How to equip a well for water. How to equip a well: the main stages. Shallow well - surface pump

A well is one of the most popular ways of extracting water, the use of which allows owners of suburban areas to have a double benefit: obtaining high-quality water and saving financial costs. Having drilled a well, it is possible to provide water supply at any time of the year. But a narrow hole in the ground cannot yet act as a full-fledged source of water supply, only the arrangement of a well for water makes it possible to make life-giving moisture suitable for use and consumption.

Having drilled a water well, you can begin to equip it. To ensure uninterrupted water supply, it is necessary to install special equipment, which includes: a caisson, a pump, a hydraulic accumulator and a head for the well.

The scheme for arranging water wells in the country is generally the same, the differences can only be in the selection and installation of individual elements

Before you start arranging the well, you should correctly select the structural elements in order to protect yourself in the future from unnecessary hassle and the cost of repairing expensive equipment.

Purpose of the caisson

Caisson is one of the main structural elements for furnishing. Outwardly similar to a barrel, a waterproof container is designed to protect water in the intake system from freezing and mixing with groundwater.

In a sealed design, you can place automatic equipment, cleaning filters, a membrane tank, pressure switches, pressure gauges and other components, thereby freeing the living quarters from unnecessary units and devices. The caisson, as a rule, is equipped with a neck with a tight-fitting lid.

Caissons are made of corrosion-resistant metals - stainless steel and aluminum, or plastic, which is not subject to decay and other destruction processes.

Submersible pump

In order for your well to serve properly in the next few decades, you need to competently.

The choice of product depends on its performance and maximum pressure. To date, the most popular pumps are European manufacturers, for example: Grundfos, Water Technics Inc.

When calculating, as a result of which the parameters of the product are determined, the diameter and depth of the well, the length water pipes, peak water consumption from all connection points.

For the stable operation of the water supply system, it is necessary to maintain operating pressure in the range from 1.5 to 3 atm., which are equal to 30 m of water column.

Hydraulic accumulator

The main function of the accumulator is to maintain and smoothly change the fluid pressure in the water intake system. In addition, the tank provides a minimum supply of water and protects against water hammer. The devices differ only in the amount of water they can hold, ranging from 10 to 1000 liters.

For a small country house with 3-5 taps, it is enough to install a hydraulic tank with a capacity of 50 liters

Well cap

The head can be made of both plastic and cast iron. Plastic products able to withstand a suspended load, the mass of which does not exceed 200 kg, and cast iron - 500 kg

The main stages of well construction

Household owners who do not have enough time, knowledge and skills to understand communication schemes can always entrust this responsible work to specialists.

Particularly artisans will do everything themselves. But even if someone will carry out all the work for you, you will need to check everything. So the organization autonomous water supply takes place in several stages.

Caisson installation

To install the caisson, it is necessary to prepare a hole, which should be dug around the well to a depth of 1.8-2 meters. The dimensions of the pit are determined by the dimensions of the container, on average its width is 1.5 meters. As a result, a pit should form, in the middle of which a casing pipe sticks out.

If the pit is filled with groundwater, it is necessary to create an additional recess in order to pump it out in a timely manner.

In the bottom of the caisson itself, it is necessary to cut a hole equal to the diameter of the insulating casing pipe. The prepared caisson can be lowered into the pit, placing it in the center of the wellbore. After that, the casing pipe can be cut and welded to the bottom of the caisson by electric welding.

To assembled structure water pipe must be connected and electrical cable pump. The caisson is covered with a layer of soil: only a cover should remain above the surface, acting as an entrance to the structure.

