TV stands made of drywall. Drywall TV niche: we create furniture for the hall from universal material

Drywall is one of the most popular finishing materials on the market today. It is very easy to work with, including cutting and bending. At the same time, it is quite durable and can even act as partitions and walls in the interior. But it is even more interesting to use it to create decorative designs, such as multi-tiered ceilings or niches in the walls. A plasterboard TV niche can be the main highlight of your living room. At the same time, its implementation will give you such additional benefits as:

  • Simplicity and relative cheapness in implementation;
  • The ability to hide all the wires in the wall.

Today you will see how stylish and creative a drywall TV niche can look in a living room design and get acquainted with the features of its manufacture.

Drywall TV niche: how to do it

Drywall niches can be installed on walls made of almost any material: concrete, brick, wood, etc. Each TV niche is created based on the wishes and taste needs of the owner of the house or apartment, so the installation process is unique. For example, your niche can be horizontal or vertical, rectangular or round, illuminated or not, and in absolutely any size and finish. In this case, the sequence of actions always remains the same:

  1. Mount the frame;
  2. Sheathe the inner walls of the niches;
  3. Set backlight if necessary;
  4. Hang the TV and conduct communications (TV wires, antenna, etc.);
  5. Sheathe the entire niche frame with drywall;
  6. Spend Finishing work.

As a rule for drywall niche metal or metal is selected for the TV wooden frame. Here's what it looks like in a photo:

Not very attractive, right? But drywall, lighting and various decorative coatings easily turn this unsightly design into candy. Let's see how interesting a plasterboard TV niche can be in the interior of the hall!

How can I arrange a niche for a TV in the hall

Consider the main possibilities that the design of a niche in the living room offers, in addition to hiding the wires:

  • A vertical TV niche will create the illusion high ceiling and leave room for tall cabinets on the sides;

  • A horizontal drywall niche, on the contrary, will visually lengthen the wall and, in combination with low furniture, will expand your living room;
  • A full-scale drywall construction with several niches on the wall is useful not only for the TV, but also for storing various souvenirs, figurines, indoor plants and other decor;
  • Drywall niche with backlight - interesting way add a romantic and mysterious atmosphere to the interior of the living room, as well as emphasize the decor on the niche shelves.

As for finishing materials for niches, here the only limitation can be your sense of style and budget. Typically, the niche structure itself is finished with plaster, paint, or wall paper, while the interior cavity may be decorated with stone, glass, wood, or a contrasting shade of paint or wallpaper. Highlighting the interior walls of a niche with a color or texture visually deepens the surface and gives the room a more embossed and bold look. At the same time, experts recommend choosing for this purpose not too dark shades, otherwise the niche will look more like a hole in the wall than a stylish interior solution.

Hiding the TV in the wall partially or completely would be a good solution, especially if there is already a system of shelves, niches, or a false wall that hides communications. We propose to consider the main options for hidden installation household appliances and instructions for their implementation. Let's talk about how to make a niche for a drywall TV with your own hands.

Design task: how to fit the equipment into the interior

Many are familiar with the Yugoslav walls with a niche for installing a TV or an aquarium. Televisions of that era, unlike modern panels, were massive, overall and could only be hidden in a furniture cavity of the appropriate depth. Despite the fact that today the recess in the wall for the TV is more decorative than functional purpose, both the design side of the process and the design side require close attention.

You can find countless concept images on the World Wide Web, but it's one thing to put together visual design, and it is quite another to perform its technically correct implementation. In the most simple version a classic niche is proposed, the back wall of which is either a load-bearing wall with a minimum layer of finish, or a plasterboard surface with a minimum, again, indent from the draft plane.

A ceiling-to-floor niche is otherwise called a portal and has a slightly different construction scheme. Such structures make it possible to realize the idea even when the walls do not have a continuous leveling sheathing. At the same time, the portal looks quite finished and independent element interior.

The portal is flanked by two wide columns. You can choose absolutely any form factor: it does not affect the functionality in any way, but as a result, a niche with a complex configuration may require considerable time to align, smooth and finish it.

