How to connect plumbing pipes. Installation of a toilet bowl with a horizontal outlet. Connection of sewer pipes "in the socket"

In this article I will write about how the connection of plastic sewer pipes among themselves, with cast-iron pipes, as well as with shaped different types. Some solutions may seem unusual, but they are quite capable of helping you out when installing complex configurations of the waste system.

General rules

A number of rules are relevant for the installation of any sewage system, regardless of the type of pipes and the style used.

  • Gravity sewer socket connections are always assembled so that the sockets are directed against the movement of drains. In this case, the inner surface of the pipeline will be as smooth as possible, devoid of irregularities that can cause blockages;
  • The pipe is laid with a constant slope along the drain. The optimal slope value is determined by the diameter:
  • Pipes are not mounted with a bend or stretch. Turns are carried out only at the expense of shaped elements;

Due to the elasticity of the polymer, a polyethylene sewer pipe still allows slight bends.
For PVC, polypropylene and especially cast iron internal stresses contraindicated: in combination with temperature changes, they often lead to cracks.

  • Connections at bends and branches are made with oblique tees and half-bends at angles of 30 - 45 degrees. This eliminates the overflow of the pipe during salvo discharges and simplifies cleaning in case of blockages: the cable or sewer wire passes a smooth bend with minimal resistance. In addition, on a tee they always move along, without bending in the opposite direction;

  • Complex assemblies with several shaped elements must be fixed with clamps. This instruction will exclude spontaneous undocking of socket connections;
  • Horizontal sections assembled from plastic pipes are fixed with clamps, clips, supports or hangers every 8-10 pipe diameters. Otherwise, after 1 - 2 years of service, the pipes sag, forming sections with counterslopes, each of which is a potential site of blockage;
  • When assembling the risers, the pipes are attached to each socket. A cast-iron bed is mounted in a similar way (horizontal sewerage);

  • The connection of cast iron and plastic sewer pipes is carried out with a number of restrictions associated with the difference in strength and ring stiffness. In particular, you cannot mint a plastic pipe in a cast-iron socket and use a cast-iron style or pipe to replace the section plastic riser. In the first case, the plastic will crumble, in the second, the plastic sockets will collapse over time under the weight of the cast iron.

It is still possible to bypass the last problem. To do this, it is enough to ensure the rigid fastening of all cast-iron shaped elements and pipes to the main wall.

Chasing a plastic pipe in a cast iron socket is a bad idea.

plastic with plastic

How to connect sewer plastic pipes when assembling gravity household sewerage? For connection, both pipes and fittings are equipped with sockets with rubber ring seals. The pipe is inserted into the socket with some force - and the next joint can be mounted.

Unlike cast iron bells, which require embossing, plastic sewer if necessary, it can be just as easily dismantled or disassembled for cleaning.

How to cut a plastic pipe in place with your own hands and prepare it for docking with a socket?

I do it like this:

  1. I mark the position of the cut, taking into account the depth of the socket;
  2. I wrap the pipe with a sheet of paper, aligning its edges, and draw a circle along the edge of the sheet. It will be exactly perpendicular to the longitudinal axis;

  1. I cut the pipe according to the marking with a grinder with an abrasive wheel. For metal or stone - it doesn't matter;

Exactly abrasive wheel gives perfect precise cut with a minimum of burrs.
Circular Saw, hand saw and even diamond circle cut plastic much harder.
Abrasive cutting is not applicable only for polyethylene pipes: the polymer has a lower melting point than that of PVC and polypropylene and begins to flow.

  1. With the same abrasive wheel I remove the outer chamfer. It will greatly simplify the assembly of the socket connection;
  2. I clean with a sharp knife inner surface from burrs.

How to assemble the socket if the pipe does not want to go into the O-ring?

  • Make sure that the O-ring is not twisted and fits all around into the annular groove in the socket;

  • Apply a little liquid soap or any other lubricant to the inside of the flare. water based. In no case do not use engine oil and other fuels and lubricants for lubrication: they will cause the rubber of the seal to crack.

Is it possible to connect two socketless plastic pipes together? Of course. For this purpose, a sewer coupling is used - a short pipe with two sockets.

Installation is carried out in exactly the same way as in the case of joining socket pipes.

When installing horizontal sections of the sewer, which is not supposed to be disassembled for, assembly on silicone sealant is practiced.

It definitely won’t get any worse: silicone will ensure tightness even if, with a long idle time, the rubber seals lose their elasticity and leak. However, I strongly recommend that the reader refrain from saving on sealant: cheap silicone does not stick to smooth plastic, depriving the additional seal of any meaning.