The caissons are mounted below the level of soil freezing and are additionally equipped with: a lifting ladder, a hydraulic storage tank, pumps, compressors and other operational water-lifting devices

Submersible pump installation

Despite the fact that the process of installing the pump itself is quite simple, some nuances must be taken into account when installing it:

  • before installing the pump, thoroughly clean the well by pumping water until the water stops sedimenting in the form of sand and other particles;
  • the pump in the well is placed so that it does not reach 1 meter to the bottom of the source, and at the same time it is completely immersed in water;
  • in parallel with the installation of the pump, a plastic pipe is installed (water is supplied upward through it), and a cable (to control the operation of the pump motor);
  • starter and check valve mounted after preset pump;
  • after installing the system, it is necessary to regulate the pressure in the tank in such a way that it should be 0.9 of the pressure when turned on;
  • the cable with which the pump is attached to the head cover must be made of stainless steel or have a waterproof braid.

After installing the pump, you can install a cap that seals and protects the wellhead.

Installing a hydraulic accumulator

It is impossible to ensure uninterrupted water supply without installing a hydraulic accumulator.

The hydraulic accumulator can be installed both in the caisson itself and in the basement of the building

The principle of operation of the system is quite simple - after turning on the pump, an empty tank is filled with water. When you open a faucet in the house, water enters it from the accumulator, and not directly from the well. As the water is used up, the pump automatically turns on again and pumps water into the tank.

Mounting the tank in engineering system must be made, leaving free access for repair or replacement in the future. A non-return valve must be provided at the installation site of the tank, in the direction of water flow. Before and after placing the tank, it is necessary to install a drain cock to drain the water. Fixing the accumulator using rubber seal will reduce the level of vibration.

Autonomous water supply systems country cottages, dachas, gardens have a well or a well as a source of water intake. At permanent residence water is pulled into the building underground, so in a rational way the arrangement of the mouth is a caisson - a tank buried in the ground with a hatch for maintenance.

You can design a well in the form of a well with a gate, a decorative bucket and a roof.

Decorating a 60 cm hatch is not a problem for landscape design. The industry produces stone imitations (hollow inside) from polymer materials, animal figurines, mushrooms, stumps, other forms that are qualitatively integrated into the landscape.

In houses of temporary/seasonal residence, the caisson is economically disadvantageous. It costs the user at least 16-18 thousand rubles, requires digging a pit, a trench to the house, laying a pipeline, installing capital equipment. Therefore, gardeners / summer residents often use wellhead heads through which hoses, cables from centrifugal or vibration pumps pass.

You can decorate the well with artificial stone imitating a sawn tree (such stones are usually used to decorate hatches).

Pumping equipment can be mounted on the head. However, even in this case, ennobling a well in a country house is much easier than a well. All the same stones, fungi, small architectural forms can be used:

  • well imitation - top part with a decorative bucket, chain, collar, usually removable;
  • water mill - part of the water is supplied to the blades, the design is central element landscape design;
  • teremok - one slope or side wall are a door, a hatch for access to wellhead equipment.

Borehole with modern manual piston pump looks elegant with original forms bodies of water devices. The industry produces models decorated with openwork forging, casting in the form of animals, fairy-tale characters, playing L-shape designs.

mouth garden well decorates within minutes as the pump delivers liquid to a single irrigation hose, from which the tank is filled if necessary drinking water, baths, summer shower.

Technology of construction of small architectural forms above the mouth

It will not be possible to insulate the mouth with decorative buildings, they play the role of elements of landscape design, serve as protection for pumping equipment, head piping. Classic design summer plumbing, which protrudes significantly above the ground, is equipped as follows:

  • design - for self-construction, a simple sketch of the necessary architecture is sufficient;
  • foundation - the foundation is usually 0.4-0.7 m deep pieces of pipes (asbestos or steel) at the corners of the structure;
  • frame - to save the construction budget, a frame is constructed from a bar of 50 x 50 mm;
  • walls - a door is provided for maintenance of wellhead equipment or the upper part of the structure is made removable;
  • cladding - facades of small architectural form are decorated with wood, siding, panels with a minimum budget.