Unlike primitive imitations of pilasters rectangular shape, more complex columns may have curved front or side faces. It is also possible to have a radial design of the back plane of the niche, such designs are called exedras, and TVs are rarely installed in them. hinged way. In a niche or portal, as well as in framing columns, an arbitrary number of smaller niches or shelves can be cut in to install a home theater and other equipment, or household items.

Mounting and load from the TV

Although modern television equipment has become more compact, it has remained quite massive. This must be taken into account when assembling the niche frame in order to securely strengthen it in the right places.

Typically, television panels are mounted on hinged brackets at a level of 100-120 cm from the floor. Such an installation does not require the installation of a reinforced shelf, due to which the portal as a whole looks quite light and discreet.

Otherwise, it is possible to use a standard TV stand to install it on a horizontal plane. This option is not very attractive due to the fact that it is almost impossible to tear the TV off the hinged bracket, but with a free installation it is quite easy to overwhelm even a small child.

Mounting a TV panel on a plasterboard wall has certain requirements that relate to both the internal configuration of the structure and the means of fastening used. Only one thing can be said with certainty: the TV model and the type of mounting bracket must be known at the design stage. Depending on the mass of equipment, an adequate method of strengthening the rear plane is selected. Someone prefers embedded profiles directly at the place of fastening, others are limited to two-layer reinforced skin.

Mounting of the bracket should be carried out according to the instructions. For reliability, at least four attachment points are used

From fasteners for hanging equipment weighing from 30 kg, a metal dowel "umbrella" and a mount called "Hartmut" are well suited. Note that if there is a brick or concrete wall with a minimum indentation of the false wall, fastening is best done with bolted or chemical anchors. The guarantee of reliability is good, because no one knows how fasteners will behave after several years with various conditions operation.

Frame assembly

Unlike other popular designs, a niche or portal for a TV has a special assembly specifics. As in most cases, the frame consists of the main part and load-bearing curly elements that have no other function than shaping.

The main set of profiles for creating a frame of almost any shape. Profiles CW and UW are used to form the base, CD and UD to reinforce the planes on which the drywall will be attached.

For curved shapes, it is better to use a special bent profile that can recreate the correct shape of the bend.

The assembly of the main part begins with the installation of guide profiles. Since niches are rarely made with a depth of less than 60-70 mm, most suitable size profile for adequate load perception - 50 mm. At least four vertical rows of guides are nailed to the draft plane of the wall, or, if the sheathing has already been completed, to the profiles hidden behind the drywall. In the latter case, the section of the wall for the niche device must be reinforced with horizontal bars every 40-50 cm - the assembled structure is attached to them.

All profiles in direct contact with the main wall, floor or ceiling must be glued with polyethylene foam damping tape

At the very bottom of the niche, it is necessary to mount a small podium, which, in terms of plan, will protrude beyond the rest of the structural elements. Its height is purely symbolic - up to 10 cm, and the purpose is to ensure correct installation. floor plinth. Using stretch ceilings a similar design can be useful in the upper part.

For side columns, if they are straight, the guide profiles are duplicated in the opposite position already fixed on the wall. Jumpers of a fixed length are inserted between them, which determine the depth of the excavation. For the smallest niches, the second group of guides is simply inserted into the first.

If the columns have a curved front surface, the second row of guides is made with a segmented profile. Before installing it, you need to cut out the side segments of the skin, fold the drywall in four layers and go along the common marking line with an electric jigsaw. After sewing up the sidewalls, a flexible profile is scrolled along their edge, in the simplest case, this is a self-made "herringbone".

It is a little more difficult to make the side faces curved: both groups of guides must be made with a flexible profile, and it is attached to the wall according to the marking line, which, in turn, is formed by tracing the template cut out of the plasterboard with a pencil. It will subsequently be used to sew the front side, but first you need to screw a flexible profile around the perimeter of the wrong side. The fastening of the structure is carried out, as in the general case, on remote inserts.

