Barbecue bath projects are a great opportunity to diversify your leisure time. One-story baths with a veranda

A great way to make good use of space in a small space. suburban area- projects of baths with a wooden beam terrace. This solution allows you to create a universal resting place that can be used in any way - place a kitchen, barbecue, put a table and a couple of sun loungers. The terrace perfectly complements the bath - with it, it becomes not just a place of hygiene, but turns into a full-fledged, albeit small, relaxation complex.

On the advantages of the two-in-one format

When the cottage is used only on weekends, the building, which combines a relaxing steam room, a spacious lounge and a cozy gazebo, becomes truly ideal option. Due to its versatility, such a project will save on the construction of a gazebo, take up little space, thus solving several tasks for arranging a country estate at once.

Dimensions and architecture future terrace determined based on its future function. If it is intended for a small family of 4-5 people, then a small veranda of 7-8 sq.m. will be enough. If on the terrace you have to equip a barbecue, a dining section with long table for 9-10 people, then its area should start from 10 sq.m. and more. On such a square it will be comfortable to spend evenings in a cozy circle of friends and relatives on warm summer evenings, especially after the magical effect of hot steam and a broom.

Most the best option pavilions built under the same roof with a bathhouse are corner open terraces. This form of structure makes it possible to separate summer kitchen from the place where the vacationers will be located. The advantage of such an architecture is that the smoke from the brazier will not disturb the guests, and the stoves and open fire barbecues are isolated, being at a safe distance from the guests.

Choosing a canopy

Next important point- what type of recreation is preferred by the owners of the cottage. If they like to relax in a cool shade, you should look at traditional solutions with a roof that is integral with the roof of the entire building. covered standard metal tiles, shinglas, etc., it will give a good shade and give comfort in excessively hot weather. The downside of this architecture is that it does not let in sunlight. In cool and inclement weather in such a gazebo it will no longer be too comfortable. Also, if one of the windows is under a canopy of the veranda, then the room will have to turn on the light earlier. But these nuances are insignificant, and cannot overshadow the advantages of such a design. After all, you can protect yourself from the wind with a solid partition provided in advance in the plan, and the lack of lighting is easily solved by modern technologies.

If the owners love sunbathing and visit their dacha until late autumn, they should take a closer look at projects with a translucent roof. In most cases, polycarbonate is used - it is inexpensive, durable and lightweight. Polycarbonate transmits light, heating the veranda in sunny days. This is especially good in the autumn-spring period, when you really want to bask in the sun, and the weather outside is not very comfortable. The disadvantage of such a canopy is excessive heating under it in hot weather. summer season. A way out of the situation can be a combination different zones like the photo below for example. In such a project, the advantages of both transparent and standard canopies are combined.

The best material for baths with a terrace and a barbecue.

Despite the many advantages of brick and concrete in the construction of houses and capital buildings, as a basis for baths, they are practically not justified. They have high thermal conductivity, the walls of them almost do not "breathe", accumulate moisture and give it to the premises. Complete opposite them - wooden beam. It perfectly keeps heat, does not accumulate dampness, since it is able to independently regulate humidity. And what pleasant feelings this natural material causes, and it is not necessary to describe.

A tree, and even in such a correct and nice shape, always creates special atmosphere home comfort, relaxation and rest. And the need to process the building protective compounds- not the most difficult procedure. It's easy to do - everything you need is in almost every hardware store.

How much does it cost to build a bath with a veranda?

Of course, such an extension will require additional investment. Look at our prices for baths with terraces - they are usually slightly higher than the cost of ordinary ones. But, as practice shows, it is still cheaper than building a free-standing gazebo from similar materials. Under each detached building, it is necessary to lay the foundation, bring paths, communications - depending on the complexity of the project or its purpose. In the project of a bath with a veranda, everything is done as if "at the same time". A single foundation, often a single roof and other structural elements. Such a solution will save both money and time for the implementation of the plan.

Baths with a terrace always have a high foundation, which helps to protect the premises from dampness and cold in rainy weather. A spacious outdoor summer terrace is the dream of every person who appreciates outdoor recreation and warm sunny days. If it so happens that your house is not equipped with a terrace, as happens quite often, you can compensate for this inconvenience by building a bath in the yard, one of individual projects which we offer for your review.

This option allows a person to simultaneously solve several problems:

  • the presence of a personal bath in your own yard;
  • the presence of a terrace, which can serve as an ordinary gazebo, without which it is difficult to imagine summer gatherings in the yard;
  • resolving the issue of family or friendly leisure activities;
  • and even a solution to the housing issue, if you have such a need.