If necessary, the design is equipped with landscape lighting, which dramatically increases the aesthetics of perception in landscape design. Power cable, necessary for pumping equipment, lighting, stretches underground (0.7-1 m) or through the air. In the first case, a certain amount of excavation will be required, in the second option, several pillars will have to be installed, which can also be beaten in the landscape design of the site.

A well covered with a decorative structure is really convenient to maintain, it receives protection from the weather, the casing pipes are protected from solar ultraviolet radiation.

To preserve the pipeline, it is enough to disconnect the hoses and dismantle the pump. Shut-off valves can be left on the head for the winter, which saves time before the start of the new season.

Decorating a country well

Due to seasonal residence, a well in a country house is made less often than a well. This is due to the design of summer / winter water pipelines equipped with drain system. With each conservation of the pipeline, the remaining liquid is drained, the volume of the well for this, as a rule, is not enough.

You can decorate the well by overlaying it around decorative stones, and next to put any decorative figurines or statues.

In the manufacture of small architectural forms in the country, either open or closed structures are used to improve the well. In the first case, the construction budget is reduced, but the likelihood of foreign debris getting inside the reinforced concrete rings increases. In the second option, full-fledged doors, hatches on the side slopes of the roof are used.

The well of an open design is traditionally equipped with side racks attached to reinforced concrete rings or embedded in the ground. wooden poles can be decorated with carvings (ornament, animal figures), metal constructions decorated with forged, cast elements. Mounted on racks gable roof covered by any roofing material. The gate, chain, bucket are decorative elements, used for their intended purpose during power outages.

The dacha can be decorated with a log house 0.7-1.2 m high with several crowns in the traditional rustic style. Concrete rings can be decorated with improvised materials:

  • twisted rope - impregnated with an adhesive composition, twists around the ring in a spiral, painted or showered with sparkles;
  • decorative plaster - maximum scope for the creativity of the home master;
  • brick, clinker - traditional ring masonry with a maximum resource;
  • panels - facade modifications made of composite, wood, polymers are used;
  • siding - flexible long-format elements for lining rings with a diameter of 2 m.

Features of integration into landscape design

When choosing closed design imitating a windmill, a forest hut, a mushroom, a fabulous house, a summer residence receives an element of high artistic value. According to SNiP, SanPiN, the source of water intake should be 15 m away from the septic tank, the power structures of the building. Therefore, most often a small path leads from the house to the well. architectural form at its end becomes a logical conclusion.

If necessary, the well can be improved in the same way, however, in this case, the construction budget increases. Septic tank hatches autonomous systems sewerage on suburban area are drawn up similarly to a well equipped with a caisson. Only the hatches of these structures come to the surface, which are covered with imitations of stumps and boulders.

From personal experience, I have repeatedly been convinced and do not get tired of repeating that its efficiency, reliability and durability depend on the quality and correct arrangement of a well for water.

Below I will answer the most common questions, describe possible problems that may arise during the construction and operation of the well, I will tell you how best to deal with them.

That is why the cost of arranging a well cannot be cheaper than 39 thousand rubles - a detailed estimate (look and don't be fooled (

What types of wells do we drill

Well arrangement options

I offer three main ways to equip a well, each of which is relevant in certain conditions:

  • The cheapest way to arrange. Based on personal experience, I can say that freezing of water in it is excluded if its mirror is at a depth of more than 2.5-3 meters. For the winter, the head can be additionally insulated, isolated from direct contact with snow, moisture.
  • Bringing water into the house through an adapter. I often find that people choose this method in order to save money, so as not to buy and install a caisson. And here one problem arises - if it is necessary to maintain the well, you have to pay extra for earthworks, since the adapter itself is installed at a depth of more than 2 meters from the surface. Therefore, this saving seems to me doubtful.

Important!

The choice of arrangement method depends on the type and depth of the well, the intensity of use. Heed the advice of a specialist to avoid additional costs and inconvenience during the operation of the well.

