The location of the ceiling lights on the tension. What is the best way to place lighting fixtures on the ceiling. Features of the use of recessed fixtures on stretch ceilings

And chandeliers, it is necessary, of course, to choose a scheme for their location. There are many nuances in this matter, and if you do not want to take them into account, improper placement will negatively affect the interior of the rooms, the quality of illumination and even energy consumption. It should also be noted here that each of the rooms has its own requirements for the location of the chandelier and spots. Next, we will tell you how to arrange the lamps on the ceiling, providing some tips, diagrams and photo examples.

Basic placement rules

So, the first thing you should know about is the requirements for the location of lighting fixtures. In order for the light to be of high quality and as efficient as possible, it is recommended to place products according to the following rules:

  1. The minimum distance from the edge of the wall to the spotlights on the ceiling should be 20 cm.
  2. need strictly in the center of the ceiling. If this is a studio, it is better to place it in the middle of a certain area (living room or kitchen), starting from the interior of the room.
  3. In the case of stretch ceilings, the distance from recessed fixtures to the PVC film seam must be at least 15 cm.
  4. One spot can illuminate no more than 2 m 2 of the room. It is better to proceed from the fact that one product will provide sufficient illumination of 1.5 m 2.
  5. If you decide to organize a symmetrical placement of ceiling lighting fixtures, make sure that the products are installed as much as possible at the same distance in relation to each other and the walls.

As for the norms for the location of lamps relative to windows, no one specifically stipulates this moment. In relation to the window openings, you can place the products as you like. The main thing is that the lighting zone should be as efficient as possible, i.e. light fell on some objects.

The best layouts

To date, when designing lighting on the ceiling, the following options for the location of spots and chandeliers are used:

Additionally, spotlight placement schemes are shown on the video:

Beautiful ideas for the location of lamps

Each way of arranging spotlights is unique in its own way and is not suitable for absolutely every room. That is why below we will provide photo examples of the placement of lighting fixtures for all rooms in an apartment / house: kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room and even a corridor. During the reviews of each specific layout option, we will also indicate with the appropriate number which scheme is best for arranging the fixtures.

Photo examples of lighting

Corridor

Since the corridors are often in apartments (especially in Khrushchevs) of a not very convenient layout - long and narrow, L-shaped or small square, the placement of lamps on the ceiling in this room is purely individual. In rectangular and long hallways, it is recommended to place spots along plasterboard ceiling centered or symmetrically opposite each other. You can see examples of the location of products in the photo and pictures below:

Kitchen

In the kitchen, it is recommended to place the chandelier over dining table, and in working area make the backlight spotlights. Most current schemes in this case, 2, 5, 8 and 9. Pay attention to the placement of lighting fixtures in a zigzag pattern. We recommend using this layout option so that the spots illuminate only the most necessary kitchen areas, bypassing cabinets, hoods, etc.

Hall

In the hall, you can place spotlights as you like - a chandelier in a circle, in the corners of a square, an oval in the center of the ceiling, and even a rhombus. You can do without a chandelier by choosing the location of the ceiling spots around, which will allow you to make a subdued lighting in the living room. We advise you to pay special attention to scheme No. 5 - it will be comfortable for watching movies, because. will allow you to delimit the room into dark and illuminated zones.

If you do not know how to place spotlights with a chandelier on the ceiling and at the same time you do not have special requirements for placement, we advise you to opt for scheme 6, which is a classic of the genre for the hall. Also, for reading books, you can place a sconce on the wall above the sofa.

Bedroom

In the bedroom, bright lighting is not needed at all, therefore, here you can think about whether a chandelier is needed at all. In modern bedroom interiors, there are more and more built-in and overhead spotlights, which are placed in a circle or oval. It is also recommended to arrange the spots in a zigzag or checkerboard pattern to give the ceiling lighting some zest. For reading, you can place a sconce over the bed, which will be quite enough.

Children's

Since the nursery is most often divided into 2 zones: for study and sleep, it is recommended to place lighting according to scheme 9. Spotlights can be installed above desk to make this area brighter, and use a chandelier for general illumination. Rest

Repairs in Moscow must be taken seriously. The lighting of any room plays a primary role in creating a cozy interior. A well-chosen arrangement of fixtures on a stretch ceiling will not only please the eye, but will also be able to perform the quite serious task of dividing the area into conditional zones, creating a visual effect of expanding the space of the room. For you to see for yourself, we will show you some typical examples of luminaire layouts and share good decisions in the matter of lighting different rooms.

The choice of spotlights for location on a stretch ceiling

Before you start planning the location of fixtures on a stretch ceiling, you should carefully consider what kind of lighting sources you need.

On the stretch ceilings You can use several types of devices:

Stretch ceilings will serve you for a long time subject to a number of conditions:

  • The temperature of the lamps during operation should not exceed sixty degrees, otherwise the ceiling material deteriorates.
  • Light bulb power up to 35 watts.
  • Light should be reflected in mirror surfaces.
  • The presence of sharp parts that can damage the ceiling material during installation is unacceptable.

The design with moving parts looks original, thanks to which you can focus the lighting on the desired object or area of the room. Such a device will help to zone the room.

It is better if the spot has a wide border, it will help to hide the installation structure.

