Paint that changes color from water for toys. UV paint for interior and exterior decoration. Features of fluorescent paint

Many of you are experiencing glowing paint for the first time. The goals and objectives of its application may be different for everyone. We will try to make it easier for you to choose a luminous paint, tell you about its differences and possible ways applications for your tasks.

When choosing our glowing paint, first of all, you need to start from the main basic differences in the type of glow. Luminous paint is divided according to the type of glow, and it happens: fluorescent, fluorescent, as well as fluorescent-fluorescent. Separately, there is a reflective paint, as well as an invisible paint that changes color in the sun or in ultraviolet.

Photo 1. We produce more than 100 types of luminous paints with different colors glow.

Luminescent luminous paint

Luminescent paint accumulates light from any sources of light and heat, and glows in the dark for up to 12-18 hours, with gradual fading. The charge-discharge cycle of this paint is endless, and does not become obsolete over the years.

This paint is interesting in that it can accumulate light quite quickly (sometimes in a few seconds, like “super-bright”). The fastest charge takes from sunlight, or from ultraviolet lamps. It also accumulates light from incandescent lamps well (about 10-30 minutes). It is interesting that even in complete darkness it can only be charged from a heat source. For example, if you cover a heating battery with this paint (which is usually hot in winter), then the paint will glow indefinitely and brightly. The heating battery will serve you as an extraordinary night light!

Fluorescent paint is acrylic based. It is absolutely safe for humans and plants. Has no smell. Ideal for: body painting, fresh flowers, silk screen printing, paper, cardboard, plastered ceilings and walls, wallpaper of all types, ideal for children's creativity. Afraid of water and dislikes wet cleaning, since it was performed on water based.

Luminescent paint on a nitrate basis has a slight smell when working with it, but after drying after 15-20 minutes there is no smell. She is encouraged to work indoors. Ideal for: Wood, cardboard, drywall, stone, concrete, plastic and some types of wallpaper.

Photo 2. The glow of a charged luminescent paint is clearly visible even in room lighting.

Heat resistant fluorescent paint PRO is considered the brightest and most versatile paint. It can be applied to absolutely any materials, and is ideal: on metal (discs and calipers), on concrete (paving slabs), glass, ceramics, natural stone, brick and wood. Feels great outdoors in any weather. It is not afraid of water, friction, temperature changes and aggressive environments. This paint has a longer lasting glow up to 12-18 hours, and it also charges faster than all luminescent paints.

Photo 3. The motorcycle is painted with Heat-resistant luminescent paint PRO super-bright No. 2 (blue glow).

Luminescent paint can be both absolutely invisible during the day and visible during the day with a glow of all colors of the rainbow. Invisible luminous paint is interesting because in daylight it is completely invisible on any surface, but in the dark it manifests itself to the fullest!

Fluorescent luminous paint

Fluorescent paint glows only under ultraviolet light, the light of UV lamps. At the same time, the glow is infinitely long and bright, while the ultraviolet lamp is on.

This paint is often used in interior design by designers and artists. Allows you to create both visible during the day and absolutely invisible paintings, and solutions that come to life under the UV light of lamps. Invisible fluorescent paint AKRIL-INVISIBLE and PRO-INVISIBLE differs from all fluorescent paints in that it has absolutely no daylight color, it is absolutely invisible on any surface.

Also, for different purposes and tasks, it happens on an acrylic, nitrate-based, as well as heat-resistant fluorescent paint. The latter, as a rule, is used in the design of the exterior of premises, since it is well applied and adheres to absolutely any materials.

Photo 5. Invisible fluorescent paint series INVISIBLE

For application on glass, we have developed non-burning paint GLASSPRO, which is not only fluorescent, but also luminescent and luminescent-fluorescent.

Acrylic-based fluorescent paints are often used to create interesting images, body painting.