Independent arrangement of a deep well

Doing a well on the site with your own hands will definitely not work. You will spend a lot of time, money and effort. Of course, you can try to drive in a pipe and make an Abyssinian well, but alas, this is not for long and does not work everywhere.

Without special equipment, tools, and most importantly - experience, you will not be able to avoid all the mistakes that you can make. I will list just a few of them:

During my practice, I often encountered such consequences as freezing of the pipeline in winter time, a decrease in the quality of water from a well due to dirt from the surface entering the bottomhole, flooding of the caisson and many other problems.

Useful advice!

If you are determined to carry out the construction of the well yourself, I recommend that you find a company that provides installation supervision services. A specialist is sent to the facility, and already under his strict control and taking into account his recommendations, you independently carry out all the work.

HOW TO SELECT EQUIPMENT FOR WELL CONSTRUCTION:

  • Well type (sand/limestone), its depth, static water level
  • The purpose of the well is seasonal or permanent use, irrigation or domestic water supply
  • Weather features of the region and the depth of soil freezing, its type
  • Type of selected pumping equipment, automation, its location (caisson, separate technical room)

I always take into account the geodetic features of the site, we know the geology then there are fewer problems.

Arrangement of a self-draining well

A self-draining well differs from the usual one by an excessively high static water level, which is above the ground level. This is the result high pressure in the aquifer.

I can tell you with complete certainty that simple solutions in this situation, there is no point in waiting.

Self-draining wells for the Moscow region are not a frequent phenomenon, but sometimes I had to deal with such problematic hydraulic structures and eliminate the consequences.

I know of two scenarios:

  • Self-draining occurs only from the wellbore - this indicates that the drillers did their job well, and water does not enter the annulus. Here it will be a little easier to solve the problem
  • Self-draining occurs not only from the wellbore, but also from the annulus - this is the result of the unprofessional work of the drillers or the inattention of the chief engineer. Highly serious problem with an expensive solution

Increasing the height of the column- is the most popular solution to the problem. Sometimes 2-3 meters of a pipe is enough to stop self-draining, around which a caisson is built with a depth of 2 meters, and the upper part is insulated.

If there is a body of water nearby- preferably a river, a stream, I propose such a solution - we dig ourselves 2 meters around the column and equip a full-fledged caisson on a good pillow. We muffle the barrel with a head, we mount it in a caisson pump equipment(you can use a self-priming unit), we equip a traditional autonomous water supply.

We make an additional outlet pipe with a valve designed for a certain pressure (depending on the water pressure in the reservoir), to which we connect a flexible hose and direct it into the reservoir.

Thus, we relieve excess pressure and eliminate the risk of water squeezing into the annulus, soil erosion. If there is no reservoir nearby, you need to look for an opportunity to divert water in a natural way to ownerless territories, into artificial drainage.

If the self-spill cannot be eliminated, and water drainage is impossible, I suggest only plugging the well - “plugging”. This is a very complicated and expensive process, and, as far as I know, only a few companies provide such services in the entire Moscow Region.

Water is pumped out of the well with powerful compressor units, a clay solution is fed to the bottom, and after the self-spout is jammed, a gravel pad is poured on top. You can also use a special spacer parker to keep water from rising to the surface.

I do not advise sealing a well with self-draining tightly, since there is always a risk that water will find its way, and this is a high probability of erosion of the site, washing away the foundation of finished buildings.

Arrangement of an artesian well - features

During my practice, I only a few times came across the fact that people order an artesian well for irrigation. Basically, this type of hydraulic structures is used for arranging year-round autonomous water supply. In this regard, I propose the capital arrangement of such wells:

  • Mandatory installation of a caisson or over a borehole house + cap
  • Installation of a diaphragm accumulator, centrifugal pump, automation
  • Laying pipelines in trenches at a depth of up to 2 meters
  • Installation of water treatment systems based on the results of laboratory water analysis
  • Installation of auxiliary systems - automatic draining of the system, drainage pump in a caisson

an example of arranging a well for sand and how much does it cost

DEVELOPMENT OF A WELL FOR SAND - FEATURES

A sand well most often has a lower flow rate compared to artesian wells, less stable water quality. Therefore, in my practice, in most cases they are ordered for seasonal use in summer cottages. For this reason, I propose economical option arrangement:

  • head mounting, buried in a small caisson (1 concrete ring with a hatch) or protected small house on a surface

  • Downhole pump installation

  • Laying a pipeline to the house

Below I will compare the costs of arranging a deep well for limestone and a seasonal well for sand.