Considering a chandelier as a lighting device for a stretch ceiling, you will have to take into account such details as the coating material, the type of lamp and the individual characteristics of the room. So, for example, for matte surface appliances are better classical form, and for glossy you can experiment by choosing any original model. The effect of reflection in the form of bright light spots will be created on the ceiling by chandeliers with open LED bulbs. They can be placed directly under the canvas, they will not harm it, because they do not emit heat.

Ceiling lamps at the chandelier should ideally hide the lamps, and if they are located too close to the ceiling, then this will be a prerequisite.

When choosing halogen bulbs for a chandelier, place it no closer than thirty centimeters from the ceiling. For a lighting fixture with this type of lamp, the shades should be directed downwards.

Have you decided on the light sources? Now let's calculate their number.

How to calculate the number of elements for the correct and beautiful arrangement of fixtures on a stretch ceiling

Before drawing a diagram of the location of spotlights on a stretch ceiling, calculate the number of required devices. Focus on standards. For different types of premises, they will not be the same - in the utility rooms you do not need bright lighting, but in places for work and leisure - on the contrary. You will see the lighting standards in the table, the unit of measurement is lux.

Norms of illumination per square meter for different types of premises:

We calculate the number of devices according to the following algorithm:

  • First you need to determine the total power. To do this, the area of the room should be multiplied by the illumination standard according to SNiP.
  • After that, you need to find out the luminous flux of light sources. The lamp power table below will help you with this.
  • We calculate the number of light bulbs as follows: divide the total power by the power of the lamps. Everything is ready to build the layout.

Let's analyze an example of calculating the number of lamps on the ceiling using this algorithm. We need a lighting scheme for a kitchen 5 × 4 m. We will mount LED bulbs with a power of 2 W, giving a luminous flux of 200 lumens (lm) each. We believe:

  • The kitchen area is 20 m 2 multiplied by 150 lux (see SNiP). 20 * 150 = 3000 lux. This is the minimum total luminous flux from all light fixtures.
  • Next, we calculate the quantity: the resulting number is divided by the luminous flux of the lamps. 3000 lx: 200 lm = 15 pieces This means that for a kitchen of 20 m 2 you will need 15 LED lamps of this power.

Calculation according to SNiP standards provides a fairly bright light. In fact, such standard lighting is sometimes not satisfactory. For example, in the hall you may want a slightly muffled, warm light. This situation can be corrected by choosing the layout of the fixtures at the top: it is better if the possibility of alternating lighting is planned.

For this purpose, the bulbs are divided into groups. At least two, in which case they can be connected to one line through one and output to two-gang switch. In this case, you can turn on the lamps through one, so that the light will be dimmed, or both lines - then the brightness will be maximum. Depending on your desire, you can more groups of lighting devices, for this you will have to bring them out in separate lines to the switches and use them according to the situation.

Minimum distance between luminaires on a stretch ceiling

When mounting lighting devices on the ceiling, be sure to consider not only the power of the lamps, but also their location in relation to the walls. If a row of lamps is placed closer than 20 cm from the wall, then the latter is likely to overheat.

If we talk about distance, then the main thing is not to violate the minimum gaps between devices and neighboring objects.

It is important not to forget that the smallest distance between built-in ceiling lights is 30 cm. Be sure to follow this rule when developing a layout of light sources on the ceiling.

Popular layouts of luminaires on a stretch ceiling in combination with a chandelier

Consider various options location of spotlights on a stretch ceiling. If you chose a chandelier as the main light source, then place it in the middle on the diagram. This will be the central point relative to which the entire drawing is built. It does not matter which line of light bulbs will be on the diagram, the chandelier should only be in the center. With point devices, you can build various shapes around the chandelier. So, for example, diagrams 3 and 6 show the location of 10 lamps on a stretch ceiling with a chandelier in the center.

In small rooms, you can arrange light sources according to the first two schemes. If uniform lighting is desirable in the room, then choose scheme No. 1 or No. 4. They are similar to each other: in the central part - the main light (chandelier), in the corners there are additional light bulbs that contribute to more uniform lighting. For larger rooms in the corners, three additional light sources each (diagram 4), in a small room there is enough for one light bulb each (diagram 1).

The asymmetric arrangement of devices will help to visually change the size of the room. For example, narrow room can be visually moved apart by means of scheme No. 5, placing a backlight along a short wall.

Scheme No. 2 is quite often used for lighting in the kitchen, subject to linear placement. kitchen set parallel to one of the walls, above it and have a backlight. Scheme No. 9 can also be implemented in the kitchen if the set is angular. In a similar way, you can zone a part of the kitchen, thereby highlighting a place for eating, or rooms for relaxing or working.

In schemes 5, 6, 10 you see a semicircle, circles and ovals. This type of arrangement of lamps on the ceiling can be found quite often. Rounded lines have a positive effect on the human psyche, so such schemes are used for bedrooms, children's rooms, halls.

Arrangements for fixtures on a stretch ceiling without a chandelier

Don't use a chandelier? You are welcome! Built-in light sources on the ceiling allow even more scheme variations. With a slight difference that, as a rule, all fixtures will be divided into groups. varying degree illumination will allow zoning the room. In the diagrams, the grouping of lamps is indicated by color. Of the presented, the simplest layout of 12 fixtures on a stretch ceiling (leftmost in the top row).

Please note that different switches can control lighting different zones. The first diagram in the 3rd row shows, for example, the location of 6 luminaires on a stretch ceiling of a brighter zone and 4 luminaires of a subdued zone.