Fluorescent-fluorescent luminous paint

Fluorescent-fluorescent paint is the most versatile, because it has two types of glow at once: it glows by itself in the dark with gradual fading, charging from any light source, and also infinitely long and bright under ultraviolet light from lamps. It is worth noting that ultraviolet light is the most favorable for a fast charge of the luminescent component of this paint. And this means that after you turn off the ultraviolet lamp, you will get the brightest and most intense glow of the luminescent paint layer, with attenuation in the dark up to 12 hours.

Photo 6. The photo shows a selective set of colors of fluorescent-fluorescent paint.

This paint is widely used in both interior design and exterior design. For street ( landscape design) Heat-resistant fluorescent-fluorescent paint PRO is recommended. Since, as described above, it is not afraid of water, friction, sudden temperature changes and aggressive environments. Possesses dust and water repellency, and if applied to metal, it also protects it from corrosion.

Designed for tasks where it is necessary to reflect bright or not very bright light. Thus, a short-term glow of the surface is created with the same brightness with which the light source shone on it, but in most cases increasing the brightness of the glow several times.

Photo 7. Deer antlers are covered with reflective luminous paint.

This paint is produced by us in dry form. Representing finely dispersed polished glass beads. Compatible with all kinds of conventional paints in liquid state. If you color something, sprinkle with top thin layer on the product or surface of this pigment, you will achieve a strong, inconspicuous reflective layer at the drying stage. Also, the Colorless Reflective Pigment can be added to a clear coat in a ratio of 1 to 3 (one part pigment to three parts varnish) to obtain a reflective clear coat. Subsequently, this composition can be applied to any painted or unpainted surface to create a reflective layer.

Reflective paint is used to mark road markings, fencing items that facilitate their visibility when parking cars at night, in outdoor advertising for the effective visibility of signs in roadside placement, but also in many other cases where your imagination suggests the use of this paint.

Invisible paint that changes color. Invisible paint

This paint is absolutely invisible on any surface. INVISIBLE series. When exposed to sunlight, the surface painted with this paint changes color in seconds. For example, your wall is originally yellow, but in the sun it will turn pink. Once sunlight stops shining, the wall will also quickly return to its original color.

Very interesting effects are obtained when using our Heat Resistant Invisible Paint PRO. When applied to a gray faceless paving slabs you can create magical walking paths that, in sunlight, are painted in a predetermined initially invisible bright color. And in cloudy weather they become gray and faceless again. This paint is not afraid of water and aggressive media, and protects the surface from external influences.

Several available changeable colors, but only one "invisible" color is specified when coloring. When applied to a pre-painted surface, its color does not change, but from sunlight there is an almost abrupt change in color.

Invisible ink for seals and stamps is also available. When applying such a stamp to paper, it will be visible only when illuminated with ultraviolet light. Such paint is also used at private parties, when a sign or seal is applied to the skin of a person, visible only under UV light. These paints are washed off with water and do not cause any harm.

Water-washable aerosol WATER PRO paint

This is a kind of rich fluorescent paint that can be applied to leather, fabric, car, glass and any other materials and surfaces. After that, they are easily washed off with water and a sponge, and at the same time do not damage the original surface and do not leave any marks on it.

Photo 8. The car is painted with WATERPRO paint that can be easily washed off with water.

As a rule, such paint is used at parties, various practical jokes, weddings, festivities, for shows in clubs, for incredible body painting, for inscriptions and drawings on cars. Leave a lot of impressions and no side effects.

WATERPRO spray paint also glows very well in ultraviolet light. It has all the basic colors of the rainbow, as well as a few additional ones.

Conclusion

We tried to tell you about all our paints. It should also be noted that all paints produced by us can be applied with a brush, roller, sprayer or airbrush. When choosing a paint for your task, it is worth remembering that all luminescent paints are usually applied in 2-3 layers (sometimes 5-6 layers), for a more uniform and bright glow, so consider its consumption based on this specificity.