Some terraces we offer to equip with garden barbecues, grills or barbecues for parties, picnics and just family dinners.

Sauna and guest house with barbecue and terrace

Bath - guest house - perfect solution for hospitable people, as well as those who like to live in a bathhouse. On the territory of the premises there is a built-in barbecue, and there is also enough space for the arrangement of chairs and tables.

Another interesting project that combines a bathhouse and a guest house in one room has a separate entrance for the room, in which the barbecue oven is located and the main doors that lead to the hallway, which is fully consistent with the rules. fire safety.

The proposed project of a bathhouse with a barbecue has an open terrace, which in size almost corresponds to the area of the enclosed space. This layout is ideal for people who love open space and at the same time appreciate the amenities given by civilization.

Sauna with terrace and billiard room 6x9

Gorgeous brick bath with a terrace and a stove imitating a fireplace, will serve as a real decoration of your yard.

The layout of the premises is very thoughtful and comfortable and includes the presence of not only a steam room, a bathroom and a rest room, but even a bedroom.

The main decoration of this room is the billiard room, where you can have a wonderful time, regardless of the season and time of day.

On the first floor of the bathhouse there are its main components - a spacious steam room and a washing room, as well as many additional rooms for a comfortable stay.

You can enter the attic with the help of the stairs, which is located in the corridor. The developers of the project suggest that this is where the ideal place for the billiard table and comfortable chairs.

Sauna with a terrace made of timber (56.2 m2)

A bathhouse with an unusual gazebo terrace can be very conveniently connected with a glazed or open corridor with main room residential building). In addition, such a structure looks more than impressive.

The room is equipped with a vestibule, has a very spacious steam room and a shower room, a separate bathroom.

Sauna with a terrace made of galvanized logs 48 sq.m.

Feature of the rounded tree in its ideality. All log cabins from which this project will be built will be completely identical to each other, which will ensure the prettiness of the building. On such a tree there are no latches and unsightly cracks.

Inside the building is divided into 5 separate rooms. All rooms in the bath are very spacious, and the living room and vestibule are equipped with big windows that let a lot of light into the room.

Thanks to the use of forging elements and foundations made of natural stone this project looks very solid and representative.

The building has an emergency entrance through a separate spacious boiler room and the main entrance through an open summer terrace. It is conditionally possible to divide the bath into two parts, because Right side buildings contain everything necessary rooms for bathing procedures, and the rooms located on the left side are intended for relaxation.

Sauna 6x6 with a terrace (26.4 m²)

Log baths are famous for their reliability and good looks.

Externally, the bath with a spacious terrace looks very compact, but inside the room fit as many as 7 spacious rooms.

Classic Russian bath with a terrace

wooden bath with a terrace, a washing room and a relaxation room - classic project Russian bath.

Sauna made of logs with a terrace 7.1 by 7.8 m

The rounded log is able to give an elegant look to any structure. A log bath with a terrace is similar to fairytale house from Russian legends.

A spacious outdoor terrace is ideal for summer picnics, and a steam room with a relaxation room will allow you not to get bored in a friendly company in winter.

Bath from cellular blocks with a terrace (53.3 m2)

Bath of cellular blocks - a building built "for centuries." This project has a very nice appearance and occupies a relatively small area on the site.

The bathhouse is notable for the fact that it has three entrances: from the terrace, from the side of the vestibule and from the washing room. The room has rooms for a separate living room and kitchen, furnace and utility room.

Wooden bath with shower and terrace

The project outside cannot be confused with a building for any other purpose, except for a bath. pretty wooden building will surely become a decoration of your yard.

On the first floor of the bath there is a shower room, a steam room, a living room, a vestibule and a terrace. There is no attic available.

A bath is not only a cleansing and health-improving procedure, but also an interest club, a meeting place for friends. And besides gatherings in the rest room, it is sometimes nice to spend time on the street. For such gatherings, terraces are attached to the house. They are open - if gatherings are planned only in the warm season, or closed - if you sometimes relax there in the winter.

Meeting friends, talking and relaxing with us are firmly connected with barbecue. Where there is a barbecue, there is a barbecue. And better than a portable barbecue can only be a stationary barbecue. So they often plan baths with a terrace and a barbecue.

In this bath project, the terrace covers the bath from three sides. A decent area will allow you to settle down with the comfort of any campaign. If desired, part of the terrace can be closed. You can rest in it on cold days. On a separate takeaway, you can install a barbecue or do it in one of the blind corners.