In a room, it is often required to allocate one or more zones. And this can be taken into account by using lamps of different power or by placing an unequal number of lamps over each zone. For example, it is better to increase the level of illumination above a table with a workplace, and, on the contrary, to muffle it, make it softer in a relaxation corner above a sofa or ottoman. So, above the place where it is planned to place the table, we increase the number of lamps, and above the sofa you can reduce or even remove it.

Options for the location of fixtures on a stretch ceiling in different rooms

Of course, there can be no standard schemes for different rooms. When developing a placement plan for spotlights, both the purpose of the room and the layout of the room should be taken into account. We will present you options for the location of fixtures on a stretch ceiling (photo below) for different rooms. In the kitchen, it is recommended to divide the entire space into separate sections, allocating places for cooking and a dining area. In a kitchen with a small area, it will be enough to install only spotlights.

  1. If you want to visually increase the space by kitchen, then it is better to place the devices evenly in 3 lines along the room: the first group of lamps is exactly in the center, and the other two are at the edges of the ceiling. An additional bonus with this scheme will be uniform lighting without shadows. With a low ceiling, it is better to use lamps with swivel mechanism. To highlight the most important parts of the room, we recommend taking the zigzag pattern as a basis.

  2. If you are the owner of a kitchen with a large area, then it would be nice to make a chandelier as a central lighting device. In this case, additional light sources are located in various variations as it will be convenient for you. For example, you can make the illumination of a place for cooking, dining area. Often, lamps are placed around the entire perimeter of the ceiling or along the kitchen set. All this does not interfere with additional lighting. working surface by placing the devices on the bottom of the headset.

  3. Hall- the most a large room apartments. The whole family and guests gather here. The space of the room can be emphasized right design. And in the first place in this matter, of course, is light. Requirements for the level of illumination of the hall are increased in comparison with other rooms. A large chandelier with many lamps will look beautiful in the center of the ceiling. And spotlights along the walls will play the role of additional illumination or a source of romantic subdued light when the main device is turned off.

  4. Spotlights in the living room are placed not only around the perimeter. Lamps can create a wide variety of fantasy patterns using curved, rounded lines, circles, ovals. Geometric shapes can frame the space around the chandelier or be grouped along the edges of the ceiling.

Not everyone likes a chandelier in the living room. Lovers of a romantic atmosphere or apartment owners with low ceiling in principle, you can do without it. Spotlights, evenly distributed along the ceiling, will illuminate the entire room. If you want to break the living room into zones, you can group them in the right places. By playing with the number of lamps of a certain power, you can create light and dark zones. In the photo you see the location of the fixtures on the stretch ceiling in the hall.

  5. Bedroom, as a place for relaxation, as a rule, does not require bright lighting. The color scheme of the interior is close to pastel. soft, warm colors walls and ceilings can emphasize the light light emanating from spotlights. Lamps in the room for sleeping and relaxing try to choose the same shape and size and place them evenly along the ceiling or around the perimeter. Chandelier option allowed small sizes, in this case, the lamps are installed around it.

  6. To illuminate the bedroom, it will be more convenient to use a light dimmer. The dimmer will allow you to achieve the desired level of brightness, with its help you can separately control groups of light bulbs and a chandelier.

The combination of a chandelier and spotlights around the perimeter of the sleeping room will visually expand the space.

  7. In the children's room it is better to create a soft light without glare. In this regard, powerful light bulbs and mirror surfaces most likely not needed here. As a rule, the nursery is conditionally zoned into two parts: for classes and for recreation. The most used scheme is the location of spotlights above the surface of the table for lessons. Targeted lighting will create optimal conditions to preserve reading vision. You can also use a chandelier for general light in the nursery. Below are original solutions location of spotlights on a stretch ceiling.

  8. The baby needs a nightlight. Often it is mounted to the wall. But this is not the only option. Modern developments of designers demonstrate the wide possibilities of creating a fabulous atmosphere for a child from magical flowers to a real starry sky. When the baby grows up, a carefully thought-out layout of lamps will not bore him and will not lose its relevance.

  9. Sometimes apartments are equipped with stretch ceilings and in corridor. In such a room, first of all, it is worth considering its small area and feature. It doesn't have window openings with natural light. All the load falls only on the lamps. On the other hand, the space of the corridor narrows due to the placement of pieces of furniture for storing things in it.
  10. Therefore, the main task of light in such a specific room is visual magnification room volume. Here you should pay attention to the choice of material for the stretch ceiling. It is better to use a monochrome glossy PVC film for such a room. Point light fixtures should be placed in one or parallel lines along the edges of the ceiling, directing the light onto the walls. The number of lamps for the corridor is usually small, but sometimes for a unique design project their number may be higher. One of the photos shows the arrangement of 8 lamps on a stretch ceiling. Perfect solutionfluorescent lamps that will create an effect soft light.

The light in the corridor can be divided into main and additional. As a first, it is good to use a device with a matte cap. And then with spotlights you can create additional lighting in the area of the mirror and hangers.

  11. The trend is to use a stretch ceiling in bathroom. But limited space allows you to install a minimum of lamps. But you can play well on mirror reflections. This will help glossy surfaces tiled walls, mirrors, chrome parts. All these elements, combined with a stretch fabric, will create the effect of free space.
  12. The traditional scheme for the bathroom involves a uniform arrangement of four to eight light bulbs along the ceiling. It is preferable to use rounded devices.

