How to install pipes for water in the country. How to make plumbing in the country: choose pipes, scheme, installation method. Hose surface water supply for irrigation

On the suburban area one of the conditions for the presence of green spaces is their timely watering. It must be carried out using the plumbing system. In order to save time and resources, you can create a so-called summer water supply system, which will allow you to irrigate the site throughout the season and create water supply for a country house.

For gasket summer plumbing from polyethylene pipes in the country house in the ground, you must perform the following steps:

1. It is necessary to dig a trench of a certain depth. These works should be carried out using a special tool and in accordance with a previously developed scheme. It should be borne in mind that this trench should have a width that would allow not only laying pipes in the ground, but also carrying out installation work there related to connecting the sections. This will create even a winter version of the water supply from the well.

2. Trenching should be carried out after determining the diameter of the pipes that will be used in the plumbing system. First of all, it is necessary to ensure that the installers have the necessary access to it during the launch and adjustment works. Therefore, experts recommend making the width of the trench an average of 40 centimeters larger than the diameter of the pipe itself. This distance is due to the fact that it is very difficult to ensure a uniform width of the trench throughout the depth due to the work being done with a shovel.

3. If the trenching work is carried out using special equipment in the form of a chain excavator, then its width may be slightly less. This can be done due to the fact that the walls of the trench will have a strictly vertical shape, which means that its width will be the same throughout the entire depth.

When laying the pipe, attention should also be paid to the bottom of the trench.

1. If the bottom of the trench has solid ground, then before laying the polyethylene pipe, it is necessary to sprinkle it with sand. The layer of sand at the bottom of the trench should not be less than 10 centimeters.

2. Next, it is necessary to carry out the laying of this type of pipes on the bottom, given that it must be even at its base. The bottom is not allowed to have significant irregularities or various pits. This can lead during the operation of the water supply system to its premature exit due to pipe breakage. Therefore, after digging a trench, it is necessary to cover all the irregularities with earth, and then carefully compact them using a tool called a rammer.

Such preparatory work will allow to make high-quality installation of a summer water supply system from polyethylene pipes. This involves the additional installation of a water pressure reducer in the water supply system, as well as water pumps for domestic water supply. It is polyethylene pipes for cold water supply that should be used on personal plot.

The wizard will tell you how to connect plastic pipes for water supply is correct. This will increase the throughput of water pipes at the nominal depth of the water pipe.

3. In the case when the bottom is rather soft, it is necessary to carry out work on its compaction at the beginning, and then proceed to laying the pipe. It is possible to carry out such work with the help of a water supply master, who will additionally install a filter at the entrance to the house to soften tap water. Also, the specialist will perform the installation of water supply at a high-quality level. This will allow the water pressure in the plumbing system in a private house to remain at a constant level.

The pressure in the water supply system is usually measured in atmospheres. It is worth noting that for a summer water supply in a country house, a pressure equal to one atmosphere can be considered normal. A pressure equal to three atmospheres is also allowed. If the pressure in the pipes is greater than the upper limit, then situations of pipe rupture are possible.
If we take the international system for measuring the magnitude of pressure, then the value in Pascal is taken as its unit.

In order not to get confused later in the translation from one measurement system to another, we can say that one atmosphere of pressure will be equal to 98066.5 Pascals.
Now the measurement of pressure in Pascals is becoming more common. It is worth noting that all specifications pipes and their components are given in such a system.

Depth of laying water pipes

The depth to which water pipes must be placed depends on several factors. Among them are the following parameters:

  1. Temperature indicators in the area where the laying of polyethylene pipes is supposed.
  2. Soil properties on the site and its freezing depth in winter.
  3. Nominal temperature indicator in the pipeline itself.
  4. Vegetation cover on the site. This is an important circumstance that can determine the possibility of digging a trench for laying pipes.
  5. The amount of time the sun is present.
  6. The amount of precipitation in a given area during the year. This volume also includes the amount of snow.
  7. The period of time during which it is planned to supply water to the site.
  8. The presence or absence of groundwater near the system. The distance from the pipe of such waters is very important here.

Based on such data, the following trench depth parameters are set for Moscow and the Moscow region:

  • 1.9 meters for soil, which consists of large elements;
  • 1.3 meters for clay and subclay soils;
  • 1.7 meters for gravel;
  • 1.6 meters for soil containing sand and sandy loam.

If we are talking about northern latitudes, then the figures given must be increased by about four times.

What pipe to use for underground water supply

In order to install the water supply system on your own site, you must first determine the type of pipes that will be used. To do this, you should know that now the water supply system at the dacha can be created using several types of pipes.

The following types of pipes are currently used:

1. Metal pipes

Their main advantage is high strength. Among the shortcomings, one can note a high degree of corrosion and, as a result, a short service life.

2. Metal pipes

Such products are not subject to corrosion and have significant strength to mechanical influences. At the same time, their cost is somewhat higher than metal ones and therefore their use is limited by the means of the owner of the site.

3. Polyethylene pipes

This is perhaps the best option of those that are now on the market. In comparison with the second type of pipes, they have a lower cost, but at the same time they have practically the same properties as metal-plastic pipes. Therefore, they can be used to create water supply systems on the site, both open-type and in the form of underground communications.

How much does it cost to install plumbing in a private house

The cost of plumbing a home depends on many factors.
Now the average cost of water supply works is the following figures:

  1. The installation of a water supply point is approximately 800 rubles.
  2. Holding installation work per linear meter of the system will cost from 150 rubles.
  3. The installation of leads for the summer shower will cost 2,000 rubles.

Heating wire for plumbing

In order for the water supply system to have no problems with freezing, it is necessary to take care of forced heating. There are many options for this. Now experts recommend using the so-called heating wire.

The use of this type of equipment allows achieving a number of advantages.

  1. For example, the amount of heating can be adjusted independently. This will depend on the temperature outside.
  2. This wire is easy to install. Simply install it on top of the pipe and connect to the network.
  3. This type of cable can be used equally effectively in different heating options. It is possible to place it inside the pipe.
  4. This type of cable will allow the water in the pipe not to freeze. To do this, you must first correctly make the calculations. This will then allow you to mount and create effective system warming up the plumbing. Such work can only be performed by a specialist who has the appropriate qualifications.

The installation of a summer water supply system based on polyethylene pipes must be carried out with the help of qualified specialists in strict accordance with technological requirements. This approach will create reliable system, which can work for quite a long period of time.

Having your own well in the country is good, but sooner or later you will get tired of carrying several dozen buckets of water a day. Therefore, we suggest that you think about the construction of a water supply system. If the cost of such a project stops you, then we hasten to reassure you: today you can build a cheap and reliable water supply system from plastic pipes, to which a mixer from http://santexmania.ru/smesiteli/brand-grohe/ can then be connected. Such a plastic water pipe in the country will help you solve the issue of delivering water to the house, to the beds using irrigation systems, etc.

Water main

When developing a project for a water main, keep in mind that it should consist of two parts: internal and external. Water is delivered to the house along the last highway, the internal one helps to distribute water inside the dwelling.

