Such an inconspicuous, at first glance, room, like a pantry, is a compact storage for apartment residents. It is here that you can rationally place a variety of household trifles, tools, tools and cleaning products, equip a dressing room, library or food compartment. Unlike private houses, where storage places are located in the attic and in basements, apartments often do not have sufficient footage. In this article, we will look at best ideas arrangement of the pantry various premises, as well as conduct a photo tour of successful designs.

Where to place the pantry: planning ideas

To find appropriate place for storing various household utensils and things in small apartments pretty hard. However, the organization of the pantry is the best way hide from prying eyes and keep rarely used accessories in order. If you take a good look around and apply some imagination, then even in a small Khrushchev you can carve out a couple of square meters.

Niche

The presence of a niche in the living room greatly simplifies the solution of the issue of pantry equipment. Such recesses in the walls can often be found in old buildings - they are located in hallways or living rooms, have different squares, but in any case they will successfully serve to create a storage facility. Depending on the shape of the mini-room, it is possible to place U-shaped or L-shaped, install a hanger bar or place household appliances. The tiny niche will become good place to accommodate washing machine or refrigerator, large space can be arranged as a dressing room.

Corridor dead end

If there are no niches in the apartment, do not despair - the pantry can be equipped using the empty space. Such an opportunity is, for example, the owners of long corridors ending in a dead end. In this case, it is enough to install a plasterboard partition or simply sliding sliding doors, which will limit the space of the pantry. Inside, as well as in a niche, the space is arranged depending on the purpose.

balcony end

An equally popular place to create a storage system is the end of the balcony. Here, too, often the owners of small apartments equip pantries. However, it is necessary to take into account the specific microclimate, which even on a glazed balcony is very different - this is both high humidity and sharper temperature changes. It follows from this that the pantry, equipped on the balcony, should not be used to store food or clothes - it is best to place household items here.

In the kitchen

It is convenient for any housewife to have a food storage system directly in the kitchen, where you can place various preservation, vegetables, cereals and other products. However, it is not necessary to single out large area- the storage room can be organized along one of the walls and have a depth of no more than 20 cm. To save space, you can leave the storage open or install sliding structure doors. In such a pantry, in addition to products, there is a place to store rarely used kitchen utensils.

In the bathroom

In the bathroom, you can also equip a small niche-pantry, where hygienic, cosmetic, washing accessories will be stored in an orderly manner. For this, the space of an empty corner is quite suitable, which is protected by partitions made of moisture-resistant drywall and a curtain. Sometimes a small laundry room is set up here, installing washing machine, or have an ironing board.

Before embarking on the arrangement of the pantry, it is necessary to determine exactly what will be stored in it, since the interior decoration and equipment depend on this. Depending on the purpose, the following main types of pantries can be distinguished:

- Wardrobes for clothes. Such storage is also called a dressing room and is placed in hallways, bedrooms, and children's rooms. for storage different types clothes, the pantry is equipped with shelves, drawers, racks or shoe boxes, crossbars with hangers. If the room is quite spacious, you can install wall mirror and a small pouffe for easy dressing.

- Household closets. As a rule, such pantries do not require large area, so it’s easy for them to find a place in a small space. Here, on the shelves, various cleaning products, cleaning supplies or tools are stored. In the utility room, it is important to maintain order, laying out supplies in their designated places, otherwise it will become non-functional.

- Storerooms for household appliances. Often, owners of small apartments have to puzzle over where to find a place for a washing machine, vacuum cleaner and other large equipment. The problem can be solved by a niche equipped with a pantry, for example, in the corridor or kitchen. To equip a mini-laundry, you must first take care of the electrical wiring and the water supply and drainage system, and for other accessories it is enough to equip capacious cells.

- Food storage. Such pantries are located mainly in the kitchens. Here it is important to arrange everything in such a way that the space between the products is clearly demarcated. It is not recommended to store products with a pungent odor (onions, garlic) next to cereals or herbs, as the latter will be saturated with an undesirable aroma. It is best to equip a separate container for each type of product (you can choose containers of different colors).

home library. Books, magazines, photographs, memorable newspaper clippings also need special storage conditions in order to preserve their original freshness for as long as possible. In the pantry-library, it is important to take care of good ventilation and lighting. If the room is quite spacious, you can install an armchair or a small sofa, thus equipping a small reading room, where you can have a good time reading your favorite novel or viewing a family photo album.