Compensating pipe

What if additional shaped element(tee, cross, revision, etc.) need to be cut into a straight pipe section?

A compensating pipe equipped with an elongated socket will come to the rescue.

The cut is done like this:

  1. A section of pipe is cut. Preferably near the bell. If the nearest socket is far away, a sewer sleeve is put on the smooth end of the downstream pipe;
  2. A compensator is pulled onto the upper tube until it stops;
  3. The smooth end of the style that we want to mount is inserted into the socket of the lower pipe or coupling;
  4. The compensating branch pipe is lowered through the pipe into the socket of the shaped element;
  5. The neck of the latter is fixed with a clamp or clip to prevent its displacement and disconnection of the connection.

Plastic with cast iron

How to connect a cast-iron sewer pipe with a plastic one when replacing a section of an old sewer?

  • The plastic pipe is inserted into cast iron socket of the corresponding diameter through rubber cuff- sealant. The socket must first be cleaned of rust, deposits and remnants of the old seal ( cement mortar and cables). It does not hurt to apply silicone sealant between the bell and the cuff: the inner surface of the bell almost always has significant irregularities;

Sealing cuff - adapter.

  • A cast iron pipe with a nominal diameter of 100 mm enters the socket of a 110 mm plastic sewer after cleaning the surface from paint and rust deposits. And in this case, it is desirable to chamfer from the end of the pipe (using a grinder with a circle for metal or a regular file);

The compensating pipe mentioned above is also perfectly put on a stripped cast-iron pipe.
I have used it to cut into cast iron riser additional taps. The expansion joint with a sleeve can also be used to repair a destroyed cast-iron socket.

  • Those who are too lazy to bother with stripping cast iron can connect a sewer pipe - plastic to cast iron using a special adapter equipped with a wide socket and a thick sealing cuff. The price of the product is about 200 rubles.

Adapter from cast iron to plastic. His distinguishing feature- extended bell with a thick sealing cuff.

A special case

As a separate item, I will mention the connection of the siphon elbow under the sink with the socket of the old cast-iron comb (internal sewerage). Theoretically, this connection should be airtight. The gap between the socket and the knee often leads to a persistent smell of sewage in the bathroom or in the kitchen.

Most often, this problem occurs in winter, when snow caps form on the outlets of the risers to the roof, interfering with normal ventilation.
The draft in the riser clogged from above begins to transport air, along with accompanying aromas, from the apartments down the riser to the upper ones.

The regular sealing of the connection in most of the piping kits for the sink is below any criticism: it is a plastic semi-circular plug with a hard rubber gasket.

The situation can be saved by a cuff for a toilet bowl with an upper tank, made in the form of two rubber cylinders of different diameters. It is stretched with the narrow side over the knee, and the wide side over the cast-iron bell, after which foreign odors you can forget in the apartment.

Pressure sewer

Usually in living conditions sewerage is made by gravity; however, with difficult terrain or when placing plumbing fixtures in the basement separate sections can be completed fecal pumps. How are pressure sections installed?

  • Normal non-pressure pipe with the obligatory fastening of all necks. The strength of pipes and fittings is quite sufficient to withstand a pressure of 3 - 5 meters. Rigid fixation of all connections will not allow them to undock;
  • socket pipe under adhesive joints. PVC solvent adhesive is applied to outer surface pipes or on the inner surface of the socket, after which the parts are combined, rotated a quarter of a turn and fixed for a couple of minutes in a stationary position;

  • pressure head polyethylene pipe. Its diameters correspond to the diameters of free-flow sewers and make it fully compatible with plastic fittings.

crazy hands

Finally, a couple more recipes that can help you in emergency situations.

Corrugation

It is a corrugated polyethylene tube with a diameter of about 100 mm with a smooth section on one side and a bell on the other with a cuff. The corrugation is designed to connect a toilet with an offset relative to the sewer socket.

However, it can also be used for other purposes:

  • For installation of a toilet bowl with an oblique or horizontal outlet in a Stalin-era house built for vertical outlets. In many houses built in the 30s - 50s of the last century, the sewerage system is brought out in the toilet at floor level; for connection with the riser, a ladder is installed under the ceiling of the lower apartment;

  • For turning the toilet bowl at right angles to the outlet. If necessary, two corrugations can be connected in series for this purpose. I happened to deploy the toilet in this way in my own apartment: its dimensions and installed in a cramped bathroom washing machine made it impossible to use the bathroom;

  • For connecting two plastic pipes at an arbitrary angle (in particular, to bypass water risers and other obstacles).