By interior layout bath project. Pay attention to how the oven is installed. It heats four adjoining rooms at once. If you plan to place a bath and in winter time, you will have to provide more heating for the rest room, so more power will be required. But the rest room will require a separate source of heat: it has a decent size, and is not heated by a sauna stove.

In the case of an all-season bath, it will be necessary to fence off part of the rest room under the vestibule or hallway. So that cold air does not interfere with rest after the bath.

This bath project has two entrances - one from the porch, the second from the terrace. The building has a separate bathroom and spacious kitchen, but the area occupied by the entire building with outbuildings is considerable: 14 * 7 m. There is a separate vestibule at the entrance from the porch. This entrance was planned as winter. In summer you can open wide sliding doors making the terrace even bigger.

A fairly functional option for planning a corner bath. It occupies a minimum of space, having all the necessary premises. The shower room is spacious enough to be installed in it. The stove is heated from the steam room, which is possible with such dimensions. By moving the doors, you can install the oven closer to the corner, and embed it into the wall. Thus, it will be heated from the shower, which in some cases is more convenient. For the rest of the premises, it will be necessary to think over the heating system (if the bath will be used in winter).

This layout has a "disease" of many projects: there is no vestibule for winter use. But there is a locker room, which is undoubtedly good. The only problem is what will come from the washer wet air and wet clothing is unacceptable. Therefore, this room must be very well ventilated. It is necessary to provide input and output air vent, and also put an exhaust fan on the weekend. Only in this case can rapid removal of moisture be ensured.

Which project to choose

The terrace can be located very close to the bath - adjoin one or more sides to the walls of the building, or it can be taken out at some distance from the house. If another option is to make a large area right next to the house and a small extension, connected by a path, for installing a barbecue - so that the smoke does not interfere.

The roof can be at the terrace and the house in common, but the foundations must be made independent. Between the base of the house and the site, if they are very close, a layer of insulation is laid. It serves as a separator. Thanks to this option, the shrinkage of the bath and the terrace can take place independently.

Since shrinkage can be uneven, then with the option of planning a house and a barbecue under the same roof, truss system make floating. It has the ability up to a certain level to compensate for the unevenness of the ongoing changes.

What base will be under the terrace

For terraces with wooden deck do more often columnar foundation- It is easier to manufacture and cheaper. For sites finished with tiles or porcelain stoneware, an insulated slab is needed if the finish is paving slabs, it can be placed on a profiled membrane and gravel and sand bedding. This is perhaps the cheapest and fastest option.

The pile foundation is less expensive, but it provides for the installation of only wooden support posts on which the roof will rest. Such barbecue terraces often have a low wooden fence. These projects fit well into the traditional style: they are attached to walls made of logs or timber.

To the baths, made in modern style, more often they attach open terraces with tiles (ceramic or paving), laid out finishing stone. But under brick or stone pillars, it is necessary to make a shallow slab foundation with insulation. In winter, on heaving soils without insulation, none finishing material will not hold, and the slab may crack (and most likely will). Without insulation, you can make a base for a terrace only on dry sandy loam soils that are not prone to heaving.

How to build a slab for a terrace with a barbecue with your own hands

The device of any foundation begins with land work. First, choose the soil for the width of the planned terrace, plus fifty centimeters. These half a meter go to create a protection insulated blind area. She closes the plate on the side and does not allow it to freeze.

The depth of the pit depends on the region, the degree of heaving of the soil, the thickness of the finish.

It is recommended to use extruded polystyrene foam (EPS) as a heater for the slab base. high density(not less than 35 kg / m 3). It has excellent thermal insulation properties, does not rot, does not absorb water, is not damaged by rodents and insects, fungi and mold do not develop on it, in addition, it is resistant to mechanical influences. For middle lane Russian thickness of polystyrene boards should be about 100mm.

How to make the junction of the base of the terrace to the foundation of a bath or house is shown in the figure. Please note that SPA anchors are not a mandatory part. If the slab is properly insulated, there will be no shifts and movements. Even if the entire terrace is covered with bricks. But for your own peace of mind, you can install them.

bedding

In the pit under the terrace, the remaining soil is leveled and rammed. A crushed stone substrate (middle fraction) 10-15 cm thick is poured, and it is rammed. Better not manually, but with a vibrating plate - the result will be better, less shrinkage. At this stage, the formation of the slope begins to create a blind area. From the edge of the terrace, at those very 50 cm, the crushed stone is leveled so that its layer becomes thinner towards the edge.

If the level ground water high, a drainage pipe is laid in rubble. It should be at a distance of 20-30 cm from the foundation of the house. Its function is to drain water that has fallen under the slab. 10-15 cm of sand are poured onto the compacted gravel, leveled, spilled, also rammed to a high density (when there is no trace of the boot). Here the slope for the blind area is also preserved.