In addition to the types of pantries discussed above, there are also combined systems storage, where racks with clothes are adjacent, kitchen utensils and other household items. However, as practice shows, this is not the most convenient organization of storage, since it is often difficult to find the necessary thing, and there is a possibility of mixing different smells.

Pantry design in the apartment

Despite the fact that the pantry is a room, inner space which in most cases is closed from prying eyes, its interior decoration plays an important role. First of all, this concerns the layout, which should allow you to accommodate as many things as possible. It is important to choose the right materials for finishing and arranging shelving. And do not forget that order should reign in the pantry - only then it will be a full-fledged storage system, where every detail has its place.

Layout and furniture

When organizing a pantry, first of all, it is necessary to decide on the placement of shelving. Shelves can be arranged linearly (along one wall), L-shaped (in narrow long rooms) or U-shaped (in spacious ones). Next, you need to carefully take measurements and create a drawing, where all necessary details designs.

Pantry furniture is made from any materials - it can be shelves and drawers from natural wood, but this design is used extremely rarely due to the high cost of raw materials. Good for storage suitable furniture from chipboard or MDF. Also a good option would be metal constructions, grids that are placed in product niches. Shelves and pantry drawers can also be made of plastic, but this material is no different. high strength and is able to withstand only small loads.

Items on the shelves of the pantry are arranged in such a way that the most sought after are at an average height. Here, in addition to shelving, you can arrange various retractable structures boxes for miscellaneous items. The upper shelves store items that are rarely used, or clothes that are not relevant in this season, and the lower ones, as a rule, are reserved for shoes.

Pantry decoration

Choosing materials for the design of wall, floor and ceiling coverings, do not opt for expensive options. Walls can be painted silicone paint(not exposed to fungus and mold), paste over with wallpaper or decorate wall panels. The floor is decorated with linoleum, laminate or tiles, and the ceiling is whitewashed, painted or equipped with plasterboard with a built-in lighting system.

Lighting

For small room, where there is no source daylight, it is necessary to provide a bright lighting system. Often this role is played Spotlights or spots, although in a spacious room you can install a non-bulky chandelier. Effectively highlight the depths of the storage help led strip along the shelves.

Door

The choice of a door to the pantry is one of important points, since it acts as a facade of the repository. In the hallways, sliding compartment doors are often equipped with mirror surfaces, although no less interesting is the design of the wings with 3D paintings with a perspective. Also convenient is the option of accordion-folding doors - they significantly save free space.

When installing hinged doors you can disguise the canvas with the same finishing material as the facade of the hallway - then the pantry will not attract attention at all. Although hinged structures will require space for free opening, their inner side will also serve to attach storage. On the doors you can place small racks or fabric envelopes for tools and other small things.

Some newly minted owners of an apartment with a pantry are in a hurry to expand their living space by demolishing it. But is it right? Even if your family has only two members, every year the number of things will increase, and with the birth of a child, they will grow exponentially. Where to store all used household items, how to place them in order to save living space? In the closet, on the balcony, or on the open shelves in the bedroom? Of course, the pantry is the best option of all. It is about the design and design of the pantry in the apartment that we will talk today, and also see photos of the pantries along with the Dream House website.

In fact, the importance of the storage room can hardly be overestimated - seasonal items are stored here (umbrellas, scooters, sleds, skis, and even), Appliances(vacuum cleaner), construction tools, cans with blanks and even clothes. But in order to streamline the placement of all items and not turn the pantry into a source of trash, you need to work a little on its design, which we will do now. But first, let's see where you can organize a storage room if it is not provided by the builders?

Where can I make a pantry in the apartment

Even those who are not fortunate enough to have such functional room, you should not be upset, you can always build it by using some unnecessary or secluded corner of even a small apartment. So, where and how to make a pantry in the apartment:

  1. In a niche - in this case, redevelopment is not even needed, we make shelves and close it beautiful door. That's all, the storage room in the apartment is ready!
  2. At the dead end of the corridor - perfect option if your apartment has a long corridor. A few square meters in its dead end is fenced off (possible with the help) and a door is placed.
  3. Above the door - the option is not very good, but it is suitable for the most extreme case, if there is no other place in the apartment. As a rule, such structures are built in the kitchen and used to store conservation.
  4. In the closet - in principle, in itself plays the role of a small pantry, its spacious shelves allow you to store often and little-used household items.
  5. In one of the rooms - in this case, you will have to reduce the room by several square meters. If you are ready to make such sacrifices - go for it!