To equip the internal highway, it will be necessary to stock up on pipes, water intake fittings and fittings that will help connect the pipes into a full-fledged water supply. For the outside, you will also need a pump, filters and a water source. A more complex do-it-yourself plastic water supply device in the country also involves installing a battery that will help control water intake, protect your pump from overloads, and you will also need automation that will regulate the process of water intake, valves, etc.

Even at the time of the development of the water supply project, it will be necessary to take into account that access to the system must be easy so that maintenance or repair of the water supply can be carried out in a timely manner.

Water source for plumbing

An important point is the source of water. Summer residents have several options to provide their plot with water.

The simplest of them is the connection to the central highway. It is important here that the pressure in such a water supply is sufficient in order to provide your house with water. It will be easy to build such a water supply system: you will need to dig trenches in the area for laying pipes, lay them and connect them. But, unfortunately, connection to the central highways is not always possible for various reasons.

Another source of water for a do-it-yourself plastic water supply in the country is a mine well. To do this, you will need to dig the well itself. Remember that the main condition here is the depth of the water, it should not be more than 10 meters. This option is also considered one of the most optimal, you will be able to independently carry out maintenance of the entire system, when you need it, you will regulate the intake and supply of water yourself. Maintaining a mine well is easy. Among the disadvantages of such water supply is limited water intake. In addition, for such a water supply system, it is imperative to install a pump; a simple surface model will do.

The third option is to dig a well. This option is suitable for areas where groundwater is deepened by more than 10 meters. The big disadvantage of this option is that digging a well is not a cheap pleasure, you cannot do it yourself, you will need to rent special equipment. On the other hand, the well will allow you to provide the house with clean water in sufficient quantities.

In addition to drilling a well, you will also have to spend money on a good submersible or borehole pump.

Varieties of water pipes

One of the most simple options plumbing is a summer plastic plumbing in the country. His main disadvantage- use only in the warm season. But for a dacha, this is not critical, because usually we come here only at this time.

You can make such a water supply both stationary and collapsible. For a collapsible version, hoses and a pump are used to organize the supply of water to the house, and plastic plumbing is already being laid around the house. Stationary option involves the mandatory laying of pipes underground. Plastic pipes are laid at a depth of about a meter. Before the onset of winter, it is important to completely pump out water from the pipes by means of a pump so that the water supply system does not freeze.

The second option is winter water supply, it is needed if you plan to visit the country house in the winter season. Plastic pipes for winter water supply in the country can be taken in two types - polypropylene or polyethylene. Polypropylene ones are somewhat more expensive, in addition, a special soldering iron is required to install them. The second option is cheaper and does not require the use of special equipment. On the other hand, for such a water supply system, you will need to buy expensive components.

The laying and planning of winter plumbing should be approached more thoroughly and seriously.

Winter plumbing installation

For winter water supply, it will be necessary to develop a detailed scheme-plan for its placement. Keep in mind that pipes are laid for such a water supply at an angle to the water source.

Winter water pipes are laid below the ground freezing level, a trench is dug at least 20 centimeters deeper than this level. If it is not possible to dig such deep trenches, then additional insulation for the pipes must be made so that the water in them does not freeze in winter. Insulation is usually cylindrical polyethylene.

Insulation will be required not only for pipes, but also for the source of water itself. Also, if you install a surface pump, you will need to additionally install a caisson. You will also need to think about the insulation of the sewer.

The construction of a water supply system in the country takes place in several stages:

  1. First, a diagram is drawn, indicating on the plan the water intake points, the location of the fittings and other points. By finished scheme perform a detailed drawing, where all nodes and dimensions of the pipeline are marked.
  2. Prepare everything you need: purchase pipes, fittings, a pump and other equipment provided for by your water supply drawing.
  3. Further, trenches are dug from the water source to the house for laying pipes.
  4. Deep pump lowered into a well or well. The surface is placed near the well, equipping it with a caisson.
  5. Next, connect the pipe: on the one hand to the pump, on the other to the five-pin fitting.
  6. Next, you can install a pressure gauge, pressure switch, battery. They are attached to the fitting.
  7. A pipe is attached to the last outlet of the fitting and the installation of the external water supply line begins. An armored electric cable is laid in the same trench, which will provide power to the pump, battery. Don't forget to ground the outlet.
  8. Before entering the water supply to the house, a shut-off valve is installed.
  9. Before backfilling the trench, check the operation of the outer part of the plumbing, make sure that all connections are tight.
  10. Next, do the internal wiring of the pipeline. Install a cleaning system; filters are used for these purposes. Do the wiring of pipes around the house, based on the needs of the residents. The country water supply system is no different from the apartment one, so you can take your home wiring as a basis.
  11. If you need hot water in the country, you will need to install a boiler to heat the water.

Let us dwell in detail on a do-it-yourself country water supply system, which can work smoothly both in winter and in summer time. Before installing the water supply, you need to choose a source of drinking water. The easiest and cheapest way to supply fresh water is to build an ordinary well.

The depth of the well depends on how deep the groundwater is in the area.

But the well mainly supplies water in small volumes - 100-200 liters per hour, and well water can also contain various impurities: heavy metals, nitrates, bacteria.

Best suited, or with the help of specialists up to a depth of 30-40 meters. About 1.5 m 3 of water per hour can be pumped out of such a well, which for a small country house and enough space.

A sand well is drilled using a screw method, that is, the rock is brought to the surface. Drilling a well can take 3-7 days, and the installation of special filtration equipment will be required to filter the water. The life of a well can be fifty or more years.

The term winter plumbing does not mean at all that its use is limited only in winter. This means that the water supply is focused on permanent off-season work, and its operation is allowed both in winter and in summer.

To get water from a well. Do-it-yourself installation of a winter water supply system in a country house involves connecting the pump to a constant power source, so it is allowed to combine cable and water supply in one casing. Usually plastic sewer pipes are used for this.

Pipes protect communications from both mechanical damage and freezing.

For installation, plastic pipes can be connected by soldering or plastic fittings. For soldering pipes, a special electric soldering iron is used. You can not buy such a soldering iron, but rent it.

Connections on fittings do not require any special tools except wrenches. For winter water supply, you can use plastic pipes Ø20 mm or Ø25 mm.

Pipe Fittings

To install a water pipe with your own hands, you can use or. The installation of the water supply should be carried out at a depth below the freezing depth of the soil in the area. The simplest solution to not determine the freezing depth:

  1. A plastic pipe, which is laid to a depth of 60 centimeters, is covered with a layer of insulation made of foam plastic chips, coal slag or expanded clay with a thickness of 20-30 cm. The main condition for backfilling is that the insulation must not absorb moisture well and be strong enough not to compact under soil pressure.
  2. The water supply is insulated with special thermal insulation and a corrugated polyethylene casing. Using such a system of insulation, the trench can be made no more than 30 cm deep.
  3. , which will allow laying pipes directly on the ground. But this method is too costly financially.

The trench for the water supply should approach the house at an angle of 90 °, since digging the foundation should not be accompanied by shrinkage.

