Lots of space organization ideas. Original ideas for storing things in a small apartment: convenient storage systems, practical devices

I have long promised a series of posts based on a post about. In the near future, we will just start sorting out the closet, putting away summer things with a sigh on the back shelves and hanging warm cardigans, woolen dresses on hangers, taking out scarves, scarves and boots from the bowels. Therefore, it's time to start a conversation :-)

In the last post, many complained that there was not enough space, nothing fits, nowhere to go, nothing to wear, everything is logical :-) And here our conversation can be made very short.

*suddenly in a terrible voice* THROW OUT everything superfluous and everything that you don’t wear, and you will have a place even in the very small closet. And something tells me that at this place you will mentally send me to hell :-) Who will part with his dear, valuable, found in the sweat of his brow at a sale and parted from the hands of a competitor. I myself am like that, I have been walking around the closet for a month now, and most importantly, I know very clearly what should be thrown away or given away, but my hand does not rise. My treasures! :-) But we will discuss the topic of throwing away in more detail, and today we will talk about how not to get completely bogged down in a pile of clothes and shoes, and organize all this. I searched the sites and found different ideas storage of things. And also I will try to answer the questions that popped up in that post. I will not help with only one, money for new wardrobe and big apartment I won’t lend, who would give it myself :-)

Organize the space, sooooo big post with large quantity pictures:

1. All things on hangers and at the same time, so that each on its own, in no case in layers - this, of course, is an ideal, unattainable for many. But if there is such an opportunity, it is better to hang everything, even topics. At the same time, it is good that the hangers are equally thin, so you can save space. The only thing is jackets, jackets, it is better to choose special hangers for them, otherwise things will lose their shape. There are some knitted heavy things that are best stored on a shelf so that they do not stretch out, but they are a minority. There are such hangers, they will save a little space in the closet, and at the same time things remain in sight.

Hangers and hooks for scarves and belts:

In order to prevent things from slipping off the hanger, you can stick this tape:

If possible, hang a hanger bar in two rows, hang skirts, trousers, jeans on the lower bar, blouses, tops, sweaters, cardigans on the upper bar. And sort it all by type of clothing, blouses to blouses, trousers to trousers. Plus, do not forget to leave room for long things and do not make a bar under them: dresses, maxi skirts, coats, raincoats will go here.

You can also sort by capsules, in one corner everything is for sports, in the other - for the office, in the third - rest, if there is a clear division of things into different categories, of course.

You can also sort by color, and I thought about this option for myself, but I realized that this would not help me much in choosing clothes in the morning. Especially since there is a tendency to reduce the number of colors in my closet, I come to the conclusion that 2-3 basic and 2-3 bright colors in the closet are enough. It is not necessary that the closet look like a rainbow. All the same, then there is nothing to wear half with.

2. Pull-out shelves are very convenient. The main thing is not to put small things there, such as underwear and socks, when the shelf is extended, they will fall back onto the shelf a level lower. I have three stacks of things on my shelf, two in front and one across the back, usually things for the next season in the back. That is, if it is summer in the yard, then there are T-shirts, tops, thin sweaters, T-shirts in front, and thicker sweaters, woolen things in the back.

3. Laundry is better to put in drawers. Socks, tights, stockings can be stored in pull-out baskets. Immediately after washing, I sort the knee-highs and socks and roll them into a ball in pairs, otherwise you won’t find it later, you can use the dividers, both built-in and those in the last two pictures from Ikea.

4. When it’s really bad with the place, that is, it makes sense to completely remove things from the closet until the next autumn-winter, for example, or spring-summer. You can put things in drawers with zippers and put them under the bed.

The main thing is to understand what things you absolutely do not need. Down jackets, fur coats and other warm clothes can be safely removed for the summer, but a warm cardigan can come in handy on a cold summer evening, so it can be folded second row on a shelf.
Rescue also vacuum bags, they are good for storing things that are large or small, pregnant things, if you plan to return to them. You can also go out of fashion there, in 30 years a daughter or son will get it and they will be "vintage" :-)

5. Shoes can be stored in boxes, they can be in transparent ones so that you can see what is in them, you can glue photos on ordinary boxes.