Profile connection options. 1. Connection using bent "wings". 2. Use of a connecting "crab". 3. Special insert for profile extension. 4. It is best to connect the profile to each other using a cutter

The space between the columns forms a niche, which can be divided by a shelf for installation, or have a reinforced rear plane. In the first case, the frame is assembled in the same way as for columns: two profile lines connected by jumpers. If the shelf is slightly recessed, a pair of uprights will be required for more rigid support. It is also necessary to tighten the structure with braces, so loaded shelves are usually sheathed to the floor, hiding the details of the frame device.

Gain rear wall performed by the method of a counter-lattice applied with back side frame with a repetition of the step of installing vertical racks. Here it is allowed to use a ceiling profile with a width of 60 mm, however, profiles in both directions must be attached to the wall with direct hangers.

Before sewing up the frame, lay the power cables for socket groups and lighting, television wires and twisted pair inside the frame cavity. If the conductors used are not self-supporting and armored, they must be sheathed in a corrugated sheath. The loop of wires should not be attached to the frame - only to the wall, while at the exit point the wire is folded into a loop and laid in such a way that it can be easily reached through the hole for the socket installation box.

Niche upholstery and trim

In conclusion, a few words about the finish. Sheathing has no particular specifics, all work is carried out by analogy with installation multilevel ceilings or arches. Drywall for sheathing curved surfaces must be prepared by soaking or making cuts on outside bending.

In the case of television niches, the requirements for protecting joints and corners are the most stringent. General structural reinforcement with fiberglass non-woven scrims is also welcome. From the options for finishing the internal cavities, choose a paint with a pronounced antistatic effect. Horizontal shelves of any size, for reasons of practicality, it is better to cover thin glass appropriate sizes.

An excellent one, which will allow you to carefully place a TV and all the devices required for it inside you, can be called a niche. This design perfect for those rooms in which there is not a lot of space, but you still want to place everything in it as efficiently as possible necessary devices and items. Such a product has another significant advantage - it is a TV stand, that is, by making a niche, you can be sure that your TV will hold securely and is unlikely to fall off somewhere

It is very convenient that a do-it-yourself niche for a drywall TV is assembled completely, you do not have to resort to the services of specialists, you just need to follow the tips and rules of this article. It is easier to create such products than to build, for example, a common one. Therefore, even a beginner will perfectly cope with this work. By creating a niche, you will create an ideal place for a TV in your apartment, in addition, you can place everything you need for it to work nearby.

What is this article about

Form selection and niche design

For a niche it is very important to choose suitable design, which will not only emphasize the features of the product itself, but also organically fit into the interior. It is very difficult for most people to come up with at least some shape that will differ from an ordinary rectangle. If you are one of them, then you should start by browsing the Internet pages with similar products, so you can highlight the main design points for yourself, highlight any design features, in order to finally create your own individual product.

If you create other drywall constructions along with a niche, then it may be better to use the services of a designer who will definitely come up with a single drywall composition that will please your eye all the time. Our advice, make a few sketches of a niche according to your fantasies, because it can be made not only square or rectangular, but also complex shapes, with height differences and the presence of bends.

Measure the wall where the drywall niche for the TV will be installed. You need to know its dimensions and, preferably, the area in order to choose the dimensions of the structure almost perfectly. In accordance with the dimensions, but not much attention to them, make the project a niche. In the project, you need to sketch a niche of the form that you came up with, but do not forget that the dimensions of the product must also be indicated there.

Also, you must imagine how the TV will be attached to the support. In the role of the latter, both the wall and the niche itself can act (in this embodiment, it will be necessary to strengthen the bottom of the structure). Everything additional devices, for example, game consoles and various receivers, amplifiers, will need to be placed side by side, so make sure that there are shelves for them in the niche.

Work surface marking

The complexity of the markup will depend on where the niche will be located. If everything is standard, that is, the niche is on the wall, then the markup will take place only on the surface of this wall. But if the niche is made in the form of a partition, then you will also have to make markings on the ceiling and floor. We will consider the usual version of the location of the structure - on the wall.