To connect the pump, a pit is made near the well with a depth of at least a meter. The dimensions of the pit are 70 × 70 cm. The walls need to be strengthened - laid out with bricks or boards impregnated with an antiseptic. The bottom of the pit is filled with concrete or covered with rubble.

A water pipe with a latch for attaching a hose and electrical cable. A pit is needed in order to quickly and conveniently disconnect the pump in case of repair. The pit must be insulated so that the water in the hose does not freeze in winter.

The pump is connected through a waterproof socket. You can also use a contact sealed connector.

Water folding devices

If the water supply is planned to be used in a greenhouse, then cast-iron or bronze valves and taps with axle boxes can be installed. Ball valves are not recommended, as they quickly fail under conditions of prolonged non-use.

The water assembly is the most complex device in the plumbing. It is placed in unheated room or even on the street. It is subject to increased requirements due to harsh operating conditions in winter.

You can also use a water column, but it has two significant drawbacks - complex installation and high cost of the device.

simple circuit

The lower part of the water supply is supplied with a drain hole of small diameter - about 1 mm. If the tap is closed, then the water in through this small hole slowly flows into the pit, so it does not freeze in winter.

If the tap is open, then a small portion of water also flows into the pit and soaks into the ground, but due to the small diameter of the hole, the entire flow of water enters the water supply and passes to the tap.

Such a simplified do-it-yourself water supply scheme in the country house is not without several drawbacks. The main ones are:

  • constant humidity in the pit
  • little water loss.

But its simplicity and reliability made this design very popular in summer cottages and gardens.

Mounting tools

To install a winter or summer water supply, you will need the following tools:

  1. Pipe cutter.
  2. Adjustable wrench, gas wrench and spanners Nos. 17,19,22 and 24.
  3. sanding paper.
  4. Knife, pencil, tape measure.

Either a suitable wrench or a #2 gas wrench may be used to tighten the fittings.

For digging a shallow trench, a shovel and scrap are enough. But first of all, it is necessary to mark the water route on the site, take all measurements and calculate the number of taps, valves and fittings.

Do-it-yourself summer plumbing

Summer water supply in the country is used for watering plants, for organizing a summer shower, and other household needs. In winter, such a water supply system cannot be operated.

It can be made permanent or collapsible.

How is the summer water supply system, which will be operated only in summer?

The most common design is pipes or hoses that are laid directly on the ground. You can arrange such a simple plumbing from silicone or rubber hoses that are connected by adapters.

Adapters can be bought or made from plastic or metal pipes. In the summer water supply, you can also use latches that have "ruffs" for putting on the hose on one side, and on the other - a connector. The latches connect in one motion and provide a secure connection.

It is better to buy a thick-walled rubber hose reinforced with nylon threads. plastic plumbing in the country is very cheap, but rubber hoses will last longer.

To lay a permanent summer water supply at the dacha with your own hands, pipes are laid in the ground, and only water points with taps are brought to the surface. This is done for ease of movement around the site.

The main drawback is that you need to observe the slope to the connection point. A drain valve is installed at the lowest point of the water supply so that the water can be drained in the fall, otherwise the frozen water will simply break the pipes.

Watch two videos about laying pipes and connecting a pumping station.

You can't do without plumbing in the country. Summer water supply - the most common water supply option summer cottages. Thanks to the summer water supply system, full-fledged watering of plants is ensured, time is saved, and work is facilitated. Using pipes made of new materials instead of traditional metal pipes makes plumbing much faster, easier and cheaper.

The summer version of the water supply is quite suitable for seasonal living in the country. Suitable for both irrigation and household appliances, supplying water to the shower, bath, swimming pool, brings comfort to country life. In winter, its use is undesirable or even impossible. Summer water supply is simpler and cheaper than year-round, but less durable.

What water sources are used for summer plumbing

The primary task in arranging a summer water supply is the choice of a water source.

Types of water sources for summer water supply:

  1. Central Highway.
  2. Well.
  3. Well.
  4. Natural reservoir.
  5. Rain water tank.

Central water supply

Perfect option. To connect to a steel main pipe directly under pressure, use an overhead tee (saddle). It is mounted on the entry point and secured with bolts. After that, a ball valve on a fumnit is mounted in it. A hole is drilled through the tap with a drill in the central pipe and the tap is immediately closed.

natural reservoirs

Reservoirs - river, lake, pond. The disadvantage of using open water bodies for country water supply is the need to purify water from foreign impurities.

wells

There are two types of wells designed for water intake - artesian and sandy.

A sand well will require filtration equipment due to the high content of sand and clay. The average water supply rate is about two cubic meters per hour, which is quite enough for summer cottages and small country houses.

Water in an artesian well rises to the surface under pressure. The resulting amount of water is 10 cubic meters per hour. An additional advantage of an artesian well is more pure water through deep drilling. Such wells are durable: on average, the service life is 50 years.

Well

The depth of the well depends on the level of groundwater and usually does not exceed 15 m. The disadvantages of the well include the content of many harmful impurities and a small supply of water - about 200 liters per hour.

Rain water tank

Pools or pools are used as reservoirs for collecting melt and rain water. artificial ponds, plastic and metal containers: tanks, barrels, vats. Drainage pipes are laid to them or drain roofing pipes are brought to them. Water from containers for the winter can not be drained, and so that the walls of the tank do not freeze, place several plastic bottles half filled with water or sand.

What are the summer water supply schemes

After the source of water is determined, you should decide which type of water supply to choose: year-round or only summer.

Summer water supply in a personal plot, dacha, garden is used for watering plants, filling an artificial reservoir, supplying water to a shower, bath, summer kitchen and other household needs. In winter, such a water supply system is not used.

Summer water supply is collapsible and permanent.

Summer collapsible plumbing

In the case of choosing a collapsible water supply, pipes or hoses simply lie on the ground or are raised above it. Such a water supply system is easy to assemble from ordinary silicone or rubber hoses by connecting them together with plastic or steel adapters.

There are special clamps on sale, which have a ribbed cone for the hose on one side, and a convenient elastic connector on the other, which allows you to connect and disconnect hoses in one motion. Such latches create a strong joint.

The advantages of summer collapsible water supply include:

  1. Quick assembly and disassembly.
  2. Quick search for a damaged pipe and repair of a hole.
  3. The cost of a collapsible water supply is lower than a stationary one.

Disadvantages of summer collapsible water supply:

  1. Pipes interfere with movement.
  2. High chance of theft.
  3. The need for assembly and disassembly at the beginning and end of the watering season.

Stationary summer water supply

Permanent water supply is laid underground. For these purposes, you can use thick-walled rubber hoses or plastic pipes. Plastic plumbing at their summer cottage is laid at an angle to the drain valve near the source of water supply. Before the onset of cold weather, the remaining water from the pipeline is completely pumped out to prevent freezing and damage to the pipes.

For a permanent summer water supply scheme, pipes are placed in the ground at a shallow depth, and water taps are brought to the surface.

Advantages of a stationary country water supply:

  1. The pipes are located underground and do not interfere with walking, transporting goods on a trolley.
  2. Installation of summer water supply is carried out once.
  3. The underground location of the pipes serves as protection against theft.
  4. Simple winterization of the system, just open the drain valve and release all the water.