Waterproofing and insulation

This is a modern waterproofing material - a profiled membrane. It has high reliability, at the same time, due to the uneven surface, it compensates for heaving forces

A waterproofing material is pricked from above. In the budget version, it is dense polyethylene film(density 200 microns higher), but it is desirable to use other waterproofing materials, in particular, polymer membranes. They are much stronger and more durable, besides, due to the uneven surface, they partially compensate for the loads of winter heaving.

The width of the waterproofing should be decent: one of its edges should run about 10-15 cm onto the wall of the building, the second should cover the blind area to the full width (the second edge is not fixed, then sprinkled with soil).

Laid on waterproofing polystyrene boards insulation. If the thickness of the insulation is 10 cm, it is better to take plates of five cm thickness and lay them in two layers, overlapping the joints of the lower row with sheets of the upper one. Styrofoam is also laid in part of the blind area, but here the thickness of the insulation is 50 mm (the slope “from the foundation” is maintained in this area).

Another layer of waterproofing is laid on the insulation, its width is the same, one edge is placed on the foundation of the bath. Both films are fixed together with a clamping bar.

Reinforcement and pouring of the slab

Now formwork is placed along the perimeter of the terrace (exactly along the perimeter of the terrace, excluding 50 cm on the blind area) - a board with a height of more than 100 cm, strengthened with posts or jibs, you can sprinkle it lightly with soil. Reinforcement is laid out on halves of bricks. They will provide a distance of 5 cm from the edge of the concrete slab.

When creating a reinforced frame, do not forget that reinforcement is required for each column or pillar. It is bent with the letter "G" and two such rods are tied in the right place

For reinforcement, rods with a diameter of 6 mm are used. They are laid in increments of 100 mm both along and across. Tie at the intersection with a knitting wire. Having finished the manufacture of the reinforcing frame, the concrete mixture is poured into the formwork. The thickness of the solution layer is 10 cm. It can be made standard: 1 part cement, 2 parts sand and 3 crushed stone, less water than cement.

To increase the frost resistance of the plate, it is desirable to process it. Since the depth is shallow, a surface model will be needed (you can rent it for a few hours).

Curing

After setting, the surface is covered with a film. If worth hot weather, for several days the stove is sprayed with water. The next day after pouring, wetting is abundant, on all subsequent days it is moderate. In addition to the film, you can cover the plate with something that does not transmit light - uneven heating can cause cracks. If additives accelerating the setting of cement were not introduced, then finishing can be started in three to four weeks.

It will be possible to remove the formwork a week after pouring. After that, above the blind area (extreme 50 cm), you can fill up the soil and level it. If desired, then you can sow grass or plant flowers - this is whoever wants it.

Pile foundation for terrace

If you plan to make a terrace with wooden flooring, you can get by with an easy-to-make pile, bored-rammed foundation. One note: this foundation will perform well in areas with low groundwater levels. If groundwater is close to the surface, it is better to make a shallow columnar one.

It is best to use pipes. Metal ones are expensive, and they need to be carefully treated from rust, asbestos-cement ones are the most acceptable option. Some put plastic sewer. Despite the low strength of such formwork, the option can be quite good. After all, the plastic is smooth, and it will be difficult for the resulting lateral heaving forces to “hook” it. And they are the most difficult to deal with: they almost do not miscalculate.

In any case, the pipe diameter is about 20 cm. The pile installation step depends on the type of soil, the load on the terrace. On average, it is 1-1.5 meters.

Wells are drilled in the ground below the freezing depth of the soil. They make a backfill with crushed stone by about 15-20 cm, crushed stone is rammed. Insert pipes, exposing their upper edges at the same level. To make it easier to expose inside the pipe, you can throw a couple of shovels of rubble.

The verticality of the installation is checked, alignment along the planes and is easier to do with the help of stretched threads. To do this, they drive into key points reinforcement bars, also set them vertically, then tie cords that mark the installation lines of the pillars.

Two or three bars of reinforcement (diameter 8-10 mm) must be hammered into each pipe. They must first be connected to each other. You can use any sufficiently ductile and strong wire that will keep the bars in position. It is necessary to arrange the reinforcement so that each rod is at least 5 cm from the wall. So they will be inaccessible to moisture and oxygen, which is why they will not rust.