Can be stored on shelves, but it does not seem practical to me, and the sizes of the shoes are different, and not the best for boots the best option, and not particularly hygienic, it is better to put bags in such niches.

More options:

The shoes that are worn now are laid out in our special cabinet for shoes in the hallway. Often in such cabinets there is a place for one row of shoes, it is better to buy with two at once.

Shoe cabinet 2:

Other hallway options:

Boots storage:
With this method of storage, boots are likely to be deformed.

But from the "do it yourself" series. In the picture below, inserts in boots made of wood. Then these metal skins were unscrewed from them at the base and the hook was screwed in:

And here's what happened:

6. It is better to make a wardrobe right up to the ceiling, especially if there is not a lot of space in the room, you can always put summer / winter blankets upstairs, we store some of the shoes that are rarely needed, a picnic blanket, small suitcases.

The perfect men's wardrobe :-)

7. It would be nice to have a chest of drawers in addition to the closet. Pull-out shelves can be used for linen, jewelry, ties, scarves, scarves, socks and other little things that are constantly lost in the closet. By the way, it's a nice idea to line the bottom of the boxes with gift paper.

8. It is inconvenient and too lazy to usually lean to the very bottom of the closet, so I store there bed sheets, towels, again boxes with shoes " thin layer"and some things that seem to be out of season, but can come in handy, just the case of a warm cardigan in summer time. You can also store various drawers and drawers with small things there.

9. Bags can be stored both outside the cabinet and inside it. For example, you can hang something like this on outer wall closet or inside. But this option is only suitable for bags that are used quite often (otherwise they will gather dust), and if the bags are fabric. Leather ones will quickly lose their shape, the handles will stretch, especially if the bag is heavy.

It is better to store bags on shelves, placing them vertically in a row, you can come up with dividers. I want to move all the bags in the hall closet when we move. Because more than once it happened that you seemed to get dressed, put on shoes and you understand that you need a different bag, and the bag is in the bedroom in the closet, there is no desire to go after it. So, I think the place for shoes and bags in the hallway, if space allows.

10. For things that have already been worn once, you can buy just such a thing.

I dream of a tailor's mannequin to hang clothes on the next day. So I will have a look at the image from the side, and then in the mirror one thing, and then in the photo - another. Have you noticed this?

You can collect outfits for several days in advance and hang them together, for this there are very interesting design solutions outside the closet.

Options for children:

11. It is good to use signs, pictures, sign, hang photos of outfits on the cabinet doors to organize the space.

12. There is a mass creative solutions jewelry storage:

13. If the closet is really small and there is still some space in the room, then you can use these storage options, in addition to the usual rod on wheels:

This is not the most convenient solution, but why not, if there is simply no free wall for a closet in the room.

Clutter can have a significant effect on your mood, and it's no secret that chaos is one of the main causes of stress, and sometimes even depression. Fortunately, the solution to this problem lies on the surface - organize your bedroom space and keep it, like the rest of the rooms, clean and tidy!

Steps

Part 1

Tidy up the room

    Collect all the things that are lying on the floor. Try to sort them by focusing on clothes, books, fabrics, magazines, shoes, documents, and anything else that is out of place. Remember that the first step towards proper organization spaces in the bedroom - get rid of the mess that you yourself have created.

    • After cleaning, the only things that touch the floor in your bedroom should be pieces of furniture. This step is extremely important - removing all things from the floor, you will spend much less time and effort cleaning the room.
  1. Find boxes for items you need, as well as items you plan to throw away. As soon as you completely free the floor, try to decide which of the collected things you would like to keep, and which ones you would not mind throwing away.

