APPENDIX B (mandatory)

Procedure for determining air and water permeability classes

The air permeability class of the window block is determined by the volumetric air permeability Q, m?/(h · m?). On a logarithmic scale of coordinates, normative direct graphs of the dependence of air permeability Q on the pressure drop DP, Pa are built, which determine the boundaries of air permeability classes. The tangent of the slope of the straight lines corresponding to the filtration mode is taken equal to 2/3, the base points for constructing the straight lines correspond to the values of air permeability Q equal to 3, 9, 17, 27 and 50 m?/(h m2) at a pressure drop of 100 Pa. Based on the test results of window blocks, which are carried out in accordance with GOST 26602.2, a line of actual measurements is built and the air permeability class is determined by its location. An example of determining the air permeability class is shown in Figure B. 1.

Figure B.1 - An example of determining the air permeability class

In cases where the line of actual measurements located in the field of any class (for example, class B), in a local area enters the field of the lower class (for example, class G), the lowest air permeability class is assigned to the test sample.

Window blocks of class A must be tested to a control pressure drop DP = 600 Pa, class B - 500 Pa, class C - 400 Pa, class G - 300 Pa, class D - 150 Pa. The same values of pressure drops correspond to the limiting pressure drops for determining the class of window blocks in terms of water permeability. The water permeability class is determined by the magnitude of the pressure drop at which water penetrates through the window block (water tightness limit).

The general class of the window block in terms of air and water permeability is taken according to the smallest of the air permeability and water permeability classes.

The procedure for determining the classes of air and water permeability

The air permeability class of the window block is determined by the volumetric air permeability Q, m 3 /(h-m 2). On a logarithmic scale of coordinates, normative direct graphs of the dependence of air permeability Q on the pressure drop AP, Pa are built, which determine the boundaries of air permeability classes. The tangent of the slope of the straight lines corresponding to the filtration mode is taken equal to 2/3, the base points for constructing the straight lines correspond to the values of air permeability Q equal to 3, 9, 17, 27 and 50 m 3 /(h ■ m 2) at a pressure drop of 100 Pa. Based on the test results of window blocks, which are carried out in accordance with GOST 26602.2, a line of actual measurements is built and the air permeability class is determined by its location. An example of determining the air permeability class is shown in Figure B. 1.

In cases where the line of actual measurements located in the field of any class (for example, class B), in a local area enters the field of the lower class (for example, class D), the lowest air permeability class is assigned to the test sample.

Window blocks of class A must be tested to a control pressure drop AR - 600 Pa, class B - 500 Pa, class C - 400 Pa, class D - 300 Pa, class D - 150 Pa.

Annex B (mandatory)

PROCEDURE FOR DETERMINING AIR AND WATER PERMEABILITY CLASSES

The air permeability class of the window block is determined by the volumetric air permeability Q, m 3 /m 2 x h. On a logarithmic scale of coordinates, normative direct graphs of the dependence of air permeability Q on the pressure drop Delta P, Pa are built, which determine the boundaries of air permeability classes.

The tangent of the slope of the straight lines corresponding to the filtration mode is taken equal to 2/3, the base points for constructing the straight lines correspond to the air permeability values Q equal to 3, 9, 17, 27 and 50 m 3 /m 2 x h at a pressure drop of 100 Pa. According to the test results of window blocks, which are carried out in accordance with GOST 26602.2, they build a line of actual measurements and determine the air permeability class by its location.

An example of determining the air permeability class is shown in Figure B.1.

Figure B.1. Example of determining the air permeability class

In cases where the line of actual measurements located in the field of any class (for example, class B), in a local area enters the field of the lower class (for example, class D), the lowest air permeability class is assigned to the test sample.

Window units of class A must be tested to a control pressure drop Delta P = 600 Pa, class B - 500 Pa, class C - 400 Pa, class G - 300 Pa, class D - 150 Pa.

The tangent of the slope angle of the straight lines corresponding to the filtration mode is taken equal to 2/3, the base points for constructing the straight lines correspond to the air permeability values Q equal to 3, 9, 17, 27 and 50 m?/(h m2) at a pressure drop of 100 Pa.

From September 1, 2016 in the Russian Federation comes into force Amendment No. 1 to GOST 23166-99 “Window blocks. General technical conditions" ( normacs://normacs.ru/_1FGE ) in terms of establishing requirements for the safe operation of tilt-and-turn window sashes.

Section 5 of the GOST 23166-99 standard is supplemented with the requirements that the design of window blocks should allow ventilation of the room also due to “parallel-retractable opening that provides intensive ventilation due to the formation of a gap around the entire perimeter of the window block”. In accordance with new edition standard, products must be safe in operation and maintenance due to the configuration with special security locks that block the swing opening of the window sash. By using a security lock, the window can be tilted or parallel-retractable opening of its sashes. The standard also contains requirements for the use of the corresponding mechanism.

These solutions meet safety requirements, exclude injuries and falling out of windows due to reliable fixation of the window sash.