Thermochromic paints are materials that tend to change color or discolor when the temperature changes. The scope of its application is very wide - art, printing, embossing, handicraft, automotive industry, the material can be applied to ceramics, plastics, textiles, glass, paper. This enamel is mainly used in decorative purposes, but as an indicator of changes in surface temperature, there are two types:

  1. Returnable (returning its original color after lowering the temperature).
  2. Non-returnable (do not return the previous color after thermal exposure).

Thermochromic paint changes color with temperature

The pigments that are part of the paint, which are based on liquid crystal technology, are responsible for the color-changing properties, they are contained in the microcapsules that make up the paint. The shell of the capsules retains liquid crystals, making this material can be mixed with acrylic and other types of paints, or, in some cases, with clear varnish, printing ink, plastic, rubber, resin. Temperature changes can occur both at work and at home - with your own hands.

The paint is heat-resistant, non-toxic (meets all the requirements for the production of children's goods), has a good chemical reaction, its use in the automotive industry helps to reduce the "greenhouse effect" and allows you to feel as comfortable as possible in the car interior even in very hot weather.

The percentage of paint in the composition of the solution:

  • 5-30% - in bases on a water and oil basis.
  • 0.5 - 5% - in plastics.

The proportions vary depending on what result you want to achieve.

Temperature effect

Thermochromic paints, which are returnable, after the end of exposure to temperature, return the color to its original state. Each type of this material has its characteristic activation temperature. When the heat-resistant enamel is heated to the activation temperature set for it, the pigment becomes colorless, and when the degrees drop, it returns to its original state.

Permissible temperature range from - 15 to + 70 degrees Celsius.

  • Below + 20 degrees - for applying the substance to the dishes that will be used for soft drinks.
  • + 29 ... + 31 degrees - suitable for surfaces that will change their color when exposed to body temperature (when touched). The use of this effect is widely used in advertising, on T-shirts, in magazines and on booklets.
  • Above + 43 degrees - materials intended for products that will interact with hot temperature(dishes for hot drinks). In this case, the color change effect performs not only a decorative, but also a warning function.

For application on mugs, thermochromic paint with a barrier below +20 degrees Celsius is used.

The most heat exposure - 280 C, but it is better to process at lower rates, for example - 230 C, especially when using more heat-sensitive materials (plastic, textiles)

Application methods

Applying thermochromic enamel to the surface is no different from coating with ordinary paint and you can do it yourself: with a roller, spray gun, brush or sponge. When working with an airbrush, the application will be as uniform as possible, with minimum flow paints.

20 ml acrylic enamel with the pigment added to it, it is enough for about 0.3 square meters, depending on what saturation you want to achieve.

In case of application on non-absorbent surfaces, the paint should be diluted with a water-dispersion varnish or any other acrylic emulsion.

When coating the surface with a water-based material, wait a few minutes for the paint to dry, or shorten the waiting time by applying hot air jets.

Application

  • Dishes (mugs and bottles for hot and cold drinks made of glass or ceramics. Putting such a bottle in the refrigerator, it is very easy, without touching it, by color, to determine how much it has cooled and is ready for use).
  • Clothes (t-shirts with drawing).
  • Magazines.
  • Promotional materials.
  • Children's products (for example, toys intended for bathing as entertainment for a child, or dishes with which it is convenient to determine the temperature of the liquid poured into them).
  • Protection for packaging (on pharmaceutical or cosmetic products, non-returnable heat-resistant substances are used in this area).

Solvents

Heat resistant paints are compatible with the following solvents: water, white spirit, ethanol, xylene, butanone oxime. Incompatible given material with acetone, propyl acetate and ammonium. You can dissolve the substance with your own hands at home.

Do not use acetone thinner with thermochromic paint

Thermochromic materials should not be stored in direct sunlight as the ink may lose its color changing ability. It should be borne in mind that the shelf life of thermochromic paint does not exceed two months, after which gelation occurs.

Life time heat-resistant enamel will increase if you use top coat– UV protective varnish.