  2. Part 2

    Organize your bedroom space

      Divide your storage spaces into organized sections. Sort things on the shelves and in the closet, putting them in neat piles. Thus, you will not only prevent clutter, but you will also be able to make better use of the limited space on the shelves or in the closet.

      • Take care of the space for storing shoes. It can be a separate shelf, drawer or organizer for shoes, which is convenient because it can be hung on the wall.
      • Think about additional places where you can store clothes. For example, great choice there will be plastic containers, wicker baskets and even food boxes, which are very convenient to store off-season items or small items such as socks, scarves and underwear.
      • Nail on the walls beautiful hooks, which you can hang bags and belts on so that they do not lie in piles on the floor.
    1. To keep the drawers organized, use special dividers for things. If you choose to store your socks, ties, underwear and t-shirts in this way, you will no longer have to panic rummage through a pile of things, trying to find the right one.

      Try not to put a large electronic equipment– such as a computer, printer or network antenna. Due to the presence of many cables and wires, you expose yourself to danger, increasing the risk of fire. In addition, such objects greatly clutter up the space, and you can very easily stumble.

      • A desk also helps you make the best use of space - drawers are great for storing your keyboard and printer. And by hanging a small shelf above the computer, you can keep files and documents in order.
      • To hide power cords from prying eyes, you can hide them in a drawer by drilling small holes.
      • Tie the cords with textile Velcro or electrical tape. Always mark them with a piece of tape so you can tell where each cord goes without untying all the others.
    2. Set aside a place to charge all your electronics. Put all small electronics (phone, camera, tablet) in a dedicated place along with chargers.

    3. Come up with labels to mark where things are stored. If you're still forgetting where to put things after cleaning, or the habit of maintaining order has not yet fully developed, these tags will come to your rescue at any time.

      • Thus, not only will it be easier for you to remember where you need to put things - labels will also become an additional incentive to maintain order.
      • You should not spend money on expensive labels - ordinary self-adhesive stickers or adhesive tape are quite suitable for this purpose.
      • If you're using packing boxes to store electronics or knick-knacks, make sure each box has a tag. Thanks to this, you do not have to constantly look inside if you forget what is in which box.
    4. Use non-standard places to store things. To keep a room clean, it is not enough just to stuff everything in a closet! There are many other ways to keep a room tidy and keep everything in its place without the help of a closet, for example:

      • Pull-out baskets or drawers under the bed that can store towels, linens and blankets.
      • The space on the bookshelves can be used for photo frames or figurines.
      • Hanging a small hanger near your door will stop you from wanting to throw your coat on the bed at the end of the day.
      • By placing small interesting things between the books on the bookshelf, you will add a “zest” to the interior, as well as ensure order on the bookshelf.
    5. Get rid of furniture that takes up too much space, as well as those that you don't use at all. Stand in the middle of a cleaned room and look around at all the furniture. Perhaps you have bedside tables or chairs that are already for a long time hopelessly waiting for their "finest hour", occupying most of free space. Or maybe you realize that your bed is too small or too big for you. Think, maybe other pieces of furniture will bring much more benefit.

      • Walk around the room to see how easy it is for you to move between furniture. If there is too little distance between the bed and the table, or the door and the bedside table, think about it - it might be worth buying more suitable furniture? If at the moment you do not have such an opportunity, you can try moving pieces of furniture in order to free up more space.

Why is it important to find a place for every thing in an apartment, what is a working triangle and .... About this and other important components of an ergonomic apartment - in our article.

This article is intended for persons over 18 years of age.

Are you over 18 already?

The organization of space in the apartment is not only a matter of taste. Of course, each of us chooses the filling for his home, based on his own preferences: one loves only ultra-modern models, the other - retro style; someone is chasing high-tech innovations, while someone chooses simple proven brands; someone wants to make an apartment look like from the cover of a design magazine, but for someone there is nothing nicer than napkins tied by a grandmother for a TV. We are united, perhaps, in one desire: our living space should be comfortable, aesthetic and safe. In other words, ideal. Ergonomics help make it so.