When installing corrugations, it is worth remembering a couple of subtleties:

  1. It shouldn't sag. I already wrote about the dangers of counter-clones above. In the case of corrugations, the situation is aggravated by an uneven inner surface;
  2. The corrugation cannot be embedded in boxes and false walls. Its service life rarely exceeds 5 years. Typical problem of this fitting - to flow along the corrugation fold.

Socket for glue

An ordinary PVC gravity pipe can be converted into a glue socket with special requirements for the strength of the connection.

This is done like this:

  1. The end of the pipe is heated to a plastic state over gas, an electric stove or using a building hair dryer;
  2. Then the pipe is slightly stretched (hands in tight gloves or by pulling on a liter glass jar, the diameter of which approximately corresponds to a 110 mm sewer);
  3. An impromptu bell is put on smooth pipe with silicone coated on its outer surface. The pipe should go into it by about 10 cm; as a rule, it has to be warmed up two or three times. Silicone performs the function of a lubricant and, after setting, a sealing adhesive.

The connection of plastic sewer pipes is performed different ways. This is due to the wide range of such products.

1

Under the products of interest to us, we understand the leads Wastewater made of polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene and polybutylene. These thermoplastic materials are capable of, when heated to high temperatures soften, and upon subsequent cooling, completely restore its structure and physical qualities. AT last years sewage disposal systems are created with the help of such products. They are confidently replacing outdated types of sewer pipes and connections from the market:

  • From concrete. Such tubular products are now used only for arrangement. concrete structures are heavy and very difficult to transport and install.
  • From asbestos cement. These pipes are characterized by increased resistance to chemical and thermal influences, as well as corrosion, affordable cost and low weight. But their throughput quite low, and during the installation of asbestos-cement networks, there is a high probability of breakage and deformation of pipes due to their excessive fragility.
  • From cast iron. These products have many operational advantages. For this reason, they have always been actively used to build sewer networks. But cast-iron pipes also have a lot of disadvantages, ranging from heavy weight to their tendency to clog quickly.

Plastic sewer pipes

Plastic pipelines are devoid of almost all the disadvantages of other sewer pipes. They are not afraid chemical compounds and aggressive environments, operate without accidents up to 80–100 years, have high level elasticity and mechanical strength, do not rust during long-term operation, are installed according to different methods with a guaranteed high-quality result of installation activities.

In addition, pipes PVC high throughput due to their perfectly smooth surface (internal). The undoubted advantage is the low weight of such products. Working with them is really simple and easy. Next, we will describe how sewer pipes made of thermoplastic materials are connected using different technologies.

2

Special elements are used to install and fasten plastic pipes, as well as to branch the flows flowing through them. They are called fittings or fittings. Such details allow you to form the required design of pipelines. Under the fittings used in the assembly process internal sewerage understand:

  • crosses;
  • couplings;
  • sealing cuffs;
  • bends;
  • revisions;
  • transitions;
  • tees.

PVC pipe connections

The pipeline from plastic products is created using detachable or one-piece connections. In the first case, either flanges or couplings are used. Such methods of building a sewer network do not require the use of special tool and expensive materials, which reduces the cost of installation work. Not detachable connections are carried out using adhesives, welding, special fittings. In this case, the connections are obtained as reliable, tight and durable as possible. But this becomes possible only with the use of special tools and special compositions.

The connection of pipelines using flanges or couplings (they can be compression and threaded) allows you to make a completely detachable sewer network. Moreover, all work is carried out quickly and without problems. But over time, collapsible nodes begin to unwind, which leads to leakage of the joint. Therefore, detachable connections are now rarely used and exclusively for installing outlets with a cross section of no more than 6.3 cm from pallets, bathtubs and washbasins. The process of mounting a collapsible element is as follows. First, you pull the sealing ring and locknut onto the pipe. Then place a pipe product in the fitting of the coupling and fix the connection with another nut. It must be tightly screwed onto the thread, which is available at the end of the coupling used. This work is considered completed.

3

The most common and simple method connection of sewer pipes is a socket technology. It can be implemented by any home craftsman. The scheme of its implementation is as follows:

  1. You clean the connection areas of the system (bell and smooth end of the pipe), equip them with rubber sealing elements.
  2. Apply liquid soap (or better, silicone-based lubricant) to the smooth end of the plastic product.
  3. Connect the two parts of the pipeline to the stop, making sure that there is not the slightest play between them.
  4. On a pipe with a smooth end, put the risk. This label will show you the (real) depth of the connection.