Before launching the serial production of materials with application, it is necessary to conduct on-site tests on your own, with your own hands, as the final effect depends on many factors and can be different, so during testing you will have the opportunity to adjust the temperature, mixing proportions and shade.

Market construction technologies does not stand still and periodically surprises consumers with its new products. One of them is invisible daylight ultraviolet paint, which is widely used today by decorators and designers.

Its name involuntarily evokes fantastic associations, although in fact it is quite ordinary material for interior decoration.

Kinds

The range of such products can be conditionally divided into two groups:

  • luminescent;
  • fluorescent.

Each has its own special properties, which determine the specifics of their application, as well as a wide range of colors. These materials are based on insoluble and opaque alkyd or water-based pigments. During the day on light surfaces, they are almost impossible to notice, at the same time on dark coatings they look like whitish traces.

We will linger a little on pigments, since when painting any surface it would be good to know more information about them. For example, each coloring agent has such a characteristic as hiding power, i.e. how much material is required to paint a conventional amount per unit area.

If you take an ultramarine pigment, it will take about 50 g / 1 m 2. By the way, not many people know from which mineral ultramarine paint is obtained: natural from lapis lazuli, but artificial way- from a mixture of kaolin, Glauber's salt, soda, sulfur and coal.

Azure can be a standalone tint or used to enhance the color. Now you know what ultramarine paint is made of - what mineral it was first obtained from, and you can always give the correct answer.

fluorescent

  1. Invisible paint glowing in the ultraviolet, the shades are brightly acidic.
  2. Paint colors:
    • lemon;
    • yellow;
    • blue;
    • blue;
    • red;
    • brown;
    • purple;
    • mustard;
    • purple;

as well as other colors.

  1. invisible black acrylic paint does not glow in ultraviolet rays, but makes it possible to create 3D shadows in the drawings.

  1. Material used for design:
    • residential premises;
    • clubs;
    • restaurants;
    • and decoration of textiles and sports equipment;
    • signal signs.

fluorescent

This type of invisible paint can accumulate light energy, which then gradually gives off, glowing in the dark.

The duration and intensity of the glow depends on:

  • pigments and their qualities;
  • intensity and time of light exposure of the material;
  • base layer colors;
  • degree of illumination.

In normal light, it has a pale greenish tint, but in the dark it begins to glow brightly in the corresponding color.

Luminescent paints can be:

  • yellow;
  • blue;
  • green;
  • purple;
  • orange;
  • red.

Invisible luminescent paints can only glow with these colors:

  • blue-green;
  • green-yellow;
  • blue.

The material has found its application in interior decoration, it is applied by hand on wallpaper, as well as others. decorative coatings, they are decorated with decorative elements, including ceiling lamps, candlesticks and vases.

Places of application

For interior

Acrylic-based paint designed specifically for the protection and decoration of indoor wallpapers. Such materials dry very quickly, have chemical and mechanical resistance, as well as high elasticity. Each comes with instructions for use.

Special additives in the composition prevent the appearance of mold and fungi on the painted surface.

Used for ceilings and walls made of dense and porous materials:

  • bricks;
  • cement-lime plasters;
  • concrete;
  • wallpaper.

For metal

They form a glossy transparent coating.

Possess:

  • weather resistance;
  • increased strength;
  • oil resistance;
  • detergents;
  • some organic solvents.

They have a high level of drying, are used for and outside the premises. They are used in airbrushing, auto tuning, for painting car rims, in decor and design of exteriors and interiors.

Tip: when using fire-retardant paints for metal Polistil.

Paint bases

AT this moment Invisible fluorescent and fluorescent paints can be alkyd and water based.