An important condition for fixtures in the bathroom is their protection from water. In this matter, the leader is halogen lamps. On the one hand, they give a bright light and at the same time they are not afraid of high humidity. location line ceiling lights on the stretch ceiling in the bathroom can be in the form of various geometric shapes: diamonds, squares, arbitrary curves, zigzags. It all depends on your preferences.

How to install spotlights on a stretch ceiling

Spot lighting fixtures for stretch ceilings differ in design:

  • Irreversible lamps are simple in execution. The light beam is directed along a straight path without the possibility of adjustment.
  • For rotary spots, the hull design is more complicated. Their installation will require more effort. But the complexity of the work will pay off by the fact that it will be possible to adjust the light. The direction of the light flux at the desired angle will create a focus of the rays in the required area.
  • open devices can be used in rooms with a normal level of humidity.
  • The design of closed devices is complicated additional protection from moisture, they can be used in damp rooms.

It is better to start the installation of spotlights with proper planning. At this stage you will need:

  1. mark on the surface of the ceiling the location of the fixtures in accordance with the diagram;
  2. designate the place of installation junction box and switch;
  3. based on the layout of lighting fixtures, develop a variant of laying wires, calculate the number of terminal blocks.
  4. take into account the presence of existing light sources in the room.

It remains to solve one more problem - to install the devices in the suspended ceiling structure.

To begin with, you will have to electric installation work, the essence of which is in laying the cable to the place of attachment of each device. After the chain preparatory work and the installation of the canvas, proceed to the final part - the installation of devices in the stretch ceiling. First, you will have to stick thermal rings directly on the film at the locations of the mounting brackets as a basis for mounting fixtures.

Then you will need to cut holes for the future lamp inside the pasted round profile. This should be done as accurately as possible so as not to violate the integrity of the coating.

After that, using the adjusting screws, we set the mounting racks flush with the surface ceiling covering, output the cable and connect the devices to the terminals. The design of the luminaire includes a heat-insulating ring, which is put on the body before installation. It serves to regulate the degree of heating. tension material ceiling and isolation of the device from the surface of the canvas.

When installing the PVC film on the ceiling surface, thread the wiring through the holes. To evenly fix the fixtures on the ceiling after their installation, you will need to adjust the devices, and only after that you can screw in all the bulbs and check the stretch ceiling for the quality of the lighting.

If recessed lights are installed correctly, the light will be bright enough and not annoying. At large area It is better to install a transformer on the surface of a stretch ceiling in order to save electricity and the possibility of using lamps designed for low current.

For tension and suspended ceilings predominantly use devices with hidden fasteners. Wires and device cases are placed in the space between the ceiling base and the coating material. Devices without unnecessary fasteners look very aesthetically pleasing.

7 main mistakes when placing spotlights on a stretch ceiling

  1. Different types of luminaires are not used (illumination levels are not created).
  2. The myth that there will be bright good light if you install a lot of lamps in a row does not justify itself.

If the ceiling light is the only one in the room, it probably won't be enough to achieve maximum comfort. Additional light sources are needed for a cozy environment, for example, next to an armchair or bed. And sometimes they are simply necessary, for example, at a desk, if, of course, you protect your eyesight.

Modern features design expand functionality lighting. It becomes flexible from being static under the condition of using different types of lamps of different power. The inclusion of general (ceiling) lighting in the hall when receiving guests would be more appropriate. And when watching TV, additional lighting with the main off will turn your living room into a cozy cinema hall.

If, for example, you are an art connoisseur or collector and want to emphasize your pride, then use accent lighting. This technique will make familiar objects play in a new way and also visually increase the space.

  3. No dimmers are used (no light intensity control).
  4. Highly common mistake is the rejection of dimmers. The use of power regulators provides additional features traditional lighting. With their help, you can control the strength of the luminous flux, adjust the required degree depending on the time of day or just your mood. Watching a movie in a warm family circle is unlikely to be enjoyable in a room with too much light.

  5. Don't think about where the shadows fall.
  6. If the light source is located in the wrong place, then it will cause more trouble than pleasure.

For example, in the bathroom it is better to place two lamps on the sides of the mirror. One device on the ceiling will give unpleasant shadows on the face. If the area does not allow the installation of two lamps at the edges, the output will be in choosing a lamp elongated in the horizontal plane instead of a spotlight in one lamp.

Seriously approach the issue of lighting the workplace in the kitchen. Light should fall exactly on the surface where you cook food. With the location of the light source from the back, the shadow will constantly irritate. That is why the backlight is placed under the cabinets of the kitchen set, and not above it, in order to illuminate the working area as much as possible.

In the same way, you need to locally highlight the "island", if you have one.

By the same principle, the dining area is also equipped in such a way that the light source is located exactly in the center of the table at which they dine, and not to the side, otherwise the shadows can spoil the impression.

And in an office or office where there is only general ceiling lighting, you can correct the situation with a table lamp. Extra shadows in its coverage area will disappear, and nothing will threaten your vision.

  7. Choosing the wrong size lamp.
  8. Often, when buying a chandelier, we focus only on the overall impression of it. And only when using it, we realize that the size of the lighting device does not quite correspond to the dimensions of the room. The disproportion of a small lighting device in great hall or, conversely, a huge chandelier in a tiny room will cause discomfort.