Type of work

borehole on limestone

Well on the sand

Installation of the caisson

22000-35000 rubles

from 13500 rubles

Installation of pumping equipment

20000-25000 rubles

4000-5000 rubles

Plumbing

15000-20000 rubles

1500-3000 rubles

Installation of a water treatment system

As for the arrangement itself, I repeat - it should be capital, since the main problems arise precisely in winter. The pipeline must be laid at a depth below the freezing of the soil. If there is “extra” money, I advise you to put a heating cable just in case - it won’t be worse. But if the installation of the pipeline is carried out at a depth of 2 meters, then the heating cable is superfluous.

By personal experience I know that the depth of soil freezing in Moscow Region does not exceed 1.8 meters even in the coldest winters, and the average freezing depth is 1.3-1.6 meters. But do not spare money for a caisson - it will allow without extra costs maintain hydraulic structures and equipment.

Is it possible to use a cellar for arranging a well?

Theoretically and even practically - it is possible, but I strongly do not recommend doing this. If you have the problem described above with self-draining, then you run the risk of being completely left without a residential or utility building. In addition, I am sure that the well construction will be associated with a number of problems (the inability to use long casing pipes, the difficulty of removing soil, mud), and it will be impossible to use a full-fledged drilling rig.

I advise drilling a well, taking into account the standards for SNiP - 5 meters from residential buildings, 10 meters from neighboring plots, 25 meters from septic tanks.

Summing up, based on my own knowledge and experience, I recommend that you do not save on well construction, so that later it does not result in additional costs for you. By doing it yourself, you will lose more than you save. Trust real professionals, then you will not face the possible negative consequences described above.

No one will argue with the fact that uninterrupted water supply is one of the most important conditions for the prosperity of your estate. The most reliable and optimal option is to drill a personal well.

But just drilling is not enough, you still need to install equipment for lifting and delivering water to your home, and now we will tell you in detail how to equip a water well in a private cottage or in the country.

What are the wells

Water suitable for domestic use, can be mined from 2 levels:

  1. The first level is relatively shallow, it is conventionally called sandy, since the water is in the sandy layer.
  2. The second level is deeper and is located in a layer of limestone, such wells are usually called artesian, then we will consider in more detail.

Extraction of water from the sand layer

  • This type of well is used for purely personal use, since the thickness of the aquifer is on average 0.5 m³ per hour. This is quite enough to meet domestic needs in the house and watering. personal plot. But it will not be enough to meet the needs of the dacha cooperative.
  • The depth of the sandy aquifer varies on average from 10 m to 50 m. A distinctive feature here is that all work can be done by hand, within a few days. Of course, the work is hard, but simple and quite doable.
  • advantages of such structures.
    1. The price of equipment and work will not be high compared to the artesian option.
    2. In terms of time, work is carried out quickly, you can complete it in a maximum of a week.
  • Minuses.
    1. There is no guarantee that if the neighbors have water, it will be at the same depth in your area.
    2. There is a high probability of contamination of the aquifer.
    3. The maximum service life is up to 15 years, which is why it is not recommended to equip such wells directly under the house.
    4. Instability and floating nature ground water.
    5. Quite often, such water is suitable only for technical needs and requires the arrangement of an additional expensive filtration system.

Tip: Building codes strongly discourage drilling within 20m of any potential source of pollution, local landfills, compost pits, toilets, etc.