Making repairs in the closet

Before you start renovating your storage room, you need to think in advance what you will store there. Will it be a tool cabinet or a place to store household appliances? Or maybe all at once? In any case, in order to correctly think over lighting and ventilation, as well as to make the design of the pantry room the most functional, it is advisable to draw a plan for this little room.

Decorate walls and ceiling durable materials so that, due to peeling or falling off wallpaper, repairs are not made here every year. Perhaps, the best option for walls and ceilings can be considered plastic panels. Drywall for painting can also be considered, but experience shows that it fails earlier (worn and chipped corners are confirmation of this).

It is better to put non-slip material on the floor, as a rule, the floor in the closet is made the same as in the adjacent room. and linoleum for these purposes are ideal.

As for the door, it should not be knocked out of overall design premises. From the point of view of practicality and space saving, it is better to make it sliding. Sometimes the door to the pantry is made mirrored, but most often the same doors are ordered for the entire apartment (including the pantry).

How to equip a pantry in an apartment

Now comes the turn of the most interesting lesson - dividing the pantry into sections. Let's see how to equip the pantry in the apartment in terms of functionality. To rationally use a small area, it is better to use every centimeter and every corner. Downstairs usually do open shelves for seasonal shoes - in boxes or without them, shoes and boots will wait in the wings safe and sound. Here you need to clarify what you can use to store shoes conventional shelves, or you can install special ones, which are installed at an angle for ease of use and space saving. Also, at the bottom of the pantry, do not forget to take a separate section under.

The middle shelves are reserved for frequently used items. Here can be placed drawers for clothes, shelves with tools - in general, at the level of an outstretched hand, all the things that are needed in everyday life are located. The recommended depth of the shelves is about 40 cm, but this value can be adjusted depending on the area of the pantry. Make sure that you are comfortable and, at the same time, all things are laid out in their places, because there is no place for clutter in the pantry.

One of the walls can be taken under the wardrobe by installing rods and hooks for hanging clothes. Agree, taking a clean and ironed dress off the hanger is much more pleasant than pulling it off the shelf, and then wasting time ironing it. Even in the smallest pantry, you can allocate space for installing a hanger bar.

And finally, we got to upper shelves on which little-used items are placed. To get to them, you have to stand on, but you don’t need to do this every day, because there are stored various boxes, children’s things that are already small for a child, and all unnecessary trash that is waiting to be thrown away.

Even a small area comparable in size to can be turned into a pantry. For example, in the kitchen, such a closet is used to store funds. household chemicals, mops, buckets and vacuum cleaner. At the same time, in order to save space, mops and brooms are stored vertically on the door, and a roll of napkins is hung on a special holder (also on the pantry door).

If the area of the pantry allows, then do not forget to provide a folding one. And here you can equip shelves for storing conservation. An interesting option is the “pantry in the pantry” design - one of the walls is taken under the shelves for conservation and closed. The rest of the space is arranged as you like. Thus, it becomes possible to combine the storage of preservation and clothing without fear of spoiling it.

The pantry is exactly the room, the importance of which is invaluable in every home. In some standard projects the presence of a storage room is provided at the design stage. To prevent the apartment from being turned into a cluttered room, you can store seasonal items, construction tools, and household appliances in the storage room.

Where to equip the pantry

It’s not scary if you are unlucky with the layout, and such multifunctional room not provided in the house or basement. You can build a pantry with your own hands, there are numerous master classes with photos on the Internet. There are several options for this.

  • If it is possible to allocate a few square meters in the apartment for a pantry, then after working a little on the design, you will get the perfect utility room.
  • Shortening the length corridor(if the area allows), you can equip a full-fledged utility room by making a plasterboard partition with a built-in door.
  • Many typical designs include niches which do not require redevelopment. Arranging at will sliding door, you will hide the shelves in the pantry, remove them from view.
  • Another option, though not entirely successful, but suitable in a hopeless situation: by constructing shelving for the pantry above the door, you will unload the kitchen from unnecessary cans and boxes.
  • Quite often, the basement of an apartment building is used for this purpose.