After installing the reinforcement, you can pour the piles concrete mortar. To give the structure increased density, it is necessary to achieve uniformity of the solution. In this case, you need to use submersible, with a long flexible shaft and mace 1.5-2 meters. In extreme cases, you can pierce the concrete. They take a thick reinforcing bar, pierce the concrete through and through, then shake it a little. This removes air bubbles. Do this immediately after pouring. As a result, the solution settles a little, you have to add a little. Another option is to knock on the pipe, but preferably either rubber mallet or a wooden mallet (so as not to break the asbestos, as it is quite fragile).

How to fasten the harness

After the concrete has set, they are attached to the posts wooden bars bottom harness. Take better timber 150*50mm or 75*150mm. Before laying, they are treated with impregnations and antiseptics, if desired, they are tinted with stains and must be coated with varnish or paint. Paint and varnish products are used for outdoor work. It will reliably protect wood from atmospheric influences.

In order to prevent moisture from penetrating to the wood through the concrete, a layer of waterproofing can be laid on the tops of the piles under the bars (ordinary or euroroofing material in two layers). There are no problems with fixing the lag to concrete. You can do it in several ways:

More difficulties arise when attaching the lag to the building: not so much this operation is required. A reliable option is as follows: at the required level, fix the timber to the wall (do not forget to process it). Fasten with studs (for example, M12 * 1000), capercaillie or anchor bolts(with a diameter of at least 10 mm). The fastener installation step is 50-60 cm. To make the fastening more durable, they are installed in a zigzag pattern - one higher, the other lower. To prevent water from leaking between the wall and the beam, glue the joint with silicone sealant.

Logs and all other elements are already attached to the beam with special fasteners made of galvanized iron (see photo).

The height of the decking of the terrace should be just below the floor in the bath or house. Approximately 25 mm. This will prevent water from flowing into the house. To make it easier to navigate, you can measure the height of the window sill from the floor in the room. Then mark the level 25 mm lower from the outside, then lower the level even lower, but already by the thickness of the board (if you use a board 25 mm thick, then in general the support burs should be nailed below the floor level in the house, not 50 mm).

Therefore, they begin to mount the harness by attaching the support beam to the wall, and they are already guided along it when installing the harness and log. The same bar can be used when setting the level of piles (piles are set along the lower edge of the bar).

To two bars - one on the wall, the second on piles are attached transverse bars - logs. The step of their installation is 40-60 cm. After fixing the log, flooring can be nailed to them. It can be made from edged boards, or from a special terraced board. It differs in that a wavy profile is formed on one side of it. Such a surface is not so slippery when wet.

Sauna with a terrace and a barbecue area is an indispensable addition for comfortable rest, health improvement and cooking delicious food in the open air at any time of the year. Projects can only consist of a furnished and equipped with an oven, an extension open type or have weatherproof side panels. In the second case, the terrace can be used all year round.

The terrace is an extension of an open or closed type, which is erected directly at one of the walls of the bath (usually at the entrance). It has a foundation in common with the bath and roof structure. The undeniable advantages of having a terrace will be:

  • the possibility of complete relaxation without leaving the building and the simultaneous preparation of delicious food;
  • giving functionality to the bath - an additional room in warm weather can be used for sleeping outdoors;
  • a barbecue oven will become one of the spectacular elements of the bath, emphasize the status of the owners and provide additional heating of the adjacent room.

The extension is made from various materials: it can be wooden, block or brick. Everything will depend on the building materials of the main building. Accommodation also depends on the wishes of the customer. The terrace (veranda) fits perfectly into the projects of not only a rectangular, but also a corner bath and is placed along one of the walls, the facade or becomes a corner structure. How it looks in the photo below.

Bath terrace zoning projects

If you equip the terrace in the corner, the chimney is easily removed through the roof and eliminates the smoke in the room. A sliding removable woven, plastic or glass screen will ensure the use of the veranda, despite the change in weather. The main thing: the right heat - and waterproofing.

Budget buildings can be considered frame-panel. They can be either one- or two-story. The second option is already a multi-level extension, where you can not only cook food, but also relax comfortably at any time. Photo of the bath project with a terrace and a barbecue next.

The barbecue area, with proper placement, does not require special insulation, a chimney with good draft will perfectly ensure the complete discharge of combustion products without them entering the terrace space. In addition, for convenience, the veranda can have several entrances.

how ergonomic option placing a terrace with a barbecue - the area between the house and the bath, which is used as a gazebo and a transition from one building to another.

The barbecue oven is planned independently or with the involvement of specialists. The easiest option is a small brazier. But for brick bath a multifunctional stove is suitable, in which, in addition to barbecue, you can make smoked and hot dishes on an open fire.