As always, the first step is to mark the contours of the structure, indicate the places where the niches themselves will be located, that is, the cavity where the TV will be placed. The points for laying the rack profile are also indicated on the wall, in addition, for each profile rail (guide or rack) that is located in this area, you need to specify the dimensions. So that later, when you cut the profile, you can immediately measure the length of the rail and make a cut, and not measure the entire markup and frame.

A niche, which is made in the form of a TV stand, that is, the device will directly stand in the recess of the structure, is additionally reinforced with a profile, and chipboard or plywood is placed on its bottom - this should also be noted during marking. Make sure that all the lines are clearly visible, and the trace of the pencil is held securely, otherwise you can then touch the marked area with the tool, the lines will be erased - you will have to redo everything.

Quite often, the largest TV is placed in the living room, as there are a lot of people gathering there, and the screen should be visible to everyone. But we are talking about the fact that the living room is also often installed electric fireplaces, which is in perfect harmony with the TV, especially if the perfect hole for the fireplace is made in the niche, that is, exactly according to its size. If you will make a fireplace in your niche, then make an indication of this at this stage. In addition, it is better to place the TV on a special hanger that is attached to the wall, so do not forget to mark the place where the hanger is attached, or better, fix it now.

The process of building a frame for a niche

The frame will be made of several types of profile, which can be selected in size and thickness specifically for the weight of the structure and the load (in our case, the TV) that it will withstand.

  • guide profile. This type the profile will be used to connect the frame of the structure to the wall, that is, it will be the link between the base and the product;
  • Rack profile. It is used to erect the entire frame by connecting it to the already installed rails of the guide profile. Using this type of profile, all jumpers and stiffeners in the frame are created;
  • Profile for bends. It already has holes that were made at the factory, so it can be immediately bent without pre-training. But it can be replaced without any problems with a rack-mount profile, which is simply notched as necessary.

Before you make a purchase of a profile, it is worth calculating its quantity. An article about calculating the number of profiles for drywall structures will explain in detail the subtleties this process we advise you to read. You need to start assembling the frame by installing a guide profile, which is always located at the boundaries of the structure. You need to fix it to the base, and if it is concrete, use a drill and dowels.

The guide profile is cut into the necessary parts along the length with metal scissors, after which it is fixed on the wall and, if the niche is made in the form of a partition, on the floor and ceiling too. To give the plasterboard TV stand the required area, you need to use a rack profile. The rack profile is fixed between two guide rails using self-tapping screws.

It is necessary to place the rack profile in such a way as to give the structure maximum strength and the desired shape, so that it is possible to sheathe this frame with plasterboard sheets, as a result of which it would become exactly what you intended at the planning stage, that is, a niche. The rack profile connects all the guide rails, after which you can start working on those places where there is a bend in the profile.

As mentioned above, you can use both a special profile and an ordinary rack profile. The latter only needs to be cut with scissors every 5-7 centimeters, making an incision on each of the two sides, and leave the third intact - it will be in direct contact with the drywall.

With such a prepared profile, a bend is made, for example, in the form of a portal in the recess for the TV. Also, this profile creates a transition between parts of the structure in order to obtain a single product as a result. Having finished creating the frame, you can proceed to its sheathing and decorative trim.

Sheathing the frame with drywall sheets

It is at this stage that a significant minus of a niche manifests itself - this design, unlike the ceiling or, has recesses, for which drywall will have to be cut a lot. You'd better use for this electric jigsaw so that your hands do not get tired, and the work goes faster. Also, a niche, especially a corner one, creates a lot of seams between drywall sheets, so you have to use more plasters.

So, if the TV is on a hanger, then start sheathing the area around it. If the TV will simply stand in a niche, then the first step is to sheathe the area behind it, after which you can proceed to the sheathing of the place where the TV will stand and the adjacent walls in the recess of the niche. When you have sheathed the recess, you can go to front side construction by sheathing it. Please do not confuse this sequence when trimming. If you follow these instructions, then putty will pass somewhat easier, since the seams between the drywall sheets will be hidden by the front sheets of the plasterboard.