Pantry device

In a private house, there are more opportunities to turn around, but having allocated space for a pantry, you need to think through every detail, since the area in the apartment is limited, you need to use it to the maximum. The most rational is the equipment with shelves, which will avoid piling up various items. The main thing is that when choosing a material for the construction of a pantry, it is necessary to take into account the expected load on shelves in the apartment.

If the pantry has sufficient space, then the equipment shelving- most profitable solution. Only, mastering such a structure, it is worth considering the following factors:

  • weight and dimensions of stored items;
  • section dimensions to avoid deflection of the shelves under the pressure of the load;
  • the width of the racks in the manufacture of their own hands must be calculated taking into account the free space for passage.

Storage rooms were provided next to the bedroom in Khrushchev apartments. In this case, it is convenient to make an opening between the bedroom and the utility room, and install a partition in the corridor with your own hands, leaving additional niche for built-in wardrobe. Thus, the pantry from the side of the corridor will be intended for household items, and the space in the bedroom can serve as dressing room. good good example such a design will serve as numerous photos on the Internet. Another type of layout provided for closets in Khrushchev's houses with walk-throughs, which were also a vestibule. In this case, the pantry can be divided into two parts - it will turn out in the back room in the bedroom and the corridor, you can close one opening, leaving the entrance from the room.

Pantry renovation

Repair of the pantry where they are collected and stored the largest number little-used items, sometimes just needed. This is due to the fact that the pantry is a kind of dust collector. The extent of the repair depends on its purpose. Consider what kind of storage it is intended for. The design of the pantry is also of no small importance.

Advice! To avoid mice and other pests, especially in the basement, protect the ventilation openings with a net with small cells and don't forget to clean it.

Drywall can serve as a material for finishing the ceiling and walls. But it is more practical to use durable plastic panels that are easily wiped with a dry cloth and washed with water. For the floor, linoleum or tile is applicable, and the doors must be in harmony with the main interior of the room.

Wardrobe

Having an already planned pantry, it will not be difficult to re-equip it with your own hands. To get started, free up a room or a niche from household items, update interior decoration and doors. Wallpapering is the most economical in terms of time and money, but finishing with plastic panels is more practical. As visual aid browse the photo collection.

Some people deliberately refuse storage rooms in the apartment, increasing other rooms at the expense of them. But it’s better not to do this, because the pantry gives the apartment additional functionality and helps to maintain order in the house. However, the interior space of the pantry must be organized in such a way that each thing is in its place, otherwise utility room will turn into a warehouse of forgotten rubbish. Well, the design of the pantry deserves special attention.

What is the closet for, and where can it be located?

The closet is very the right room in the apartment! Here you can store old press, repair tools, sports equipment, outerwear, conservation, household appliances, kitchen utensils, cleaning products, seasonal items and many other necessary things that you do not use every day. This is a standard, but far from the only use of the pantry. In addition, the pantry can be turned into a dressing room, laundry room, linen room, workshop, library or home office.

If the area of your pantry is very small, then you need to thoroughly work on its arrangement, using main principle: each thing has its place! If there is no such room in your apartment, it should be done.

The first option for creating a do-it-yourself pantry is a branch in the corner of the big room 2-4 square meters with drywall partitions. The second option is the arrangement of an existing niche. The third option is to cut unnecessary space at the end of a long corridor. The required area is fenced off drywall sheets, in one of them a door is cut through. From above, you can create a mezzanine, and place shelves, racks or hangers inside, depending on functional purpose storerooms.

The main principle of the pantry: each thing has its place

An alternative to a full-fledged pantry is to equip shelves above doorways. Here you can store conservation, books, dishes and other items. Also in the role of pantry can be a spacious closet. If, after placing all the clothes, it still has free place, use it to place tools or small household items.

  • cereals and others bulk products should be stored in tightly sealed jars to prevent the entry of pests;
  • vegetables should be stored in well-ventilated boxes to prevent mold;
  • Detergents should be stored as far away from food as possible so that the food does not absorb the smell of chemicals.