For small terraces, or if you don’t want to be too sophisticated in cooking, a small brick oven-brazier is being built. If you have a very limited budget, a stationary stove can be replaced with an assembly brazier, simply by equipping a place for it (fire insulation and hood). This will be quite enough for the preparation of the lightest "after-bath food".

It is interesting and useful to use a place for a terrace if you make it multi-level. In this case, the porch gradually turns into a balcony and then into a gazebo with a stove or barbecue.

Building materials

The most expensive will cost a terrace made of timber. A bath without an attic, a terrace and a barbecue will cost 750-900 thousand rubles. A two-story building with the presence of all the indicated elements of the building already starts from 1.2 million rubles, if you order turnkey work. Economy offers for a small standard bath, complemented by a veranda with a barbecue - from 550 thousand rubles.

The minimum size of the terraces with a bath is 6-9 m 2, but if the family is large or a large number of guests are expected, it is better to immediately lay in the project at least 12 m 2 of area. When operating the bath only during the warm period, the size of the terrace can be significantly increased by saving on the rest room.

The extension must be designed at the stage of construction of the bath itself. Subsequently, such changes will require large expenditures (for the restructuring of the foundation and roof), so it is better to think through everything in advance.

It is also important to decide on the materials, if the bath is a log house, then it is better to build a terrace using wood, etc. The fact is that the difference in building materials can adversely affect the foundation, and, as a result, the entire structure. The interior design of the terrace does not need to be made in sharp contrast to the overall interior of the building. And not just for aesthetic reasons.

Each type of material requires a certain thermal and waterproofing, protection from damaging biological factors, has a different weight, heat capacity, and the ability to resist chemical and atmospheric influences from the outside.

As a recreation area fencing, wooden, brick or stone columns are used, on which the roof rests, and side elements of protection against wind, rain, sunlight etc. Today, the leading position in this is occupied by polycarbonate. It's easy to edit and shoot seasonally. He keeps his original view, does not deform, it is easy to clean it.

Materials for a barbecue oven must be heat-resistant, moisture-resistant, inert to drops temperature conditions, and the stove itself must operate on several types of fuel (coal, wood).

A terrace is a platform with flooring, which is arranged on a prepared base. There are a lot of types and varieties of this architectural addition:

  • It can be located near the house, or it can be completely unrelated to it, or connected by a path.
  • Maybe without a roof - then they say that it is open. Or with a roof - covered.
  • May or may not have walls. The walls can be solid or in the form of a fence.
  • There are single or multi-level.

If we talk about terraces that adjoin the house, then they are lateral and frontal, they can cover one, two, three or four sides. Sometimes they have irregular shape. They can be under the same roof with the main building or have their own.

Given that a variety of materials can be used in the manufacture, it is clear that the variations are simply innumerable.

It is not so difficult to build a terrace in front of the bathhouse or next to it. In general, most often the difficulties are caused by the lack of a project. If funds allow, it is better to order it, describing in detail what and how you imagine, what you want to achieve, and what things you absolutely do not like. If it is impossible to order the production of a personal project, there is an option to find one of the ready-made ones, slightly adjust it for your own needs. Here are a few projects of baths with different terraces that are easy to do with your own hands.

Bath 4 by 4.5 with a terrace

According to the project, the bathhouse consists of three rooms, a terrace is attached to it on a separate incoherent foundation (read about one of the options for its construction below). There are three rooms in the bath building:

The parameters of the premises can be changed by moving the partition separating the rest room. If a bath is being built for a dry-air sauna, a large volume of a steam room is not needed: calculate the number of people who should fit in one run, then calculate the area of \u200b\u200bthe shelves for their comfort device: for “sitting” places, you can take 1-1.2 meters per person, for “lying” places - 2.1-1.2 m. The width of the shelves is 0.7-0.9 m. Calculate the area of the shelves, add a place under the oven and its fencing and some area for free movement. Get the required area.

The calculation of the area of the steam room in the Russian bath is similar, then if you can not do “lying” places in the sauna - they usually only sit there, then in the Russian steam room they are required. Another difference is that the sauna stove enclosure is wooden structure, which prevents you from touching the hot walls. In the Russian steam room, if a metal stove is installed, then it must be closed, and this is a completely different size. Therefore, the area required to allocate a large.

Using such a bath in winter will not be comfortable: entering a rest room directly from the street and cold air will be a clear hindrance. To eliminate this drawback, you can either fence off part of the rest room under the vestibule, or make part of the veranda closed. The second option looks preferable because of the small dimensions of the premises. But then you need to either make an entrance from the other side, or move the doors.