Therefore, before going to the store for lighting fixtures, it is worth estimating the approximate size of the future purchase. After all, the sensations and the first impression in the huge illuminated hall of the shopping center can deceive you.

  9. The location of the fixtures at the wrong height.
  10. Another mistake is the height of the fixtures. You need to know that in the dining area, the distance from the lower edge of the chandelier to the floor should be about 1.6–1.8 meters. Too low a chandelier will dazzle and irritate the eyes. And a highly placed light source will not fulfill its main function of sufficient illumination of the table area. Your comfort directly depends on the height of the light fixtures.

  11. The color scheme of the premises was not taken into account.
  12. The color scheme of the room directly affects the overall impression of the level of illumination. Too much dark walls will create a feeling of lack of light even with a large number of lamps. Try to slightly change the color towards lighter tones, and you will feel the difference. The light will play in your room.

  13. The fact that the lamps consume energy is not taken into account.
  14. Naturally, devices for light consume energy. People switched to economical lamps, including LEDs. Energy conservation has become ubiquitous. By reducing your energy consumption, you save money. Reducing the cost of using electricity is especially important for large institutions and enterprises. But for the average consumer within the framework of the apartment, this issue is no less important.

Important components in human life are light and lighting. But according to scientists, different kinds Lighting affects people in different ways. The light of the lamps is bright and subdued, diffused and directed, creates a certain mood and causes various reactions in the body. Therefore, the creation universal system home illumination is an important task, the solution of which will positively influence the health and emotions of people.

Since stretch ceilings are currently in fashion, which have their advantages and disadvantages, let's talk about lighting and how to arrange chandeliers, lamps and spots.

Modern technologies and fashion trends led to the fact that spotlights have become a craze.

The luminaire market is flooded with a variety of models

This is reflected in the work of designers, many projects include various combinations of light sources. In addition to the variety of shapes and colors, lamps differ in light sources:

  • Traditional, with incandescent lamps.
  • With halogen lamps.
  • With fluorescent lamps.
  • LED.

A real boom in such lighting has brought many new ideas in design. Any modern interior already includes such lamps. In this regard, as they say today, everyone who wants to “be in trend” is recommended to replace central lighting hall and outdated lamps with modern light sources, especially if stretch ceilings are provided in the living room. Such lamps will give the hall a stylish and spectacular look, bring functionality.

For public spaces there are specific requirements for illumination and the type of light sources. These norms are determined by the purpose of the room, in accordance with which the appropriate illumination is selected, an example in the photo.

For residential buildings, the requirements for illumination are less. The choice of light sources, the layout of lamps and spots, as well as their power are determined by the owners themselves, based on their tastes and needs. You should only take into account the possibility, if necessary, to replace the wiring yourself.

Features of stretch ceilings

Similar designs are made from PVC films that have a variety of colors and certain properties. These characteristics of PVC films determine their advantages:

  • Convenience. stretched film hides all irregularities, solves issues with whitewashing or painting the ceiling.
  • Durability. The service life of the ceiling is 10-15 years, and often more.
  • Reliability and safety. The film ceiling can withstand a large amount of water spilled by neighbors from above.
  • Environmental friendliness. If the PVC film is made according to European standards(not Chinese cheap option), then such a ceiling is completely safe and harmless to health.
  • Reasonable cost. The total cost of materials and installation costs is comparable to other types of structures (drywall, rail).
  • Moisture resistance, which is very important for bathrooms, bathrooms and kitchens. PVC film is not affected by moisture and does not require regular tinting, like drywall.
  • Aesthetics. Selecting various shades and materials (except for the film, a fabric base is used for tensile structure), you can achieve a beautiful design of any room.

These are the main advantages of modern stretch ceilings. In addition, such designs make it easy to arrange light bulbs of different types, which gives housing comfort and coziness. It remains only to choose the right lighting fixtures and rationally arrange them to create the desired lighting (see photo).

Choice of lighting

When installing a stretch ceiling, you should first consider the wiring diagram and how to arrange the lamps and spots. The most common light sources are chandeliers, spotlights and LED lamps. They help to highlight the necessary areas in the room, emphasize the interior, illuminate any object. With their help, you can create an absolutely stunning design and atmosphere in the room, for example, as in the photo.

Magic ornament, or how to arrange light bulbs

important detail for the selection of lamps and the amount of light is the color of the canvas. Since designers often use a combination of colors, it is recommended to select both lamps and spots accordingly.

original and spectacular design can be obtained by competent placement of lamps, spots and chandeliers. To do this, consider the following:

  1. The purpose of the room, depending on whether it is a living room, an office or a nursery, the type of lamps is selected. The bedroom should be dimly lit, while the bathroom should be brightly lit.
  2. Natural light, which is determined by the number of windows. Dark rooms require additional light.
  3. Sizes and shapes of rooms. long and narrow corridor illuminated differently than a spacious and wide living room.
  4. Zoning. If the owners wish, certain parts of the rooms can be distinguished with a lighting solution.
  5. The desire to have a chandelier with many lamps that gives a lot of light, or limit yourself to local lamps or spots.

An example can be seen in the photo: a combination of a chandelier, spotlights and spotlights makes the interior festive and elegant.