How to equip an apartment with a universal storage room

But most often the pantry in the apartment is not functional, but universal. This means that everything is stored in it: from old suitcases to supplies. toilet paper. To equip such a room, the following elements are required:

  • corner shelves for seasonal shoes located at the bottom;
  • a section for a vacuum cleaner, suitcases, bags of cereals, bottles, buckets and other bulky items in the lower part;
  • medium shelves with a depth of no more than 40 cm and in drawers for frequently used items (linen baskets, tools, household items, clothes, dishes, etc.);
  • segment with a bar for storing outerwear;
  • upper shelves for storing rarely used items (old children's things, toys, boxes with Christmas decorations, etc.);
  • mesh boxes for storing groceries;
  • hooks for rollers, scooters, sleds.
A movable ladder will help you get things from the upper shelves

Any inexpensive, but wear-resistant materials are suitable for finishing such a room: linoleum, wallpaper water-based paint etc.

Ventilation, humidity, lighting

Ventilation, lighting and moisture control are important factors in the arrangement of the pantry.

Ventilation

Since pantries usually do not have windows, it is necessary to organize competent ventilation in this room. This can be done with a ventilation system that will help prevent bad smell and damage to things as a result high humidity. To in air vent insects did not get in, it should be covered with a mosquito net.

Ventilation system Helps prevent bad odors and damage

Humidity

Moisture often accumulates in the pantry, which can spoil your products. Therefore, carrots, beets, potatoes and other waxes are best stored in metal mesh boxes. They are well ventilated and do not allow vegetables to grow moldy and rot. To provide flat surface, it is recommended to cover the bottom of the boxes with plywood, cardboard or plexiglass. Instead of boxes, you can use wicker baskets.

The most convenient, perhaps, a device for storing things - Walk-in closet. After all, it's really great when all the details of the wardrobe are in one place and you can immediately assess how well the set you have just chosen is combined, and not run from room to room - take it, try it on, see it. Moreover, you can make a dressing room in a very small area: the minimum is 1.5-2 square meters. Even in a small apartment, it is possible to shield such a space. Moreover, it has been noticed that it is more convenient to use them if the dressing room is assembled with your own hands. It's simple: no one knows your habits better than you and will not be able to arrange things in right order. So let's get started independent creation dressing room.

Dressing room sizes

Our reality is that most of the people live in small apartments where every centimeter counts. Therefore, size issues often play a decisive role. The smallest dressing room can have an area of 1.2 - 1.5 square meters. meters. This is a rectangle with sides of 1.5 * 1 meter or so. Also, a small dressing room can be angular - this option is even more spacious than a rectangular one of the same area: with equal area the length of the sides on which shelves and storage systems can be placed will be greater.

The smallest dressing rooms: 1.5 by 2.5 m and 2 by 2 m

A rectangular mini-dressing room with one-sided placement of things should have a width of at least 1.2 m, with a two-sided one - at least 1.5 m. The depth should be such that it is possible to “enter” there. In this, dressing rooms, basically, differ from sliding wardrobes, and also in the ability to install any doors.

Ventilation and lighting

Even in mini-dressing rooms, and even more so in large ones, ventilation is necessary: in closed room the smell of mustiness quickly appears, which no perfume will mask. Therefore, even when planning, find a way to make ventilation in the dressing room.

The principle of its device is no different: in the upper part of any of the walls, preferably further from the door, exhaust hole where the fan is inserted. The inflow is provided either in the gap under the doors or in special inlet openings located just above the floor level. They are closing decorative grilles. The outlet of the ventilation duct must be in common system ventilation, can plastic boxes take it outside or under the roof of a private house. The air exchange organized in this way effectively maintains the normal state of things.

Principles of organization of ventilation of the dressing room through the bathroom

When choosing a fan, you should pay special attention to the noise level. Since walk-in closets are often made in or close to bedrooms, noise should be kept to a minimum. It can be controlled by automation or turned on / off by conventional or.

Lighting should be bright. Firstly, it is necessary to quickly find things, and secondly, dressing rooms are often used as fitting rooms in order to immediately see how the selected items fit together. In this case, a mirror is usually placed on the door or mirrored doors are made. In this case, the light should be directed not only to the shelves and storage systems, but also to the fitting area.

You can use lamps of any type, but it makes sense to make them turn on from motion sensors. They opened the doors - the lamps lit up, there was no movement, they turned off. There is another option for swing doors, there are lamps with buttons that light up when the door is opened and turn off when they are closed.