The disadvantages of a stationary summer water supply are:

  1. Larger material costs than in the construction of a collapsible water supply.
  2. Time-consuming installation of water supply due to the need to dig trenches and lay pipes under a slope.
  3. Difficulties with finding and repairing a hole in the pipe.

How to plan a summer plumbing

Before purchasing pipes and proceeding with their assembly, it is necessary to think over a plan and draw up a preliminary drawing, specify all dimensions in detail. You should decide in advance: where to supply water, where the water intake points will be located, how many connections will be needed.

Then, with the help of pegs and twine, the future water pipeline is broken down into land plot, measure and calculate the required footage of pipes, the number of angles, tees, taps and other Supplies. In any case, a small supply of components will not hurt. A good plan is the key to success, saving effort, time and money.

The project should indicate the existing and planned underground communications, paths, buildings, plantings, especially if mounted permanent scheme summer plumbing. When installing a stationary summer water supply, trenches are prepared for laying pipes. The depth of laying pipes is usually 30-40 cm.

However, if the pipes lie under the beds, and there is a possibility of damaging them with a shovel or cultivator, then the trench depth is increased to 50-70 cm. This is a laborious process, but replacing broken pipes and eliminating leaks is even more difficult. Pipes come to the surface of the earth only in places of water supply.

When planning a permanent water supply, it is important to remember that all pipes in the trench are laid at a slope towards the connection to the water intake. A drain valve is installed at the lowest part of the pipeline. This will drain the water for the winter and avoid damage to the pipes. It is necessary to determine in advance the places for supplying water.

The number of points of consumption depends on the location of the beds, greenhouses, summer showers, baths, pools. In order not to transfer the hose from place to place, it is more reasonable to bring pipes out at 5-10 points. Hose sections 3-5 m long are connected to such hydrants, which ensures watering of each separate zone. At all points of consumption, a bayonet is mounted for quick connection of a hose or an automatic spray system.

Before cutting off hoses or sawing pipes, you should carefully measure the required length with a tape measure, put marks with a marker, and only then proceed with cutting. This approach, according to the principle of measure seven times - cut once, will save you from annoying mistakes and additional costs.

What materials, devices and tools are required for arranging a summer water supply

For the installation of a summer water supply in a summer cottage, the following materials and tools will be required:

  1. Pipes and hoses.
  2. Fittings and tees.
  3. Compression sleeves with external thread (20; 1/2).
  4. Adjustable wrench, gas wrench, wrenches No. 17-24.
  5. Special cutter for plastic water pipes or a hacksaw for metal.
  6. Shovel.
  7. Soldering iron. If you plan to connect pipes by welding, instead of fittings and a gas wrench, use a special electric soldering iron. Soldering irons are inexpensive, and in some construction stores even available for rent.
  8. Ball valve 1/2.
  9. Corner compression 20 mm.
  10. Tee compression 20 mm.
  11. Saddle 63 (1/2).
  12. Fumnitka.
  13. Adjustable wrench, gas wrench and wrenches No. 17-24.
  14. sanding paper.
  15. Knife, tape measure, pencil.

Pipes

Pipes for assembling a summer water supply system on an average summer cottage with an area of 10 acres are preferably plastic or polyethylene (diameter 20-25 mm, length 100 m). Reliable uninterrupted water supply largely depends on the quality of the pipes. Green polypropylene pipes from Banninger with a diameter of 25 mm have proven themselves well. They are more expensive than traditional white pipes, but they are resistant to temperature changes and can even withstand frost.

Hoses

Hoses can be used instead of pipes.

Rubber hoses with thick walls reinforced with nylon fibers are stronger and more durable, they will reliably serve for 15 years.

Fittings and tees

The wiring of summer water pipes is carried out using tees, and special fittings are best suited for connecting plastic pipes. The use of fittings allows you to assemble a country water supply in just one day. In this case, the joint is sealed, and if necessary, the structure can be easily disassembled.

Scheme of a collapsible summer water supply from hoses

The simplest design is summer water supply from flexible hoses. The collapsible hose system is quite simple. With the onset of heat, the hoses are connected to the pump and laid on the surface of the earth so that they do not interfere with free movement around the summer cottage.

Hoses are rubber and silicone. To connect them, use purchased or homemade devices: steel and plastic adapters, jumpers, pieces of pipes or special latches that allow you to quickly disconnect or connect two pieces of water supply. On the one hand they have a spring connector, and on the other - "ruff". This brace provides a strong and reliable connection.

Now they produce non-twisting hoses with special reinforcement. There are corrugated hoses, capable of stretching to a considerable length and very compact when compressed.

Hoses and accessories for drip irrigation.

Basically, water supply from hoses is used for watering in the country. In autumn, the hoses and the pump are folded and put away into the room.

Summer plumbing assembly procedure

Determine where to place the leads: entrance to the greenhouse, platform for the car, Summer shower, washbasin, swimming pool, flower garden, etc. The hose is more convenient to attach and remove at an intersection or on a wide path.

Measure the distance and calculate the required pipe length. For the arrangement of summer water supply, plastic or polyethylene pipes are best suited. It is convenient to connect them with flexible hoses. This design of the water supply, if necessary, is easy to redo. You can connect pipes with special plastic fittings or by soldering. In addition, to assemble a summer water supply, you will need tees, taps, corners.

It is advisable to dig pipes in order to preserve and increase their service life.

Check the pressure in the pipeline. If from a fully open tap water flows under good pressure, then pipes of small cross section - 20 mm are enough. At low pressure (less than 2 bar) do not install more than three output points, as they will not be able to work simultaneously. At low pressure, it is recommended to take a larger pipe - with a section of 25 mm. Larger pipes are also used for large plots over 30 m long.

As a rule, at the junction of the central line and the pipeline of the site, an inlet valve or valve with a diameter of 1/2 (marking 15) with an internal thread is installed.

The HDPE pipe is attached to the inlet valve with a coupling. If the tap is with an internal thread, then, accordingly, the coupling is with an external one, and vice versa.

A tee is placed at the fork in the pipe, from the tee - a piece of pipe, on which a hose is put on through a tap with an adapter. For a pipeline with a diameter of 20 mm, the kit is suitable:

  • coupling with external thread 20 mm to 3/4,
  • 3/4 tap with external or internal thread,
  • adapter for 3/4 hoses with female thread.

For pipes with a cross section of 25 mm, the following accessories are used:

  1. A crane from the same HDPE 25 to 3/4.
  2. Adapter for hoses with external thread 3/4.

You will also need:

  1. Coupling for inlet valve.
  2. Tees.
  3. Kits for fixing hoses at outlet points.
  4. Pipes.
  5. Fum-tape for sealing threaded connections.
  6. Elbows for installation at pipe bends.

First of all, all threaded connections are assembled.

The main task when assembling threaded connections is to prevent leakage. In a threaded connection, on one side there is an external thread, on the other - an internal thread. A fum-tape is wound tightly and without folds along the external thread in 6-8 layers clockwise (the thread is turned up). Then the parts are screwed in, tightly pressing one to the other, trying not to warp. Then lightly tighten with a gas wrench.