Bath project 6 by 6 with an open terrace

This layout option manages the same number of rooms. It's just that their area has become larger: now the dimensions allow. In this variant, it is already possible to shield small room under the dressing room. And for winter use, it will be necessary to organize a vestibule somewhere.

If there is still an opportunity to add a little dimensions, you can already “fit in” the bathroom. Get already a guest bath house, especially if you make a two-story bath. One of the options, however, on the same floor, is located in the photo below. Large quantity

What materials are they built from?

To cover the terrace, you can use any construction material: wood, brick, building blocks, natural or fake diamond, paving, ceramic, porcelain tiles, natural or artificial stone, etc.

Despite the fact that wood outdoors is not the easiest material to maintain, most often terraces are made of wood. At the same time, use pine and spruce - have a constant headache: service, repair is necessary very often. More hardwood It is expensive, but it lasts longer and causes less trouble.

Near a brick bath, a terrace looks good, which also has a fence made of bricks; in this case, it is rational to lay out the terrace itself with tiles or stone. Much more practical option. True, for such sites it will be necessary to pour a concrete slab.

If your soil is dry and not prone to heaving, it will be enough to fill it with crushed stone and sand. It will be possible to lay paving slabs. It is available in different shapes and colors, so it can also look more than interesting.

The terrace with laid paving slabs looks very good. You can combine it with In this case, you will kill two birds with one stone

How to make a wooden terrace on a pile foundation

The most problematic option is wood. If you plan to use it, then you need to choose from varieties that tolerate being on the street well. It is also necessary to treat it with protective impregnations, varnishing or staining.

Preparing piles

For creating normal conditions operation for wooden terraces, it is necessary to think over the design so that water does not accumulate under the structure. In general, it is advisable to make a wooden platform elevated above the ground level so that the boards from below are well blown and ventilated. Therefore, most often for such structures they make a pile or column foundation. Moreover, the fertile layer is removed under the terrace, the remaining soil is leveled and rammed, and then covered with rubble and also compacted. They do this so that the vegetation does not rot and does not spread “aromas” and spores.

The installation step of the posts is at least 1-1.5 meters - so the boards will not sag. Production material - any. It is possible to hammer asbestos or iron pipes into the ground, pour concrete into them. This is a very durable, but expensive option.

Piles from roofing material

Much less funds(but more labor) will require piles with roofing material formwork.

The roofing material is rolled into round columns two or three layers. Diameter - 20-22 cm, height - about 1 meter (70 cm is recessed in the ground, 30 cm is on top). This is for soils of medium propensity to heaving. In order not to suffer with measuring the diameter of this formwork, you can use a template. If you find an eggplant from under the water of a suitable diameter (these are nine-liter containers), it will work simply: they screwed on the roofing material, secured it with tape, and took out the “pattern” by the handle.

Fastening, as usual, is more convenient with adhesive tape. Only on the powder, he does not want to stick. To ensure adhesion, we remove the crumbs in the right places with a brush, wipe the cleaned place with white spirit. After drying, the fixation is excellent. So cook required amount columns.

With the help of a drill, the required number of recesses is made slightly larger in diameter than the formed columns and 25 cm deeper. These 25 cm go to the pillow device: they are covered with a 15 cm layer of rubble, rammed. Sand is added, which is also rammed.

Then the formwork is installed in the prepared pits. All columns must be leveled. This can be done with the help of two bars hammered along the edges of the planned terrace, and a cord stretched between them. Its verticality can be checked by adjusting the height of the bars as necessary. The second way is to set the height of the bars using a hydraulic level (you can also use a laser, but it’s difficult to work with it on the street - the beam is visible only in the evening or in cloudy weather). Having fiddled with setting the cord, then quickly bring all the columns in one row to the same height. Repeat the procedure in the following.

How to attach support posts to concrete piles - one of the options

You need to set the columns vertically. Here you can not do without. A simple tool, but nothing better has yet been invented.

Further, to increase the strength inside, it is desirable to insert several bars of reinforcement - 2-3 per column. You can use smooth rods with a diameter of 8-10 mm. Then pour concrete inside. It needs to be compacted, since it is not worth knocking on the roofing material, you will need to take a long metal rod and bayonet (pierce through and pull a little from side to side). As a result of such actions, the concrete level will become slightly lower - air will come out, you will have to add a little. Everything becomes easier if you have a submersible manual or mobile. When the solution sets, you can proceed to further work.

Columns of bricks

On heaving soils, the columns can simply be squeezed out, which will lead to the terrace. Here you need a wider platform that will stabilize the situation. For such a foundation, small pits are dug out, 50 * 50 or 60 * 60 cm in size. Soil is rammed into them, crushed stone is poured in, it is also rammed, formwork is installed from boards 20-25 cm high.