What is ergonomics

Ergonomics is a science that studies the interaction of a person and other elements of a system to ensure a prosperous existence. The organization of a comfortable space is only one of the sides of her interests. Ergonomics is based on five principles:

  • efficiency;
  • comfort;
  • safety;
  • accessibility and ease of use;
  • aesthetics.

Ergonomics uses a lot of knowledge about the human being, its anatomy and psychology, to create a harmonious, comfortable and safe home, in which every detail is thought out and which at the same time satisfies the aesthetic feelings of the owner. Ergonomics in design, for example, is reflected in the “functional minimalism” style that is now popular in Europe, which involves the use of only the most necessary items furniture and other interior components.

Let's talk about how to most effectively apply this science when arranging your apartment.

No matter what they say, but the kitchen is a real place of power in the house, a place where the whole family gathers together, where guests are brought. Alas, in typical Russian apartments, the kitchen sometimes takes no more than five square meters, and in popular last years studio apartments, it is completely combined with a residential area. It would seem that there is no time for ergonomics - to accommodate the entire necessary furniture. However correct zoning room space and rationalization of the placement of equipment in the room where food is cooked and eaten, will save up to 30% of your time and reduce the distance traveled by half.

For the kitchen, the concept of a working triangle is relevant. Its first corner points to the stove (cooking area), the second - to the sink (washing area), the third - to the refrigerator (storage area). Based on this principle, furniture in the kitchen can be placed different ways. For example, if the kitchen is narrow or absent altogether (as in studio apartments), the zones can be arranged linearly - in one row with the sink in the center, on small kitchen would be appropriate angular arrangement(in the form of the letter L), and for large spaces, you can use a parallel arrangement.

Things to consider:

  • the distance between zones should not be less than 1.2 meters and not more than 2.7 meters;
  • the total amount of distances should be 4-8 meters;
  • the width of the passages must be at least 60 centimeters;
  • hanging elements should be placed at a level of 1.5 meters from the floor;
  • for a person to be comfortable at the table, he needs about 60 square centimeters of space.

Home office is optional separate office, it is quite possible to get by with the allocation of a certain isolated zone in the room where the desktop will stand. The ergonomics of the workplace suggests that when creating an environment, human health and comfort will come first. Therefore, for the space where you will be doing work, choose a quiet and bright area.

It is important to observe following conditions workplace organization:

  • choose comfortable chair: the width and depth of the seat is about 40 centimeters, the legs should be freely located on the floor so that the foot forms an angle of 90 degrees with the calf;
  • a good table should be 74 centimeters high, and the countertop area should not be less than 1.2 meters;
  • items that you often use should be in the coverage area of \u200b\u200bhands (35-40 centimeters);
  • lighting must be chosen so that the body does not cast a shadow on the work surface;
  • appliances and shelves must be within reach.

Bathroom Ergonomic Features

Let's talk about the bathroom. In typical apartments, very little space is allocated for it, often it is connected to a toilet. What is important to consider when zoning a bathroom:

  • there should be at least 55 centimeters of space in front of the sink so that you can bend over freely;
  • the optimal height of the washbasin is 80-110 centimeters;
  • ideally, there should be at least 75 centimeters of free space between each piece of plumbing and the walls;
  • the shower cabin must be at least 30 centimeters from the sink;
  • holder toilet paper should be located at a distance of no more than 30 centimeters from the toilet.

Ergonomics of the hallway

Another room that forms the apartment is the entrance hall. It links all the rooms or zones in the house together. It is in view of its dimensions that it is important to carefully approach its layout. What do we take into account:

  • opening side interior doors: if they open into the room, a passage of 90-100 centimeters will be enough in the hallway, but if they open into the corridor, feel free to leave 1.4 meters of space for maneuver;
  • in narrow hallway do not place tall cabinets - opt for shelves and chests of drawers;
  • the minimum distance between the wall and the cabinet is 95-100 centimeters;
  • when placing furniture with drawers leave at least 75 centimeters of space in reserve;
  • the key holder should be 50-100 centimeters from the door to the apartment.