Plastic pipes under the bath

After that, you will only have to undock the pipes from the level of their maximum penetration by about 10 mm (be guided by the mark set earlier). The socket is always directed towards the medium flow in the opposite direction. Now let's see how to connect sewer pipes using adhesives. There are no difficulties here either. you need to buy good glue in hardware store(listen to the advice of sellers, they will offer you optimal composition for joining thermoplastic materials), thoroughly clean the surfaces of the products to be bonded, then sand them and additionally treat them with a degreasing mixture.

After that, apply glue to the prepared pipes, insert the edges of the latter into each other, hold them in this position for one to two minutes. Connection completed! To increase its tightness, it is recommended to apply an adhesive on top of the joint made. Extremely durable and over reliable connection PVC pipes are provided by the method of their welding with special devices.

As the latter, units for heating the ends of pipes and special soldering irons are usually used. Both the first and second devices are sold in specialized stores. It is not difficult to work with such welding equipment. The rules for their use can be mastered in just a couple of minutes. How to connect sewer pipes using a soldering iron or a special plastic welder? Elementary. You will need to melt the ends of the PVC pipes to be joined using the indicated devices, and then press the heated products very tightly against each other. In just a few minutes you will get a monolithic, absolutely tight connection.

Not all high-rise buildings and residential buildings have replaced old cast-iron pipes with plastic ones. AT similar situations measures to create high-quality sewerage are becoming more complicated. The connection of cast-iron pipes is made according to a single method - socket. The technology of its implementation is identical to the operations performed during the assembly of PVC structures. You clean the ends of the pipes, insert the smooth end into the socket, and then proceed to seal the resulting joint. This is where the feature lies. Products are pressed (minted) not with sealing rings, but with special cords (oiled) from fibers of organic origin.

Connection of cast iron and PVC pipes

Sealing joints in such situations is carried out as follows:

  1. Insert the end of the cast-iron pipe into the socket, center it with metal or wooden stops. They should be driven directly into the gap between tubular products.
  2. Wind one turn of the cord around the connection and push the fibers into it. They must sink to about 75% of the depth of the bell.
  3. You make another turn of the cord. Repeat the procedure for deepening it into the socket.
  4. Then alternately wind the remaining turns according to the described scheme until the rope is on the joint surface.

The final work on sealing the joint of cast iron products is the application of a cement patch over the pressed fibers. Instead of cement, it is allowed to use a silicone-based sealant or bituminous mastic. The resulting connection will please you with high reliability. True, after some time the procedure for sealing the joint may have to be repeated. Using the socket method, it is also possible to connect PVC pipes with cast iron products. To do this, you need a special rubber adapter (cuff). You will need to first thoroughly clean the cast-iron socket from contamination.

Then process the adapter from its outer part silicone sealant. Now you need to carefully place the cuff into the socket, and then insert it into the adapter new pipe from plastic.

In cases where a cast iron product does not have a socket, the technology for connecting a plastic pipe to it will be slightly different. You need to cut off a piece of cast-iron pipe with a grinder. Here it is very important to perform the operation so that the edge of the cut product is as even and smooth as possible. After that, a rubber adapter must be pulled onto the cast-iron pipe. Be sure to seal the edges of the latter with sealant. Now put another adapter on the mounted structure. This element is already made of plastic. It also needs a layer of sealant. And then boldly insert the PVC product into the adapter and enjoy the tightness of the resulting connection of two pipes made of completely different materials.

A mixed connection (metal plus thermoplastic material) of sewer pipes is sometimes performed using linen plumbing winding. The procedure for such cases is as follows:

  • in the area where the cast-iron pipe will be connected to the plastic one, wind the linen winding;
  • join tubular products;
  • with a narrow spatula or a small screwdriver, push the flax into the gap between the pipes;
  • polymer-cement composition (PVA glue + water + cement) process the area of \u200b\u200bthe junction of plastic and cast iron.

Connecting pipes with len

After all these simple activities, you need to wait 24-36 hours. Sewerage is not allowed during this time! We'll have to be patient until the cast-iron and plastic pipe seize tightly. If the gap between the two pipes is very small (up to 2 mm), it is allowed to use plumbing silicone instead of winding. You will need to dry thoroughly building hair dryer plastic and cast iron pipes, and then fill the gap between them silicone compound. A similar operation should be carried out with a construction gun.