Artesian wells

  • This type of wells is the most preferred, since the water from them differs high performance quality. But you won’t be able to drill yourself, since the depth of such aquifers ranges from 50 m to 200 m. Plus, limestone is a rather strong rock and it is almost impossible to drill it with your own hands without using special equipment at such a depth.

  • What are good artesian wells.
    1. As a rule, in local geological exploration it is possible to determine the depth of water occurrence relatively accurately.
    2. Sufficiently high water yield, the average capacity is 10 m³ per hour, which can satisfy the needs of an average dacha cooperative or a large private estate with a swimming pool, several bathrooms and automatic watering household plot.
    3. If you properly equip the structure, then it will serve you for a long time, up to 50 years. Thanks to this, they can be drilled under the house.
    4. Stable level of occurrence of the aquifer.
    5. And most importantly, the quality of such water is very high. As a rule, additional filters are not required, because thanks to the limestone shell and the great depth, the probability of penetration of contaminants is almost zero.
  • Of the minuses, one can only point to the high cost of arrangement. But once you invest money, you will forget about the problem of clean, drinking water for decades.

Let's talk about the details

Casing

  • Installation of casing pipes is the first stage of arrangement. They are designed to strengthen the walls of the well and protect the structure from collapse. The durability of the well largely depends on the selection of material. Pipes are steel, asbestos-cement or plastic.
  • metal pipes have a high mechanical strength, which is why they are used at great depths. Among analogues, their price is the highest. You can’t save here when choosing pipes, you should pay special attention to quality anti-corrosion coating, since they will be operated in extreme conditions.
  • You should also give preference to a threaded connection, because the weld cannot provide long-term, high-quality operation in such conditions. In some cases, to save money, it makes sense to combine steel and plastic pipes. Install steel in the upper unstable layers, and install plastic at the bottom on solid stable rocks.
  • Asbestos-cement pipes Sufficiently high quality and durable, but now they are not often used. The reason is that asbestos-cement is a brittle material and in the event of a movement of the layers, the pipe does not bend, but immediately bursts. Plus, they can only be connected by means of couplings, and with such a connection at the joints, the diameter of the column decreases.
  • plastic pipes from PVC-U with threaded connection are now used everywhere. They do not rust, are environmentally neutral and the price is reasonable. The only significant disadvantage is that they are applied to a depth of 50 m, up to a maximum of 100 m, and the well must be perfectly flat. Although, as mentioned earlier, for greater depths they can be combined with steel.

Arrangement of the caisson

The caisson is underground well for a well.

It can be made of reinforced concrete, metal or plastic.

  • Reinforced concrete caissons have been used for a long time.
    Although they are quite strong and reliable, they have several significant flaws.
    1. Transportation and installation of concrete rings require expensive special equipment.
    2. It is necessary to carefully seal all the seams, which can be quite problematic.
    3. Price for concrete rings available, but you need to additionally spend money on high-quality waterproofing.

  • Metal caissons, a more viable option. They can be welded directly at the installation site, for this we use sheet metal 4 mm thick or more. They are completely sealed, as a rule, special equipment is also required for their installation, plus, in addition to waterproofing, metal caissons need thermal insulation.

  • Plastic caissons are currently the most the best option for furnishing. They are made from polyethylene, unplasticized polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene or fiberglass. Their characteristics are almost ideal: they do not rust, do not require additional insulation, are completely sealed, due to their low weight they can be mounted by yourself, and most importantly, the price of such caissons is the lowest.

  • Installation instructions for the caisson are extremely simple. Initially, a pit is dug around the casing. The dimensions of the pit should be 20 - 30 cm more sizes caisson. The cover must rise above the ground by at least 100 mm.
  • The foundation is laid by the foundation principle. A layer of sand is poured, a layer of rubble is poured on it, then a reinforcing structure, and all this is poured with concrete.
  • A caisson is placed on the base, and the remaining space is covered with sand or soil. But we recommend, for rigidity, to install a reinforcing cage and also pour concrete.