Calculation of the required number of light sources

To achieve optimal lighting in a room, sometimes it is enough to get rid of an old dusty chandelier. But it is better to think over, based on your needs and desires of the household, a housing lighting system. Will LED lamps be enough, or should halogen lamps be installed? Incandescent or fluorescent lamps - the choice is entirely up to the owners, but it is advisable to observe the illumination, focusing on sanitary standards. Based on the average power of lamps, the recommendations state that one lamp or spot is enough for 1-2 m2 of living space. And for a room of 20-22 m2 there should be from 10 to 12 illuminators.

So, lamps with an outdoor location will give more illumination.

Outdoor spotlights

More convenient is the location of spotlights in the center of the room, if it is a living room or a nursery. Installation in the corner part is typical for bedrooms, kitchens and offices. The chaotic distribution of spotlights in combination with LEDs can give the feeling of a starry sky, as in the photo.

The color of the ceiling and the presence of color zones also affect the illumination and the required number of lighting fixtures. At light colors stretch ceiling can be installed fewer lamps than in the case of a dark color of the ceiling material.

The above number of fixtures is approximate, but for a comfortable feeling it is still better to follow these recommendations.

May be different. Each option is unique in its own way and tied to the functionality of the room. The most common schemes are shown in Figure 11.

Before installing the ceiling, it is imperative to choose one of the schemes in order to make the correct electrical wiring and arrange the lighting fixtures.

An incorrectly chosen scheme can have a bad effect on the feelings of people living in the apartment, bring discomfort and worsen the interior of the room. In addition, for each of the rooms there are certain requirements based on functionality.

Correct location lighting fixtures will allow you to hide the shortcomings of the room and turn them into virtues. With the help of lighting, the room can be visually expanded and made more elegant.

- on by and large a matter of taste. Look at our examples and choose the option for yourself.

The location of the fixtures on the stretch ceiling is not so difficult task even if this is your first time. Of course, it is better to think over the layout in advance - before installing the ceiling. Primarily you need to decide the main thing - the lamps will be the main light or just an addition to the chandelier.

Our task is to provide sufficient brightness of lighting and maximum flexibility in adjusting the level of illumination in different areas of the room. It is better to arrange the lamps on the stretch ceiling so that they illuminate the most necessary areas. Think about preserving vision before placing fixtures.

Pro tip:

If you want to significantly speed up with the lamps - draw with a pencil on the base ceiling the location of the lamps.

So you save time for installers and at the same time evaluate the location of the fixtures directly on the ceiling.

The location of the fixtures on the stretch ceiling photo

I suggest that you first look at how other customers arranged the lamps in the premises, perhaps this is one of “your” options.

How to arrange 10 fixtures on a stretch ceiling:

Lamps on the stretch ceiling in the living room, hall

In living rooms, probably, many still will not be able to completely abandon the usual chandelier and will make the lamps only a pleasant addition. You can highlight only some specific areas, in which directional light is needed, or put a line of lamps along the wall on which there are paintings or other decor that needs to be highlighted or emphasized.

Lamps on the stretch ceiling in the bedroom

In the bedroom, most often there is no need for bright light. Therefore, the soft light of energy-saving lamps will come in handy, but do not forget when buying that fluorescent energy-saving lamps can be with cold light and warm(the light from them, respectively, will be either cold white or warm yellowish).

Option with a chandelier in the bedroom(you can connect the chandelier and lamps to different phases):

Option without a chandelier in the bedroom- yellow lamps, respectively, one phase, blue - the other.

Lamps on the stretch ceiling in the nursery

Probably the most advantageous option is a clear division of the room with lamps connected into two phases into a play (training) zone and a comfort zone (where the bed is located).

Lamps on the stretch ceiling in the hallway

small hallways typical houses most often you want to increase, “raise” the ceiling in them. Perhaps ideal solution probably would be glossy ceiling with lower illumination, but since we are talking about lamps in the hallway, lamps with energy-saving lamps will be a good solution. Since in the hallways, as a rule, many have high wardrobes, wardrobes and everyone's favorite mezzanines - it is not always possible to lower the ceiling height by 7-10 cm. In this case, luminaires with energy-saving lamps are ideal for you, they are only 17 to 38 millimeters high - almost the thickness of the mounting profile.

Lamps on the stretch ceiling in the bathroom

In a small bathroom, you can’t really go wild with the location, so here is a standard square or a trio of lamps. As an option - the location of a rhombus in relation to the walls of four lamps, or diagonally - from corner to corner - three. When choosing luminaires for wet rooms do not forget about the tightness of light sources. As an option - lamps with a reduced voltage of 12 volts.

Designer Tip:

When marking spotlights on a stretch ceiling, take into account the following points:

1. The size of the room and its shape (or the shape of the stretch ceiling in which the lamps will be);
2. Location of windows (one, two, one wall, two walls);
3. Arrangement of furniture (taking into account further possible rearrangement);
4. Style of course!

How to calculate the number of fixtures

To calculate, you need to measure the sides of the room with a tape measure and calculate total area premises. The number of fixtures per 1 sq. m. area depends, of course, on the power of the lamps.

For halogen lamps and incandescent lamps with a power of 35-40 W, the standard calculation is - one lamp per 1.5 sq. m.

It will be easier for someone to master another rule - every 1 sq. m. area should be illuminated by a 20-watt lamp(minimum). Based on this, we count the squares, multiply by 20 and divide by the power of the lamp used.

For example: area 12 sq.m. x 20 = 240: 40 W (power of the lamp used) = 6 lamps minimum, 7-8 is better.