For fixing in the coupling, the pipe is evenly cut with a knife or a fine-toothed hacksaw to get a smooth edge. Slightly loosen the clamping nut. Insert the pipe tightly. In this case, the pipe at a depth of approximately 5 cm first abuts against the rubber sealing ring inside the coupling. It is necessary to push the pipe another 2 cm further so that the pipe passes through the ring until it stops. Then tighten the clamping nut by hand.

The hose can be connected to the water supply using quick couplings. Couplings come in various modifications, the main thing is that they match the diameter of the hose. All kinds of watering guns, sprayers are sold complete with couplings.

Very handy couplers with aquastop, which shuts off the water when disconnecting or replacing watering or gun, eliminating the need to turn off the faucet.

Summer water supply can be equipped with a timer, and then watering will be carried out according to the schedule, even in the absence of the owners.

Plumbing for year-round use

Most often, water from a well is supplied using a submersible pump. Pump power is selected depending on the depth of the well. For a depth of 10 m, "aquarius" or "brook" is suitable. To draw water from a well, you will need a much more powerful pump.

When installing a year-round water supply in the country, the pump is connected to a voltage source, and the cable and water supply are laid together in a single casing assembled from plastic sewer pipes. The casing serves to protect the water supply from mechanical damage and freezing.

The depth of the trench for laying the water supply should be below the freezing level of the soil. Digging such a trench is a laborious task. You can make the task easier by digging a trench to a depth of 60 cm, and pour a layer of insulation 20-30 cm thick on top of the pipe. Sufficiently strong materials with low moisture absorption are used as insulation: foam chips, polyethylene, furnace slag, expanded clay .

A pit 70x70 cm and a depth of 1 m is dug near the well. The pit serves to connect the pump to the water supply, and, if necessary, quickly disconnect and remove the pump. The walls of the pit are lined with bricks or reinforced with antiseptic impregnated boards. The bottom is poured concrete mortar or covered with rubble and compacted. A water pipe with a “ruff” for a hose connected to the pump, as well as an electric cable, is brought out and fixed into the pit.

To prevent the water in the pump hose from freezing, the pit is insulated. A small drain hole with a diameter of about 1 mm is made in the lower part of the water supply system, thanks to which the water in the water supply system slowly flows into the pit and does not freeze in winter.

The disadvantage of this scheme is the constant humidity in the pit and a slight loss of water.

To safely turn the pump on and off, install a waterproof socket or use a sealed contact connector.

In the conditions of the street, ordinary cranes with crane boxes are most often installed, and even better, bronze or cast-iron valves. It is undesirable to use ball valves; under the influence of precipitation and temperature fluctuations, they quickly fail.

The most complex unit of the year-round water supply is the fountain unit located in an unheated room. Most often, special devices are used for such purposes - water columns. A significant disadvantage of the column is the high cost of equipment and the complexity of installation.

How to install an autonomous water supply

If there is a central highway, then installing a summer water supply on your site is not difficult. Autonomous water supply is a more difficult task.

Ideally, an autonomous water supply scheme is drawn up in parallel with the design of a house and a plot: they determine the location of pipes and mechanisms, carry out a phased plan, calculate an estimate, and purchase equipment. For a boiler-water meter unit, they usually allocate small room area of 2-3 m² on the ground floor. It is convenient to monitor and regulate the process of water supply, if technical block and the water inlet unit are installed in the same room.

The autonomous water supply system includes the following equipment:

  1. Pipes (metal, metal-plastic, polypropylene).
  2. Fittings and taps.
  3. Water-lifting equipment (pumping station, submersible pump).
  4. Pressure control devices in the plumbing system (pressure gauge, pressure switch, accumulator or expansion tank).
  5. Electrical equipment with automatic protection.
  6. Filters for water purification from harmful impurities and suspended particles.
  7. Water heater (preferably storage).

Installation of pumping equipment

A pre-prepared well, a capturing spring chamber, a well are used as a source of water. Each source has advantages and disadvantages. For example, in a well, the water is cleaner, but drilling is expensive. It is much cheaper to dig a well and install a submersible pump with a three-stage water filter.

There are the following types of pumping equipment for drawing water from a source:

  1. Submersible pump.
  2. Surface pump.
  3. Automatic pumping station.

Submersible pump

It is used at a water level of 20 m, it works silently. For pump models with check valve in addition, a hydraulic accumulator, a filtration unit, an automatic block and a distributing unit with fittings are required. For contaminated water sources, it is recommended to choose a pump with a stainless metal impeller.

Surface pump

They are used at a water level of less than 8 m. Installed indoors, connected to a well with a supply pipe.

Automatic pumping station

The electric motor and the hydraulic part are separated by a partition. A generator, diesel or gasoline, is used to pump out groundwater and irrigate the site. The station includes: a pump, a hydraulic accumulator and an automation unit. The hydraulic accumulator serves as a reserve tank and limits the frequent activation of the pump. Inexpensive stations work noisily, so it is better to install a new generation of pumping equipment.

Installation of a stationary summer water supply

For a permanent structure, plastic or polyethylene HDPE pipes that are connected by flexible hoses.

Such a connection allows you to easily and quickly redesign and improve the entire pipeline system. Another mounting method is welding with electric soldering iron or connection with special plastic fittings. Pipes are laid in shallow grooves (30-35 cm) and fall asleep.

Only cranes are brought to the surface of the earth. Advantages: no obstruction when walking, mowing the lawn and using the trolley, more aesthetic appearance. If desired, pipes or hoses are easy to dig out and disassemble. The disadvantage of underground construction is that there is a possibility of accidental damage to the system during excavation.

To make it easy to drain water from the pipeline in autumn, create a slight slope for draining. A valve is installed in the lowest part of the water supply system: through which it is drained so that frozen water does not break pipes and hoses in winter.

It is especially important to ensure the safety of the electrical network. For this purpose, sealed connectors and waterproof sockets are used.

Plumbing of any type, summer collapsible or permanent, should be done in such a way that it is easy to eliminate unforeseen breakdowns without resorting to the complete dismantling of the plumbing.

How to assemble a summer water supply from plastic pipes

When arranging a summer water supply in conditions of positive air temperature and using only cold water, almost all types of polypropylene pipes are suitable. The service life of PN-10 pipes, designed to supply water with a temperature of 30 ° C and an operating pressure of 11.1 kgf / cm 2, is 50 years; pipes PN-20 intended for transportation hot water 60 ° C at an operating pressure of 10.9 kgf / cm 2 will last even longer.

The main part of the summer water supply is best made from 25 mm pipes. Pipes of smaller diameter do not provide structural rigidity. Pipes 2 m long fit easily on the trunk of a car. For the assembly of the water supply, straight and angled couplings are used. It is advisable to install a coarse filter at the entrance to the main line in the form of a separate unit or combined with a ball valve.

Summer water supply from HDPE pipes is the easiest to assemble and maintain. It is easy to assemble without special tools and does not deteriorate in winter (only the taps remain fully open for the winter).