Where to do

Even in small apartments there are “appendicitis” that cannot be used normally. Here in such a place you can make a dressing room.

Another popular option is storage. In this case, everything is generally simple. You remove everything superfluous, change the doors and install the appropriate content: racks, racks, baskets, shelves.

If there is nothing like this in the apartment, they fence off part of the room - the end or corner - you need to look at the layout. The corner dressing room is good because it allows you to use the most difficult areas to equip, namely the corners. Especially if there are closely spaced doors in two adjacent walls. This zone is considered
there, in addition to a small corner shelves you will not put anything: everything will interfere. Approximately the same option - two windows or a window and doors.

If the area turns out to be too small, it is possible to increase it a little, making the wall not even, but with the middle extended a little. The area of the room will not decrease much from this, but much more things can fit.

They are also made on the loggia - by making part of the glazing opaque or by building a wall. Only here you can’t do without warming - it’s unpleasant to put on cold things in winter.

The second option is suitable for wide loggias. In them, shelving can be placed along a long wall.

In the corridor or hallway, a corner or “appendicitis” is also blocked out, if the layout allows. Here everyone can decide only on the spot: there is a place for this or not.

Most of all, a dressing room is appropriate in the bedroom. It's just here optimal location for storing things: in the sense that it is more convenient to dress here. Therefore, for these purposes, part of the room is fenced off. In this case, this technology is needed for a long time and has been worked out to the smallest detail. It won’t take much time even in the absence of experience: a maximum of two or three days for assembly and finishing.

If you make a partition from GKL or GWP in accordance with all the rules, you will need double cladding, and these are “eaten” centimeters, or even meters of area. Therefore, most often they are sheathed only on the outside, but with two sheets with overlapping seams. When assembling the frame, do not forget to make reinforced racks for fastening the door. With a single cladding, bare profiles remain inside, but it is convenient to hang shelves-baskets for things on them. If you plan to do so, then take them with a thick wall: so that they normally hold weight.

The partition can also be made from or, slabs. This is an option for those who do not like to mess with putty. But you need to choose a lamination that will fit into the interior without any problems.

What is good about a do-it-yourself dressing room is that you can put any doors: sliding, like "coupe", accordion, ordinary hinged, hinged on rollers. You can even do with them completely bases. This option is called a wardrobe-rack, but then everything will have to be kept in perfect order: all in sight. The most budget option is thick curtains or something like a Japanese curtain.

If the front wall is large, part of it can be stationary, part - occupied by doors. In this case, stationary walls can also be used somehow. If desired, the doors can be made in full width, or consisting of fragments.

A dressing room option in the attic: a side part with a low ceiling is occupied under it. Full width doors for easier access

The design can be anything, as long as it fits into the look of the room. If desired, they can be made to match the walls so that it is not visible, or you can make them bright and conspicuous.

Arrangement: filling and storage systems

If the area is limited, it makes no sense to make furniture made of wood, MDF or chipboard in the dressing room. They take away precious centimeters of area, and even interfere with the movement of air. Another disadvantage: it is problematic to remake something.

Furniture of the "standard" type takes up too much space

Recently, the general trend is the installation of lightweight metal storage systems. They are modular, assembled on special racks. Racks can be attached in two ways - to the walls or to the ceiling and floor: different manufacturers do different systems. And already on these racks they hang everything that is necessary.

Racks can have notches along the entire length, which makes it possible to install any element at any height. These are the most mobile systems that can be modified easily and simply - simply by hanging from one row of notches-hooks to another, changing the height of the shelves, baskets and other elements at random.

There are racks of rectangular section, with grooves cut on both sides. In these grooves, the necessary components are attached to the clamps.

Please note that there are different shelves and drawers - made of wood or wood materials, metal - chrome-plated or painted. They can be retractable, they can be placed one on top of the other or on shelves.

All these systems are sold: racks and list different components. But they are mainly produced in European countries, because the price "bites". An economy version of wardrobe equipment can be made independently from a round chrome-plated furniture pipe and various fasteners for it. It turns out that this furniture is not as mobile as we would like, but it costs significantly less.