Expert advice:

To avoid melting of the stretch ceiling fabric, use in lamps halogen lamps with a power not exceeding 35 W, incandescent lamps with a power of not more than 40 W, energy-saving (fluorescent) and LED lamps - without power restrictions.

If you plan to install fixtures with energy-saving lamps, then keep in mind that one 13W energy-saving lamp is equal in illumination to a 40W incandescent lamp. Dimmers can be used with halogen and incandescent lamps- devices for smooth adjustment of light brightness.

With energy-saving lamps, this trick will not work. Brightness energy saving lamp will not change, if you try to adjust the lamp will turn off completely or fail.

In contact with

AT last years lighting of apartments and private houses has undergone major changes - it has become more complex constructively, but more convenient and functional. Modern room lighting rarely consists of only one chandelier hanging in the center. It may be, but there are also a number of additional light sources, most of them located on the ceiling. That's about what location of the fixtures on the ceiling to choose, and we will discuss further.

To choose the location of the fixtures on the ceiling, let's get acquainted with the types of lighting that are used in houses and apartments. On the ceiling there are lamps of different designs:

In addition, there are also wall table lamps, as well as floor lamps. Combining and combining different types of lamps, lighting fixtures and create modern lighting in the room.

What lamps can be used in recessed fixtures

Recessed ceiling lights are available with different bases. Under each base there are different lamps. When choosing them, it is necessary to focus on the required illumination and on the type of ceiling in which the lamps are built.

Tension threads have limitations: the fabrics and films that are used for them do not tolerate heat well. Therefore, halogen and fluorescent lamps (with a base) are placed on film stretch ceilings, the power of which is not more than 20 watts. You can also screw in incandescent lamps - no more than 40 watts. More powerful ones can be installed on fabric stretch ceilings: 35 W and 60 W, respectively.

Using this table, you can compare the efficiency of using lamps different type. But do not forget that the data here are given for "ideal operating conditions." In fact, everything is not so rosy, although not bad

There are more, but there are no restrictions on them, since they heat up many times less. Therefore, the choice here is only in form ( standard view flask, corn, unusual shapes), color temperature and brightness.

Light sources for illumination

When choosing the location of the fixtures on the ceiling, all light sources must be taken into account. And lighting too. She plays, for the most part. decorative role, but also contributes to the illumination.

For illumination, linear lamps are most often used. They are fluorescent, neon. LED linear lamps or are also used. The best way in this case - LEDs in any design. They have several advantages. The first is that they are more economical (they consume 3-4 times less electricity than the “housekeepers”), the second is more durable (though, subject to temperature regime), the third - they heat up much less than the others. They also have disadvantages: they require a lower voltage (24 V or 12 V) for power supply, and therefore, converters are needed. They also cost money, they need to be placed somewhere, and so that they are available for routine maintenance and repair. And one more minus - high price. But if you consider that their working resource is calculated in thousands of hours, then it turns out inexpensively.

If for some reason LEDs do not suit you, you will have to choose between fluorescent and neon lamps. Usually fluorescent ones are chosen, since installation and connection are simple and you can do it yourself without involving a specialist. Disadvantages - flickering light and "cold" glow.

Neon lamps look good in the backlight, but installing them is troublesome and not so easy to figure out. Therefore, they either invite specialists, or choose some other light sources.

Minimum distances

When placing lamps on the ceiling, it is necessary to take into account not only the power of the lamps, but also their distance from the walls. They also heat up, and therefore, if a row of lamps is located along the wall, then from no less than 20 cm. Otherwise, there is a danger of heating the walls too much.

It must also be remembered that the minimum the distance between recessed ceiling lights is 30cm. This is key moment, which must be taken into account when developing the layout of the fixtures on the ceiling.

How to calculate the number of fixtures

Before choosing the location of the fixtures on the ceiling, it is necessary to correctly calculate their number. Typically, calculations are based on standards. For different rooms they are different - in utility rooms(pantry, dressing room, etc.) less bright light is required, in living rooms - brighter. The current lighting standards are in the table, they are indicated in Lux.

The procedure for calculating the number of fixtures on the ceiling is as follows:

  • We multiply the area of the room by the norm of illumination. We get the total power of the required lighting.
  • Then you need to decide on the power of the light sources and their type, find out what kind of luminous flux they give out. For help, see the table below.
  • We divide the total power by the power of the lamps, we get their number. Then it's just a matter of choosing the scheme of their location on the ceiling.

To make it clearer, we present example of calculating the number of lamps on the ceiling. We are developing a lighting scheme for a living room with an area of 16 square meters. We will use LED lamps with a power of 2 watts. This is 200 Lux. Here is the calculation itself:

  • We consider the required luminous flux according to the norm: we multiply 16 squares by 150 Lx. 16 * 150 = 2400 Lux. That is, the total luminous flux from all light sources should not be less (or more).
  • Now we determine the quantity: we divide the resulting figure by the luminous flux of the lamps. 2400 Lx: 200 Lx = 12 pieces That is, 12 LED lamps of this power are enough for this entire room.

With such a norm, the lighting is quite bright, and sometimes you want a muffled, soft light. This must be taken into account when choosing the location of the fixtures on the ceiling: it is desirable to make it possible to vary the lighting. To do this, the lamps are divided into several groups. If there are two, then they are connected to one line through one and lead to a two-gang switch. In this case, you can turn on the lamps through one and there will be a dim light, or all - then everything will be flooded with light. If desired, you can divide the lamps into more groups, bring them separately to the switches and turn them on as desired or as needed.