To quickly disconnect the entire water supply from the central line, a coupling with a union nut, the so-called "American", is installed. Such a coupling allows, if necessary, to connect and disconnect both rigid and flexible lines without touching the threaded connections in other parts of the pipeline. It will take several releases to consolidate watering hose and a separate domestic outlet with 1/2 ball valves. Polypropylene pipes are connected to metal elements by means of combined transition fittings, which have a welding socket at one end and a thread at the other.

Pipes of 20 mm are quite suitable for supplying water to the shower room, they are fixed on the wall of the utility block with plastic clips at intervals of 1 m.

Almost all summer water pipes are freely laid directly on the surface of the earth. No need for special means protection of pipes from thermal deformation and stress.

Drainage of water from all lines of the summer water supply is organized as simply and conveniently as possible. It is advisable to install standard tees with plug plugs in the lowest places of the pipeline.

How to prepare plastic pipes for summer plumbing

If the relief of the suburban area is uneven, when laying pipes in some places of the water supply system, excessive stress is created due to a slight bend. To eliminate the increased pressure, it is enough to slightly bend the pipe using a building hair dryer with a special nozzle.

When assembling the system, it is necessary to adjust the polypropylene pipes to the required length. For cutting plastic pipes with a cross section of up to 40 mm, special scissors are used. There are scissors for cutting pipes with a diameter of up to 75mm. But most often for plastic pipes of 50 mm or more, a roller cutter is used.

When working with a cutter, additional processing of the ends of non-reinforced pipes is not required. If the installation volume is small, it is quite possible to cut plastic pipes with a conventional hacksaw, electric jigsaw or grinder.

Preparing trenches for summer plumbing

The next stage in the arrangement of the water supply is the preparation of the trench. Its depth depends on the location of the pipes: 15-20 cm is enough for the lawn, and 40-70 cm for the beds. They start digging from the water source, then lay all the pipes in the trench and securely connect them together. After laying and docking pipes, check the plumbing for leaks. It should not be allowed to bend the water supply in short sections due to the possible stagnation of water. Then proceed to the connection of water-folding devices.

Water intake devices

If the pipeline is designed to supply water to the greenhouse, then cast-iron or bronze valves and taps with axle boxes are installed. Ball valves are not recommended, as they fail quite quickly.

The water assembly is the most complex device in the plumbing. It is equipped in an unheated room or on the street. The standpipe is used less frequently due to complex installation and high cost.

How does a soldering iron for welding plastic pipes

soldering irons available domestic production good quality and at a reasonable price, complete with a handy metal case, pipe cutters, tape measure and gloves. There are also less expensive modifications - without additional equipment and with fewer nozzles.

The welding soldering iron for polypropylene and polyethylene pipes consists of three main parts:

  1. Soldering iron with heating element (plate with heating element) and control unit (switches, temperature relay, indicators).
  2. Replaceable nozzles for heating pipes and fittings. They are bolted to the heating plate through special holes. The nozzles are made of aluminum alloy with anti-adhesion Teflon coating and require careful and careful handling. It is forbidden to clean them with metal brushes and abrasive products in order to avoid damage to the Teflon surface.
  3. Stand for fixing the device in the process welding work.

How to weld polypropylene pipes correctly

Diffusion welding of polypropylene pipes occurs due to partial surface melting of the parts to be joined when heated using a welding machine. The operating temperature for welding polypropylene is 260°C. In order for the welding joint to be strong, the parts to be welded must have the same properties. It is not recommended to weld pipes from different manufacturers.

Fittings and pipes different brands differ in softening rate, diameter tolerance. The welding process itself is not complicated and takes a little time. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the time intervals allotted according to the instructions for each phase: heating - welding - cooling.

Both parts prepared for welding are simultaneously attached to the nozzles of the welding machine: the fitting is put on the mandrel nozzle, and the pipe is inserted into the coupling nozzle.

It is impossible to rotate and move the pipe and fitting during heating, therefore both parts are tried on relative to each other in advance and marked with colored markers for convenience. The heating time is counted after the completion of putting on the pipe and fitting on the nozzles.

At the end of heating, the parts are removed from the nozzles and connected: the end of the pipe is inserted all the way into the fitting socket. The countdown of the welding time starts from the moment the pipe is connected to the fitting. The connected parts are fixed and held motionless, preventing displacement during the welding time indicated in the instructions.

Refrigeration of parts is prohibited. compressed air or cold water.

The final phase is the cooling of parts. During this period of time, until complete cooling and recovery mechanical strength parts can not load the connection.

After the end of the cooling stage, they start welding the following joints or installing the assembled unit in the allotted place. After the test plumbing system pipes are sprinkled with earth or left on the surface.

Leads with taps are installed throughout the site, on which a piece of hose of the required length is attached in one motion. With the help of a variety of sprinklers, you can simultaneously water in several places at once.

Rules for servicing the summer water supply system

Along with the indisputable advantages of summer water supply, ease and speed of assembly, cost-effectiveness, there are some disadvantages - for example, the need to drain water for the winter and observe the slope of the pipes to the connection point. Otherwise, the water will freeze in the pipes and a defect in the part of the water supply will form. To drain the water at the lowest point of the system, a special valve is mounted. It is necessary to choose the correct slope, otherwise the water pressure will be weak.

If the water supply is ground, disassemble the structure with subsequent storage indoors. It is necessary to periodically check the condition of pipes and connecting elements and, if necessary, replace individual parts.

When arranging a permanent summer water supply, pipes and hoses are laid in the ground, with taps and switches brought to the surface. There is no need to dig the structure to a great depth. It is enough just to fill the pipeline with earth to ensure its safety and not create obstacles for walking.

What will be the summer water supply in the country - the simplest scheme from improvised materials or modern design With automatic control- everyone chooses for himself. In any case, the arrangement of the water supply system at the dacha will fully justify the efforts made and the funds spent. To paraphrase a classic: plumbing is not a luxury, but a means for irrigation. Thanks to the summer pipeline, water is supplied to the farthest corners of the garden, and then you can forget about heavy buckets and watering cans and spend your free time with family and friends.

Inveterate summer residents and adherents of summer country life are well aware of the problems associated with the lack of water supply. But water is constantly needed by plants for irrigation, animals, owners for hygienic and culinary purposes. How you want to just open the tap and get it in the required volume, even in country conditions. Do you agree?

We offer a thorough analysis of the methods, valuable advice on the choice of source, laying of ground and underground pipelines. The basis for the information provided is normative documents and expert advice. The information is supported by selections of photos and videos.

The dacha irrigation system in practice turns out to be a vague and indefinite concept. For some, this is a couple of galvanized buckets and several hours a day spent on difficult "walks" to the well and back, for others - a long flexible hose, constantly clinging and bending, for others - a complex system of pipes leading from a well or pond to every corner of the garden.

We will consider the most optimal options, excluding large physical exercise and reducing financial costs during their construction to a minimum.

Of course, a seasonal water supply system can have additional functions, for example, to supply water to the garage to wash the car, or to provide an outdoor shower. However, they are possible only when a competent project has been drawn up and there are no complaints about laying a summer water supply, otherwise, instead of convenient functionality, you will get many reasons for repairs.