For some sections of the frame, it is possible as follows: make cuts on the GKL sheet every 6–8 centimeters and break the sheet along them, after which it can be fixed on the frame.

It is necessary to finish the work by strengthening the corners and further filling the product. We hope that now you will not wonder how or how to make a niche for a TV, because in the article we explained this in detail and quite simply. Easy work and quality results!

No one will argue that the TV in our life plays very important role. For many of us, this is a family member, and for some, the only connection to the world.

Modern television receivers have long been combined in terms of their installation, that is, they can be installed on a pedestal or podium, for which a special stand is included in the kit. And you can simply fix it on the wall surface using a special bracket.

The second option is the most commonly used today. Why?

There are two reasons here:

  1. You can get rid of the cabinets, thereby freeing up some space.
  2. Change the viewing angle to a more comfortable angle.

Let's add here changes in interior design in a more modern direction. But just hanging a TV on the wall is somehow usual, without fantasy. This place needs to be beaten using a new approach. For example, use various designs under the plasterboard TV.

Why drywall?

  • First, it's just in terms of do-it-yourself production.
  • Second, it's cheap. Compare drywall with others finishing materials not even worth it.
  • Thirdly, a variety of shapes and colors.
  • Fourthly, the ability to carry out the design of plasterboard walls for a TV using backlighting. This is the most to date unusual approach to the design of plasterboard structures.

Construction design

What designers do not offer today to change inner space room where the TV is installed. But the most important thing, as practice shows, is to beat the wall on which this device will be placed.

In this regard, drywall constructions are the most popular, there is no point even arguing here. The only thing that needs to be noted is the correct and competent approach to the issue of form.

In principle, it is important that this whole design is beautiful, comfortable and functional. Of course, the central place here is given to the TV, which will be installed in the center. This means that the plasterboard TV wall will be played around this device.

For the convenience of the production of future work, it is necessary to throw a small sketch on paper, and better drawing with sizes. If your imagination is not rich, then you will have to turn to professionals. If everything is fine with creativity and vision bulk structures good, then feel free to design the wall yourself.

What should be paid special attention to? The first is a drywall box for the TV.

This includes the frame and upholstery. When constructing the box, special attention must be paid to the materials used and the methods of their fastening to the walls, floor and ceiling.

The whole structure must be as strong as possible. It does not matter that the TV itself will be attached to the wall surface.

The thing is that plasterboard products for TV (it will be a niche, a podium or a wall) will participate in the interior not only as decorative element but also as furniture. Small shelves, niches, etc. will be loaded various subjects which means they must be durable and safe to use.

The plasterboard construction itself for the TV is a kind of halo around the TV set. But the niche and the wall on which it will be mounted must be finished so that the entire structure as a whole complies with the rules for interior decoration. And here is the experience the right approach designers should play a major role.

Design - a podium for a drywall TV

How can I finish the wall surface so that it does not affect the quality of fastening. In principle, there are a lot of materials for this.

For example, it can:

  • paint;
  • Paste with wallpaper;
  • Revet with stone (artificial or natural);
  • Lay tiles;
  • Etc.

But the rest of the structure is best painted, choosing a color in accordance with the wall decoration.

How to build a plasterboard structure for a TV

As stated above, this is not difficult process. But there is still complexity, and it depends on what form this structure will be, and how saturated it will be with small structural elements.

By the way, the price will depend on this. Therefore, we will consider how a simple plasterboard TV wall can be assembled.

markup

First of all, markings are made on the wall to which our structure will be installed. The basis for this will be your drawing prepared in advance.

First of all, the location of the TV is determined (usually the center). Therefore, you will have to transfer the dimensions of the device to the surface with a small deviation of ten centimeters, thereby expanding the installation area.

Note! Here it is very important to correctly measure the horizontal and vertical dimensions of each element. Therefore, for this period of work, your most important tools will be a plumb line and a level. Be careful during this step.