General rules and trends

The location of the fixtures on the ceiling, first of all, is chosen based on the shape of the room and the presence / absence of other light sources and some other factors.

with chandelier

If the room is supposed to have a chandelier, it is usually located in the center. Relative to this point, the further composition is built. It can be symmetrical or asymmetrical, but the chandelier is always its starting point.

The first two schemes are suitable for small spaces. The first and fourth “levels” the illumination, since with a central location of a single light source, it is a bit dark in the corners. The difference is only in the size of the room: No. 1 for small ones, No. 4 for those that are larger.

Scheme No. 5 will help correct the visual perception of a long and narrow kitchen. If you place the backlight along the short side, visually it will become a little wider.

The second scheme is more often used in kitchens - with linear arrangement kitchen set - along one wall. Here along the headset and put additional light sources. Scheme No. 9 can also be used in the kitchen and also above the headset, but only if it is corner. Also, with the help of such placement of lamps, you can select a recreation area in the living room. Or, if the kitchen set has its own backlight, thus “illuminate” the dining area.

Schemes 5, 6, 10 use arcs, circles and ovals. This is also a fairly common type of location of fixtures on the ceiling. It fits well in bedrooms, living rooms, children's rooms, if they have a design style with a touch of romance.

Without chandelier

If the lighting is built only on built-in lighting fixtures, there are no less options. Perhaps even more. In this case, almost always making light sources into groups - for varying degrees illumination. In the diagrams, they are indicated by lamps. different colors(in the diagrams above, by the way, there are also a couple of diagrams with division into two groups).

As you can see, separate switches can turn on the lighting of different zones. Also a very interesting option.

It is worth considering the presence of different zones in the room. Often the zoning of the room is emphasized by lighting. For example, in an office, the standard of illumination is high. But this does not mean that the location of the fixtures on the ceiling should be uniform. The office usually has a seating area where there is an armchair, maybe a sofa. In this area, the light may be more subdued and softer, therefore, there may be fewer fixtures here. Above the table, on the contrary, it makes sense to concentrate them in larger numbers.

Ceiling spots in the interior: photos in different rooms

If you have not seen the location of the fixtures on the ceiling, it is quite difficult to imagine the result from the diagram. Even the most simple circuits- in the corners, in a semicircle near one of the walls, along opposite or adjacent walls - it is rather problematic to imagine. Moreover, the appearance varies significantly depending on the shape, size of the lamp, on the type of lamp selected for it. After all, there are they with different scattering angles - from narrowly directed (about 30-40 °) to luminous in different sides(120-180°). Therefore, in this section, we have collected photos of the schemes, and grouped them by type of premises, because the view also changes from the design.

Living room

In the living room, a chandelier is most often used, and most often it is quite large. If the room is square or close to a square, it makes sense to choose symmetrical schemes. They emphasize the correct geometry.

This is true only for those cases where zoning is not required to be emphasized. In this case, asymmetry is more suitable, and you can use spots that are different in appearance.

Most often used in living rooms a large number of light sources, which are divided into several groups. This makes it possible to vary the intensity of illumination over a wide range.

It does not matter, with or without a chandelier, but the schemes contain more than a dozen spots, and more often several dozen. So in this case, to save electricity, it makes sense to put LED lamps. Yes, they are much more expensive, but in terms of efficiency they have no equal. Anyway, for now.

Bedroom

It is necessary to select the location of the lamps on the ceiling, taking into account the fact that the atmosphere should be cozy and relaxing. Therefore, when choosing lamps, you need to choose them with warm temperature glows, that is, those that give a slightly yellowish light. Putting lamps with a blue or bright white tint in the bedroom is not worth it - it will be difficult to relax.

Bedroom lighting schemes usually do not differ in great complexity. A contour of small lamps along the perimeter of the room, maybe a few more of them above the bed. That's all the exploration. The simpler the better. The task is to create cozy atmosphere and everything is subject to it.

If there are still other zones in the bedroom - dressing table or even workplace, you can “get” the illumination with the help of wall lamps. The second way out is to install in this area large quantity lighting devices, enter them on a separate switch and turn them on as needed.

So when choosing the layout of built-in lamps in the bedroom, one of the basic rules is conciseness.

Kitchen

Most often, the kitchen, even if small, is divided into two parts. One prepares food, the other takes it. When developing a lighting scheme, these zones are often emphasized. In this case, the spots are usually placed along the kitchen set, and a rectangle, an oval, an arbitrary figure is built above the table.

If the kitchen is very small, complex schemes don't set up. In such cases, spots are distributed along the perimeter or along two walls - opposite or adjacent. This is already necessary to look at the situation, but both options are not bad.

An oval or a square also looks good. Just don't install small room large lamps with complex shades. They, of course, look beautiful, but are more suitable for the living room, in a small amount they are good in the bedroom. Even in the corridor and hallway are appropriate. But not in the kitchen. Firstly, they are very difficult to wash, and secondly, in small room they don't look. Here, concise forms are more suitable. But a circle or a square - this is your choice.

Various types of lamps can be used. For example, as in the photo - on long legs. By the way, this is one of the trends. Plafonds can be of any shape, but the most common are cylindrical or round.