Try to feed the silicone as deep as possible into the slot. Then the connection will be truly strong and durable. The sealant dries within 4-6 hours. After this time, you can use the sewer system.

Plastic pipes are made from thermoplastic materials, and those, in turn, are compositions that include polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polybutylene or polypropylene. They soften when they are heated to critical temperatures, and then, when cooled, they restore their structure and their inherent properties without any problems.

In the last decade, metal products have been increasingly replaced with plastic pipes. They quickly gained popularity due to the presence of a number of undeniable advantages:

  • not susceptible to corrosive processes and when laying them in the ground there is no need to isolate the pipeline;
  • impact resistance chemical substances and aggressive environments;
  • light weight;
  • smooth surface from the inside, due to which the throughput of pipes increases;
  • simple installation of plastic sewer pipes is possible due to the use of fittings;
  • resistance to mechanical influences;
  • high elasticity;
  • durability and reliable operation even up to 100 years.
Despite the obvious advantages of plastic products, it must be remembered that pipes made of thermoplastic materials do not tolerate high temperatures and have limitations regarding working pressure. The sewer system consists of pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures. The main purpose of sewerage is the removal of waste water from the places of its use in the house.

If it is necessary to install the system, you should consider the layout of the pipeline and determine how to connect the plastic pipes for the sewer (read also: "").

Stages of preparation for the installation of plastic pipes

Before you start laying pipes, you need to draw up a diagram sewer system, calculate and purchase quantity necessary materials and prepare the tools.

When making calculations, take into account consumers using plumbing system.

Fittings (connecting parts) used during installation internal system, attachment and branching of fluid flows are:

  • clutch;
  • plug;
  • tee;
  • transition;
  • cross;
  • sealing cuff;
  • revision;
  • retraction (angle).
All of the above products give the desired design to the sewer system.

At this stage, the length of the pipes and the amount of other materials are determined.

The tie-in into the main sewer line is carried out using a cross, which has three leads, two of them with a diameter of 50 millimeters, and one with a diameter of 100 millimeters (more: ""). A toilet bowl is connected to a 100 mm outlet, to one of the 50 mm outlets - the rest of the plumbing located in the toilet and bathroom (these are sinks, a bathtub, washing machine), and to the second 50 mm terminal - plumbing fixtures in the kitchen (sink and dishwasher).

The intra-house network is a system that functions without pressure. On it, the drains move under a uniform slope in the direction of the riser. How it looks can be seen in the photo. At the same time, uninterrupted movement of wastewater must be ensured.

Optimal size the slope of the pipeline should be 2-3 centimeters per meter. They begin the installation of plastic sewer pipes with their own hands from the far point of entry into the sewage disposal system. From this place, you need to calculate the slope.

How to connect plastic pipes

After finishing preparatory work proceed with the installation of the pipeline.

There are two ways to connect sewer plastic pipes:

Union connection. The ends of the pipes are cut at a right angle, put on the coupling so that its center coincides with the junction. Then marks are made on the products according to the position of the coupling. From the inside, the ends of the elements are lubricated with grease. Further, one end of the pipe is inserted into the coupling and pushed onto the other, adhering to the marks. When creating a non-pressure sewer, fittings from corrugated pipes.

Both of these methods are low cost and do not require the use of special tools and expensive equipment.

Permanent connection. Butt welding requires special equipment. Electrofusion couplings are also used: for this, the edges of the pipe and the coupling are heated, setting the appropriate parameters on the equipment. The adhesive option involves the use of special glue. Before gluing a sewer plastic pipe, carefully study the instructions for the adhesive composition.

The above methods of connecting plastic products into a single structure provide a reliable, tight and durable connection for decades. They have one drawback (except adhesive version) is the need to use equipment that is expensive.

Connection of sewer pipes "in the socket"

As for the socket connection, it is considered the most in a simple way installation of plastic pipes using shaped products. The tightness is ensured by the compression of the rubber ring on the socket and the smooth end of the pipes (more: ""). Their edge is lubricated with silicone, then inserted into the socket, and the pipe itself is fixed on the supporting surface.

At the same time, one should not forget that the socket is located in the opposite direction with respect to the direction of the flow of effluents. Before connecting sewer plastic pipes, you can lubricate their ends liquid soap. To process the end of the products, a hacksaw with fine teeth is used.

Connecting pipes for sewerage with glue

The strength of this connection method is based on the interpenetration of polymers at the molecular level.