Frame installation

Everything is simple here.

  • Structural elements are being prepared ( metal profiles), which are cut exactly to the specified dimensions.
  • Installed and attached to the walls vertical racks. If the design has large dimensions and occupies space from ceiling to floor, then the racks will have to be attached to these surfaces.
  • Now a volumetric space is being formed. To do this, horizontal profiles are installed from the wall. Their length should correspond to the width of the drywall construction. It already turns out a kind of box for a drywall TV.
  • It remains only to install the external vertical racks.

Everything, the frame for the plasterboard construction is ready, you can continue the process further.

sheathing

Pre-required from drywall sheets cut strips that will sheathe the entire structure. Dimensions can be taken by removing them from the finished frame.

Important! All cut strips must exactly match the dimensions of the frame elements. And if a small deviation in the big direction can be corrected, then smaller sizes are a 100% marriage that you just have to throw away.

If all the strips are ready, you can proceed to the sheathing. Apply each element exactly to its destination, fasten it with self-tapping screws. Take your time, haste is not your best assistant.

Sealing and puttying

First of all, the seams are sealed. They must be primed and filled with a putty solution.

Until the mortar is completely dry, a special synthetic reinforcing serpentine tape is applied to the joints. After that, it is necessary to allocate time for the putty to dry well.

Now you can prime everything plasterboard surfaces, and after drying, apply a layer or two putties. Before carrying out finishing work, it is necessary to sand and prime the puttied areas.

How to fix the TV

How to fix a TV on a plasterboard wall? This is a very simple question.

To do this, you need to use self-tapping screws or dowels to install and attach the bracket on which the device will be hung. Here it is very important to properly set the place for fasteners. Therefore, first of all, determine the center of the niche by connecting its diagonals.

Now attach the bracket to the wall in the center and make marks with a pencil through the mounting holes. It remains only to drill holes in the wall, insert plastic dowels there, attach the bracket and tighten the screws.

Conclusion on the topic

We tried in this article to consider drywall constructions for a TV. A little touched on their design and method of construction.

It is difficult to convey all this in words, therefore, both videos and photos are posted on this page of the site for you. Let all this be for you as an instruction for use.

In the era of thin plasma and LCD TVs, the approach to their placement in the interior of the room has also changed. Now it is not necessary to clutter up the room with a typical wall or TV cabinet, because the panels have wall mounts allowing you to hang them on the wall. For convenience and aesthetics, the TV is most often placed in a niche. But it cannot be made in thin or bearing wall, so drywall comes to the rescue.

Plasterboard construction for TV

Drywall is a versatile and easy-to-install material for creating all kinds of decorative structures. It is easy to make a niche for a plasterboard TV with your own hands. The process does not require significant costs, expensive instruments and special skills.
Advantages of placing TV in a niche:

  1. A TV recessed into a niche will harmoniously fit into the interior.
  2. Illumination in a niche for a TV will create decorative effect and the room will look brighter. And the backlight can be used as a night lamp.
  3. On the shelves of the niche, you can place books or decor in the form of figurines and vases.
  4. The decorative recess guarantees the safety of the TV - it cannot be hurt or damaged.
  5. All cords and cables will be securely hidden behind a false wall.
  6. A beautifully designed niche can become central element interior.
  7. Soundproofing effect - a niche will help minimize sounds from a neighboring apartment. If the wall is side, then drywall wall can serve as a kind of insulation.

This design has one drawback - this is that the area of \u200b\u200bthe room will decrease slightly.

A niche can look like a rack

Niche types

A plasterboard niche can be built on a wall made of any material - brick, concrete or wood. The design can be rectangular, oval or combined. The first type is subdivided into rectangular-horizontal or rectangular-vertical. The most common is the rectangular-horizontal version due to the ease of its implementation. Such a niche will look organic even in a small apartment.

The most common niche option is rectangular

An oval niche is more difficult to make, but it looks more interesting. For small spaces an oval niche is not suitable, as it visually reduces the space.

