You need to know that abundant watering, moist soil is necessary for all varieties of this plant, except for one - the common meadowsweet. This variety does not need abundant watering at all. The plant perfectly tolerates hot, dry weather. This variety prefers light, dry soil, and can get sick and die on acidic soil.

It is propagated, as well as other species, mainly by rhizomes, which are planted shallow in the soil. For vegetative propagation of this species take numerous root tubers.

This beautiful flowering plant does not need any special care. Water, fertilize occasionally using conventional means for ornamental plants. Do shaping pruning as needed, pull out weeds.

Remember that the meadowsweet tolerates winter well, so it does not need to be additionally covered, insulated for the winter.