First of all, you should purchase a special glue with which the edges of the pipes are coated.

After that:

  • the surfaces to be glued are cleaned of dirt, sanded and degreased;
  • prepared edges are smeared with glue;
  • the ends of the pipes are placed inside each other;
  • in order to ensure tightness, they coat the junction.
It is necessary to start connecting the elements of the pipeline immediately after applying the adhesive composition, since it quickly loses its properties in air. Bonding must be completed within 90 seconds.

How to glue pipes by welding

When using welded methods for mounting plastic pipes, the connected edges of the products are subjected to a small melting process using special equipment. The heated ends are pressed against each other, withstand a certain time until the junction cools down.

It cannot be said that this method has a significant drawback: not all types of welding work can be carried out at home. So, before proceeding with the implementation of electric welding, they undergo special training.

Connecting pipes with fittings

connect plastic products using fittings due to their internal sealing ring. Installation of the pipeline in this way can be done by hand (read also: ""). Any beginner is able to connect such household appliance like a washing machine to a sink with a tee fitting. The connection of pipes without soldering using compression fittings is used to fix parts of the pipeline having a small diameter.

One of important elements sewer system are cleaning hatches, which are located in those places where blockage is most likely to occur. They must be easily accessible for cleaning and inspection. Cleaning hatches come in different configurations.

Based on the above information, we can conclude that plastic pipes are in many ways superior to metal products.

The term plastic pipe is a generic term that includes thermoplastic products. In turn, this includes pipes made of polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polybutylene or polypropylene, etc.

Most sewer pipelines are made of, therefore, in the framework of this article, we will consider the connection of just such products. After all, from correct connection depends on the reliability and durability of the entire system.

Connection methods

There are several options for installing plastic pipes:

  • into the socket;
  • with glue;
  • welding;
  • fittings.

All these methods will provide a durable, tight and reliable connection. Now let's analyze them in more detail.

Video: How to easily join sewer pipes and other tips for laying sewers

in the bell

This is the simplest, and therefore the most popular option. The work is divided into several stages:

  1. We clean the socket and the end of the pipe from dust and dirt.
  2. Checking availability rubber seal which ensures tightness.
  3. We lubricate the pipe silicone grease and insert into the socket. On the pipe, it is necessary to make a mark in advance indicating the depth of insertion.
  4. Gently pull the pipe back 1 cm, guided by the mark.

By compressing the end of the pipe with the rubber ring of the socket, the connection is sealed.

On a note!

Silicone grease can be replaced with soap or any detergent. Pipes are cut with a hacksaw with a fine tooth.

With glue

This, no less simple, method is used to PVC mounting pipes. For such connections, a special glue is used. The work goes as follows:

  • The surfaces to be bonded are cleaned and degreased.
  • Glue is applied to the prepared surface.
  • The pipes are inserted into each other and hold them in this position for 1 minute.
  • To increase the tightness, the pipe joint is coated with another layer of glue.

On a note!

The bonding process should not exceed 1 - 2 minutes, as the adhesive loses its properties in air.

Welding

The next connection option is welding. To do this, you will need to purchase special equipment with which the plastic is heated. Pipes heated to a temperature at which the plastic begins to melt are pressed against each other for several minutes.

After complete cooling, a monolithic connection is obtained, which is characterized by increased tightness. The disadvantage of this method is the need to purchase special equipment, which is quite expensive.

With fittings

You can also connect plastic pipes with special fittings. This method is often used when one or two connections are needed in a small diameter pipeline. This method is also popular when connecting. For installation, a coupling with a rubber gasket is installed on the pipeline.

Stages of installation of sewer plastic pipes

The arrangement of the sewer system begins with preparation, namely, with the construction of a sewerage scheme, the calculation of the necessary materials, etc. And for this you need:

  1. take into account all consumers of water;
  2. draw a diagram - where the turns, bends will be located, determine the number of fittings;
  3. calculate required amount pipes and other materials.

Most often it is a non-pressure system, which means that the drains move by gravity, due to a uniform slope towards the riser. ensures uninterrupted water flow. Installation begins from the far point of wastewater drainage, it is from it that the slope is calculated, which is 2 cm per 1 meter of the pipeline.

The choice of the method of connecting plastic sewer pipes depends on their features, the availability of skills and tools. If you are not sure that you can do all the work yourself with high quality, then it is better to entrust this to specialists, which will eliminate the occurrence of leaks and repair work.