Important: since the caisson is more designed to protect against cold, debris and bad weather, it makes no sense to equip it when the well is under the house.

headroom

  • In a nutshell, the cap is the cover of the casing string. A tight connection is a prerequisite. It’s not worth saving on it, a good head should have a seam connection, plus rubber gasket between it and the casing string.
  • In addition to the protection function, the headband is load-bearing structure, water-lifting equipment is suspended on it. Depending on the weight of this equipment, the material is selected. The plastic head is designed for weight up to 200 kg, the metal one can withstand up to 500 kg.

On the video in this article you can follow the installation process.

Pump and related equipment

  • This equipment should be selected depending on the volume of water supply. small submersible pumps type "Kid" or "Brook" are well suited for summer cottages, but they are absolutely not acceptable for autonomous systems, since it will not be possible to properly equip a well with their help. They work according to the vibration principle, and during vibration, the silt will rise, the water quality will deteriorate, and the structure will not last long.
  • When the water surface is at a depth of 8 m, self-priming pumps are recommended. At a mirror at a depth of 15m there are also self-priming pumps, but with an external ejector. With a depth of 20 m, the installation of borehole pumps will be optimal.
  • When selecting the supply cable for the pump, it should be taken into account that, since water can be used for cooking, the insulation must be environmentally neutral. The cross section must match the engine power. Plus the cable must be designed for underwater use.
  • The cable is used to lift the pump in case of damage to the riser. The best and proven option is stainless steel braided cable. Galvanized cable will last up to 2 years. PVC braid will slightly extend the service life. But if you save on the cable, then there is a danger of irretrievably losing the pump at depth.
  • The water column is designed to deliver water from the depth and hold the pump. The column made of polypropylene with the obligatory tight threaded connection of all problem nodes has proven itself best of all.
  • Main pipeline made of polypropylene or polyethylene pipes, at a depth below the freezing point of the soil. Pipes, in without fail, must be certified for use in household, domestic systems, for drinking water.

Source on suburban area First of all, it is necessary for the uninterrupted supply of water for household needs. But the aesthetic side also has a very great importance- in a neat, well-groomed dacha, you don’t want to see a protruding pipe entangled in hoses. Decorative design of a water well will help ennoble the structure and close it with the help of the most various materials and elements - it all depends on your imagination.

Design options great amount, we will look at some of them - how simple options, and original solutions. The choice of a particular type depends on the characteristics of your site, the nature of the surrounding landscape and, of course, your personal preferences and capabilities.

Options for wells without a caisson

As is known, for best protection and the convenience of the location of all nodes of the system, a protective structure is arranged, which experts call the caisson. Most often, it is deepened into the ground, and only part of it is visible on the surface. If you do not have it, it is better to make a structure that will take on protective functions.

Wooden structures

Undoubtedly, the most common and popular option for a number of reasons:

  • The tree is very convenient to work with - making a well with your own hands will not cause difficulties for almost anyone.
  • To work, you will need a simple set of tools: a hacksaw, a hammer and nails or a screwdriver and self-tapping screws and measuring devices (tape measure, square and construction pencil). With their help, you can make almost any design.
  • The price of the material is quite democratic, and the structure can be used various cuts and short boards left over from other works and not applicable to something else.
  • Wooden structures look very attractive and fit perfectly into the natural landscape.

The work is carried out quite simply:

  • First, you should prepare the base, from the point of view of practicality, the concrete option is most preferable - this way you will reliably protect and create a solid and even base for your decorative structure.

  • If the structure is made of stone, it should be about the same size, so it is much easier to stack. It is best to take red brick - ceramics are resistant to moisture and will last a very long time.
  • After laying the stone and drying the mortar, the surface can be washed, removing dirt and covered with special composition- so your impromptu well will look even better.