Consider below their characteristics:

  1. Water-based materials are non-toxic, their price is quite affordable, they do not have a specific smell, therefore they are much more often used for interior decoration of residential premises and entertainment facilities. In addition, they can be successfully used for the design of facades and other finishing works outside buildings.
    Paints are steady against external influences and are not washed off by a rain and snow. They should be applied to previously degreased wood, glass, metal, fabric and stone surfaces.
  2. The alkyd base can withstand various influences to a greater extent, in addition, it is not washed off the surfaces. detergents. Due to toxic fumes during drying, such paints should be used for external design.

For example, use compositions when decorating the facades of buildings that will acquire an original appearance with appropriate lighting. Often they are used when decorating entrances to restaurants, sports clubs, discos, bars and other similar establishments.

Conclusion

If you want to give the interior of the room or the house the outside original look, use special luminous paints for this. They are of two types - fluorescent and luminescent, differing from each other in special characteristics. The video in this article will help you find Additional information on this topic.

Color changing paint is very popular today, it is actively used for painting cars. Lovers of novelties in the field of aesthetic design will love the properties and characteristics of this paint. Thanks to these technologies, you can easily change the color of the car without expensive painting and tuning services.

The developers of car accessories have finally solved the problem that concerns changing the color of the car body without a permanent painting procedure, they have created special enamels that react to different conditions environment. Today, the following types of paints can already be found on sale, which can change color as a result of certain effects on the surface:

  • Heat sensitive paint. Changes color as a result of change temperature regime environment. Depending on the effect of temperature, the color will be uneven, partial.
  • hydrochromic paint. May change color solely as a result of exposure to water on the surface of the coating. The water temperature doesn't matter. The color will change unevenly - only those parts where moisture has got into are involved.
  • Paramagnetic paint. Change color solution carried out through the desire of the owner of the car. All manipulations are performed using special remote control. Uniform color change. Several shades are present at the same time.

So far, only three types of car enamel have been developed that can qualitatively change the color. vehicle. The principle of operation of each of them is produced as a result of the influence of various factors.

In the video: the effect of paramagnetic paint.

Operation features

Each of the presented types of enamels has its own operating conditions. As chemical composition each of them is unique, and most importantly sensitive, then the care of such a coating is carried out in accordance with certain instructions:

  • Heat-sensitive paint has a number of features associated with the conditions of its operation. A high level of UV exposure degrades the appearance of thermal inks, so additional varnishing is often required.
  • Enamel, which changes shades as a result of the action of water, can be applied partially to the car body or completely. The only negative is that the base of the color will be exclusively white before moisture enters.
  • Paramagnetic paint can only be used when the car engine is on, as it requires electricity. When the motor is off, it is not possible to change the shade.

The disadvantage of autoenamels of this type is the high cost. But, the main problem is to draw up documents for the car, since changing the color does not allow you to enter the main characteristics in the documentary base. In some countries, this technology is completely banned.

The principle of operation of unique car enamels

Each of the declared technologies for changing the color scheme of a car works in accordance with its own principle. The quality of the coating high level. In most cases it is practically not required. special care, except for heat-sensitive enamel.

The most primitive and simple (relative to the idea) principle that promotes thermal sensitivity. Special granules are added to the base enamel, which react to changes in the state of the environment. In addition to the simplicity of work, the cost of this tool is quite high.

Hydro-enamel does not depend on temperature. Here the main influence is the chemical composition of water. The principle of color change is as follows: the body of the machine is covered with two layers of paint, the lower one is the desired shade, on top it is covered with a special white enamel that disappears under the action of water. Such a coating lends itself to partial staining.

Making a more unique design that can be easily controlled is possible when using paramagnetic enamel. It is controlled by a remote control. Special polymers interfere with the paint, which, under the influence of a magnetic pulse, change the structure. The uniqueness lies in the response of the polymer to the magnetic field.

It is possible to apply such a substance on your own, because the principle of staining is no different from the usual procedure. Special technologies also not needed. The main thing is to consistently and correctly apply certain layers. Some craftsmen form graffiti or drawings on the surface of this kind of paint, playing with the sequence of layers.