Do not forget that the summer modification differs from the winter one in some aspects of installation and maintenance:

  • deep trenches are not needed for laying pipes, but grooves up to 0.7-0.8 m deep are enough;
  • during the warm period there is no need to insulate the pipeline;
  • for permanent systems, it is necessary to think over a drain system (for collapsible communications, drain occurs spontaneously during dismantling);
  • temporary collapsible pipelines are connected in series, more serious, stationary - using a collector.

The difference also applies to the choice of pumping equipment. For example, a submersible or surface pump is enough to supply water to the garden from a well throughout the summer period. For a permanent system that operates year-round, a powerful pumping station is required, equipped with a water heater and a storage tank.

The main purpose of the external branch of the summer water supply is to water lawns, flower beds, beds, shrubs and trees; it functions temporarily and is used exclusively during the summer period (for some regions from early spring to late autumn)

The choice of irrigation system largely depends on the duration of the warm period. Suppose, for the harsh north, where summer lasts 3 or even 2 months, a collapsible scheme is quite enough.

And for the southern regions, where planting begins in early spring, it is better to build a solid, strong, reliable stationary water supply.

One of the options for supplying water to a garden plot is the Al-ko Jet 3000 surface pump (capacity - 3100 l / h, power - 650 W). Suitable for pumping clean water from a well or well

Choice of water source

The performance, length of the structure and other operational capabilities of the irrigation system largely depend on the water source to which it will be connected.

Here is the list options for watering:

  • (relevant both for new, newly developed sites, and for old, perennial properties);
  • a natural body of water (for example, a pond originally located on the territory of a garden plot);
  • centralized highway (necessary for water supply of modern cottage settlements).

An excellent addition to the formation of a reserve will be a storage tank for, the filling of which depends on the vagaries of the weather, and a VOC storage well, in which purified, separated from insoluble sediment is accumulated waste water.

Most often, in addition to the main source, there is a backup, for example, a large plastic tank located at a height of 1-1.5 m. If the power is suddenly turned off and the pump stops, watering is carried out from the tank.

Detailed diagram of the installation of a biological treatment plant with drainage well, from which, using a submersible pump and a system of pipes (hoses), you can organize the irrigation of lawns, gardens, garden crops

A simple, albeit costly, solution is to connect to a central highway. The pipe leading to the place of irrigation is cut into the main pipe using a tee and a ball valve without shutting off, under pressure, since pre-assembly tap allows you to drill a hole through it.

Irrigation from a natural source requires installation additional system filters, because most of the budget pumps work only with clean water. The filter is also necessary for equipment immersed in a well or sand well.

Cleaner water is in an artesian well, but it requires a special deep submersible pump ( popular brands- Gileks, Grundfos, Patriot, Belamos,).

The old metal barrels were replaced by comfortable plastic containers designed to collect rainwater from the roof. Built-in faucet and connected pump make watering more comfortable

Storage containers are different: metal and plastic, large and small, purchased and home-made. If the area is small, and the tank is voluminous, there is enough liquid for several waterings.

A pipeline operating in the summer can be connected to any of the listed sources, but with a few reservations. Suppose a collapsible design is suitable for working with a plastic container, and it is better to build a permanent system to connect to a well.

Types of water pipes for irrigation

Before drafting a summer water supply for irrigation, you should find out which scheme is more suitable: collapsible or stationary. These two systems have the same purpose, but differ in the nuances of installation / dismantling (collapsible) and design features.

Collapsible scheme: pros and cons

home distinguishing feature collapsible design - the need for annual installation and dismantling. In the spring, the parts must be assembled, in the fall they must be disassembled, then all pipes, tubes, hoses and fittings should be cleaned, washed, dried and put in a dry room.

The assembly is made of plastic pipes connected by fittings, flexible hoses and tips for easy watering; Pressure adjustment is done with taps.

Temporary collapsible water supply is assembled and disassembled according to the principle children's constructor: it is necessary to take parts that are suitable in size and combine them into a structure that ensures the movement of water from the source to the place of irrigation.

Ease of installation and budgetary cost made the system popular: a lot of ready-made offers from various manufacturers appeared in supermarkets.

Elements of the irrigation system are most often sold separately, but the sales assistant can finished project pick up necessary details– from pipes and fittings to the pump. There are also full-fledged kits designed for drip irrigation, a fairly new technology, but already having regular fans.

The device of the drip irrigation system in the greenhouse: the source of water is a storage metal container (barrel) installed at a height of 1 m, as needed, flexible hoses are connected by means of a tap

Drip irrigation occurs through regulated water supply through flexible hoses with small holes located near the root system of plants. The advantage is the metered supply and water savings, in which the plants receive required amount moisture.

The advantages of any collapsible type are:

  • quick assembly and dismantling;
  • assembly that does not require special knowledge;
  • prompt repair;
  • budget cost.

There is also a drawback - the need for assembly / disassembly. Many people do not like the presence of hoses on the surface. They interfere with movement and spoil appearance area, but if you think about a neat, camouflaged placement of flexible hoses (along the paths, along the edges of lawns or beds), the problem will be solved.

A photo selection will acquaint you with the specifics of assembling an independent system from HDPE pipes:

Arrangement of a permanent system

For the construction of a permanent summer water supply, trenches are dug, by which it resembles communications that operate throughout the year.

Unlike the winter system, the pipes of the summer modification are not tied to the level of freezing and therefore are located at a shallow depth - about half a meter, a maximum of 0.8 m. lie.

Structural elements consist of plastic, metal-plastic, rubber or silicone; regardless of the material, the walls of the pipes and fittings must be thick and strong enough to withstand the pressure of water and soil

An obligatory detail is a drain valve, which is necessary for the procedure for draining water at the end of the season. It is installed at a convenient point in a sloped pipeline so that water can flow out on its own. The procedure is carried out before the onset of cold weather, without waiting negative temperature otherwise the water will freeze right in the pipes and damage them.

In addition to the pipeline located underground, water taps are needed, brought out. They are mounted at points located in close proximity to irrigation zones - in the garden, in the garden, near flower beds and lawns, as well as at the garage.

Flexible hoses with convenient spray nozzles are attached to the taps for more efficient irrigation or spraying of plants.

Installation of a water tap on a vertically located plastic pipe embedded in an underground main - a design suitable for planting on open ground, and for the greenhouse

Advantages of permanent plumbing:

  • communications do not interfere with the movement of people and vehicles;
  • pipes are protected by a layer of soil from damage associated with external influences;
  • in the spring it is not necessary to carry out installation, and at the end of the season - dismantling;
  • preparation for conservation is simple - draining water from pipes.

The disadvantages are the higher cost and additional excavation work. If a depressurization occurs, it is impossible to quickly determine the emergency area.

Brief overview of materials and required devices

The summer water supply system consists of the following elements:

  • pipes;
  • cranes;
  • fitting;
  • pump equipment;
  • filters.

For comparison, during the construction of a winter building, pressure control devices (, pressure gauge,), automatic protection, and a water heater are needed.