Appliances for placing clothes

In addition to standard and not very drawers, shelves, there are interesting special options. For example - skirts or trousers. Special guides on which the cross bars are fixed, sometimes there are clips on them. They allow you to hang skirts / trousers evenly and not be afraid that they will fall. It is convenient if such a hanger extends, allowing you to inspect all the contents.

One of the options for filling the dressing room is a bracket for skirts or trousers.

This device can be replaced by a simpler, but much cheaper one - a hanger with crossbars located one under the other. This is not so convenient, but it allows you to organize your clothes just as well.

There is a retractable design for ties, only it, as a rule, is oriented differently and extends in length, although not everyone likes such a system, but rather folded into drawer cells.

There are several ways to place hangers. The simplest is pipes, more economical (in terms of space use, but not in terms of money) is tie-like retractable brackets.

Another device is a pantograph for clothes. This is also a pipe, but capable of descending. A kind of lift for clothes. Such a device allows you to use the space up to the ceiling, and not to the detriment of your comfort. It can be attached both to the side walls (the more common option) and to the wall. A rod-handle is attached in the middle of the pipe, pulling which you lower it to horizontal position. The carrying capacity of such devices is usually small (up to 18 kilograms), therefore they are used for light - in terms of weight - clothing.

Shoe storage systems

Often there are problems with storing shoes: some of them have dozens of pairs, so it’s just right for them to arrange separate dressing rooms. But among the standard sets of equipment there are several interesting ones for storing shoes.

Let's start with the retractable system. She is in IKEA. Pins with modules for shoes, mounted on a movable frame. Convenient, compact.

There are mini chests of drawers that do not take up almost space, but are hung on the walls, there are hanging organizers which are easy to place on a horizontal pipe.

These are mini chests of drawers on the wall.

In general, for shoes there are many interesting ideas, allowing you to place it compactly and at the same time conveniently. Some are in the photo gallery.

There are quite inexpensive options. For example, seasonal, the one that is currently in use, can be stored on a grid with rearranged hooks or wire shelves. You've probably seen similar ones in stores. This is a mesh or perforated panel on which hooks / shelves are hung. Convenient: you can move under any type of block, make more or less distance.

Hanging such a grid is not a problem - even on the wall, even on side surface cabinet or door. Hooks and shelves simply cling to the crossbars. This option is ideal when there is a shortage of money and space. If you like the idea but need something more presentable, make or find a perforated metal frame shield. Hooks are also inserted into it with a bang.

In general, when arranging a dressing room and on a limited budget, you should look for storage systems not in furniture stores- on-line or off-line. Better take a look at the sites that sell trade software. There are many interesting gadgets, saving space: stores also try to put the maximum amount of goods on the minimum area. For example, such here racks for footwear.

If you attach wheels to the first, you get an excellent retractable system. The price for such equipment is much less than for similar equipment, but which is sold in furniture stores.

Making a wardrobe project

There are a lot of ideas for equipment and storage systems, as you can see. But so that it does not turn out that the purchased great thing it just doesn’t fit into your wardrobe, you need to draw a plan on which you indicate all the dimensions and dimensions. It is drawn to scale, then on it you mark out those parts that must be mandatory. They are drawn in the same scale. If everything “fits in”, armed with dimensions (you have them, or you can measure in the figure and, using the scale, calculate real values) you can go to the store to choose systems.

There is another approach. Find out the dimensions of the devices and systems you like (mounting dimensions), cut them out to scale from cardboard or thick paper and try to combine everything. If it works, great, you can buy it. No, look for other options. As a result of your efforts, you should get approximately the same layout as in the photo.

To make it convenient to use the equipment and get things, it is necessary to maintain the following distances:

  • minimum distance from shelf to shelf:
    • when storing things - 30 cm;
    • when storing shoes (without studs) - 20 cm;
  • shirts, jackets, jackets - 120 cm;
  • trousers:
    • folded in half - 100 cm;
    • in length - 140 cm;
  • compartment for outerwear - coat - 160-180 cm;
  • under dresses - 150-180 cm.

At the very top, we allocate space for clothes of a different season or rarely used things. Often there is a place for a vacuum cleaner below, and a built-in ironing board is made in one of the cabinets.

For those who like to work with their hands, here are a few diagrams with dimensions so that you can equip your dressing room with your own hands (at least partially).