5 mistakes when organizing space in the house

As you can see from this article, the ergonomics of a place requires a deliberate approach. Alas, no one is immune from missteps. Pay attention to the five, in our opinion, the most common mistakes when organizing space in a home.

1. Substitution of the main

The thought of converting the surrounding space to suit their needs makes some people want to go to the store for all kinds of boxes, shelves, hangers, hooks and so on. After such shopping, all noble impulses, as a rule, end. We find a hole in our budget, and in the apartment there are many new things with incomprehensible functionality that we do not use.

This approach is fundamentally wrong! You need to start organizing space with a plan. Think about what you want to achieve from the updated premises, look for design options on the Internet and magazines, draw a plan, and revise existing things. Perhaps the available resources will be enough to implement your ideas. But if not, going to the store for something is the last thing you need. Be sure to write a clear shopping list before you go there.

2. Passion for "origami"

This, of course, is not at all about the traditional Japanese art creating paper sculptures. Starting to organize the surrounding space, we are overly fond of folding and folding things. Immediately after putting things in order, a shelf or drawer looks beautiful, but keep in mind that, for example, you will get clothes from the closet daily and hardly always, especially after a long labor day, you will be ready to just as carefully return everything to its place. Think about how to make it as convenient and fast as possible to take and return things to their usual place.

3. Five-year plan at three years

Leave this Soviet slogan of history. The ergonomics of the space requires thorough approach. Divide your home into zones and calculate how much time you can devote to cleaning per day or per week. Do not try to remake the entire architecture of the apartment for yourself in one day - this is irrational.

4. Everything is mixed up in the house

The organization of the workplace, and the organization of the space as a whole, is not least the search for the optimal location for each thing. It should be located where it is most needed and where it will not be difficult to find it when needed. Assign such places to things and do not store things of different categories in one place.

5. Points of no return

It is not in vain that we pay so much attention in this text to the need to find its place for each thing. A convenient location will help you always return the used item to where it is stored. If this is not done, sooner or later the mess will return to your apartment.

Life in a small apartment sometimes, it would seem, leaves us no chance for creativity. However, this article will prove how easy and simple it is to mold a dream from handy tools and create a space around you that will make you happy and your home comfortable and original.

What could be nicer than sitting on a flooded sunlight balcony and sip freshly brewed coffee. Best start day. Moreover, by moving a table to the balcony, you can free up space in the apartment for something else.

2. Let's transform the pantry

Usually washing machine and other devices take up a lot of space. You can correctly arrange everything in the pantry, creating a small laundry room there.

In order to put in order all kinds of albums, coloring books and pencils, it is enough to organize such an inexpensive, but very functional table for your children.

If there is no place in the apartment for your own desktop, you can put it anywhere. If he climbed into the pantry, then that's where he belongs.

If you really love flowers, and growing them in a small apartment is not possible - use the balcony, create your own garden there.

If you live in a studio apartment, it can sometimes be very difficult to tell where one room begins and another ends. To properly divide the space, it is enough to use large pieces of furniture instead of walls.

If for your small room an ordinary bedside table seems too bulky, use something lighter and more versatile.

Why not combine the table and bookshelf to create a more functional workplace?

9. You can attach kitchen utensils according to the same principle as it is done in the garage. And you have one more box

Anyone who has ever experienced this knows how difficult it is to decorate a small bedroom. Difficult, but not without options.

What to do if the room is the width of a pantry? There is an exit. Bright hues walls will make the room visually wider.

Even the most small angle in the apartment can be equipped to good use. So, for example, you can transform a useless corner in the living room into a workplace.

Do you have an extra closet? Don't rush to throw it away. You can easily place anything in it, defusing crowded things in another place.