Several pieces of reinforcement are laid on the halves of the bricks - along and across - to make a cage (2-3 bars each). A pipe is inserted into the middle (verticality is checked). All this is poured with concrete (it is possible with gravel). Thickness - 20 cm.

After the mortar has set, a brick column is made around the pipe. The height is brought out just below the required flooring height - leave room for the lower strapping.

How to make a bottom harness

There are two options for installing support poles:

The first method is more commonly used, but the second is also the case. He needs a little less cost, but there will be more fuss with laying the lag.

In the manufacture of the lower trim, a beam of 100 * 75 mm, 75 * 75 mm or wider is used - it depends on the size of the terrace and the load on it. They are treated with antibacterial impregnations, laid on a concrete column covered with a layer of waterproofing (lay a double-folded roofing material or smear with mastic, liquid waterproofing).

There are a lot of bars, but you can cheat by making a spliced timber from the boards. It will not work for supporting pillars - the appearance is not the same, but for the lag it is even better, as it has increased strength. How to make a beam from boards:

Regardless of the chosen method, all wooden elements must be impregnated with protective and antifungal compounds. For improvement appearance and extending the service life, they are varnished. Use better lineups for outdoor work, and if we talk about varnishes, then yachting is preferable - it is well adapted to a humid environment and protects wood from salt exposure.

It is possible to create a metal frame. You can use a powerful corner, square pipe. This base is more reliable and durable. It is well primed, then carefully painted and will serve for decades. In order not to damage the board when it comes into contact with metal, a waterproofing material is glued onto the metal - such as TechnoNIKOL, etc. When fixing the flooring, you will have to drill holes - it is unlikely that you will be able to screw the screws directly.

Flooring

After making and fixing the strapping, you can start making the flooring. Usually used edged board. There is a special terrace board- it has not a flat, but a wavy front surface, but it is more often laid around fonts or pools built into the terrace. The wavy surface, even when wet, does not allow slipping, and if you make a slight slope, the water will quickly drain without lingering on the flooring.

The thickness of the board, as for the floor, is rarely thinner than 20 mm, although its thickness depends on the distance between the piles. At a distance of 1.5 meters, the thickness of the board is 25 mm, then it will not sag when walking.

Tiled terrace

If you decide to make a platform not from wood, but from tiles, you can go in several ways. It all depends on how you imagine your terrace.

If you are satisfied with paving slabs as a coating, the technology can be greatly simplified. The process is very similar to the device. The technology is similar, you can use the same techniques.

Easy option

The simplest, but very reliable and effective option– using profiled membranes and geotextiles. In this case, the soil is removed to the width of the future terrace, the depth is small - 20-25 cm is enough. If there is a roof on top, the site can be made even, if the roof is not provided, a slope of 3-5 cm is formed per meter (from the foundation).

If the rainfall in the region is heavy, groundwater close, it is better to lay a drainage pipe along the edge of the terrace. This is a special corrugated pipe with holes. For her, they dig a small recess (about half the diameter), where they put it. The end of the drain pipe is brought out to drainage well or into the sewer system.

So that plants do not germinate under the coating, they are treated with special chemistry. After processing, the profiled membrane is spread over the entire width. If you are laying drainage, then the edge of the membrane should go into the dug groove, reaching its opposite edge. A drainage pipe is placed on the membrane. Now all the moisture will roll down the film and get into it.

On the other hand, near the house, a 10-15 cm membrane is placed on the wall. They fix it there. A layer of geotextile is rolled out from above. They also put him on the wall. Both films can be fixed with a clamping bar. The second edge of the geotextile ends above the drainage pipe (it is not fixed).

Now a layer of crushed stone of large and medium fractions is poured. Installed along the edge of the site curbstone(not above the drain pipe, but closer to the house). Crushed stone is well rammed (preferably with a vibrating plate, but do not ram the plate over the pipe). A layer of sand is poured on top, it is leveled, spilled with water and rammed. You can already lay tiles on it.

The thickness of the layers is 10-15 cm. The depth of the pit for the terrace is selected so that the tiles are laid at the required height. It is difficult to say exactly, since the tile can be different thickness. Based on the purchased coverage, calculate the desired depth of the pit around the house.

One "but": the described method is suitable for the case when the foundation and basement are insulated. If there is no insulation, half of the sand is poured onto the rubble, slabs of extruded polystyrene foam are laid out, then sand is added, and then tiles are laid on top of it. At the same time, the foundation of the house is also covered with expanded polystyrene plates to the entire depth of the dug pit.
