Thus, for a door of 2000x800 mm, an opening of 2080x900 mm is needed (80 mm higher and 100 mm wider). If the dimensions of the opening are larger than the calculated ones by 2-3 cm on each side, this excess can be removed using polyurethane foam. For large gaps, you will have to adjust the opening.

When such a deficiency occurs, experts recommend using gypsum mixture to close the gaps that have formed. But there is a better option: first level the wall with plaster so that it is the same around the entire perimeter of the opening.

Canvas height

This value must be measured from both sides on the side slope. The standard height of such structures is 2 meters. If you measure the height of the opening from the top to the floor, and it will be more than 2.10 meters, then the decorative trim, which is fixed on the top box, will not close the opening properly, a gap will appear between the wall and the trim. What to do? In this case, you should reduce the opening in height or purchase wide trim.
