The most common cladding material is wood. To do this, you can use boards or logs. In the case of boards, this is an easier option. The ring of the well is furnished with boards around the entire circumference. The lower part of the boards is dug into the ground, and top part fixed with the base of the cover. It is easy to make such a skin, but the aesthetic appearance leaves much to be desired.

If logs are used for sheathing, then the appearance is much better. The logs are installed according to the principle of a log house, which is why the ground part has square shape, on which the base of the covering is attached. "Crane" is a rather bulky structure, so it is rarely built on a summer cottage.

The gate is a cylinder fixed on an axis and on which, during rotation, a chain is wound with a bucket attached to it.

This mechanism consists of 2 racks fixed along the edge of the ground part, a cylindrical part with axes for mounting it on racks. You can make these components with your own hands. You won’t need any special materials or tools, everything can be found in the country.

First you need to decide what the mechanism will be made of. It can be made entirely of wood or metal, or both can be used in construction.

Gate - the mechanism is also simple, and you can do it yourself. This will require:

  • wooden deck;
  • 2 wooden beams 200 × 200 mm or 2 channels;
  • metal rod;
  • metal sheet 50 × 50 cm and 3 mm thick;
  • drill;
  • welding machine;
  • emery or grinder;
  • nails;
