Plastic ceilings

Such a ceiling is made of PVC panels - a material that is malleable for coloring and giving various textures. Plastic panels are mounted on special rails installed around the perimeter of the room.

The frame can be made of wood or metal.

The plastic ceiling is unpretentious in care: it is easy to clean it from dirt, and if necessary, replacing the panels will not take much time. Plastic can also withstand impact high temperatures and is not afraid of moisture.

Stretch ceiling

For the installation of such a ceiling, a special fabric or PVC film (matte or glossy surface), fixed along the perimeter of the room to the clamps to the decorative profile.

This way of finishing the ceiling allows you to create a perfect flat surface without seams and joints. Design suspended ceilings of this type can be different, since any image can be applied to the film, as well as to the fabric used.

Stretch ceiling does not tolerate low temperatures and mechanical damage.

Drywall finishing

Moisture-resistant drywall can be used to organize complex ceiling systems, as well as to quickly level the ceiling.

Drywall sheets are attached to a wooden frame or metal base. Seams mask plaster mixtures. The surface of drywall can be covered with paint, wallpaper or other finishing materials.

Drywall is often used in combination with tension systems, choosing the most bizarre forms. However, such designs can only be organized in the kitchen with high ceiling, because the height of the structure itself can reach 30 cm or more.

The form

Thanks to the use of stretch ceilings and plasterboard ceilings in the kitchen, as in any other room, you can create planes located at different levels in the form of a circle, oval, flower, wave, cloud, etc. In case of multi-level ceiling It will also be interesting to work on the design of ceiling lighting in particular and the kitchen in general.

Lighting

A standard chandelier hung on a hook in the center of the kitchen can be easily replaced with more "creative" spotlights. The light can also play big role when zoning a room. For example, more light give to the working area of ​​\u200b\u200bthe kitchen and the eating area, while the "flower corner" or the far corners of the kitchen near the closet can be equipped with lamps with less power.