The oval looks very catchy

Also niches may differ general design. For example, a niche might look like decorative frame with a recess to match the size of the TV or as a wall with shelves or stained glass windows.

Niche arrangement

  1. Before starting work on a drywall construction, you should carefully consider its design and the location of all communications (sockets, switches for lighting, etc.). There are many options for designing a niche for TV.
  2. It is desirable to highlight the niche spotlights or led strip- then it will look spectacular. Moreover, the lamps can be mounted both at the top and at the bottom of the structure. It is interesting to look at the rays of light emanating from below.
  3. The back of the niche can be finished with different decorative materials- wall-paper, photowall-paper, a stone. You can also paint it in a different color - lighter or darker than the entire wall.
  4. A niche can consist of several sections in which shelves, columns or decor will be located. You can even place an aquarium or an electric fireplace in the section.
  5. IN special occasions drywall construction for a TV can even zone a room. If you make it rotating, then the TV can be viewed from different angles.
  6. The stylistic arrangement of the elements is also important. The symmetrical design is inherent classic style and will look good in the bedroom. The asymmetrical composition is suitable for high-tech, modern and minimalist styles. It is most often used in the case when it is impossible to allocate an entire wall for TV or if there is a door nearby. Asymmetry is good for zoned or combined rooms - a kitchen-living room, a child's room.

Photo gallery: design options for niches in the interior

A niche can be made in a false plasterboard wall Stone trim imitates a fireplace Very often, several niches of different functions are made in one wall.
If you paint a niche in a different color, it will perform the function of zoning Making a semicircular niche will be more difficult You can sew into a niche and real fireplace
Multiple finishes can be combined
A niche can act as bright accent For scandinavian style the niche is painted in White color
If space permits, the niche can be made deeper False niches look beautiful The most simple design looks like a hole in the wall
Asymmetry is a good technique for rooms in Art Nouveau style.

Create a sketch

The more data with exact dimensions will be on the sketch, the less likely it is to be reworked. First, a sketch is made, which is checked and corrected in the process. Sketch creation steps:

  1. Is drawn metal carcass from profile for drywall construction. All the nuances are taken into account - load, location, reinforcing jumpers.
  2. Electrical wiring is included in the sketch - sockets, wires and a lighting circuit (if any). Sockets can be placed both below and behind the TV, adding room for the bend of the wire and the plug itself.
  3. Cost-effective cutting of drywall sheets.

The sketch should be as detailed as possible.

At this stage, it is already necessary to decide on the finish, because certain materials have their own thickness, which also needs to be included in the drawing. If it's a tile or finishing stone, then at least 5 cm, plus the same amount for tile adhesive.
At least 10 cm is added to the diagonal of the TV in each direction, the same applies to other equipment, such as speakers. The depth of the niche should be such that you can stick your hand between the wall and the TV.

Tools and materials

To create a niche, you will need the following tools:

  1. Drill (perforator).
  2. Construction knife or jigsaw.
  3. Bulgarian and discs for metal.
  4. Metal scissors.
  5. Level.
  6. Roulette.
  7. Pencil.
  8. Sandpaper (grid) and skinner.
  9. Spatulas.
  10. Mixer or nozzle on a drill for mixing the solution.

In addition, you need to purchase the following materials:

  1. Drywall 12.5 mm.
  2. Aluminum profile CW and UW.
  3. Self-tapping screws for metal and self-tapping screws with dowels (drive-in) for the frame.
  4. Corner for slopes.
  5. Finishing putty.
  6. Primer.
  7. Decoration Materials.

Niche installation instructions

  1. If the sockets are suitable place no, the first thing is laid in the wall electrical wiring(as well as internet cable and antenna wire). The channels for it are cut with a grinder, puncher or chisel. The wires are laid in the channels, and, after checking the performance, the channels are smeared with starting putty. The wall on which the niche is mounted must be puttied and wiped in advance - before the installation of the frame.

    All wires are sewn into the wall