There are many options for automated systems that allow you to regulate and control drip or greenhouse irrigation.

Scheme of automatic watering in a greenhouse, assembled from flexible hoses. Pumping equipment that provides water supply from storage tank powered by solar panels

Ordinary water pipes made of plastic, polypropylene or polyethylene with a diameter of 20 mm to 25 mm are more suitable for deepening into the ground. Polypropylene products with reinforced layers are especially durable, for example, German Banninger pipes for hot water supply, which have a characteristic green color.

However, for small, slightly branched circuits, PVC pipes of medium strength are suitable. white color.

It is better not to place the hoses in the ground, but to use them on the surface. If you still decide to build a permanent water supply exclusively from hoses, then choose products with thick walls, reinforced with nylon fibers. Their service life is usually at least 15 years.

Fittings (tees, couplings, clamps, plugs) must match in diameter, ideally in material. Prefabricated structures usually include the required number of connecting and fixing elements to ensure tightness

The only volatile element of the system is a surface or submersible pump. It should be selected based on the data on the source of water and the characteristics of the equipment itself. For example, the best option for a pond is drainage pump, for a well - deep, and for a well, an inexpensive submersible model of the or type is sufficient.

Temporary plumbing assembly instructions

For the device of a seasonal "temporary hut" you will need a set of pipes and fittings that are suitable in diameter, and a pump for forced water supply. To correctly calculate the amount of consumables, draw up a drawing in the form of a sketch, on which you need to indicate the length of all highways and junctions.

Scheme of drip irrigation, which provides irrigation of the greenhouse, beds in the open field and garden plants. The object for the water supply is a storage tank installed on props, so the use of a pump is possible, but not necessary

To equip drip irrigation, it is enough to purchase a ready-made kit, equipped with instructions.

To assemble according to your own scheme, proceed according to the following plan:

  • lay out the pipes according to the drawing, determine the locations of the water points;
  • if there are enough elements, connect them with fittings;
  • attach additional parts (watering nozzles);
  • connect the system to a pre-installed pump;
  • test the plumbing.

With the pump turned on, check the force of pressure at all points and the tightness of communications. So that hoses and pipes do not get under your feet, try to think over the scheme so that they do not cross places active movement and road for vehicular traffic.

If you constantly use surface plumbing, use various ideas to make it easier to install. For example, during construction garden path lay under its base in several places transverse pipes with a diameter of 50-100 mm. For the winter they can be closed with plugs, and in the summer they will serve as a kind of tunnels for installing water pipes and hoses.

And you can read more about choosing flexible hoses for irrigation.

Installation of a stationary system with a pump

The main part of the permanent irrigation water supply system is placed in the ground, so the selection of parts and installation must be carried out with great care. We offer a universal scheme for laying highways, suitable for simple and branched networks.

#one. Drawing up a project taking into account the features of the landscape

Planning, taking into account all the nuances of the subsequent assembly, is half the battle, so even before buying the necessary materials, draw up a diagram with the designation of important objects (water source, irrigation points, all buildings, paths, beds and plantings).

Using a tape measure, measure the required sections of the site and calculate the length of the pipes and the number of fittings.

An approximate diagram of a summer water supply system: 1 - storage tanks for rainwater; 2 - storage tank in the garden; 3 - raised tank for drip irrigation in the greenhouse; I - II - tie-in nodes in the main line

Think about how best to position the trenches relative to paths, buildings, watering zones. Count on a shallow depth - 0.3-0.4 m, but for potentially dangerous places it needs to be increased to 0.7-0.8 m.

Do not forget about the tie-in drain tap - it is traditionally mounted next to the water intake, respectively, the slope of the pipes should also occur towards the source.

The more taps, the less often you have to move the flexible hose. Mentally break the garden (flower garden, lawn, garden) into small areas and plan to install hydrants with a hose or sprinkler attachment.

An approximate list of materials and tools that will be required to assemble the irrigation system:

  • pipes with a set of tees, elbows and fittings;
  • flexible hoses;
  • cutter and soldering iron for plastic pipes (hacksaw for metal - for metal);
  • ball valve ½;
  • pump for installation in a well.

The availability of various parts and their quantity depends on the requirements of a particular project.

#2. Earthworks - trenching

To dig a shallow trench, the only tool you need is a shovel. Buckets or a wheelbarrow for the removal of soil are not needed, as it is necessary for backfilling.

The complexity of the event depends entirely on the quality and composition of the soil and vegetation layer. Soil with a high content of sand, even with numerous plant roots, is easy to dig, removing PRS with the inclusion of clay components is much more difficult.

Excavation at their summer cottage: preparation of trenches for the installation of water pipes. Each turn of the trench - plus one compression elbow for connecting pipe segments

On the way of laying communications, there may be buildings that will have to be bypassed along the perimeter (for example, a barn or a pool). Small country objects can be overcome by slightly deepening the trench. Suppose communications laid under a flower bed at a depth of 0.7 m will not interfere with digging and caring for plants.

It should be remembered that each turn of the pipeline will reduce the efficiency of the system and increase the load on the pumping equipment. Therefore, when developing a scheme for laying a pipeline system, it is necessary, if possible, to choose paths with a minimum number of turns, and preferably with their complete absence.

#3. Piping Assembly Options

Previously, when metal pipes were used, it was necessary to deal with steel parts, the cutting and assembly of which was more laborious. Now they use plastic pipes, which are interconnected in two ways - by welding or fittings.

The first technology is a little more complicated, but the result is more reliable. Before welding, it is necessary to prepare polypropylene pipes - cut into fragments of the required length. For the central line, a pipe with a diameter of 20-25 mm is suitable, for branches - 10-20 mm, so cutting can be done with scissors or a roller cutter.

For welding, you need a special welding machine - and a compact control unit. As a result of heating, the pipes are soldered with fittings, forming a monolithic hermetic structure.

The process of connecting a polypropylene pipe and a connecting corner by welding. For reliability, it is necessary to withstand all stages: heating to the desired temperature, fixing and cooling

Before starting welding work, carefully read the instructions and remember the rules of use welding machine. For example, pipes should not be cooled with cold water or compressed air.

Having assembled a pipe structure, backfill do not need to be made - first, a connection is made to pumping equipment and checking work.

#four. Pump connection and testing

As a rule, at the time of construction of the irrigation system, the pump is already installed. If not, then you must select a model suitable for a particular source (for example, a well) and install it according to the instructions.

The submersible pump is lowered into the water and fixed at some distance from the bottom, the surface pump is installed next to the well, covering it with a protective casing.

Watering "directly": a flexible hose with a watering can is connected to a submersible pump that pumps water from a well. The scheme is also relevant for a pond or storage tank

Responsible moment - testing. After connecting all the elements into a single system, turn on the pump and check the tightness of the water supply. Pay attention to the quality of watering - is there enough pressure at the most remote points. If everything suits you, you can backfill, lightly tamping the soil, and start using the summer system.

Maintenance concerns mainly the operation of the pump. The pipeline only needs preparation for winter storage. To do this, open the tap and drain the water.
