched roofs and siding. The film should be stored away from UV rays. It has a reduced flammability, tk. contains a self-extinguishing reagent. Does not support fire in case of fire.

Vapor barrier UTAFOL N

Functions. This film is designed to create a vapor-tight barrier on the inner surface of the thermal insulation in sloping and flat roofs and in the case of thermal insulation of the outer walls of the object. It contributes to a large extent to the preservation of the long-term function of thermal insulation by preventing the penetration of water vapor from the internal space of the object into the thermal insulation, which reduces the condensation of water in the layers of thermal insulation. For example, the table shows data on the increase in the thermal conductivity of the material depending on humidity, from which it can be seen that with an average of 3% wetting of thermal insulation, the use of this film is necessary. At the same time, this film protects roofing and other structures from heat loss and leaks, retains heat in the interior and protects against the adverse effects of wind.

Specification . Films UTAFOL N Standard, UTAFOL N Special consist of three layers: the main one is a reinforcing mesh made of polyethylene strips; and two external, made of polyethylene film. Reinforcing mesh gives strength to the material, double-sided lamination provides waterproofing properties and vapor permeability. In addition, this group includes UTAPHOL N Silver film. On the surface of the film, approximately 12 cm from the edge, there is a black stripe, indicating, among other things, the vapor impermeability of the film. UTAFOL N film has a width of 1.4 and 1.5 meters with a length of 50 m and different densities - from 96 to 220 g/m2. The film, due to the raw materials included in its composition, has a long service life, i.e. no less than the applied roofing. In addition, it is not subject to rotting, mold, does not lend itself to pests and does not adversely affect health.

Application . Vapor barriers can be combined with insulation (Isover, Ursa, Parok, Nobasil, etc.) and materials such as polystyrene. It can be used for both ventilated and non-ventilated roof structures, for sloped and flat roofs. The film should be stored indoors without access to UV rays. It has a reduced flammability, tk. contains a self-extinguishing reagent. Does not spread fire in case of fire.
